Those are best newbie faucets, I don't recomend trying to get some profit from them.

Fair enough.
I do agree that the freebitco.in is the best faucet, but it is still 10x worse than a signature campaign. Smiley
262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why has Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared??? on: August 24, 2014, 03:46:10 PM
Anybody got any idea? Why doesn't the organization or person reveal itself? Why doesn't he work for it anymore?

Why should he reveal his own identity now?
He doesn't need money (he has lots of bitcoin untouched).
He doesn't need fame (If he wants to get famous, he would have revealed himself long time ago).

If he reveals his identity, he would probably never enjoy a peaceful life anymore.

http://www.coinsignal.info/content/atm-locations-2/old-gold-guys-raymore-mo-location/
Our current price per BTC at this location:
$546.46 / BTC

The current bitcoin price on bitstamp is $501.34. So, they are charging bitstamp+9% which is very high IMO...

265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is a newbie to get a bitcoin? on: August 24, 2014, 02:40:49 PM
I haven't had much luck  with mining. I tried websites such as BitVisitor, but they don't work. How to people use businesses to earn bitcoin?

You can sell products (anything from clothing to accessories to electronics) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0 for bitcoin.
You can sell digital goods (anything from accounts to game currencies to domain) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0.
You can sell services (anything from programming to translating to advertising) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crossed 500 USD - Bull Market returns ? on: August 24, 2014, 02:30:18 PM
at $497 on BTC-e
waiting for rise
small change on BTC-e in price $497.43 hope it will increase today to $510 Tongue

Unless you are planning to do some day-trading, you should not be worried in the day-to-day price movement at all.
Relax and check the price only once a week or once a month. Smiley
267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges on: August 24, 2014, 02:18:11 PM
Have you tried Poloniex?
It's fast and easy to use, recently the have added the new stellar coin.

poloniex don't support btc/usd
just altcoin

OP wants to know about both bitcoin and altcoin exchanges.

As an altcoin exchange, Poloniex is not bad at all IMHO.
268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy bit coins. on: August 24, 2014, 02:03:45 PM
Virwox
Play some second life and exchange the SSL for BTC  Grin

While OP can use Virwox to buy SLL with paypal deposits, and then buy BTC with SLL, the fee is very high on Virwox.

Earning SLL in second life is a lot harder than earning bitcoin directly IMO.

I just noticed the monarch pre-order is now closed with a notice.
Quote
Sorry, at this time we’ve closed pre-orders as we’re expecting to start shipping products to the backlog of current pre-orders. Once we’re ready to ship new orders we’ll open up ordering again. We suggest you subscribe to our email list to be notified when products are ready for general order shipping."

So may be their customers will finally receive the miner, after a terribly long delay...
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto - The Creator of BTC on: August 24, 2014, 01:50:19 PM
But Satoshi came up with the initial idea first?

The initial idea of bitcoin? Yes.

271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy bit coins. on: August 24, 2014, 01:41:32 PM
I want to buy bit coins but i am under 18 and everything on local bit coins ask for id except for cash meet up and I'm not comfortable doing money order or cash by mail. I have the money on my debit card  any help please?

Not sure if you need to be over 18 to use the exchanges, but I believe your parents are willing to help you. Smiley
If you are in US, you can use coinbase. If you are in Europe, you can use Bitstamp.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we have too many alt coins? on: August 24, 2014, 01:31:59 PM
Yup.
Those having the programming skills are free to make as many altcoins as they want, but the point I don't understand is why people invest in those shitcoins...
273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie starting his BTC hobby. on: August 24, 2014, 01:06:59 PM
I know starting a project like this is not profitable but an interesting "potential" investment for the future.

Are you referring to a potential very high bitcoin price in the future?
IMO, the future price shouldn't be in consideration at all as you can use the money to buy bitcoin directly now.
274  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: August 24, 2014, 12:55:18 PM
Why have you made this thread, it's pointless...

Pointless? We have new members making threads to ask about activity again and again.
If they do a search beforehand, they will very likely find this thread and won't need to make another new thread.
275  Other / Meta / Re: Small question. on: August 24, 2014, 12:47:09 PM
No, because it's possible to recover accounts by signing a recovery message using a bitcoin address that was used earlier. see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

Apart from that, it is possible the account was used for spamming and it is very close to getting banned.
276  Other / Meta / Re: Activity not inc since last 3 days on: August 24, 2014, 12:37:21 PM
Hello! my post count is 73 , but my activity is 56 only so am stuck on JR member
just wanted to know is there a problem or post is not related to activity
also i am daily active

You just need to make a post after Sept 2, then you will soon have 70 activity and will be a member.

so that means i might be a JR member now
but if i like stay idle for 2 weeks , i will become a newbie again ? :O

Unless you get a lot of posts deleted, your activity will stay at 56 forever if you stay idle.
277  Economy / Gambling / Re: EveryDice.com | 0.99% Edge - Instant Cashout - Invest - Referral - Mobile - Fair on: August 24, 2014, 12:22:39 PM
The bitcoin in the cold wallets (refer to #1704) is still untouched, how can ED settle most withdrawals from investors and players?
278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Auction Sites : is there any left? on: August 10, 2014, 11:28:15 PM
I know one,,www.bitcoinsmarket.biz,,

Is it your site?   Grin

Express your opinion for this one

I haven't heard of the site before.
I think the biggest problem of the site is that there are too few users (both buyers and sellers) now. There are only 34 listings in total and all of them have 0 bid...
279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know about BTC mining on: August 10, 2014, 11:19:44 PM
I am a new comer. I am here to learn about BTC. Specially BTC mining. I hope everyone will help me. I have heard that altcoin mining is much more profitable than BTC mining. So what should i do? Go for altcoin mining or start with BTC mining?

What kind of equipment do you have or plan to get? Sha256 ASIC? Scrypt ASIC? Or just a computer with GPU and CPU?

TBH, unlike a few years ago, it is much harder to get profit with bitcoin/altcoin mining now, and you should do some calculations first.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decide where to place bought BCs? on: August 10, 2014, 11:14:52 PM
Hello,

Im new to Bitcoins, but it might be the thing I need depending on how to receive bought BC.

Let´s say I sell some products and want to get paid with bitcoins. Is it possible for the buyer to buy BC by credit card or bank transfer and have them transferred automatically to my wallett? Decide where to place them

Maybe its the common thing, I don´t know, but would appreciate any answers. Also if there are any place to buy that offers international bank transfer & credit cards + the option above.

Credit card doesn't work well with buying bitcoin as it is reversible.
With bank transfer, you can buy bitcoin in those bitcoin exchanges easily after doing ID verification. Or you can buy through p2p trades with localbitcoins or this forum.
