2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 14, 2022, 11:08:53 AM
^^ For sure, the commissioner is not going to be happy with that. Yes players have freedom, but in this case, and if I'm not mistaken, this is a super max contract being given to KD and then after a few years and he still has like 2 years in his contract, he suddenly request a trade? It is close to being disrespectful to Brooklyn, after emptying their pockets not just for him but for Irving as well, he will suddenly ditch the Nets because it's not going his way? Yeah, for sure new rules are going to be set in by the NBA to address this kind of scenario.
2182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 14, 2022, 10:43:33 AM
There are too many rumors circulating but they were really vague as both camps and Showtime will try not to offend each other with the ongoing negotiations. So it's like we can only say that news is only reliable when it comes directly from Espinoza head of Showtime, Al Haymon of PBC, Ellerbe the manager of Spence, Spence himself, and Crawford himself. Stephen Espinoza of Showtime said this week that he is confident of a deal this month.
And if I'm not mistaken though, the news can only come out from the mouth of the reliable sources like you mentioned and they could include this in the contract itself. And if anyone break that, for sure the fight might got cancelled or if not, some monetary incentive of the parties that broke the agreement. And maybe this is the reason why it is so quiet that we don't hear anything from either of them because the negotiations are very secret that only a few people only knows what's going on behind. And all we hear are just noises and rumors.

2183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It looks like the bad guys have struck again on: July 14, 2022, 10:11:33 AM
The news is all over, from what I read, the token was sent to users, they're told to click on a link to claim the token, due to the excitement they obey the order and click so the malware can then get their details which maybe they submitted to claim the funds. These days, greed is the easiest means of taking people's funds on the ecosystem.
And they still haven't learnt their lessons though, as this is where the criminals are good at, exploiting people weaknesses like greed. And it's gonna be too late when they realized that the scammers have drained their wallet already.

And no matter what cycle we are, these criminals are going to strike so everyone just be careful on what links you gonna click or who you are going to trust in cryptoverse.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Tether instead of Bitcoin ? on: July 13, 2022, 11:31:01 PM
Why do people not promote Tether instead of Bitcoin?

Is it because there is no money to be made in Tether?

Isn't the whole idea of Bitcoin to have a decentralized network that is useful and fair?  Isn't that Tether?

1:1 seems fairer than 1:20,000 ...
Both have different purpose, of course, it's pretty obvious, tether is stable coins so you can't make money out of it because it is pegged 1:1 to USD, you can't even call your money investment on them.

But there are traders who uses Tether just to stop the bleeding on their money, i.e if bitcoin price is going down hard, maybe some of them will hedge to Tether, at least it is said as your bitcoin will have a 'steady valuation' despite the market crash.
2185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Opportunities - Forget "When Lambo" on: July 13, 2022, 11:11:25 PM
It involved mental toughness and that is why it is very difficult to hold. And the moment you started to withdraw some stash, then it will set a precedent and goes on and on until all of your bitcoin is gone.

So that is the challenge, easier said that done for the majority, and for sure there are people who always check their portfolio to see how much their investment gain (or lost). So very very hard for us. And with that, I lauded those that able to hold for so many years and not even sell a single sat.

It's very difficult to hold if you investing money that you can’t affor to lose. Many crypto traders put there life savings or most of there salary in crypto as an all-in investment even though they are aware of its volatility. This is why crypto investment such as Bitcoin is really frustrating whenever bear market occur like what happening now. But if we only put an extra money as crypto investment, We don't care what will happened on it in short term because we already accept the fate of our investment win or lose the moment we purchased Bitcoin.
That's why we also have this adage "Invest what you can afford to lose", so that there will be no pressure for you to sell during bear market because it is not advisable to do that.

And I wouldn't call it frustrating, he have seen and experience the last bear cycle already. So we should know what to do currently. Just stay relax and then do some DCA, it might help up go over this bear market and at the same time invest on it very slowly.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 13, 2022, 10:50:32 PM

Nietes is already 40 years old he should retire he has done a lot in Philippine boxing its time for him to enjoy his retirement, this is one of the times that no Pinoy boxing world champion, but still Pinoys are great boxers and will always contention to
any weight category I'm sure many new boxers will rise, its not the end of Pinoy boxing after Pacquiao retires, right now the Philippine's big ace is none other than Casimero, I hope he takes up the challenge to put another Pinoy boxing world champion again and takes his career seriously.

I think Casimero will rise more to fame but his arrogance is what he's proud of when he goes into that boxing ring. If we compare it to Nietes and Pacquiao that's totally the opposite. I think if Nietes lost this match, he'd be happily wants to retire with contention.
Casimero is still in the prime of his career, and he is the next best hope of Philippine boxing, his promoters should set him up for a title shot if the Inoue will not push through, its better for Casimero to make a bid in a higher weight category, he did mention that he is having a hard time losing weight, the biggest proof is his preparation for the Butler fight.

Casimero has fought and beaten some of the tough champions in his campaign like Tete, and he is always dangerous his promoters and his team should focus on motivating him to focus on his career.
The thing is, Casimero has to start from scratch, because he didn't lose his belt inside the ring, instead he can't make the weight for his fight. So his handlers might fight it hard for him if even the organization that he hold the belt, WBO will not give him a change to fight the champion.

So you can't blame if he can't get a decent fight the soonest because of bad decision this year. He can get a fight maybe next year but it will be to some unknown fighter first and then build his way up.
2187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: July 13, 2022, 12:07:18 PM
Look at Eth/Btc Chart. looks like it has found the bottom. i see a clear uptrend towards 0.08. In this case alts can be pumped too. so keep your eye on At Altcoins. This could bebthe start of a relief rally. but i dont think so that will be oump towards ATH. expecting just a relief rally only.
 Roll Eyes

which chart? this? https://coinmarketcap.com/ look at the altcoins , is this a sign of pumping again? after 2 days of small greening now back to bloody situation again?

no I don't think altcoin will ever make another pumping this soon or not even in the next coming months.
if there is some chances and that is in December that there might be a good movement but this assures nothing because everything may happen and may be opposite movement as what we expected now.
Lol, I guess for altcoins to pump, they have to wait for bitcoin first. But as we can see in the chart, in the last 2-3 days the price of bitcoin goes down from $21k to now just in the $19,800. So that is a big slash and so the market is on a downturn and then altcoins are not going to pump. On the contrary, this market will continue to suffer this year, so I'm not expecting any recovery soon. Maybe bitcoin will go on a sideways again and we will not see $30k this December.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 13, 2022, 11:26:30 AM
In less than two weeks we can see a crossroad fight between former world champions Adrien Broner and Omar Figueroa. This should be fun to watch as both were entertaining fighters before. AB with his funny antics and trash talks while Figgy's hot sister might attend the press conference, weigh-in, and the fight. This may not be for world title contention but I felt this fight as more alluring than the fake fights of Jake Paul and Mayweather Sr.'s exhibition fights.
Oh yeah, I remember Figueroa's sister stealing the limelight during one of his fights. Others thought that it was Omar's gf, but it turns out to be his hot sister.

As for AB, yeah, even if he wins here, I guess his career is really over, he no longer generates the hype, About Billions? nah, ever since he lost against the hard hitting Maidana, it was over for him. Just fighting for scrap now, another of those story that didn't end very well for boxers because of their attitude.
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 08:29:27 AM

First we should understand what really happen and why they are willing to let go of Ayton. Yes, he is a vital part of the offense and defense of the Suns, but it seems that Ayton doesn't have the mindset though, in the finals against the Bucks he was out hustle by Giannis and there was a critical play that he was block. And after that, the Suns didn't offer Ayton a max contract, first sign that he will not stay as Suns for long. And last season, we've seen how he got bench in Game 7 because they way Monty see it, Ayton quit on them. So it's just a matter of time before Ayton will be traded and this is the right time.

Might be the reason, an inside issue between Ayton and the coaching staff.

Now that they see that the relationship between him is no longer working well, it's the best time to send him to another team
who can provide good deals and fair trading value.

It's a matter of time now to what team he may land and who will be his replacement that Suns will bring to their squad,
the system is still there though it's just the player to adjust and work on int.
Right, and we really don't know who to play in this case, is the Suns management didn't value their rookie? or Ayton lacks the mentally that the Suns wanted from him and he didn't give that to them?

So this is the best solution, let go of Ayton and replacement him with a player, maybe trade with the Pacers or Portland or even the Nets for Durant.
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to invest Dot for long term? What are your thoughts about Polkadot? on: July 12, 2022, 11:39:57 AM
So I have been reading about this Polkadot para chain for the last couple of days. I can see this Polkadot is massively grown parachain and there is much more to come. Sp Dot price now is at a good point. So I want to know whether it is good to invest or DCA Dot? Or do I need to just wait till the breakout shows in Dot?
Not only DOT but everyone is suffering from this bear market. DOT barely in the top 10 right now, sitting at 12, so it's a sign that this coin is still very strong and could have a bright future.

So I would say why not? if you really believed on it's parachain and it could really grow massively in the next couple of years then invest on it while the price is still cheap in this bear market. Because once we are again in a bullrun, it could be X amount of returns for your investment.
2191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The number of hodlers on: July 12, 2022, 10:44:26 AM
Although the on-chain indicators point towards the worst-ever BTC bearish market, they also underscore the increasing resilence of hodlers.

The number of hodlers not selling ever under extreme market conditions has become higher than in previous bearish markets.
Of course, doesn't make sense for holders to sell just because the price is tanking and one of the worst bearish market.

We even have this report, Bitcoin Leaving Exchanges Hits An All-Time High. But it doesn't mean that the bitcoin leaving exchanges are being sold, maybe they just want to put in a safe wallet wherein they have total control over it.
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 11, 2022, 11:09:56 PM
What do you expect? He is under Top rank which is good at somewhat making their fighters good specially after a big lost. So I would agree that this is a cherry pick fight for Lopez entering a new territory at 140 lbs. So no more big fights for Haney or Davis at 135 lbs. Although we have seen Davis fight at this division already and winning a belt against a weak champion. Good for Lopez if he can win this fight and then call the other champion and established himself again.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 11, 2022, 10:37:17 PM
I believe Ioka has more world title fight experience than Nietes.
I don't know about this but I like to believe that Nietes would not lose in this fight if he is not old, at his age now, I think Ioka will bounce back and beat him. Losing a split decision means the fight is very competitive, so now Kazuto Ioka has the edge due to his age and he is more active than Nietes I think.

Yes. I also think that prime Nietes will beat a prime Ioka. Both are the same 4 division champions and are future Hall of Famers. They nearly have the same styles too. They're both smart, technical, patient, and armed with excellent jabs. I just believe that prime Nietes is just slightly better.

Back to reality. Ioka has a clear edge in this coming rematch. I don't think Nietes has the power to knockout Ioka and his age makes the mission becoming nearly impossible.

Knocking Ioka's is really a tough job since Nietes even in his prime is known for this kind of power punch, he beats his opponents with patience and good timings, with that statement of yours, I always say that Nietes is better in terms of prime era. But likewise, with his age and with crowd advantage of Ioka, it's more on mind games and how Nietes can stand until the last round and see if he will win with the judges' decisions.
Yes, Nietes is not known to have a knockout power, but he made it up with this brilliant fighting with being a technician and putting on a clinic in every fight during his prime.

But we will see if he still has it, of course by his age, he is no longer in his prime. But maybe he can still perform as expected and beat Ioka. It might be a slim chance, but with no Filipino champion right now, maybe that will motivate him to and give everything for his country.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2022, 09:37:23 PM
Wiseman looking good for the Warriors in summer league. He’s blocking shots, catching alley oops and creating and draining his own 3’s. He’s looking like he may fill a need for the Warriors next year if he can stay healthy. Scary that they won it all without their best prospect. They might be an even better team next year.
James Wiseman is pretty much showing the Warriors that they had done a good job on drafting him, we can see it on he played at the Summer League.
Recently, he suffered a knee injury but that doesn't stop his dreams as he managed to give some good positive results for the team, if this kid will get all the exposure and experience he needed, he will indeed be the next center of the Warriors and Green will have a less burden and will just take a full time role being a defensive player.
And with that performance, it's obvious that he has healed already. But we need him to see in the actual NBA games to say that the Warriors management did a good job on drafting him. Although they already have a history of having a keen eye on talents. But still, and I'm sure everyone is exciting to see him play with the Warriors uniform this season and if indeed the hype is true.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 08, 2022, 09:52:15 AM
Really? I thought Tete was still fighting in bantamweight, well if that's the case then Casimero should pray that his requests will be granted and if he will be granted, I hope that he won't waste that opportunity and make sure that his weight will catch-up this time. I bet that will be his last chance in the bantamweight because if he can't still address his issue then I guess it's time for him to move up.

I'm sure WBO will grant Casimero's request. There's no reason why it shouldn't be granted.
Maybe there are reasons that they will not grant him, not the first time that he was overweight in fight, second, he was given a second chance by the organization and yet Casimero take that for granted. WBO will look like a fool if they allow him again, just saying.

But this time, Casimero needs to show some valid reasons that he is fit for the fight. Imagine he is having weight problems for 2 consecutive matches and that is not a good impression. He won't stand a chance against Naoya Inoue if he is struggling to catch up with the required weight.

All he can do is trash talk and that's where he wins lol if he don't do something about his weight problems.
Just go on the next weight, no need for him to stay as he body can't squeeze to that limit and this might be one reason that he will lose in his next fight if he insist on the bantamweight. It might be dangerous for him if he go again.

I'm also seeing the same scenario and that is WBO won't give him that request he wants because they are done on giving that same chance and Casimero just wasted his opportunity. The WBO will just go silent for a few days so that they will look like they are reviewing his request but I highly think that it won't be approved too.

His only chance is to move in super-bantamweight or featherweight and try to be the champion in that division so that Inoue will be the one who will look for him when the latter decides to move up soon.
Thanks, at least someone has agree to me,  Smiley

Yeah, I think it's obvious that Casimero has been treated very well by the WBO, they given him the second chance, most boxer don't. Once they failed the weight or for some medical reasons, can't make it to the fight, there chances are gone.

So Casimero is on the crossroads, mis judgement on his end, so he has to pay for it. No more fight for the belt, he has to start all over. Or move to super-bantamweight so that he will not have the problem of not able to make the desired weight for bantam.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 08, 2022, 09:06:27 AM
it is 72% against 27% favoring Donnie Nietes 11 .

I assume that even in His older age still People are aiming and trusting Him to win this fight?

but the sad part here is if that he losses this one , maybe he will also retire like the 2 famous Filipino Boxer that face defeat and decide for retirement.

Retiring is going to be an option for Nietes IF he losses, which I don't thin he will. If you take a look at his last fight against Reveco last year, he's still looking sharp and mixes his punch very well. Nietes is a smart boxer and an underrated one. He fought Ioka once and that gave him the edge to win the fight, and that explains the odds as well.
And that also explains why people/bettors are trusting him 100%. Being strong and smart at the same time is a formidable force.
For the records as well, he's the longest reigning Filipino world champ boxer.

True! He won't be the longest-reigning Filipino world champion if he's not that good, he's just underrated because back in his prime, Pacquiao and Donaire are more known than him. He may be aging but his experience and IQ in the ring will speak for him in the ring, particularly this time that he had already faced Ioka few years back and I also don't think that Ioka will have the advantage in this upcoming fight.
If we do look on Donnie Nietes stats.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/215599

43-1-6

Out of 43 wins it does have 23 KO's.Yes, he might lack in power but sustaining on having 1 loss out of 43 wins then this is something
that cant really be ignored. Its true that he might that not getting too much attention because of pacquiao and donaire
but this guy is already 40 which retirement would really be next in line whether he do win or loss this one.

He is actually a decent boxer with 23 knockout results over 43 wins, his only loss came from a boxer named Angky Angkotta way back in 2004 in Jakarta but that was not a bad loss either because it was a split-decision. After that, he never tasted loss again and surely that loss made him a far better boxer than he is in the year 2004. He is good but his timing was unfortunate because Donaire and Pacquiao were also reigning at the industry that time.
I guess for Filipino boxing fans his name is quiet familiar. But for casual fans, it will still be Manny Pacquiao and then Donaire. And that time, there are a lot of PH champions, who will forget Hawaiian Punch Brian Villoria?

And in that lost, Angky was over the limit, so it's not a fair fight.

Anyhow, his names should have been cemented in Filipino boxing already, and so with the other great boxers of his generation. And this winning this fight will be something extra for the great Nietes.
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 08, 2022, 08:30:04 AM
There is a rumor that Pacers are interested on the services of DeAndre Ayton. They are negotiating a sign and trade centered on Miles Turner.

However, we have heard that Phoenix is also interested on KD. If they push this one, they might be erasing their chances to land the KD sweepstakes. Or it might take more players from them, maybe they will have to include Booker now or Crowder and Bridges.
Now, speaking of KD, I've seen a proposed trade on Facebook (NBA Buzz) between the Timberwolves and the Nets.

The Nets wanted KAT, Edwards and 4 first round picks in exchange for Durant. Well, the Timberwolves declined on it and I think it is a good choice knowing that KAT and Edwards are still young and talented as well. The Wolves' management don't want to give these young players to KD.
It seems that Timberwolves have already settle down with the Gobert acquisition. There's no way that they are willing to trade KAT and Edwards because nothing will be left on their team.

With regard to KD going to Phoenix, I don't know what will the Nets try to get in exchange for him but just basing on what the Nets asked with the Timberwolves, there is a chance that they might try to get Booker and/or Ayton and some first round picks in exchange for KD.
Nets might be willing but it should include good players in the side of the Suns. Ayton's name has been there and so is Bridges, but not sure if the Suns is willing to include one more just to get KD. Maybe only CP3 is the untouchable one in their roster regarding trade.
2198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 08, 2022, 08:05:04 AM
Yes, the difference in their height is of course visually very noticeable, I don't think it plays a decisive role, but of course the impressive difference is probably also the operator tried to choose an angle to emphasize how much Magsayo is lower than Vargas.
Not just the height, reach difference too.
70 and a half for Vargas while 68 for Magsayo.
There's a reason why Vargas will keep on running in this fight and that's to maximize the advantage of his reach. Just put in a lot of jabs and try to win a decision.
Magsayo on the other hand should come up with a strategy that will make this fight as close as he can. That's where he will get his KO punch. Let Vargas do his norm of running until he exhausts himself.
Looks like that will be their game plan, jab jab and to bust Magsayo, that is if he can land and that is jab is so stiff and that it will put a dent on Magsayo's face.

And he has to throw it like going down, so it will take a lot of effort instead of like horizontal punch. I think Magsayo will become the aggressor and target the body because Vargas is so tall. He has all the blue print on how to beat a taller guy, just watch Manny destroys Chris Algieri or even Antonio Margarito.
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin price important? on: July 08, 2022, 07:24:30 AM
alot of posts seem to be focused on the price of bitcoin. i understand why because they are wanting to sell it for a profit but is that the purpose of bitcoin or was there some other purpose for it? i thought it was originally designed to just be a way to transfer digital cash in a decentralized manner but it seems like people don't really care about that part of it and all they care about is what its price is. seems they got the wrong idea of bitcoin.
True it was designed to be a P2P payment system, we can't deny that as it was written by Satoshi in the whitepaper. But you have to understand that even in the beginning, it started to have a value and then early bitcoin enthusiast have crypto exchanges, and with that it has change everything.

thing is, for alot of people it seems like when bitcoin price is "high" they think that means it is succeeding more than when it is "low". but if we think about bitcoin's intended purpose, it doesn't matter what the price is as long as bitcoin can be transferred peer to peer without any centralized party being involved. so if bitcoin was worth $1 people shouldn't complain.
You can used it to whatever purposed, but I will say that it has not become an asset. And I doubt that it will go to $1.00 argument of yours. You really have to look at the early history of bitcoin to understand it's progress.

I guess some of us here at one time, have been downloading knowing and unknowingly softwares that has malware in it. I will admit that before I used to do that, but it was long ago, prior to joining to crypto.

Yeah, even if you run it on Virtual or Sand box, malware like this has the capability to detect the environment. As per the article:

Quote
The first thing it does when it’s executed is to perform some environment checks. This is to detect if the malware is being analyzed in a sandbox. The code that performs the checks comes from an open-source project hosted on GitHub called Chacal. Figure 1 shows a screenshot of the project’s readme file. The framework is marketing itself for Red Teams and pen-testers. It provides anti-debugging, anti-memory analysis, and anti-VM functionality.
