I think a simple google search would have given you the answer. https://www.binance.com/en
Operating yes, with US based branch as well.
1222  Other / Meta / Re: [Poll] How do you choose Trust List inclusions? on: October 04, 2019, 07:12:46 PM
Well my list consists of some older members who at the time showed all or enough of these traits. Good judgement, Trustworthy behavior, accurate feedback. The last one was tricky as well as it has caused me to leave out a few members who would otherwise be on my list, as well as excluding people I had no interactions with, because of people I wanted included.
I didn't select the "Accurate negative reviews, imo it should just be accurate feedback in general not just negatives. This means willing to give neutrals, instead of positive or negative and the ability to apply it in a manner that I agree with.
A good metric that I keep forgetting and was pointed out to me is also their Flag support, or objection.
My selected options from the pole:
Quote
Someone who demonstrates good judgement of character
Someone who's historically demonstrated trustworthy behavior
1223  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 04, 2019, 07:02:25 PM
I am glad you took the time to think it over and to actually see how the process of their KYC goes, at first , you kind of opposed me in this and I was thinking that maybe I should remove the tag since you being their client should know better than I do, at this point I have no doubt that both the negative tag and the flag are well deserved.
Sorry didn't mean for it to come off as opposing you, I actually hadn't even gone far enough to look for an account on the forum. I was doing my best to remain objective and not circle the wagons immediately, that's why I chose the route of service discussion. It gave me time to go through their discord, and attempt to reason with anyone there. It went no where and after sorting my business with them I could reflect and make a reasoned decision. Especially when it comes to Flags I want to make sure I don't jump the gun.

I noticed it's showing as active now. On the note of having my information deleted by Fractal. I received an email to say email this other address, we'll see how that goes.

1224  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NovaBlock, The Most Profitable Mining Pool on: October 04, 2019, 04:31:43 AM
No the fee is reduced to 2.5% until the pool reaches 2000PH. If reviewing the pool through Vincent the fee is reduced to 0% for 1 month while conducting the review.
1225  Other / Archival / Re: 10 bitcents card on: October 04, 2019, 04:26:27 AM
I wasn't able to the other night. I assumed that evening that they might have used that address. I asked when it didn't work, I just didn't mention it.

Can you repost a signed message in this format.
----Begin Signed message----

----Address----

----Signature----

----End of Signed Message----

This could help if perhaps the error is on our end.
1226  Other / Meta / Re: Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 04, 2019, 04:21:06 AM
No that would be open to extreme criticism, you would need a strict set of criteria for this and evidence that each person has been matched against it equally for banning them or giving them a sig ban. This would all need to be transparent and also it would be essential ALL participants were measured equally against such criteria.
I used that list as it was a running tally, of people currently banned from the campaign and many were still wearing the signature. Considering at the time I fell down a rabbit hole as one of the weak unhealthy ones wandered into a thread I was a part of. I then followed the grouped trail. While compiling proof and evidence before making wild accusations would find it to be wasted effort for a few. Obviously I don't expect the Admins to just take anybody's word for it.. sorry but we do still have to trust them... they can review the list against the reports submitted. There weren't many but all the posts I reported came back good.

We do know that good reports against users for spam, plagiarism, should count as proof they are violating the guidelines/rules everyone can see and should follow.

Quote
I certainly would also take into account here that EVERY post here on this thread here is made by people that are intent of milking the board for the maximum they can.
What milk are you looking for? I get it you don't like a lot of people but, that is a very broad stroke, which only detracts from your point. Stop using a paint roller when a brush will do.

Personally I felt a Ban would be harsh. A sig ban to most of these users is like a fine. Worse yet like being suspended from work. I'm not on the frontlines managing these folks, so I can only imagine what Yahoo sees in a week especially now. So I understand why he may want to up the anti, I just like to see progressive steps. Like losing your monetization but having the ability to participate. Not everyone will, but  a full on Ban can detract the few that might.  I have no idea what information about this campaign and it's total participants is out there, but I'm thinking this is one of the largest Campaigns ever run on the forum, by number of users.

It was just a thought. Seeing as nothing has happened in regards to this. The problem must not be anywhere near as bad as it seems.
1227  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 04, 2019, 03:46:26 AM
Sorry I haven't kept up posting but I do have an update on my particular situation … but wait mini ranting on my progress and just a general issue I see. Honestly the more time I log in the cryptoshpere the more I hate the current market relationship with exchanges. Considering the heavy handed tactics that may well become the norm, I'm hoping more people look to remove 3rd parties from their trades. I try my damndest to buy or sell coins P2P. It's just fuckin tough.
-Most people don't want to because they are to lazy to verify who they are dealing with. I get it scams but you can dodge this shit with a small amount of effort usually.
-Don't care about being their own bank and still want someone holding their funds. Maybe without consent Roll Eyes
-Want to use Credit Cards or link a bank account. Great first step but it this is also one of the reasons I will drive 4 hours once a month to keep connected with a near local community to try and facilitate buying.

So yes illegal no. They are complying with a law. This doesn't change the fact that they were not complying with these laws for years. Not to mention they only partially began complying with this a few months ago, in targeting US citizens with notice of the change. This made sense as the US seems to get cut off from services the rest of the world can use, due to their regulations. I've said it before I don't care they want to comply for the sake of operating this platform without hassle in the future.

What should happen regardless if they are so interested in being fully legal, and the EU is serious about their handling of non - complaint exchanges. The company and it's team should be brought up on charges and have their day in the system for their blatant disregard for those laws. It's convenient nothing like this will be discussed or ever see the light of day.

Either way I am fully done dealing with them as of this morning. Any further issues I have will be with Fractal.

There was an option for people to get their coins out of custody without verifying, sounds to good to be true. Well half. Essentially you had to trade the asset into bitshares, then using your same credentials log into another gateway - similar to cryptobridge, I think openledger was the one. I didn't get this far as when I checked the pairings, it became apparent you would take a 10-50% hit on the value of your coin go figure, must have been a market disruption or some event to overvalue BTS. (internal rage grumblings)
So I then proceeded to read Fractals terms and noticed they have a deletion policy inline with EU privacy laws and.... wait that can't be right... oh never mind. From this I said Fuck it, I don't know what other shady shit may come and I want my coins back where they belong. Not going to lie, had more than I should have there, got busy and caught with my pants down so to say.

So I know have all my coins. In my wallet.

The problem with Fractals little box mentality of an entire world providing documents that fit their requirements.... damn foreign continent tel.. I'm amazed how much it still pisses me off...
I sent everything they asked for, but oh no I don't receive door delivery mail. So none of my bills come addressed to my street address. Only US drivers licenses work, so mine with an address would have been no good, and it doesn't count based on their initial gathering. So lucky me it was property tax time a few weeks ago - never thought I'd be thankful for that. I clearly wrote on the receipt that mail goes to a P.O box, showed them the physical street address in the receipt description for what I paid taxes on. Wake up 8 hours later to being declined.
To their credit, I sent an email to support and pointed out they should learn to actually review the document and they would have noticed everything they need is there. 20 minutes and I was verified, 30 minutes had my coins. 40 minutes emailed their support requesting all my information be deleted in compliance with their policies.

I don't know how much it will scrub, I may never know how many back-ups of my beautiful mug looking like a rage bomb next to happy  dude on a passport. I am done though. There are many out there who might never get their coins. I heard suggestions like have your parents verify and shit, what a joke.

Forgot to add they booted me from the discord after I explained what I did and why in regards to verifying then requesting my documents be deleted. To be fair I did also tell everyone if you must do the same and then go trade anywhere else as their is no benefits to CB anymore. getting booted was actually kind of a bright spot today.

I will update a flag here. It is evident they are not acting in good faith. Was I made whole by the end, no. If there needs to be monetary damages attached it would be in the cents at this moment as I wasn't about to mess around and had to leave a few fractions of a coin there, due to issues with the withdrawal. And a fraction of their BTS that was used for fees previously.
The damage more centers around my privacy which I'll admit I wasn't always the best of protecting, but those were my mistakes. This was being forced to hand it over to a company not of my choosing, with no other option than to be financially harmed.

Edit: Here is the flag. I believe it is all covered feel free to let me know if I messed this up in any way. Hopefully I don't have to make many more of these in the future.
1228  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NovaBlock, The Most Profitable Mining Pool on: October 04, 2019, 03:00:40 AM
I hear yah, Maybe I can time an anniversary gift to the wife with one of these conferences by accident in the next couple years. I do still owe her a proper honeymoon. Wink Apart from that I have updated my review thread with a 5 day earnings comparison. I also included a link to the spreadsheet I'm using. Here is the post. I  have also downloaded the App on my phone and will discuss it more once I am more familiar with it.
1229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Review] - Novablock Mining Pool on: October 04, 2019, 02:44:26 AM
This will be the post I update my earnings in. It will be linked into the OP. This will help me avoid overediting the OP. I will Edit this post each time and add a break and date to track earnings reports here. This is only taking into account BTC rewards. I will do something looking at merged mining in the future.

Here are my initial findings after 5 days. I started the comparison on the 28th of September, as I was informed my mining fee was changed to 0% on the 27th. Now I didn't wait for that to begin reviewing, it just allowed me to use full days, and apply a straight 97.5% to my daily earnings. I am going to link the spreadsheet I'm using, it's not pretty but it tallies. If you notice any errors or have questions feel free to post here or PM me.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qK1WvWXB51i37I-SjRLeR_WEeO2xXPwq0Uh8AVVGguo/edit?usp=sharing

Take away early on is that I have been more profitable on Novablock all 5 days. The average earnings being 102.61% of my ViaBTC/TH reward.

Side note here. During this time I also had my auto-payout set and received my first payout. I changed it to a threshold of .01 and will continue to monitor the time from passing the threshold to payout TXID.

1230  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 03, 2019, 03:22:53 AM
Might want to catch up there bud. This is for all users everywhere. The difference was they allowed US citizens a grace period to leave with their coins, months ago when it was rolled out.

At this point I had seen you could attempt to sell coins into BTS I believe then use a different bitshares gateway to withdraw them there. There are a couple extra steps. The problem is some coins have surprise surprise taken a 30+% hit on that pairing. I have some time so I'm going to keep playing around.

On another note I have been reading up in Fractal and their data deletion policy. So I'm going to check with support to see how long it takes and what sort of imprint is left behind.
1231  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 02, 2019, 09:03:04 PM
Nice well I'm glad that someone else sees them the same way I did. The info out there about them is spotty at best and hard to confirm. I did get an actual company name last night, based in the EU so the american HQ is just BS they were happy to ket people believe. I wasn't sure about the terms as I read them but you helped pick it apart very well.

I had come across an interview that was even funnier to read it was a little after they announced the US portion. I had missed the 4 week timeline as I read through this  overnight so that will be my next foray with their support; if I actually find a rep who doesn't deny representing them now that people are angry.

I don't know anything about the IOU's likely only something you run into once.

Edit: This morning/afternoon lol, it looks like there is now an Admin on discord answering questions, I've put the 4weeks point to them. Might be blocked as I couldn't @ them. We'll see, I don't mess with discord to much. T - The response is state law is above contractual law. So not to prove they knew it was coming and chose not to provide the 4 weeks, thus violating their terms prior to enforcement. Should be fun.

Inregards to below, legal action is a tricky one. Once I found out they were actually a EU company out of Denmark I believe, and CB is viewed as a product. I'm going to explore options for filing complaints. From what I've heard the EU has a lot of rules and what not.
1232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto-Bridge Just sprung KYC on everyone today - No notice given on: October 02, 2019, 01:39:47 PM
Not sure when I'll update but over the next day or so I'm going to explore options to move funds without KYC. I can log in and see all my balances. They do give the option to send coins to another CB account - that won't lead to people getting ripped off I'm sure.
I believe there is another option but I have to read into this more as I've never done anything like it before.
It's been tiring but amusing reading through there terms; a lot of stuff going to need to be updated. Random trolls who believe it was there only hope.
1233  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 02, 2019, 10:17:42 AM
I will definitely keep people informed as to how this plays out. Like I said I will wait it out a while, but will likely have to submit. Especially since they can choose to de-list any coin they wish. Got so caught up in my ranting and raving I had forgotten to Tag, thanks for the reminder. The discord has been pretty entertaining, as far as irritating situations go at least.
1234  Other / Meta / Re: Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 02, 2019, 07:47:56 AM
Well I believe there will be a decent amount of space taken up on the modlog that will back up Yahoo's opinion. I do hope everyone is reporting posts after notifying Yahoo, so that we are also clearing the boards as well. If you are getting removed from a campaign for Sig-spamming/burst posting solely for profit, you don't deserve the privilege not right.
1235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Review] - Novablock Mining Pool on: October 02, 2019, 07:40:48 AM
I should have them up tomorrow or the next day. Working around my work schedule and that will give me 5 or 6 consistent days to compare against. Considering the size of slush and how that should bring a near consistent reward, I may try and compare against them also in the future. In theory they should be a higher paying pool, but still subject to luck and variance.
1236  Other / Meta / Re: Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 02, 2019, 07:07:43 AM
I'm not sure if everyone on the list deserves a sig ban
I was only thinking something like a week, a bit of a tap to rethink their motivation here. While showing how easily you can piss away the opportunity. I imagine for a Ban to take place it would come aftr users go back and report all posts they report to you. I've left mine until you added users to the list.

Well, here we go. I have been advocating for some attention to be given to the signature section of the forum by the adminstrators. Using this users as scapegoat would set a perfect example to other. As this will send a clear message to signs spammers. I second the suggestion.@Yahoo, don't think it'll be justifiable if we ban them from the forum, In my opinion, temporary signature ban between 6-24 months would do just the trick, they're always welcome if they can amend their ways.
I'm not looking for any overhaul to the current on forum Signature Camapaign dynamic. I think it operates fairly well. This is different, anyone Sr. Member and above gets in. It's only after Yahoo bans them do they lose their pay, and there are a lot of people joining. I'm also not looking to scapegoat anyone, this is targeted only at users violating forum poilicies/guidelines.
1237  Other / Meta / Re: Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 02, 2019, 06:44:07 AM
Temp sig bans would be enough for the spam posters, but those who woke up and changed passwords would be in a different case, IMO.
Well I do recall some of the cryptios team had been preemptively locking suspicious activity accounts. Iirc at least 1 legitimate account owner got caught up in it due to password and email changes.. Can't recall will have to look it up. I'm just thinking there are options available, that still seem to be within the forums general way of doing things.
Edit: Here's what I was thinking about. I would still expect research and investigation before just a blind action in this matter.
Well spotted! It appears that this account has indeed changed hands as the email address was changed on July 22, 2017, alongside with posting and IP patterns. I've now locked it! In the meantime, DT members can go ahead and paint it red until (and if) we determine the real owner.

Thank you for bringing this up!
1238  Other / Meta / Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 02, 2019, 06:30:27 AM
Now before people show up with their pitchforks calling for a forum wide Ban, or rotten tomatoes because they lost their job this week. I would like to request Temp Sig Bans for anyone on the Banned list.
List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign

Nothing crazy, or go crazy what do I care. This will help in clearing a lot of Sig spam from the forum for one. - The rest of the benefits really are for anyone trying to identify current spammers, or assist in monitoring this campaign. By imposing a Sig ban on these members peolpe will no longer have to double check over and over if they are on the list. It won't interfere with anyone not spamming the forum strictly for the money. Thoughts?
1239  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NovaBlock, The Most Profitable Mining Pool on: October 02, 2019, 06:03:26 AM
Yes, finally a recieved my payment.
But this delay is pointing that your NovaPPS+ is a very strange reward system.
So i would recommend to think twice before point any ASIC gears to this pool.
Thanks.
Was your payout delayed beyond the 4 am timeframe? If not then there really wasn't any issue, I've been on a few pools in the past that had a batched payout time each day; some allowed you to manually withdraw and pay a TX fee. The Nova PPS+ wouldn't have affected that; unless it caused the pool to become insolvent as Kano has mentioned with the pool assuming risk in these payout structures.
Either way glad you got it sorted out.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin Mining Farm burned down at the same time as a 119 min Block time! on: October 02, 2019, 05:53:51 AM
Again no for sure on the fire, I posted about it yesterday in a thread where we discuss Diff increases and wishful hoping for drops. Over the last few days we have put in a Network Hashrate of ~86-87 EH, if this carries on it does give the impression that a lot of the network went offline. I say it because at the last adjustment we were putting in highs of around 102 EH, with all signs pointing to continued hashrate growth, a lot of preorders for dense efficient miners.
There are also factors like older gear coming offline as the price has dropped and Diff has been growing. Currently we are looking at about a 2% drop in mining difficulty. This could change very easily and likely will. The reason being it's an estimate being done with only 33% of the Data; mined blocks.
