2421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most undervalued altcoins for 2018. on: January 15, 2018, 07:12:12 AM
when you visit coinmarketcap.com next time try scrolling down outside of top 10 or 20 and you will find the undervalued coins there. try looking for higher volume coins that have the volume but don't have the price or the bloated market capitalization of the top altcoins.

for example take a look at Byteball, Waves, PIVX, ... these are solid projects with a lot of potential of growth which is not yet met.

also at the end of the day there are also always pumping coins which get pumped big time every day.
2422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin plunge on: January 15, 2018, 07:01:15 AM
Why did bitcoin value drop in last few months?

are you an idiot or just spreading FUD?
have you ever bothered to look at the price history? some charts for example!

when you look at monthly price moves even a 5 year old can see price has been rising not dropping. lets say by "last few" you mean last 2 months. price was $6700 2 months ago today!
and it was $4800 3 months ago.
in short for the past 12+ months price has been rising and only had a drop which lasted 8 days and that stopped on 2017-12-23 and it has not moved more than 10% from that day.
2423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Red Market on: January 15, 2018, 06:53:51 AM
meh, you are being too dramatic.
right now we are seeing the other side of the coin. which is the dumping part of the altcoins. back when they were pumping constantly you should have prepared for this time but most people forget it until it is too late and their wallet/portfolio starts showing them red numbers and then they realize they are under a huge load of dump Wink

besides this is January and this month is the month for little action, which is what we are seeing in bitcoin. and the reason why traders have been active a little more in altcoins.
2424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steam is no longer supporting BTC. on: January 15, 2018, 06:43:53 AM
If you guys don't think the sub which will not be mentioned has not been brigading their support with bogus fee complaints, I've got news for you. This is a war after all...

i am not sure what you are talking about but there has never been anything bogus about transaction fees. for about 2 months or more the fees have been somewhere between 400 and 600 satoshi per byte which is completely unacceptable for bitcoin.

and that is why places like Steam are dropping bitcoin payment option.
2425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What You Think Of Ethereum Classic on: January 14, 2018, 08:51:54 AM
the very same as ethereum without the roll back contentious hard fork but without the centralization and the money that ethereum foundation has to advertise and pump the coin.

i personally have not invested in ethereum classic but i have invested in ethereum

then that means you have missed out on a huge market with lots of pumps and dumps and lots of profits to be made from those pumps which are even better than ETH pumps because ETC has lower price and can be pumped much easier.

and in the end they both are the same buggy platform which have better competitors that can simply replace it if they gain some small community attention.
2426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Bitcoin discussion .... on: January 14, 2018, 08:37:35 AM
people who are on top of the centralized power which is gained by the fiat and the centralization of that can not and will not understand bitcoin. they will always feel threatened by it. and because of that they will always talk it down and even spread FUD about it.
when bitcoin first came out the same people were saying it will not last more than 2-3 years and will never be worth more than $10 and now bitcoin is 9 years old and is worth more than $13000.
2427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Crypto Trading Groups on: January 14, 2018, 08:24:16 AM
the "groups" specially on telegram and discord and when they require some sort of entrance are always scams. even if you see some Technical Analysis on them, they just put those up to make them look more legit to someone from outside. in reality they are doing the same thing as any other pump and dump groups.

if you want technical analysis (which is useless for altcoins by the way) learn to do it yourself and then visit TradingView.com for some insights.
2428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network on: January 14, 2018, 08:07:44 AM
I understand that it will kill the high fees we see today and make it cheap and fast like altcoins.
no it won't kill the high fees. LN is an addition that will work on top of the bitcoin blockchain and if people use it more, it can help decrease the number of on chain transaction and the backlog a little bit and decrease the fees because of that. but eventually you need to make transactions on chain to get in and out of LN and that requires fees and they may even go higher if LN helps with more bitcoin adoption and more users which means more transactions ...

1. Is it going to be 100% sure or just speculations ?
2. Launching date ? weeks/ months/ years ?
3. is it work on a third party service or it will work on and from every wallet (blockchain.innfo , exodus, electrum etc ? )
LN is a protocol just like bitcoin. i think we can call it a set of consensus like rules. there are currently a lot of projects being built around these just like how there are  a lot of bitcoin wallets built around bitcoin rules.

in other words the same way there are bitcoin core, bitcoin armory, electrum, multibit, blockchain.info, greedaddress, and 100 other wallets there are also many LN wallets.
LN is already launched and working. these wallets are in beta and being tested as we speak.
then we need adoption by everyone to start using it.
2429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adding tangible incentives while running a full node? on: January 14, 2018, 08:02:03 AM
bitcoin is a censorship resistant peer to peer digital cash. when you are using it then you are a peer in this decentralized network. in order to be a peer and also help with the thing you are using you need to run a full node and contribute to the network to make what you use stronger.
this should be more than enough incentive for anyone to run a full node in my opinion.

as for monetary incentive you can start running a Lightning node alongside your full node and get a little amount of fee by processing LN transactions.
2430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Green at coinmarketcap, bullish trend positive outlook! on: January 12, 2018, 07:31:58 AM
yeah, i also believe that the dips we saw in the past days are the final dips of bitcoin for this month. and unless something unexpected happens (like some big exchange getting hacked or scamming) i don't see any other drops. the trend reversal can easily start from this point on.
they spread all the FUD they could, and although it is still strong but they ran out of tricks.

I will also like bitcoin to remain stable in other for retails shop to be able to used it.

for that, the fees have to come down.
2431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another excellent buying opportunity for Bitcoin on: January 12, 2018, 07:14:51 AM
investment is always a risky thing to do. it doesn't matter what you are investing in. unfortunately most people who have been investing in bitcoin don't follow the first rule of investment: "invest what you can afford to lose" and that is why we see the big drops like these happen so often.

this is a good buying opportunity because these panic sellers are almost out. but it is still risky because they are not all out and the FUD is still strong.
i like the strategy you chose, buy some now and wait for possible drops. if they happen you still have money to buy and if t hey don't happen you have already invested something at the bottom so you don't regret everything.
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to transfer funds between exchanges on: January 11, 2018, 07:29:24 AM
whenever you are looking for an altcoin to use in order to transfer money between exchanges, the withdrawal fee is not the only cost that you are paying!

the first cost which can be quite big depending on your amount is the trading fee. for example if you want to transfer 1BTC with an altcoin you have to pay 0.002BTC (which is the same as withdrawal fee in most exchanges even bigger in some) to buy that altcoin and then pay the same fee to sell it in other place. so you paid twice or thrice the withdrawal fee to transfer using an altcoin here!

another thing that most people miss is the price difference!
for example using Doge, you buy it at 30 satoshi and sell it at 29 satoshi. that is 3.33% loss.
if price is lower like 20-19 then it is 5% loss and so on.
2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what your opinion of rising etherum prices ? on: January 11, 2018, 07:18:43 AM
will the etherum price increase give you any impact,
of course! as a trader i enjoy the pumps very much because they give me a lot of profit whenever i am capable of catching one in its early stages and as it happens when i saw the ETH pump initiation i jumped in and i have already dumped it to get a nice profit out of it.

Quote
and what do you think about the price increase of etherum
pure hype...
ethereum has been advertised to death all its lifetime and that is being done with a specific funds the centralized authority has dedicated for this matter. of course that helps it a lot with the pump.
2434  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is the reason why bitcoin going down and how they manage to recover again on: January 11, 2018, 07:10:47 AM
reason?
price going up and down like this (which is small percentage) doesn't need much of a reason. it is  normal fluctuations of the price. although this time it is accompanied by some FUD which is making things a little bigger. and the FUD is about banning bitcoin (surprise surprise) in some random country (Korea).

recovery?
yeah, eventually. everyone needs to be able to buy back what they have been selling on tops and then accumulate more in order to get ready for the next phase which is the rally itself.
2435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has called the digital currency a "fraud" on: January 11, 2018, 07:00:41 AM
haha, it is funny because about 2 days ago Jamie Dimon said he is sorry for calling bitcoin a "fraud". things are starting to become very interesting again. what i would like to know is what do they have in their plans for bitcoin now? are they planning on selling the coins they bought at that dip he caused? or are their company starting to offer any bitcoin-related services?
they say they are planning on some blockchain-based system though.

the funny part is he is still saying "i don't care" but keeps talking about bitcoin Cheesy

2436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expecting a Market Crash in 48hrs? on: January 11, 2018, 06:55:01 AM
the timing of the FUD is quite interesting.
it is right after the rise to the upper resistance ended and we were already experiencing a drop. then the FUD machines started working overtime while the testing of the buy support started!

i think the drop may continue, but i wouldn't expect a "crash" exactly. possibly not even a big drop because it is such a small FUD to begin with. i mean the biggest one about China didn't do much, now this one about Korea can not be bigger than that!
2437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wtf is happening today for all altcoins?! on: January 10, 2018, 07:26:00 AM
which coin are you having trouble with? there are over 1700 coins in the market and each of them are doing a different thing!

the coins like ripple, TRON, Verge,... that have been pumped in the past couple of days/week and have increased a lot are currently getting dumped as traders cash out and then they will continue to dump more as the bag holders give up on making their money back and sell at a loss.

other coins such as Medibloc, UTRUST, Walton, Achain,... that have not been pumped in the past weeks or months are  currently getting pumped as the traders from previous part are moving their money out of previous coins into these new coins to pump them. then this will be followed by newbie who lost money coming here to lose more money here when the traders get out to the next set of coins to pump.
2438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uncertainty in bitcoin market. on: January 10, 2018, 07:08:06 AM
i think most of the problems and struggles that bitcoin is currently facing comes from the high fees and the fact that it has become very expensive to use bitcoin and that is not acceptable for something that is supposed to be a currency.

but from a chart perspective we are currently in the accumulation phase which has started after a huge rise and the follow up big drop. the accumulation phase seems very similar to an "uncertainty phase" too where price stays around the same price level and doesn't break out just yet.

i believe if the mempool clears up and fees come down we will definitely see price shoot up to above $20,000 in a short time.
2439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Bitcoin cash on: January 10, 2018, 06:53:53 AM
I prefer Bitcoin Cash and by the end of the year, it will be alteast x3 times higher than today.
Where did you get news that Bitcoin Cash going up? if the news is true then I will also invest in Bitcoin Cash

there is no news. he is just a "throwaway account" spamming about bitcoin cash because he is bag holding some of it.

here is the thing, as long as bitcoin fees are staying up and it is losing its merchant adoption due to high fees, altcoins like bitcoin cash and a lot of others will get pumped. it won't take a year, it will happen a lot sooner than that because bitcoin fees are high right now and bitcoin will either die in the future or fix this issue. and if bitcoin dies it will definitely not be bitcoin cash that replaces it because it also has the same issue.
2440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium to reach bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 06:49:59 AM
to be honest i can not see ethereum price going that high. if you ask me it shouldn't be even this high to begin with since it has a lot of issues most of which are not solvable.
and when it comes to altcoins, the competition if so much harder. looking at the similar projects i can see many other good ones that are doing the same thing as ETH and some of them are doing it even better. you would be surprised how easy it is to start a smart contract (or an ICO) on these platforms. it is even cheaper to do so too!

you see the only reason why ETH is going up is because it is centralized bank coin with a lot of hype. and centralized coins have no place in the future.
