2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 17, 2021, 08:26:14 PM
I suppose the competition is so great that some casinos and providers want to include anything to cover the entire spectrum of potential players. In my case I am not interested, my fun is focused on the outcome of my bet.

I like games and casinos that strive to offer variety and quality in the "traditional" casino concept in fact creativity can and should remain the player's experience in the game itself. So I think that the "elegance" and "glamor" that women give to casinos has to be kept as traditional as possible.
Yeah and there is nothing wrong with either of them. When I reached VIP platinum at stake long back, I was wondering whether I will get a male host or female host and I didn't mind getting a male host because he is caring and I have the similar approach as you, as long as I get the best deals or I am winning, I am happy.

I don't think it can "commodify women" as you say. Not all women can do this kind of job, only the prettiest and sexiest have a chance to be hired, so it doesn't concern the overall women community but only a very small part of it.
Right but remember "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" and if players are being attracted easily by some naked girls then it will certainly become a problem. I mean people seeking porn shall visit respective sites instead of casinos lol.
2602  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be too desperate to make earning on: July 17, 2021, 06:05:21 PM
Trading cryptocurrency for a very short time always is not the best as a trader
Unless you have the right knowledge and experience of doing it. I have seen traders who have made a good amount of money just by trading quickly from one coin to another because they somehow knew which coins were going to go up, which might be a result of their technical or fundamental analysis.

Successful traders I have come across go into longtime investment , trading is not just acquiring cryptocurrency but trading comes from the mindset.
I feel like you might have misunderstood investors as traders. Someone who puts money into a project for the long term is an investor while the trader has to keep trading activity because they don't have a gigantic capital and liquidity (ability to sell or buy coins quickly) is important for them.
2603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to do a defensive trading strategy? on: July 17, 2021, 04:10:08 PM
I encountered this "defensive trading strategy" term from a post in one of the social media platform. I tried searching for it in the web but haven't seen anything.
Defensive trading is a very common word and doesn't actually depict a specific strategy. The defensive strategy might mean a lot of things:

1- Trading only the pairs in crypto which are well known and have a solid market cap.
2- Have a well-planned backup for each trade to go bad.
3- Avoiding the purchase of shit coins.
4- Taking smaller profits like 1-2% from each trade instead of waiting for 100x

There can be many things like that because the term defensive is very subjective but one thing it does tells you is the mode of operation is safety-first approach.
2604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investment and loss anticipation on: July 16, 2021, 08:05:46 AM
Talking about cryptocurrencies, of course, it doesn't rule out investing or stocks, in this case, of course we have to be careful in investing because investing also contains risks. The risk here is to lose funds or other assets when the investment does not live up to expectations or even fails. Yes, it is true that we cannot invest and then only expect profits without understanding the risk of loss, but to warn of all possible losses, what steps should we take?
It is good that you understand the risks. Understanding the risks that are involved should be the first thing one should be doing when they become part of a community like this and they want to invest in cryptocurrency. I have seen people who start investing without knowing the risks that are involved, they just think that cryptocurrency is an asset that will just multiply your wealth overnight, and then when they happen to lose their money, they start thinking that Bitcoin is a scam.

So it’s a good thing to know the risks, because when you know the risks, you will be prompted to ask about ways you can avoid those risks and be safe with your investment. Although there is no hundred percent guarantee that you won’t lose, but you can still manage your risks.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 16, 2021, 06:48:06 AM
if you have been in 2017 you experience ups and downs of the market, lots of gains but lots of losses in some, but even though you have been through those times, still you haven't learn to correct those mistakes, I think there are lots of things that changes your view regarding the market and this are the following:
  • You follow a persons advice through his social account post example is Elon musk
  • You still believe that a certain coin will come back from the dead even though you already knew its a scam
  • you just follow your instinct and never make single research
  • emotions still control you to decided
mostly I see people who are successful in crypto have spent lots of time, before they reach where they are, yes there are things that are associated with luck but don't just depend on it.
There is a saying that goes that everything is not meant to be easy, if it’s easy, then it becomes a child’s play. That’s why it’s very important for people to work hard and also think smart. I have not seen anyone that got on cryptocurrency and had it so much easier. No, they had to work really hard before they could achieve anything from it.

It is all about hard working, and you have to be researching, and make use of both fundamental and tech analysis to predict the market. You shouldn’t be relying full time on analysis that are being made by other people. It’s not bad to take ideas from others, but you still research by yourself and know whether it is right or not.
2606  Economy / Economics / Re: Cybersecurity workers shortage in USA on: July 16, 2021, 06:14:41 AM
Recent news in various outlets are pointing out to companies in the US that have been victims of ransomware and other attacks not being able to get the help they need to get back on-line. Particularly, hacks that infect software companies that then spread the threats to other companies (as the recent Solarwinds which affected a number of major software providers). In my view, the equivalent to this is to be outnumbered by an enemy army - loosing a war because you do not have enough qualified soldiers.
It seems like issues that has to do with cyber security got worst ever since this pandemic, cause I was steady seeing news about companies that were being attacked by hackers. I am not too sure about what you have said here about cyber security workers shortage. I believe there are many of them out there, it is up to the companies to look for them and pay them properly and also provide them with every necessary equipment that they will be needing for their job.

It is very important for every companies to put more effort in insuring that they have the best security on their platform. Any company that doesn’t invest more in security is making a big mistake, because if they end up getting attacked they are going to be losing a lot of money due to that.
2607  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 15, 2021, 08:36:20 PM
I agree that even or sometimes especially in urban cities, if you live on the wrong side of the gap, it's really not a fun life. I went to my capital myself in my teens and it was a pretty big culture shock. No swanky neighbourhoods, renting spaces on the floor and not rooms, sharing with 20 other people and using communal taps and bathrooms.

But there, at least there was access to better your life and escape the cycle, is what I'm saying. You talk of a time when Kings didn't have computers. I talk of a time when most of the world will live and die without the opportunity to read or write, much less touch a computer.

But there is a mentality at play here for sure. You can't break out without the right one.
Dude I at least know that the things I can reach to matters a lot, like for example no king in history (ok maybe not the kings currenty) that we all heard of in history books ever had access to internet, can you imagine a life without internet?

It is like surreal that we can talk to each other like this, it is surreal that we can reach to any information we ever want, sometimes true facts, sometimes lies but at the end of the day we are talking about something that is quite unique for us. That is why I personally feel like it is awesome and I really want to feel okay about not living in New York or London and I am happy with wherever because I know that as long as I have internet and my computer then I am living better than almost everyone in history ever, even kings. Know that you are luckier than anyone in history even in health stuff, because medicine improved insanely better.
2608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Repeating the price cycle every 4 years on: July 15, 2021, 06:48:04 PM
although there is no certainty that the cycle will repeat itself, but strangely we can see if it is like a habit that continues to happen and in my opinion what happened this year is somewhat worse than what happened a few years ago, I still remember 2018, China too prohibiting crypto transaction activities in their country but it only slightly affected the price of bitcoin at that time, but it is different from what is happening now when the Chinese government banned bitcoin and it had a huge impact on the market and in fact the price of bitcoin even fell almost 60% from its highest price Cry.
I do agree that the drop here in this season is not as bad as the 2018 increase, that was just horrible. We are talking about a drop from 20k to 3.5k and that is about 82% or so drop, whereas this year we had something like 50% drop and that is a lot better. I know 50% is still a huge drop but we weren't 60k all that long, we were mainly 50-55k most of the time and only just less than a week at 60k which means that we shouldn't be even calculating as 50%, we should be calculating it at around 40% or so drop at the very worst.

That is really a lot better and I feel like we should be feeling very lucky to have that this year as a bear run, it is nearly nothing compared to all the other huge drops in the previous years. I do believe that we could definitely reach to a level where we can definitely make it to a level where we are 50k+ again and it shouldn't really take that long.
2609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 15, 2021, 06:18:29 PM
Probably the  biggest mistake that people make when trading, is not learning from their mistakes, i personally have struggled a lot with this, i go in i put a trade i lose it reflect on why i made it and why i lost, i say i won't make that mistake again in the future but i always keep on doing it, sure we can blame it on the uncertainty and the unpredictable crypto market, but honestly we are our own demise and if we are able to conquer ourselves and control our actions, we will have more success.
You are more into gambling than trading then because a trader would never make the same mistake more than twice. I know it's not easy to control your emotions and most of the time emotions lead to losses. I have seen people strongly saying that they will buy more BTC when the market goes down but when it actually goes down, they panic and instead of buying more they even end up selling the coins they have.

At the same time, the market is volatile and it has only been 5-6 years of crypto trading. I know BTC came into existence long back but serious and high scale trading has been only happening for 5-6 years and hence no one has the data to read and understand the market as compared to the stocks market where data is available for much longer.
2610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you run when you fail or loose in a trade? on: July 14, 2021, 08:34:27 PM
We all started from being a newbie and then with such experiences gained, we're learning from those experiences including the mistakes.

And those mistakes helps us to grow more in trading and how to handle such situations specially the harder ones with our trades and being pressured.
Honestly what kept me going this far is that after 8 years of being in crypto and probably been here longer than almost everyone I know, I still consider myself a newbie and that allowed me to profit a bit. Why? Because thanks to this I do not do crazy moves or chase high returns and I just make moves that look "stable" and "risk free" which is non-existent in crypto because everything is risky but I do not go buy 5343th coin in cmc or go 150x leverage on bitcoin, that way I collected a bit of crypto and this allowed me to profit, and more than I imagined as well because crypto is crazy and the prices go up a lot.

This means I end up doing more than what I hoped in crypto thanks to being scared of what I can do, most people are not worried, and that causes them to be brave but also make crazy moves that ends up losing them a lot of money as well.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 14, 2021, 07:16:49 PM
Anyway, Ronaldo's age is not young anymore for the criteria of a striker and even though there are clubs that want his services then I think Ronaldo's price has dropped so yes, it should be able to reduce expenses for the club as well. Forward players over the age of 35 will only be the recipient of the bait or a target and by doing so, it will be easy to turn off the movement. So yes, the era of Ronaldo and Messi will slowly be replaced too, considering also the age of both of them who have entered retirement which will only serve to motivate the team for younger players.
Ronaldo is unlike any other player though, it is just not the same for him. Dude is taking care of his body in a surreal way, how many players can run the way he runs and jumps the way he jumps EVER let alone at his age, and this dude at his age is one of the highest stamina, fastest player that can jump highest and he still has it and that is why he still worths to keep for any team.

The reason why his price dropped is not because of who he is, but because of player who he will be, no matter how awesome he is right now that doesn't mean that he can't go another 10 years, at the best case I am assuming he will be around for another 5 years or so, and compared to other players who will play 10 years that means he will worth less because when you get him, you plan on not selling him to any other team, you plan on retire him at your club, so it is not an investment for future.
2612  Economy / Economics / Re: Green European funds may deal a blow to Tesla on: July 14, 2021, 06:46:19 PM
A significant part of the European Recovery Funds will be channelled towards reducing the carbon emissions. This will include solar energy investments, other renewables but also public investments in car maker´s factories to prepare the massive introduction of the electric cars. One of the key selling points of Tesla stocks is the fact that it was born electric and does not have to spend money transitioning as opposed to all major car maker´s. The fact that Europe will publicly subsidize these changes means that Tesla will no longer have that competitive advantage and that one of it´s moats will be gone in 5 years.
It’s never a surprise, it’s a normal thing that a business would usually get replaced at times. It happens, and we have seen a lot of businesses that were once at the top, and all of a sudden you see one thing or the other take place and then they get pulled back from the top due to a high competition. But there are still businesses that are able to maintain their position at the top by making good plans and taking the right actions by adapting to changes and what’s trending. So, I think Tesla can still stay ahead of game with proper planning and making sure that they keep coming up with new and better ideas all the times.
2613  Economy / Economics / Re: Xi Jinping Beats Crypto, Bitcoin Mine Closes on: July 13, 2021, 08:22:20 PM
It's China's loss though not for the miners. These miners will probably leave that country and find other country who accepts bitcoin mining and probably with safer and cheaper source of electricity. This Xi Jinping guy is not just a bully one but crazy too. In addition, it wasn't new though. In the last 10 years, many regulation against bitcoin was established in China. All we have to do I guess is to stay away from that shitty country.
That is if they can leave the country though, aren't there a citizenship points employed in China right now meaning that the miners might probably have a really big deduction to their citizenship points because they are involved in something that the Party isn't in favor of. And one of the effects of low points is that they might be barred or not prioritized by the immigration to leave the country or anything.
They do not even have to leave the nation, they just need to send the machines to another nation, hell they can even employee other people. So let's just give an example, you are a miner in china, you hire people to run it right? Otherwise how are you going to handle 1000+ machines? So what do you do when china bans it?

You send it to another nation, let's say Iceland, then you plug out all the machines in china, box them up, ship them to Iceland, hire a partner there, he takes care of unboxing all those machines and plugging them in and all the workers working on this, and you get your money anyway. So as you can see you do not even have to leave the nation to handle all of this, you could still do it all while sitting at home, might be making less profit but I rather make less profit than no profit at all. It is still a big loss to china for sure.
2614  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 13, 2021, 06:43:54 PM
Things are definitely changing, but it's difficult for me to really make a true assessment of whether it's positive or not in the long run. I come from what's known as a developing country, but from a state with the lowest statistics in HDI. Invisible because national indicators put the country quite high in the region. I mean, I say where I'm from and people immediately think skyscrapers and rich people and fancy modern living... but my own state only achieved in 2020 50% literacy rate -- so that's a marker I think no one believes when I tell them.

To change that, our young people are venturing out more and more, and getting better paying jobs and going to better paying schools. But I'm not sure becoming better people (at least from a tiny sample of what I can observe). These are also the most likely to be the ones hearing about and getting into Bitcoin -- but not to use them, also judging from the discussions I have been able to observe.

It's better than rotting in obscurity and disease in the middle of nowhere and getting left behind by the world, I suppose...
Unfortunately that is the type of place I live as well and I am not sure if it is getting any better neither but a friend helped me understand something better. I know that when I tell people where I am from people think about places like London or New York, but the reality is that 55% of the population is either working for either minimum wage or not working at all (this is all the people between ages 18-65, so there are many more who are under 18 and over 65 that doesn't work as expected too, hence only 30% or so of the city takes care of everyone else).

Long story short we are talking about something that is horrible in the short term, but what my friend helped me realize was the fact that even while we are doing bad now, it is still better than what we had in history, I mean even the biggest King never had the chance to use computers, so it is still getting better.
2615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s time is now on: July 13, 2021, 12:18:40 PM
Time has shown which coin will be proven as a true crypto currency and it turned out to be BitCoin, not ShitCoin   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
As a capped asset and store of value, Bitcoin is a very promising store of value for everyone.  Smiley

More and more people will buy it and exchange ShitCoins to BitCoins.  Cheesy
It’s a very normal thing, a lot of people prefers to buy bitcoin and especially when the market is down like this, more people are likely to choose Bitcoin and not altcoins. A lot of people starts selling their altcoins when the market is going down and they start buying Bitcoin. And if you check, altcoins usually face more decrease in price at times like this when the market is bearish, than Bitcoin will do. Bitcoin survives more than altcoins.

So, it is not something new to all of us that Bitcoin is mostly a better choice than altcoins. Although that’s not to say that you should focus only on it, because sometimes it can be good to diversify the investment you’re making. It’s really important.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 13, 2021, 11:18:12 AM
What is going on with the Bangladesh cricket team? It sounds like almost every senior player has got some issues with the BCB. We all know the case of Shakib al Hasan. He has spats with BCB from time to time and probably that was one of the reasons why he got very harsh punishments in 2014 and 2019 (when he was banned from playing). Sad to hear that Mahmudullah also faced the same issues. Why there is no protest against the BCB, if they are mistreating the players in a regular manner? I am 100% sure that the BCCI would not have the courage to take such actions against their best player.
I feel like players have started to realize that they no longer need to agree on whatever their board says. This started back when Australian players and the board had a dispute and some might even think that the punishment sanctioned to Warner and Smith was more a gruesome result of that.

The same is happening in Bangladesh cricket and Sri Lankan cricket, I think and to some extent, there are problems in South African cricket too because some good players have left for county cricket and I cannot imagine someone playing county when they have the talent to represent their country, players like Rilee Rossouw.

Shakib was banned because he was approached by a match-fixer and he failed to report it, which I believe was the right call from the ICC or BCB.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: July 12, 2021, 08:48:14 PM
i don't know whats up with them, but they always fail miserably, even some good players couldn't do anything with Arsenal, Ozil was a really good player he helped real madrid a lot, especially with his assists, but came to Arsenal and became an average player, Arsenal need a good coach, and players who can play good with each other, there has to be chemistry between them, and i think a coach can make that happen.
They had a great coach, they had Arsene Wenger who even though at times really had bad years, still had great years as well so I am not sure if that's the case, even a coach like him who would be in hall of fame of managers in history didn't made Arsenal into some long term big name, sure in branding sense it did but that's about it. So I do not doubt that they would be improving with a great manager, but I doubt it would be as much as people assume, give Pep Arsenal for 10 years and he would not be able to turn that team into constantly championship contender, at beast maybe a chance to be top three but that's about it at the very best.

I think it is the front office and the locker room and the staff all that has to leave, the whole team looks like they ruin the chemistry of everyone that comes in, hence why Ozil became not so great as well, because whoever goes there from another place sees the difference of how not so great the atmosphere is there.
2618  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: July 12, 2021, 06:38:35 PM
I understand that there are people out there who still do not understand the importance of bitcoin or why it is awesome, but that is not our job to teach them why it is awesome, I would rather let them not understand the whole point of it really. You know why? Because that means there are still people who did not get any crypto and price of crypto currencies are not at the max, they will eventually realize why it is so awesome and join, and I rather join before they do, I rather buy as much as I can afford before they do the same and that way I will be way earlier.

All those "I wish I bought bitcoin at 30 cents" things are still valid considering people are still not fully involved, less than 5% of the whole world population ever owned bitcoin, that is not including people who sold and now have none, this is total number of people who once had crypto even if they don't know. So, it is still very raw and it will definitely go super high.
2619  Economy / Economics / Re: Jeff Bezos and many top amazon executives leave in mass exodus on: July 12, 2021, 06:00:21 PM
I would say that I would not invest into amazon stock not because the executives are getting out, and not even because Jeff doesn't seem to care as much, but because they are bound to get a lot harsher regulations in the future and a lot more taxes.

The minimum 15% is nothing, literally nothing to them, they have made SOOOOO much money that even if Jeff paid from his own pocket he could have paid the last 10 years tax cost of amazon from his own pocket today, and this is not retro paying, they will only pay in the future, which will be super simple. Sure they may not make five hundred bajillion dollars in profit, they may end up with just 230 gazillion in profit but who cares? They are making so much that it is still one of the most if not the most profitable business in the world. What I think however is that not only there will be even more taxes, there will also be unionization that will destroy the abuse of amazon does to their employees and that is going to change a lot.
Yeah, I am feeling a bit more comfortable about it, does that feel weird? I mean I always hated Jeff Bezos, and as a person he is probably what is wrong with the world, he became rich doing the bare minimum legal stuff while using the loopholes and the predatory moves of business to grow bigger and bigger, he should have been looooong punished for all the things he did. Now that he is getting out, he will still be richer and richer, in fact now whoever comes next will need to be more ruthless because Jeff couldn't fire himself, but whoever comes next will be fired if they show even a slight sympathy towards workers, and that is why it is a horrible thing.

However even with that, knowing that he will not be around in a long time and just die eventually does make me feel better. Even the fact that if I take care of myself very well and do not happen to suddenly die, our age difference means he should probably die before me, knowing that gives me hope.
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: July 12, 2021, 02:53:11 PM
It is highly deceiving and you will not trust a gambling site that does this, but they have to find ways to gain more players and retain players and they cannot do that if players do not see good stats and activities in the gambling sites, they offer bonuses, free bets, and faucets just to entice players to play and stays, new gambling sites are the ones who are mostly doing this to establish themselves.
That is the reason you would notice that most of the gamblers won't follow just any streamer but they pick the trusted ones and watch only limited streams. Yes, it is easy for new twitch streamers to allure new players by offering bonuses and all welcome packages but true gamblers who bet big won't ever play at a casino or sportsbook just because they are offering some small bonuses.

I will not accuse roobet or any casino unless there is concrete proof of the same. But no one can deny that more casinos are indulged in such things than we might ever think. I hardly watch any streamers and watching all these scams happen, I would never trust a new streamer now even if he might be legit winning from his own funds or losing it.
