221  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Fake Paypal CEO Giveaway on: November 24, 2020, 09:20:40 PM
Youtube is literally the worst. Apart from running these obvious scams for hours after being reported, they also allow them to buy AD space to divert traffic to them. It's a shame they don't have any  sort of rapid response for prevention of these low effort scams.
222  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 24, 2020, 02:47:40 PM
Ey guys..  Just tried the site out with some bets at surfing and I was wondering why the limits on some lines are limited to 1 or 2 USD.  I tried betting on Kelly Slater at 26 and it doesn't allow me to bet anything above 2 USD and the Yago Dora line at 67..  it won't allow me to bet .50 cents.

Are these really hard limits?

Thanks.
Their limits are dynamic. I'll send along a message for them to look into your account to try and get your limits increased. Some times it's account dependant but usually it's tied more to the matches themselves, possibly combined with the age of the account.

Don't have all the details yet. If you want to shoot me a PM with your username or ID hopefully we can help you out.
223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 prize pool minimum on: November 23, 2020, 08:25:47 AM
It just comes down to having consistent numbers. I can only make so many games with irl scheduling between work and family. It does seem we've lost a few people but I was hoping it would continue to pick up. If we do increase the number of people at the table can we compromise and go 8-max. If today had hit 10 or 12 players it would have been a much more enjoyable game for sure, because no one wants to start and have to play their tournament for a significant amount of time 3 or 4 handed unless you are a spins player. Then you are a kid in a candy store.

Game 1 was the best gameflow I've seen from one of our series tournaments in a long time. Early series people weren't playing so tight, and/or slow and the games were wrapping up in 3 hours maybe 3.5, after a while and not because of a larger field these games began to push 4 hours+. If we do go 9 handed or even 8 then I totally support the significantly reduced timebanks for the sake of gameflow.

Noting I don't mind tournaments that run 4+ hours if there is a field that warrants it 30+.

Congrats to everyone in the points and those who finished itm.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hashrate and Difficulty Adjustment on: November 23, 2020, 05:08:15 AM
Here is a thread I wrote a while ago that covers more the mining side of things and helps people figure out if mining is for them. Most of these statistics don't mean anything to the general BTC public, apart from th eodd long block contributing to network congestion.
First time/Small miner reference for getting started.

To answer some of your questions

Basics
- Each block was designed to be mined every 10 minutes [Block Time].   On average
- New computers that can perform calculations faster [Hash Rate] can mine new bitcoin faster. Not new computers. We are way beyond that they are Asic chip machines mining BTC
- Mining difficulty is adjusted every 2,016 blocks to bring back the block time to normal [10 minutes]. The increase or decrease is proportional to how far off the average time of 10 minutes/block is
- The 2016 blocks are expected to be mined in two weeks [calculated using 1 block per 10 minutes].

Quote
Please note that there are times when the total hashrate drops since some miners may decide to turn off their machines at any point in time. As a result, mining for each block could be longer than 10 mins and the difficulty will be reduced for the same reason when another 2016 blocks are mined after the last adjustment. The drop could encourage miners to turn on their machine and join the mining business again and we can expect hash rate to increase should that happen.
There is rarely an event like this. Hashrate is so large at the moment it would take a catastrophic event to impact it with any large significance. Every year there is a bit of a swing around rainy season chinese miners turning on and off gear as the season comes to pass, even this doesn't really affect thing.
Quote
I don't understand what the "Difficulty Epoch" and "Block Time, Diff. Epoch" are for.

Other points
- There are some people who associate drop in hash rate to drop in btc price and vice versa but that's still speculation.
- The increase [decrease] in hash rates and mining difficulty is directly related to the network fees you pay. The faster the mining, the faster the mempool is cleared. Meaning transactions are mined faster [higher fees first] which allows txs with lower fees to be added on the next block sooner.
Consider the difficulty epoch to be a "period" of difficulty. So one of the 2016 block timeframes that make up a diff adjustment. The other one not sure. The points are somewhat accurate but also misleading. If there is a prolonged downturn in BTC price, clearly there will be some Farms that can't cover costs and pay the bills. This tends to balance out though as a decrease in hashrate means an increase in mining rewards.
The second one on fees , not so much. You would need to see a very large network hashrate drop to significantly impact day to day transactions. Now if it coincides with a higher than normal level of network transaction such as price swings or holidays then yes it will affect fees. No more than people FOMO'ing there transactions. I'll note here you still can choose lower fees it will just take longer to confirm.

I personally prefer the below site for monitoring network difficulty

Damn, wish I could have made it in. Unfortunately this was a week I am working nights, and on top of it had to replace some broken faucet cartridges so no chance. Good luck to everyone who played and hopefully see you all next week.

This is complete nonsense. A license in Curacao does not give you the right to accept unlicensed customers in a given country. Not only that, but the parties are obliged to blacklist unlicensed sites.
so I'm interested in how you define banned countries. for example, in some countries the authorities even arrest people playing on such sites
No that's exactly what a license covers, the ability to operate and provide the service. Customers are responsible for knowing their own local laws and acting accordingly. The list of banned countries is what comes with the gaming license and are terms Betnomi adopts as part of the licensing agreement. So it's not for Betnomi to decide which of those countries are banned under their TOC, but they can add to the list if they so choose.

Simply google top gaming license and you will see that this is the most popular license to hold at the moment.

Have to disagree, I see him on week 99 on the line 59 of the spreadsheet.
Quote
Habbear was removed for Negative trust, and then they applied with their ALT
Habbear received the last payment on 2019-01-13; whereas the application from Myfe was done on the November 25, 2018. Besides, considering the on this payment a couple of posts above the application the 3GemtDLiuUDGKXqPxckP1gZrsroCHTZdMs address is already being used by Habbear, I think it's pretty safe to asume that he tried to enroll simultaneously.
Were there payments in between. It's kinda coming back to me but like I said he was removed for negative trust. It then makes sense that he got reinstated when you look at the trust for Habbear there are neutrals that replace previous negatives.

Here is a post that shows the wheels in motion prior to the Myfe application. I believe after a few weeks Habbear was reinstated to the campaign once the feedback was cleared.

All I'm saying is that there doesn't seem to be an overlap of the accounts participating and applying at the same time. Could be reasonable that they bough the account thinking their main was going to become trash, but no proof it changed hands, and wasn't theirs all along.

Edit: They were removed for one week.  no payment #79, off sheet #80 and were back on the spreadsheet week 81

Post surrounding their leave, so funny

Also wonder if you accept bets placed from Thailand. I am a Norwegian currently living in Thailand
Hi on the homepage you can review the list of prohibited countries under the Terms and Agreements.
Simply scroll to the bottom of the page for some light reading. Short answer though is that Thailand is not on the list. Good luck.

I was in the same boat as you, and bit the bullet today. Fiat only but the Black Friday deal is pretty decent for a Switch bundle with Mariokart 8 deluxe. Best buy I think has it on right now as of Midnight.

Ebay had some pretty decent offerings of games in the US, I almost grabbed some but the import fees killed any real deal I was getting.

lulz had fun. F'd up the one I really shouldn't have ever F'd up, and several others in my attempt to blast off answers rapidly. Almost cost me a few more questions as I went along.

Totally Agree with 21 being slightly misleading. I won't post names/answers so others can find it themselves.

Thanks again for the small entertaining timewaster.

I went back and looked just for the Chipmixer connection. Habbear was removed in round 79 which would be 104 weeks ago. What I think happened was Habbear was removed for Negative trust, and then they applied with their ALT. I have no idea beyond that about that about any connections but it's reasonable that both accounts are controlled by the same person. Now I don't know if they were always the same person or not, but below the application you can see jackg say "good to see you back if that is you"
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker network now gives '95% of payouts’ in Bitcoin on: November 21, 2020, 07:34:52 AM
It's no surprise that this news comes from WPN, that's one of the biggest draws for playing poker on their network- Crypto deposits and withdrawals. I'm sure that's part of the reason they are so big and can offer a superb schedule.

The funny ting is though what people will be doing is pulling out a portion of their bankroll in hopes of gaining a few% while the price is rising. I imagine it all funnels back in once we start to see a dip. For some it will be like binking a tournament by simply withdrawing and redepositing.

Lots? Wow.
Should have tried to hold onto more lol. I'm sure Nagy is making out just fine.

Well, Steamtyme, I congratulate you on your appointment and suggest not to waste time and start working (I'll start with a suggestion to improve the interface / user usability)
Thanks.

It's funny that was something I had mentioned before as well. I'll definitely follow up with them in regards to that. I imagine the current setup is to try and ensure they hit the minimum number of players for some of those larger buy-in tournaments while also giving smaller stakes players a shot. I have some thoughts on a happy compromise in the meantime I'm going to suggest, and we'll see what happens.

a few days ago I tried to withdraw litecoin.
however, it seems like my litecoin wallet address was not supported atm.
if it's possible, a warning message would be helpful for this kind of situation.
Did you get any sort of message? I had this happen somewhere else once and was left thoroughly confused. Thanks for the suggestion
236  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 18, 2020, 09:05:13 PM
Actually that is incorrect because I have countless messages from him stating to talk to the staff get them to do this and do that but he is not paying any of them he has pushed off making contracts for anyone which was discussed months ago in September. All he does is say soon. Which never comes. You should see how he has no problem bossing and taking advantage of people which he doesn't even pay but expects them to follow through with what he wants anyways.

If you saw all the things he told me to tell clients and "staff" a like which haven't been followed through at all with, you would understand. I totally get where you are coming from as you only have x information to go on and he is paying you to be a supporter of the site so of course you will say what he wants you to. Its politics and a pay cheque for you right?
A contract can be set out in many ways, at a minimum someone "working" should confirm a start date, compensation, duration or renewal of required duties. Beyond that any dispute is for that individual to bring up with their employer. In the same way that I would contact them or my irl employer if something is wrong on my end. I've worked with all sorts, and just like anyone else I can and have left places of work due to management/supervision. This is something you or anyone working for them can/could do. The same goes for feeling mistreated. I wrote my response and posted without approval, I simply requested information to provide a response. All my posts unless otherwise stated are me, and not some script I am handed.

Again these are all in-house employment issues, unfortunate to discuss in front of clients, but necessary to clear this up.

You will find I'm not paid to defend or support the site. My compensation is for supporting the customers new and returning, while handling on forum issues. My "politics" are not up for sale. I have been blunt and honest with Betnomi since I first contacted them about their responses on forum, and in issues I have had playing/using the software as well as what I thought was best in this case. I have a solid reputation for sticking to my moral code, and acting in a fashion that is consistent honest and reliable, that will not change.

Again Best of luck with your future endeavors.

Continuing this discussion in this thread is off-topic. It doesn't relate to playing or using the site, at best it's an issue with the owner of Betnomi.com, and not the site itself. All future comments will be "Reported to moderator" as off-topic. The discussion can carry on, in another thread or accusation if one stands as has been noted previously.
237  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 18, 2020, 07:57:43 PM
Hello all,

So first off I have been in talks with Betnomi for a while about a few things first was an Avatar rental which we hashed out a couple days ago - Paid in full. The second was about me becoming a forum representative for Btetnomi. This is still in the works but after having spoken with them today, we decided to move it along a little and cover the full scope of my role in the coming weeks. For now you can expect me to speak on behalf of Betnomi, in regards to most things, and what I don't know or needs clarification I will seek.

I am not taking over control of their account, that account is not changing hands and will stay with the owner so they can still post and answer as they see fit or as required.

I do have some training upcoming to bring me up to speed on the casino games, sportsbook, as well as overall company structure. Really anything else i feel I need to know to provide good open and honest customer support.

I look forward to interacting with everyone and taking on this new role.

Man you know I was happy that one of my friends with thsi project picked me up. Until it was a train wreck. Sorsis doesn't follow through with anything that he says to his staff. People who he got me to hire have yet to be paid and I haven't been paid properly myself. He legit set me up to fail telling me this and that and NOT ONCE followed through with what he said.
This is someone who has 2 kids one on the way who was fired from the Casino he worked with at the time for helping us with some stuff. He has yet to be paid....
https://ibb.co/PtCb4w9
And Sorsis is the one who said to hire him for 1.5x the pay because of what happened.... that was in september. We are now in November and he hasn't been paid.
When I first saw this I was concerned and reached out to Betnomi for clarification. In regards to your friend, they were given essentially a "signing bonus" - which was paid - and were hired on for work that has not yet started. I understand they have been in contact with Betnomi and confirmed a receipt of that "Bonus", also that they understood paid work in the chats had not yet begun. I do believe that they are still waiting for work in their area to begin/become necessary, and will still retain their role when it is required. Either way that is for your friend to clarify with Betnomi the start date for paid work.

In regards to yourself. I was concerned considering you were a company representative, as announced about a month or so ago in this thread. I understand you are no longer an Employee with Betnomi, and that took place prior to you posting here about lack of payments. I'm not going to disclose anything personal or in-depth, but it is not an amicable split, Betnomi is reviewing what is owed and paying your final compensation.

I wish you the best of luck moving forward

That's actually Doug and his joking/trolly nature, as far as I can tell. It was just all good that Bill had stated Doug was using solvers, but corrected himself.

From the sounds of it they are still going to their judge/arbitrator who someone said might be Phil Galfond, I don't know this for sure but might be why perkins tagged him.

AAaaaaand we've hit the first issue.

I'm kinda confused as to how this is an issue but I guess team Daniel has an issue with Doug looking back at the client hand history as part of his off session study to count things like C-bets, folds to C-bets and BTN play.

A bit annoying as this was getting interesting checking in to see how things change from session to session. I've only read tweets from Doug and Bill Perkins, so I don't know to much else. Hoping this gets sorted out sooner rather than latter.

Am I missing something here?
