1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: April 19, 2023, 10:10:29 AM
I'm not surprised though, SEC has been on the offensive lately and even after Coinbase and other exchanges.

It's that they are stepping it right now and it looks like they are hiding on the notion that they want to protect their consumers. Nevertheless, not the first time that we will hear this kind of statement from them, the question is who is next?

As far as holding Algorand, hard to say right now, but it's better if the OP can wait a bit before deciding to sell it off.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 19, 2023, 09:36:55 AM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?

I know most people will favor certain Sport, because they know more about the players or the teams and information is power, when it comes to betting... but some Sport are 50/50 when it comes to the outcome of the match. (One lucky punch or kick can make a underdog a champion)

Please share your thoughts...  Tongue
It's true, but I guess the chances of you winning is huge as compare to luck based games like slots and others. And if by chance that the outcome didn't favor you because the under wins, then there's nothing you can do about it.

Even at 1.01 you are not sure that you are going to win, but there are bettors willing to put huge money, millions but we have one thread that even at that odds he didn't win. And it's more entertaining to bet on games, and you are in the edge of the sit praying that you are going to win your bets.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 19, 2023, 09:09:24 AM
After finally breaking $30k, I thought bitcoin correction happens. But so far it only touched again the $29k mark and is now back again at $30k. I believe bitcoin will now slow down a bit, maybe it will end at $31k at the end of this month. But since it is now over the $30k mark, I am calling April bullish although not that much.

I might have to wait until next month and see if there are lower dips for my DCA this month. Maybe $28k is doable in the next few weeks to come.
Yeah, quite surprised to see the price touching $29k again, I thought yesterday that we are going to make a run because the price did bounce back to $30,200++. I'm not sure what news really bring the price to this level again, but in any case, it's anothe opportunity to accumulate again.

And this is just to validate that we can go on parabolic rise, so at some point, we need to have corrections.

But this looks like a healthy one so that others can enter the market again when the price goes to $28k or below it. $28k might be the next support, if it is broken we are still good at $25k.

I hope Morant is okay with the Game 1 loss.

He said he's fine in the West, LOL. However, what will happen if the Lakers sweep Memphis? I think there's a possibility, as the Lakers have an advantage over Memphis with their bigs who can dominate the paint. Meanwhile, Memphis mostly relies on Morant, and I'm sure the Lakers have found a strategy to limit him.

What do you think will be the outcome of Game 2?
Yes, it's a big possibility if only Ja Morant is not going to play in this series. So hopefully he can come back in the next game. So it's going to be a game decision for the Memphis management to allow him to play and not go on 0-2 against the Lakers and then going in their home court next.

For the Phoenix, it was really a good win, they control the second half and it's enough for them to tie the series.
Booker is unstoppable, left or right he can score and that jumpshot is flawless. Playoff Durant showing his form too and then Paul had that crucial jumpshot on top with 3 minutes to stop the rally of Clippers.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 19, 2023, 04:19:19 AM
Chris Paul has lost his last 14 games when Scott Foster was the referee. Will tonight be the night he breaks that streak? With the Suns down 0-1 in the series, they certainly need it. As ridiculous as Scott Foster’s hate for Chris Paul is, I’m not sure I’d go against it. I’m honestly not sure how Scott Foster still has a job at this point…
And it seems that the jinx of Scott Foster against Chris Paul is over as the Suns is leading the Clippers in the last 5 minutes of the game. Unless something ugly happens wherein Kahwi and Westbrook made a huge comeback and the Suns Booker and Durant can't score.

So let's see, very interesting to see this stats being broken now by Chris Paul.

And if they win, then 1-1 going to Clippers home court next.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 18, 2023, 04:52:11 PM
Gamble for fun only, using small money that you aren't needing, and think about losing that money first, to make sure that you won't be needing the money if it's gone.

Take a break.

Play for fun.

Don't chase your losses.

Stick to your Limits.

Gamble Responsibly.
This is all true, but it's hard to follow it to the tee, I mean at some point in our gambling activity we all be addicted to it, lose big money but still, go and play even if we borrow or make a loan.

And we can only stop it if we can start it from inside, from ourselves and really understand the negative effects of gambling. We can still continue to gamble though, and uses the tips you put without getting ourselves like paranoid because we are addicted to it that our lives are affected. So yeah, it might be hard to gamble responsibly, but we can try and make a middle ground, just saying.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 18, 2023, 02:48:12 PM
If this boxer, Nghitumbwa, comes to fight, then we will certainly see an entertaining bout.
Alternatively, we might see an upset if he truly possesses the legitimate power to defeat a former champion. It's a big challenge for him since people are underestimating him, and boxers like him have nothing to lose. However, if he is truly determined to win, that's when we may witness an upset. Who knows, he might even get an easy ticket to a championship fight by defeating Casimero.
I don't know, but if Nghitumbwa is really a knockout artist base on his records, then he should really go and fight Casimero in the middle of the ring and see if he can knockout Casimero or if he is the one going to be knockout.

We don't want boxers like Casimero's last fight, that once he felt the power of Casimero, he made all excuses in the book to just take a dive on this fight. Hopefully Nghitumbwa is not that kind of boxer. Although he might feel the power, he will still go and fight Casimero hard so that we can see a entertaining fight and fans getting their money's worth.
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A service to find the relation between two addresses on: April 18, 2023, 02:33:34 PM
There's Reactor[1] from ChainAlysis but that's not available to the public, and it's way too complicated. Is it what you're trying to build? Would one be able to find the connection even if the funds moved through exchanges, services, mixers, etc. as is the case with this tool?

[1] https://www.chainalysis.com/chainalysis-reactor/

Once coins are sent to exchanges, they become disconnected from each other unless there is access to the exchange log. I don't see a solution to this problem ATM.

However, this service(which we already has coded part of it) aims to identify the relationship between two addresses or transaction IDs, and is going to target coins moved through mixers and similar services.
Again, it's the question on how you can find the relationships between two addresses?

If someone uses a mixer then everything is obfuscated, that's how mixer is design, so it will be interesting, if you have coded a way to find the connection between input and output addresses.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 18, 2023, 02:16:55 PM
Everyone knows the Warriors played their worst road game this season, which may be the reason they are 0-2 in this series. However, they still have game 3 and 4 to even the series, which is vital, and I believe they can win since they are extremely good at home. Game 5 or 7 is the most important, as the Kings have home court advantage. For the Warriors to defeat the Kings in the first round, they need to win at least one on the road, provided they win all their home games.

Spread are out in game 3, Warriors are -7? I think Warriors should be the easy bet here.
Coming out victorious in all the homes games might be what just the warriors needs, their ultimate goal is knock out top competitor from the serials. Warriors didn't have a good time this season, they currently did poor in games, but there's one specific quality I'm acquainted with, they always bounced back stronger. Home advantage is a strong priority for Kings, they shouldn't underestimate warriors. Winning Kings is not big deal, lucky enough they will sealed a win through the serials and face top competitors.
And probably that's why they are still not in the panic mode, even though down 0-2 they know that they can have the momentum once they are back in their homecourt. And as the record shows, they are good at home so I wouldn't be surprised with that opening line against the Kings in game 3. This will be a big test for the Kings, against one of the best home court team and see if they can steal one. As for the Sixers vs Nets, this is the best time as well for the Nets to get one game and not to be swept by the Sixers.
1190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people are having bitcoin? on: April 17, 2023, 11:12:27 AM
The reason for this post is to know all the were about of the bitcoin in circulation. I read a story of a man threw away is hard drive with almost 7,500 bitcoin on it, then later realised that it worth huge amount of money which he is trying to get back the drive which he found difficult. Now my question is that does it mean all this 7,500 bitcoin are gone completely?
Yes, all his bitcoin is gone.

Can it be possible to know the people the are in position of all the bitcoin in circulation or know the number of units in total circulation?
You can go to coinmarketcap and see how many bitcoins are in circulation, in the "Circulating Supply" column.
But if your question is about lost bitcoins, we don't know the exact number. Estimating varying from 3-4 million have said to be lost.
1191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 17, 2023, 10:56:18 AM
Currently, the price is not sustainable, yeah feels good to breach it, but the best feeling is that we remain on that price. However, after hitting $31k, the price goes on a retracement, as it is fluctuating around $29k-$30k.

That's why we shouldn't be enjoying, it's better if we see $30k as support and not the resistance. So it might take some time before we can sustain this price, the good thing is that the market seems to be bullish state so most likely $30k will be sustainable price this month.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 17, 2023, 10:21:33 AM
What a round 1 in the West today. 3 Underdog teams WON against the top teams with a huge margin, except for the Clippers who won very closely with that incredible play by WB, clutch block and a save to secure the possession and a 3 pt lead which put the Clippers into a comfortable position to win the game.
Jimmy just toast the Giannis-less Bucks together with the whole Heat squad. While the Lakers put on a team effort to take a 15-0 run late in the 4th to secure the W in game 1. Not to mention, Rui and Reaves' incredible performances. Now, the Memphis are really in trouble as Morant's status in game 2 is questionable. IMO, if they lose 0-2 with their homecourt, the Memphis will either get swept or absolutely gonna lose the series, there will be no coming back for them based on the performances we've seen in game 1 for the both teams.
Yes, but as you have said, both team doesn't have their superstars in Giannis and Ja Morant. So Heat and Lakers take advantage of that. It will be a shame if the teams lost to those without their superstars in the lineup.

And with this win, it makes this first round very exciting. Also in the Suns vs Clippers we still have WB vs Durant and then maybe him and Booker as well as too are both trash talkers. It's just 1 game though, a lot can still happen, at least there will be no sweep in their series.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 17, 2023, 09:51:38 AM
Zhilei Zhang is an Olympic medalist and his name made waves when he turned pro which is unusual for Chinese boxers. But when he continued to face bum after bum, wasting the prime years of his body, I thought he is just another prospect that did not even try to face top-ranked fighters for a chance to become a world champion. Things changed when he gave Filip Hrgovic all he could handle last year in a very close fight. Although I believe Hrgovic just had an off-night performance, it was his first fight since the death of his father. I always believe that Filip is above all these fighters (except Usyk and Fury) for years and his title shot is long overdue, thanks to his promoter Eddie Hearn (the same promoter of former WBA, IBF, and WBO champ Anthony Joshua) who continued giving him nonsense fights probably to stay him away from becoming mandatory to AJ.

So with that previous solid performance by Zhang, I doubt the Juggernaut cherry-picked him. I always have doubts about Joyce, he is too slow. But Joyce did pass with flying colors when he annihilated the arrogant Daniel Dubois and that unexpected stoppage over former champion Joseph Parker. Joyce picking Zhang was like measuring himself about how good he is compared to Filip Hrgovic (IBF mandatory) and his readiness for the possible WBO mandatory against Usyk.

Still, it was a big upset after Joyce's previous solid wins over Dubois (WBA mandatory) and Parker. As for Zhang, he is heavy-handed with quick hands and a very tough chin but mobile fighters like Usyk and Fury should be able to box him in circles and maybe stop him in the late rounds.
Yes, everyone consider this as big upset, no one knows that the Chinese will give Joyce all he can handle. And I guess the hype of Joyce is not broken, probably just another boxer in the shadow of Fury and Joshua as far as British boxing is concern.

Of course, slow and plodded Heavyweight fighters will have a hard time in the likes of Usyk and Fury who can box and move and is very technical. All Zhang can offer is his tough chin and a southpaw. But it can be offset by fighters who are really good boxing IQ.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 17, 2023, 09:15:28 AM
I think majority of us lay down on the Bucks winning against the Heat on game 1, in the regular season, even without Giannis, they found a way to win. But this is playoff series so it's going to be very different, I expect more from Holiday though, but he was really guarded very well in this game.

And the Clippers on cloud 9 after winning game 1 and Westbrook taking the highlight with his good defense on Booker.

So for sure many bettors (including myself), lost on this 2 games.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 15, 2023, 02:02:37 AM
The thing here is, if Fulton could destroy the career of Inoue, that would make him popular. Imagine if Inoue asks for a rematch in case he loses in his first attempt, and then Fulton beats him again, that would send Inoue back to bantamweight for sure, and his confidence will surely be affected.

So, this is a big fight for both fighters, especially for Fulton, because he is the underdog here, which means only a few believe he could win despite being the champion.

I'm pretty sure Inoue has completely trained intensively just for this fight because he knows from other fighters in the past how hard it is to fight when you first time increase your weight. Fulton on the other hand need to train some unique techniques to counter Inoue's speed and power because if he doesn't practice to dodge those deadly punch, he will more likely be knockout in the early rounds unless he can take the punch and we know that some fighters can really take punches from those we thought are powerful punchers, it happens a lot before especially in this weight division.
And his hand injuries could be the result of his hard training against Fulton. Although he could have that injury already, but might be aggravated in training and that's why he has to postponed the fight till June.

There is no report of surgery or operation though, so it might be that Inoue needs to take care of that hands and rest for a while so no training for him. As for the weight, yes, I do agree there not much issue he could even weigh less than the required limit of 122 lbs in this fight.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 15, 2023, 01:27:42 AM

But yes, just like you mate, we as the avid fans of boxing are hopeful that he already left his old version where he was too vulnerable. Other than that, it's good that a fight like this happened where we can witness two KO specialist sharing a ring because these days, it's almost already rare seeing this type of fight.

He needs to change that strategy if he will continue being predictable with fewer footworks and just trying to land a solid punches,
it will be hard for him knowing Davis is a smart and also a KO specialist.

He needs to move more and try to dance with whatever the music Davis will direct the tempo of the fight, hoping to see the adjustment from him here.

Both are good at throwing solid combinations and with that capabilities we are expecting a KO outcome whoever wins the fight.
And Ryan Garcia should improve his defense because most of his fights are only showcasing how good his punch is but his defense is not that tight as he always leaves his jaw open. That's why Campbell was able to land a good punch on him that almost flip the fight.

But in this instance, we might see a fight that is more on defense rather than throwing volumes even if it's a solid combinations because both camps cannot afford to make mistakes here as that's a risky on their side because the more you throw a punch, the more chances your opponent to give a counter punch which we know that both of their punches are quite lethal.

That's one weak spot of Ryan, he doesn't have a good defense, heck he doesn't even have movement in his feet. All he do what chase his opponent, and tuck his chin with this shoulder roll. But when that chin is exposed for sure Davis might touch that, similar on how Luke Campbell got him in their fight.

So he really needs to work that one out, at least some movement, left and right, otherwise Tank might time him coming inside and put that one punch that will knock him out for good. And it's just about a week, everyone is really hype and excited about and for sure majority have put their bets already.
I recently listen to Ryan Garcia's trainer, Goosen and not sure if they are going to look for more movements. He didn't gave specifics details about their strategy, but I'm hinting that they are training for Ryan to be really swift and fast and powerful in this fight.

So this could be one of their strategies to caught Davis with Ryan fast hand and vicious left hook. He has the height and reach advantage, so for sure he is going to take advantage of it.
1197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto as "payment" method adaptable for non tech-savvy people? on: April 14, 2023, 11:21:19 AM
There are a lot of mobile cash app in the market and if I'm not mistaken, each country has it's own mobile cash app. And with that it's very easy to transact with you cash and this could be the case for bitcoin as well. Of course there is a learning curve, but if know how to used a mobile phone and then this apps then obviously you can only used it with a bitcoin wallet.

And I guess with pandemic, everyone is online now, so I guess children or elderly knows to transfer and how to received money in fiat. And if they can do it with fiat, then they can transition to a bitcoin wallet anytime.
1198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Miami 2023 Price Prediction on: April 14, 2023, 10:40:17 AM
Okay, who thinks they can guess the closest price of BTC at the time of the conference this year in nearly one month in Miami?!

I am going, and I can't wait!!!! So pumped haha. Last year it was amazing and the same as the year before! Last year BTC was clocking in at around 45k if I remember correctly.

Now leading into the conference we are looking very bullish and I think we may have a chance to get to where we were at the 45k mark like we were last year, do you agree?

Does anyone know of any special events happening at the conference this year? Last year they had the sound money fest as well, is there going to be another concert again like last year as well?

For the record we have this Meetups board, wherein everyone can post conferences like this.

That is a bold prediction though if we will go directly to $45k. I'm seeing that we might see a correction first before we can get to $40k++. The correction might not deep though, most likely where the price is when we suddenly have this spike in the price, around $26k-$28k, just saying.

But then again, it's hard to predict the price movement but it might be far stretch to see $45k next month.

1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 14, 2023, 08:00:38 AM
Despite the disadvantage, I still look forward Loma to winning the match.  Who knows we might see the best of Lomachenco in this fight.

Who knows, maybe most people are mistaken about the advantage they see in Haney for this fight. Loma has been a warrior and has never lost a fight where he was clearly dominated. He's here to prove that, despite his age, he's not out of his prime yet and still has what it takes to win.

So Loma being an underdog in this fight should be seen as an opportunity as we might not be able to see this kind of odds again.
Based on his last performance, we might say that he is out of his prime already. But he is a great fighter, so maybe he still have something, maybe he can go back and bring his former self and win against a young fighter and the champion in Haney, so yeah we will see.

What separates Loma though from the rest of the boxers is his training method which is very different from the trainings that we used to know. And most likely the reason why he has able to stay on up. Just one blemish is that his lost to Lopez (although he has earlier lost to Salido), but we know that he was injured that time. So we still can't discount that he is still that great, he just needed a opponent that will bring the best out of him.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 14, 2023, 07:29:12 AM
LMAO at that vote on Kessler, and it's too bad that Paolo didn't get the unanimous vote, but I guess there will be one voters who are going against you. And for sure Banchero will have that in mind, I haven't heard that reporter or Andy Larsen, but it seems that he is really recognized by obviously he is biased on voting on his guy for the Rookie of the Year. The Wiggins news is really big for the Warriors, he needed his contributions scoring wise and defense too. I remember last playoff when they are match against the Dallas team, he was the one who contained Luka all throughout that series.
