^ I don’t think the Nuggets will be giving the Lakers anything. I think they want another sweep over LeBron to send a message. This will be an interesting game to watch though. I don’t think the Lakers win, but the thing to watch will be DeAngelo Russell and what sort of effort he brings to the table after seemingly checking out of the last game.
222  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Nano 3 [unofficial thread] on: April 26, 2024, 11:01:04 PM
Canaan store opened!!!

Nano3 Is now here:

https://shop.canaan.io/

B10

Cool. I got the email stating this as well. It also said that they’re expecting the next big shipment of Avalon nanos to go out on May20th. That means it won’t be much longer before those of us who ordered get to have our hands on them. I’m not looking forward to the heater aspect much, but cheap hashes are always great.

Oh no… Damian Lillard just went down with a knee injury. We’ll have to see how bad this is before calling it an end to the Bucks season, but with both of their superstars injured it doesn’t look good at the moment for Milwaukee. With some luck Dame and Giannis will be back for game 4, but it’s looking like Indiana is going to take this one and go up 2-1 on the series.
224  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 26, 2024, 10:01:06 PM
With the way this is going, both price-wise and pushup-wise, you guys are going to be so ripped when it hits $100k. I'm talking shirts breaking under pressure here Cheesy
Don't know if this is good or bad though. Good because you're working out, bad because you're focusing on a single muscle group and I can see no end to your struggle.

Come on brother, it seems like you're the one discouraging Bitcoin price from going forward rather we're seeing the price backsliding to an amount non of us want at the moment 😅🤔. Although the push up is really helping out to keep the body in shape and healthy but is best to still add up other form of exercises to balance the whole thing like I ones said before.
Don't kill the vibe on this movement and I kinda feel that you have already given up or better still don't have interest at all, I think is time Mr double JG give us some words of encouragement and something new why Bitcoin price isn't showing any sign of positivity.

He’s not wrong though. I think it’s important to try and get some other muscle groups involved as well. These days when I get my 100 push-ups in early I move on to doing other exercises with my arms but I always try to get steps, biking and stairs in also. I’ve found since we’re already down on the ground doing push-ups, adding in a few seconds of planking isn’t so much to do. I urge folks to try adding 30 seconds of planking at the end of each set of push-ups throughout the day to help spread the muscle around. Smiley

Three good games on today. I’ve got to say that I think the matchup of Dallas and the Clippers is my favorite so far of these playoffs. They’re both great teams that play exciting basketball. That will be a fun one to watch. The later game with the Suns and Timberwolves should be another great game to watch packed with star power. A good night for NBA basketball.

Another day in the books. I’m impressed with myself that I’ve managed to keep a daily streak of anything alive for nearly three months. It definitely shows commitment. I suspect I may be around the halfway mark with what I’ll need to do in order to complete the challenge, as I am expecting BTC hits $100K late this summer.

And they got destroyed again by Nuggets in the late game. This is always the problem of Lakers when it comes to dealing with Nuggets. They can’t find a way to lock down Jokic being pesky with his assist and attack in the inside once Lakers defenders was focused to the perimeter shots of Nuggets.

This will be a back 2 back playoffs sweep for Lakers made by Nuggets if ever they lose the game 4 which is highly possible considering how they can’t find a way to deal with Nuggets.

It’s an end of an era for the King. I smell change team for the last time.

PS: The rebound count of Nuggets show how dominant they are on this game since all of them is making an effort to save the ball.

This was a crucial game for the Lakers, and now they have almost no chance left in this series since they lost it. The funny thing is that the Lakers played pretty solid and led after the first halves in all three games of this series against the Nuggets, but then they performed very poorly in the second halves each time, especially in the third quarter of those games. In other words, they've made the same mistake every time. Maybe it's the inexperience of the coach or something else.

Yup, the Lakers are cooked. It will be interesting to see what moves they make in the offseason. LeBron wants to renegotiate. DeAngelo is gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went after Klay Thompson.

Embiid’s performance tonight is even more impressive now that he has revealed he is playing while being treated for Bell’s Palsy.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 26, 2024, 02:50:00 AM
Embiid made a comeback in a major way ending the night with 50 and getting the win for the Sixers. I guess he got pissed off and responded. Glad to see it after all the playoff problems he’s had in the past.

Watching the Lakers now. They’re playing dominant so far after one quarter but that’s how the whole series has been going. We’ll see how long they can keep it up.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samourai Wallet seized by the feds on: April 26, 2024, 12:30:21 AM
We’ll have to wait and see if they are actually convicted of a crime. From reading on this forum it sounds like people have a completely different idea of the services provided from what is in the fed documents. If what people here believe is true, it’s possible the devs will beat this case. I have my doubts though. This sort of seizure doesn’t typically happen unless there are mountains of evidence.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 26, 2024, 12:27:33 AM
That flagrant foul by Embiid in the 76ers vs Knicks game was a pretty dangerous play. You could see his frustration throughout the play ending in him grabbing Mitchell Robinson’s legs. He’s lucky he only got a flagrant and Mitchell didn’t get injured or he get tossed. Not a good sign to be having these frustrations so early. Looking like the Sixers might make an early exit from the postseason.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 08:46:48 PM
Heat always ends up playing amazing against Celtics, they always end up shooting great at three as well and suddenly every player they have turns into great players later on as well. I think we should consider Heat as a sneaky great team in the end.

No team that ends up with 2 finals in the last 5 seasons could be considered a bad team, they may end up not being great at regular season, but when the playoff time comes they turn it around and become a great team. Every player they have end up being greater at playoffs than they are at regular season. This is why I have a feeling that they could end up winning at the end of the season, that is a possibility and I believe that we could see them end up being greater in the end.

The Heat are a dangerous team in my opinion because they have a lot of specialists who are good at what they do. When everything is going right, they can beat anyone. However, they lack the all around game I think teams need to be able to win a championship. So I wouldn’t call them a bad team, but I think they have a lot of flaws that will get exposed over a 7 game series.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seems Roger ver's narrative of Bitcoin isn't same with most of ours. on: April 25, 2024, 04:54:41 PM
Funny seeing a bunch of newbies debate something that happened before any of them ever heard of Bitcoin and pretend that they know what they’re talking about. It’s pretty clear that nobody commenting here was around for the block wars, knows what they’re talking about, or has read Roger’s book. Why even bother to comment on something that you so obviously have no clue about?

Would anyone here pay 2.0BTC and up for an unfunded version of the gold 1000 cas, same as one MJ has listed?

That is high by a factor of 10.

You’re selling one for 0.2 BTC? Sold.

WOW!

Indeed. I think as far as regrets go, in the future this will probably be the biggest of the buyer’s life. A million dollars on a pad of paper someone scribbled a note on. I honestly don’t care if it’s a signed civil war document. No piece of paper should carry such a value in my opinion. Still, congrats to all involved. That’s no small amount of money.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 04:46:01 PM
A couple big games tonight on TNT. Both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers are fighting to stay in the series and get their first win to avoid going down 0-3, which will likely mark the end for either team. I like the Sixers’ odds better than the Lakers, but I’m sure LeBron doesn’t want to get swept by the Nuggets again.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 05:09:44 AM
^ Ya, the 3 point shooting performance from the Miami Heat was something else tonight. Boston didn’t have much of a chance against a shooting barrage like that. It isn’t very often you see a team shoot over 50% from three point range. If that’s what it’s going to take for them to win the next game, that’s a tall order…
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samourai Wallet seized by the feds on: April 25, 2024, 12:39:55 AM
Are we understanding why privacy needs to be implemented at the protocol level yet?

I don’t know how Samourai Wallet worked but my understanding from what I’m reading is that there is potentially up to 700 million dollars now under Fed control as a result of this? Are the users the ones who have had their funds confiscated? If so, is there any hope for recovery?

Coinjoins aren't custodial, so there's no funds they can seize. The Feds are only able to access the data of Samourai's users since their wallet was designed to collect xpub addresses and IP addresses by default.

Samourai Wallet had something called Whirlpool with nearly 700 million dollars in it. This is now shut down and under the control of the feds from what I’m reading. This is what I was referencing. Again, I’m not sure how it all works so maybe I’m just misunderstanding your explanation, but there are definitely funds that have been seized or frozen in some fashion so I would assume some part of it is custodial or based on web contracts or something. I give you exhibit A of this below:

Is there another wallet that would support whirlpool transactions from samurai? I was in the process of using whirlpool but it's not possible to connect to it anymore. It just provides an error. How would I continue with my conjoin or worst case, withdraw my funds?
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China Supports Crypto, Where Can Bitcoin's Price Go? on: April 24, 2024, 11:05:48 PM
We’ll get a good idea about what sort of support will be coming from China on April 30th and the days thereafter when we see what sort of money flows are going to be generated from their new ETFs. I suspect we won’t see what we’ve seen here in the US as far as demand initially, but as more and more investors get access to BTC, the price will inevitably rise.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 24, 2024, 11:02:13 PM
I think the Celtics probably take this series over the Heat easily and tonight should be another step towards that. Nothing too surprising expected there. The New Orleans game should be a little more interesting, as that team should be rested finally after the play-in tournament. No Zion and an angry BI makes it a tough road ahead for them though.

The Celtics have great chance, especially if the Miami Heat don't change their game. And if Jimmy Butler plays the Miami Heat might secure at least one win. I also believe the Celtics will win this series, unlike what happened to the Miami Heat last season that they upset the East number 1 seed. Right now, the Celtics still have the highest odds of becoming the champions this NBA season. Still reasonable odd IMO.
If there is still no Jimmy for their game 2, this is for sure another game for the Celtics. That's always been the agitator whenever they face in the playoffs.
As for the odds, that's obvious because there's lesser confidence that the Heat will win this game but still, if you're a fan of theirs and you've got some reasons to bet on them then let's all just watch and say good luck to the Heat.

Even with Jimmy I think the game would go to Boston. Miami just doesn’t have enough to beat them this year. With the game kicking off now on TNT, I’m expecting we see the Celtics take a 2-0 series lead and begin thinking about their next matchup, which I suspect will be against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
