2981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 10:02:16 PM
I am just trying to know from forum members if there is anyone who has ever had their bitcoin payments from signature advertising get blocked by an exchange, citing "suspicious transaction"?
This never happened to me, but I almost never use centralized exchanges, or when I use them I only use those that work without KYC verification.
Bisq is most popular decentralized p2p exchange that will never ask you anything and it can freeze your coins, but there are many other non-kyc instant exchanges you can use.
I know about people who had some issues because transaction history of their coins had some connection with gambling, but there are always things you can do with coins using address management to avoid this issues.
2982  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 19, 2023, 09:34:54 PM
I tried that in another topic. Conclusion: I'm a bot Tongue Since I'm obviously human, the detection is unreliable.
You didn't say what was the percentage showing text was AI generated on all 3 websites... but some people have been saying you are a bot for years  Cheesy

Based on a third-party tool? I doubt it.
How do you think we are detecting plagiarized text by other members?
We certainly don't have super powers, and I was always using two website to detect source and PERCENTAGE of plagiarism... it worked well most of the times.

EDIT:
Here is one test I did with this post from member Techdev generated by AI (it was later deleted by moderators after my report):
https://ninjastic.space/post/61619530

GPT-2 Output Detector is showing 99.98% that this is AI generated:

GPTZero is saying that text is most likely to be AI generated:

2983  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Must Be carefull about Ledger live Browser Extension on: January 19, 2023, 09:02:41 PM
This is nothing new and we saw scam extensions like this many times before, and only thing we could do is to report them Chrome Web Store, and download wallets only from official websites.
I think it's much safer to use Firefox, fork called Librewolf, or Tor browser to avoid scams like this, since most scam extensions are released for Chromium based browsers.
It's better to keep installed browser extensions at minimum, and maybe use uBlockOrigin to hide phishing scam ads.

2984  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: January 19, 2023, 04:39:58 PM

Grin
Mnogi ljudi žive normalno bez kofeina, cigareta, rafiniranog šećera i kockanja, ali neka probaju koliko dugo mogu bez vode i hrane Wink

Ne poznam nikoga ko voli kavu a da nije ovisan o njoj, by the way.
Znam jednog tipa koji je ne voli, ali ne može funkcionirati bez nje. i stlano traži biljne alternative  Cheesy

2986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs CBDC - Print your own stickers on: January 18, 2023, 04:56:12 PM
Thanks for this link, I added it to my original post.

Kudos for the effort, but I think that ship has sailed. All the mainstream politicians have been bought already and will do what their masters tell them to do. This total control thing has been set in motion long time ago and I don't think that anything/anyone can stop it, expect maybe nuclear holocaust that would reset the things.
Maybe this is true, but I certainly won't give up easy and follow all their crazy future scenarios, because they need 100% of people to participate for this crap to work.
Their plan won't work even if 10% of people reject this change and make up their own economy outside the narrative of WEF and their operators, maybe with Bitcoin, produce, salt, food, and everything else people used to trade before.
I never had negative frame of mind despite all the dark scenarios and prognosis, but people are wrong if think they will be able to use Bitcoin normally after this creeps introduce CBDC to all countries.
2987  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 18, 2023, 04:28:16 PM
I've modified the table based on your categories [kindly double-check and let me know if you need any other changes]:
Thank you SFR10, you are life time savior and this looks amazing, there is no need for any changes at the moment, but I could ask you for small modifications in future Wink
I was not sure about CoolWallet and some other hardware wallets, and there is no way for me to check how connection with smartphones works without actually owning this devices.
One thing I was thinking is adding new section (I don't know how to name it) that explains how smartphone can be connected with hardware wallet, using native app, third party app or using web browser (like Trezor).
Some wallets can use all three types so I was thinking about adding new star symbol only for this category (from one ⭐ to three ⭐⭐⭐) instead of current check or cross symbols.
Or I could just name category app/native/web and use from one ✔ to three ✔✔✔ checkmarks.

2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin vs CBDC - Spread the Word on: January 18, 2023, 04:06:23 PM
Governments and countries around the world are working hard to implement CBDC as fast as they can and they are getting serious about it.
I won't name all individual examples but I will post one website who is keeping track of all worldwide news and status for most countries.
There is currently WEF forum in Davos and they are advertising CBDC currencies that are going to be protected by Interpol, and in same time they announce catastrophic cyber attack, removal of cash payments, and concern about Bitcoin Roll Eyes

One website for tracking CBDC projects is called Cbdctracker and it is showing world map of countries with more information:

 https://cbdctracker.org/

One more CBDC tracker posted by tbct_mt2:
https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/cbdctracker/

What can you do about this?
You can write your local politicians, complain, call them, visit them and demand from them to stop working on CBDC crap.
I also found interesting project called @NoCBDC that created cool stickers that are pro Bitcoin and anti-CBDC in the same time.
You can print out this stickers, share them in your local areas, send them to friends and spread the word while we have time, or you will wake up in nightmare scenario one day.

2989  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Secure Element in Hardware Wallets on: January 18, 2023, 03:29:53 PM
I previously talked about security issues with some secure elements like ATECC508A that was used in older versions of ColdCard hardware wallets.
That was later been fixed with updated replacement chip model ATECC608A from the same manufacturer, but that was also reported to have some issues.
Manufacturer came up with new model ATECC608B, but some hardware wallets are still using old version ATECC608A including Passport, OneKey, Husky and Cypherock X1.

I am posting here sources that shows why exactly chip ATECC608A is not safe to be used in hardware wallets.
This was presented by Olivier Heriveaux from ledger team and it's called Defeating a Secure Element with Multiple Laser Fault Injections, and they are also working on breaking ATECC608B:

Same team worked with Karim Abdellatif on breaking Firmware Encryption of ESP32 devices, and we see this was recently found usage in some DIY bitcoin signing devices and Jade hardware wallet, so it is worth mentioning.

2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTC to USDT? on: January 18, 2023, 03:00:23 PM
Hi! Is there an exchanger of some kind where I can send BTC from Electrum and convert it to USDT, so I can send it to a BitcoinATM at some point? I'm talking about an exchanger without any kind of registrations (other than email), verifications and whatnot. Thanks!
Why would you send USDT to BitcoinATM and pay more fees and mess around with shitcoin wallets, when you can just send Bitcoin directly and get cash?
Some BitcoinATM can ask for verification so I think it would be better if you use p2p trading and decentralized exchanges like Bisq to trade BTC for cash.
Your face will probably be recorded when using BitcoinATM so better be careful with that even if there isn't any kind of official verification.
For best exchangers and p2p trading website without verification check out kycnot.me website.

Good sources to find BitcoinATM near your location:

2991  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Message signing/verification tool on: January 18, 2023, 02:32:24 PM
Is there some tool (preferably an online web resource) that allows for the signing/verification of messages?
You can use Electrum wallet to sign and verify message, in same way like may members did it in forum to prove ownership of their addresses, but it can be used for anything.
Something similar is available with hardware wallet Trezor with using of their app Trezor Suite, and that works with even with bc1 address type, unlike with Electrum.
I think I saw few websites who are offering this online, but I much more prefer using open source software that can be downloaded and verified.

Additionally, could someone point me to a source that would explain thoroughly and clearly the differences between the signing/verification of messages and the signing/verification of bitcoin transactions?
You can't sign or verify bitcoin transactions, since they are confirmed by nodes, so it's impossible to compare that with signing/verification of messages.
2992  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A problem occurred when attempting to sync with the blockchain. Try manually run on: January 18, 2023, 02:25:58 PM
Please how do i get my electrum sync with blockchain?
I have and old version of electrum wallet portable version 1.7 running on windows 11 that i had being using since 2013 till date but after changing my internet modem.
So you managed to update windows os spyware to v11 but you use electrum wallet from stone age  Roll Eyes
Why don't you first update with latest version of Electrum wallet and replacing exe file with one you have on your device?
Using portable version is not recommnded for regular users, and it's better to use other available options or Electrum with Tails OS.

The worst is that i had misplaced my seeds and master keys i only have just the files backed up on my onedrive. I would be very happy if you can assist me sir.
It's very important to never keep any sensitive files on cloud like onedrive aka someone else computer drive!
Misplaced words can potentially be corrected if you have all of them written on paper.
2993  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: January 18, 2023, 02:05:47 PM
According to Coindesk, 196/535 members of congress accepted donations from FTX related people. We all knew that SBF was giving money to politicians left and right, but I don't think that anyone thought it would to this extent. Maybe that explains why they behaved like they were invincible.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of this corrupted politician parasites now become one of the biggest advocates to add new strict restrictions for Bitcoin  Tongue
This is the way how Scam Bankman and people like him do normal ''business'', and politicians are probably even worse.
You can mask every transaction you make in fiat currency by sticking it ''donation'' and ''charitable'' label, and you will get bonus of reduced taxes for that.
2994  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 18, 2023, 12:24:48 PM
Since it can have both false positives as well as false negatives, I don't think it's worth the effort.
It gives you percentage that shows if some text was potentially generated by AI bot or not.
We use similar thing to detect if something was plagiarized in forum and report that to moderators, so I think we can use something similar with AI generated text.
If one member gets repeated high percentage of AI generated posts I think this member should be banned or temporary banned.

Also: what are the odds those "detectors" only use the current AI chat for their own publicity?
I don't know who owns those websites I posted and I don't care who they are, except one that is collaboration between people from MIT and Harvard.
2995  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 17, 2023, 10:05:30 PM
Mycellium lacks basic functionality for hardware wallets: it can't verify the address on the hardware wallet itself, so malware (or bugs) can make you deposit to the wrong address.
Hmmm this is especially important for hardware wallets that don't have support with native mobile applications.
I will have to come up with some rating system, this whole thing is much more complicated than I initially imagined.

Blockstream Green wallet is another wallet on Android that works with hardware wallets (or at least with Ledger and Trezor), may worth adding that to the list too, especially since it's supposed to be open source.
Blockstream Green is not a bad mobile wallet, but I never tested it how it works with smartphone and hardware wallet, and there aren't many options to choose.
I think Trezor is working on their own native app, and onekey wallet app plans to support other hardware wallets in future.

Oh lord, I knew this was coming Cheesy
Sorry SFR, but I always mess up something when I try to act smart to make my own tables  Cheesy
Your examples looks very good, but like I said there are two types of bluetooth connections and one of them is not supporting computers, I know it's stupid.
Basically, we currently have only few options to connect hardware wallets with smartphones, NFC, Camera/QR codes, Bluetooth, Wireless, USB-C cable, microUSB/USB-C adapter.
2996  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Timechain Calendar on: January 17, 2023, 09:42:21 PM
I was wondering if theymos or someone else can implement Bitcoin Timechain Calendar or something similar to bitcointalk forum in some mini version.
Maybe this can be done with some script or browser extension but it would be cool to have this on top or page bottom.
Ideal position for adding this information would be top right corner, since regular date and time are already located there.
This doesn't have to be graphical, regular text would be just fine, but here is my fast rookie example below:

I am tagging @TryNinja and @PowerGlove and calling other members if they can come up with some idea for this.
2997  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase closing my account for no reason on: January 17, 2023, 09:27:33 PM
No reason why, nothing. Is it common? Anyone here also dumped by Coinbase just like that?  Huh
Be happy they are giving you the option to withdraw coins to your own wallet or bank account.
I heard cases of people ending up with frozen coins and closed accounts without any clear explanation, so you are certainly not the only one.
Some exchanges consider gambling, coin mixing and connection with sanctioned countries as high risk, but they don't need to give you any explanations for closing account, it's in their terms.
I would suggest switching to p2p trading and decentralized exchanges like Bisq, to experience real freedom without kyc.
2998  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 17, 2023, 08:17:30 PM
We are pleased to announce our new mixing method.
It is based on swapping to Monero and other mixing techniques.
Can this be enabled with switch from Coinjoin to Advanced, and how fast is this method compared to standard option you offer?
I think you should enable more information about this, maybe when hovered over word Advanced, or something similar.

The minmum amount to send is 0.0005 BTC and the maximum amount is 5 BTC. We take a fixed fee of 2% and this will be the only fee compared to our basic method which takes 0.0005 BTC fixed + service fee.
I can't find this information anywhere on your website, and there is no mention about Monero being used in this process.
2999  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Ignorelist on: January 17, 2023, 07:32:06 PM
I have to add both Royse777 and Poker Player on my ignore list, at least until both of this members calm down and stop acting like spoiled brats.
This can be changed in future, and I don't have any personal conflicts with both of them but they are starting to annoy me with their accusations and personal insults in multiple topics they created.
My suggestion is that all other members stay off their drama queen theater show, because I certainly wont do it anymore.

EDIT:
Both members are now removed from my ignorelist
3000  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: January 17, 2023, 06:50:33 PM
Imate li preporuciti kakvu kampanju?
