281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: February 18, 2024, 07:15:25 PM
Privacy is a necessary feature in my opinion, but why hasn't Monero become a main coin?

Regulatory pressures on exchanges have destroyed any hopes of XMR ever being any more than a P2P privacy coin. It’s sad but I understand why governments hate it. Nothing is stopping us from using it, it is great at what it was designed for but its strengths are in fact what has destroyed any chances of it ever going mainstream.
282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 18, 2024, 04:55:49 PM
Scammers originate from all countries, I don’t think it’s fair to try & say most scammers are from Nigeria. Sure there will be scammers from Nigeria but the same can be said about most countries. Just be aware, don’t be naive & give up your personal information online. If something seems too good to be true it almost certainly is.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: February 18, 2024, 04:42:47 PM
The people you saw is very much the minority of the population. For every one of those guys there are tens of thousands who don’t have that much money & success. Try to be happy for what you have, there are a lot of people much worse off. Money doesn’t make you happy, material goods won’t help you be happy.
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the benefit of taking hard drugs on: February 18, 2024, 11:24:33 AM
I was going through some articles and comments on twitter and this question struck me so I decided to bring it up here .
There are some drugs that are quite medicinal and has serious effects on human beings especially when misused or abused . But the idea of people taking high level of hard drugs is what I can’t place my thought on because it makes feel that everything is not normal on them .

However, people go to grave yards to exhume the bones of dead bodies just to collect their bones grind it and smoke it , some will also go to the length of breaking sucker pit just to inhale the substances there for a reason I don’t know . So please I now ask again, is there any benefit of taking hard drugs ?

Presumably you are talking about heroin, crack, fentanyl, cocaine type substance use. People take drugs for a variety of reasons, some people get in with the wrong crowd & get peer pressured into it. Some people have had bad lives & turn to it. Some people like to party & end up doing it. Others may have addictive personality traits & end up hooked after trying it a few times. I have never in my life heard of people digging up dead bodies to smoke bone dust though.
285  Economy / Economics / Re: Step up your game before the game steps you down. on: February 18, 2024, 11:12:59 AM
It’s not just business owners that need to worry about the economic climate. Salaried workers need to worry too, the economy is not doing as well as it has in recent years & when that happens we are at risk of recession. There could be a lot of job losses so it’s a good idea to prepare for the worst. You need to try & make yourself indispensable to the work force. Take up any courses that add a string to your bow.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k possible before end of this month? on: February 16, 2024, 09:51:36 AM
$60,000 is possible before the end of this month but it’d be good to cool down a bit, we don’t want the market to get over heated so we get a halving correction. $500,000 might be a little too high to expect in 2025 but I would be very happy if that happens. $500,000 is 10 x in price from here, it could happen but maybe we shouldn’t expect more than $300,000 in 2025.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USA stockbroker & financial commentator predict that BTC will hit $100k on: February 16, 2024, 08:18:32 AM
Peter Schiff is one of the biggest Bitcoin doubters that exists. He’s been bashing Bitcoin for over a decade, it’s become a meme. Gold has barely moved in comparison to how well Bitcoin has performed since he has been publicly bashing it. If Peter Schiff is finally conceding that Bitcoin is going to 100k then in reality, it probably means we are going to 1 million $ per coin.
288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are children born out of wedlock is still a blessing from God? on: February 15, 2024, 08:42:51 PM
It’s 2024, we are not in the Stone Ages, the acceptance of children born out of wedlock has evolved. Society has become more inclusive & understanding of different family structures. Traditional views still exist but most people by recognise that the legitimacy of a child should not be determined solely by the marital status of their parents. The well being & love provided by parents are crucial in shaping a child's upbringing regardless of their marital status.

290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price of Bitcoin and Ethereum on: February 15, 2024, 08:13:25 PM
Bitcoin is the lead cryptocurrency, it’s the undisputed best coin on the market. Ethereum usually follows the lead of Bitcoin as the whole cryptocurrency sector does. We are all aware of how Bitcoin rolls around its cyclical halving phase, other coins follow it. There are many metrics you can follow to see when it might be a good idea to move some out of Bitcoin & into altcoins to try & take advantage of price increases. Take a look at live Bitcoin Dominance metrics. Overall Bitcoin pumps, so does everything else. Bitcoin dumps, so does everything else.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: February 15, 2024, 08:02:10 PM
XMR is far better than Bitcoin if privacy is your goal. I just worry about the likelihood that it stays around for too much longer. Governments have been relentlessly pressuring exchanges to delist it & most have obliged. It’s so good at maintaining your privacy that its strength is its downfall. It’s great for privacy if your only plan is to use it as a medium of exchange. As an investment or long term hodl it’s awful & Bitcoin is far better.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which psychological stage of the crypto market are we in? on: February 15, 2024, 07:50:34 PM
We’re all familiar with the well known, Wall Street Cheat Sheet. I would suggest the sentiment is somewhere between Optimism & Belief.

293  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 15, 2024, 07:42:10 PM
It’s so hard in the current economic climate, all we can do is try our best. You can create a budget to manage expenses effectively & prioritise essential needs. Think about exploring additional sources of income like part time jobs or freelancing. Try to save money by adopting frugal habits & cutting unnecessary expenses. You can take advantage of government assistance programs & maybe seek financial advice from professionals to make informed decisions.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Bitcoin bull market? on: February 14, 2024, 04:44:03 PM
A Bull Market is a period where prices in assets generally have a sustained upwards price trajectory. A Bear Market is the opposite. Many things can dictate market sentiment such as global events but as tar as cryptocurrency is involved we have long periods when it can be said we are neither in a Bull or Bear Market, we have long Crab Markets which is a light hearted way of saying sideways. For the Bitcoin naysayers, you will soon find out what a Bitcoin Bull Market is.
295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If there was no government to govern us (humans) on: February 14, 2024, 12:50:31 PM
Living without a governing body & laws would not be good, it’d lead to difficulties keeping peace & order. Governments & law provide structure that helps regulate societal behaviour, resolve conflicts & protect individual rights. Without these institutions there would be a high risk of chaos, inequality & exploitation. It’s possible to imagine a world where humans could coexist peacefully without a formal governing body but it’s unlikely to be sustainable in the long run. A system of governance helps ensure stability, justice & the well being of society.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: February 14, 2024, 12:38:59 PM
Most people have a mix of optimistic & pessimistic views about the economy. It’s common for people to be more inclined towards pessimism due to economic uncertainty, personal financial struggles or negative media coverage. Pessimism can be fuelled by a fear of economic downturns & a reluctance to take risks. It’s smart to realise that economic trends are complex & can vary across different regions & sectors. You should always critically assess both optimistic & pessimistic viewpoints to gain a more balanced understanding of the economy.
297  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving the economy with creative thinking. on: February 14, 2024, 11:00:23 AM
To survive the economy with creative thinking you can try to identify new opportunities & adapt your skills to meet emerging needs. This could be learning new technologies or exploring alternative industries. Try to think outside the box & find innovative ways to market your products or services. Consider leveraging social media creating unique collaborations or offering special promotions. Try to cultivate a strong network of professionals who can support & inspire you. Collaborate, share insights & and learn from each other's experiences. Be open to change & embrace a growth mindset, constantly seeking new knowledge & skills to stay ahead.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Is increase in minimum wage a good method to fight inflation? on: February 14, 2024, 10:19:35 AM
Increasing the minimum wage can be a double edged sword when it comes to combating inflation. In one way it can provide immediate relief to low paid workers boosting their purchasing power & potentially stimulating demand in the economy. But it can also lead to higher production costs for businesses which may could passed on to consumers via price increases. The effectiveness of minimum wage increases in combating inflation depends on various factors such as the magnitude of the increase, the overall state of the economy & and the specific dynamics of the labor market. It’s important to consider a comprehensive approach that includes other measures to address inflation effectively.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: keep pleasures without incomes aside and Chase after profits on: February 13, 2024, 01:18:55 PM
There are a few lessons in life that you learn very quickly & one of them is to do what is required to keep your woman happy. Obviously investing & preparing for the future is important but cancelling your wife's anniversary celebrations is not a good idea. Surely you can still buy Bitcoin & buy her a small gift or go out for dinner.
300  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tucker Interviews Putin on: February 10, 2024, 09:52:39 PM
I don’t think you can believe much of what Putin say, much like with any political leader. The interview is fascinating though regardless. I don’t want to get into conspiracy theories but I have also long suspected that certain leaders are just a pawn in the game, a puppet with the strings controlled by others in the background. I can’t think of a more obvious time of this potentially happening than currently with Biden. The guy doesn’t have the cognitive levels required to run the most powerful country in the world. We’ll never know what is going on behind closed doors but I do think Putin speaks some truth there. Fascinating insight into the mind of Putin.
