1361  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Karty SIM; split z: gdzie rozdają kryptowaluty za darmo? on: October 24, 2019, 07:23:43 AM

1362  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: October 24, 2019, 06:58:21 AM
1363  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more bitcoin dump ? on: October 24, 2019, 06:40:03 AM
It obviously looks like a manipulation by a sudden dump by the whales. It's not really a crisis since I doubt the whales could affect the market apart from what they already did. It shouldnt go below 6k or even 6500 at that especially with the halving on 2020. It is a plus on those who want to accumulate coins before the next growth or the market this coming 2020.

Not everything is a whale manipulation. There isn't enough optimism to drive the price higher, perhaps bitfinex/tether isn't willing to print USDT out of thin air to prop up the price, and the halving is likely to be mostly priced in considering that it's public knowledge.
1364  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 24, 2019, 05:27:29 AM
Posts in all threads are counted and all boards. I banned a couple guys because 30-50% of their posts were claims in games and rounds and I don't believe those types of posts or bounty claims should be paid posts.

Of course those users whined and said I'm not being fair but I feel they're not being fair. Either choose to be a bounty/giveaway claimed or choose to be in a sig campaign. No double dipping

Wouldn't it be better to exclude certain boards (Micro Earnings and Games and Rounds for example)? It's not like anyone's going to be writing constructive posts in those child-boards anyway.
1365  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum console command on: October 24, 2019, 04:10:59 AM
ouch!

Is there any way to check if OS is compromised? I'm using Kali Linux...

Thanks

To be on the safe side, you should at a minimum reinstall your system. Don't take any chances when money is at stake (I assume you'll be using this OS instance to handle bitcoins).

Electrum: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/tree/master/contrib/build-wine

Mycelium: https://github.com/mycelium-com/wallet-android#deterministic-builds

Afaik Andreas Schildbach's Android Wallet can also be built reproducibly.
1367  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex moving headquarters from Malta to Liechtenstein on: October 23, 2019, 08:29:04 PM
Prince of Liechtenstein has previously been cautiously enthusiastic about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, I guess this Act is him showing he has made up his mind.

Bitbay is also leaving Malta, but they're moving to Estonia. Malta's regulations are not as lax as in the past, probably due to AMLD5.
1368  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATM. on: October 23, 2019, 08:23:46 PM
I think there is no space for "later sending money". All transaction must be instant, he can't wait for big price changes can easily lose profits.

Nowhere have I written it isn't (near-)instant, as long as he has enough fiat money in his exchange account he doesn't have to send more right away.
1369  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATM. on: October 23, 2019, 07:29:49 PM
Still a little confused, So when i start the ATM up, when someone comes in as purchasing Bitcoin, it comes off an Exchange and then i have to put the exchange the cash entered and take my %?

Ideally you would already have an account at a cryptocurrency exchange with fiat money deposited. Whenever someone buys bitcoins via your ATM, coins would be bought on the exchange and sent to the buyer. Once in a while you'd either add fiat money or take them out and deposit them at your bank, later sending the money to the exchange's bank account. Whether you'd add more money to the ATM or withdraw would depend if you had more people buying or selling. Costs/fees cited will be different in every country, take them with a grain of salt. Same with what fees you can get away with.
1370  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section on: October 23, 2019, 07:10:30 PM
The irony of participants applying voluntarily for the campaign after reading all the details and then being "forced" to post in a certain board or comment on topics that he/she is not familiar with  Cheesy It may be the money that is forcing participants and not the campaign.

Not money, greed. They shouldn't be joining such campaigns if it results in them posting very low quality posts just so that they don't get kicked out of the campaign.
1371  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto games? on: October 23, 2019, 07:03:27 PM
Don't you guys find it annoying that ETH games are pretty much pay per use compared to other blockchains like EOS? I remembered Crypto Kitties was congested af with high gas fees and multiple failed transactions. It was a nightmare.

Low player base means there's no other way for them to recoup their costs than to make the game pay to play. If the cryptocurrencies used were more popular outside speculation, perhaps it would make sense (financially speaking) to develop games where paying was more optional as occasional 'whales' would be bringing in enough money.

1373  Local / Polski / Re: Czemu nie nagradzamy sie Meritami? on: October 23, 2019, 03:58:52 PM

1374  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-20] HTC Launches Exodus 1S, First Phone That Can Run a Full BTC Node on: October 23, 2019, 03:45:27 PM
It's easy to forget how much bandwidth full node Bitcoin needs too, which is a bad fit for mobile, depending on what your data plan is like.

I think whoever would decide to have a full node on a mobile phone would probably be using it only when connected to wifi. Really unlimited and affordable plans allowing for hundreds of gigabytes of bandwidth per month aren't very common.

1376  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A humble request to Yobit Officials! on: October 22, 2019, 01:55:52 PM
If you had a bot that copied all your posts from here to there, at a rate of whatever was the maximum per day, ... ... it's not plagiarism if you originally posted it here, then simply copied it there, is it? You'd have between 5000 to 7000 posts which is good for several months or years, ... as long as they kept paying.

Why not? Self-plagiarism is still plagiarism. They'd be flushing their money down the drain if they knowingly allowed people to do that. I imagine they eventually want to have an active forum of people not coming there to post just for the money.
1377  Local / Polski / Re: Ogólne rozmowy na temat kampanii sygnatur on: October 22, 2019, 12:41:44 PM

Update: limit from now is only 10 posts / day
1378  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 22, 2019, 11:28:11 AM
I don’t know, maybe it's just my guesses, but yesterday I had 150 losses in a row, the game crashed before reaching my profit and would have reach at 151 time, but my balance had already ended at that time. Now I’ve edited the strategy and in the morning (+5 GMT here) I have found out that some player is following me, though after some time he disappeared. I think that if two or more people earn according to one effective strategy, then most likely this will be monitored and the chance to earn decreases, although this is my guess.

With a >0% house edge there is no strategy that will guarantee that you will win, and it doesn't matter if there's another player trying to cash out just before the game busts as the bonus system has been removed if this is what you had in mind.
1379  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section on: October 21, 2019, 03:42:12 AM
Also, the managers review the post at the end of the week. I believe boss @Coolcryptovator, who is new in this space, would give the best impression about his ability at the "counting day."

Reviewing posts once a week doesn't cut it, campaign managers should be doing this every day, dozens of participants of a single signature campaign can post enough shitposts in a single week to be annoyingly noticeable.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 21, 2019, 01:16:21 AM
It's still somewhat risky and they are averse to risk. They may also be sufficiently invested the legacy financial system that anything too different, and not approved by people or entities they may hold in high regard will arouse their hostility. Not a problem per se, but it is a problem if they are involved in politics or work for financial regulatory government agencies, they can cause a lot of trouble for those of us who just want to live freely.
