2001  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best non Kyc exchange on: April 28, 2023, 08:31:55 PM
I know Bisq exchange is good but you can't trade with it on it mobile app (and not every traders has a pc ) and is not really beginner's friendly.
Best mobile alternative for Bisq exchange I know is called Peach Bitcoin, it's an app that can be installed both on Android and iOS devices, and it works like peer-to-peer exchange.
You can exchange Bitcoin with other people for various types of fiat currencies or you can join live meetups for trading in person.
There are no kyc for this but there are certain limitations for amount of money you can trade, and this is only available in Europe for now.

Good option if you use lightning network Bitcoin is RoboSats, so check that out also.
One more web alternative is AgoraDesk, and there are other exchanges but they don't work with fiat currencies.
2002  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: April 28, 2023, 08:11:36 PM
Sure. I am aware of Coinslotty and its owner from our local Croatian board, and there is a sense of professionalism and responsibility there. If I am not mistaken, he is considering starting a 2nd casino soon. Just to be fair to everyone and neutral, I will add Coinslotty together with some other casinos that were requested and that I find interesting the next time I add new names here.
Thank you for your effort.
I don't know anything about second casino he is working on, but I don't think casino is his property, he just works for them and he is very busy Cheesy
My invitation to people is to visit Coinslotty, register, test how everything works and make suggestions for improving it.
2003  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 27, 2023, 11:49:33 PM
I've followed a pattern (Receive Signature earning and move to some exchange or other address) and I have got some more accounts connected here
Very good research, I know how much time it needs to compile stuff like this.
When you have address connection together with merit connections than something stinks here.
If posts are with similar writing style than case becomes evident, but I don't think we should start giving them all negative feedbacks.
We all know people are using multi accounting here (and everywhere) and this is not forbidden in forum, but it seriously reduces quality of conversations.

This appears to be an attack on a specific region, which is not acceptable.
And you are saying this because you are coming from that same region, right?
It doesn't look at all like attack on whole Nigeria to me, and if there are some connections between some account that should be investigated more, especially if they have similar low quality posts.

2004  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie are wearing avatar in their accounts on: April 27, 2023, 11:32:09 PM
The basic rules of forum us you have to be full member to use avatar in your profile. But I've seen some accounts are useing avatar and their  rank is newbie, jr.member, and member.  we cannot use avatar in low rank profiles .. But I saw those accounts is wearing avatar in there profile....
Let me tell you a secret... all this members you mentioned had a super special time machine so they could get back in time and get this avatars easily, and some members even scored animated avatars  Wink
Joke aside, it's not hard to rank up quickly if you are active and contributing forum, than you can add any avatar you want.
2005  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sinbad.io April Bitcoin Price Prediction Challenge! on: April 27, 2023, 11:24:56 PM
In all previous months prediction challenge time was last day of the month in 10:00 UTC, so it's safe to assume this will happen again on April 30.
Confirmation from @SinBad.io would be nice.
2006  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: April 27, 2023, 10:50:52 PM
Hey Pmalek, nice to see you here Smiley
Can you consider adding Coinslotty casino in your list and check withdrawal fees and minimal withdrawal amount?
I know minimum withdrawal amount for Bitcoin is 0.0002, but I am not sure if they charge any fees for withdrawals or not.

2007  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 15% Discount on the Trezor Model T on: April 26, 2023, 09:24:29 PM
15% discount is still valid for Trezor Model T but I think that this is still way overpriced and I wouldn't spend my money on this device now.

Trezor are now a malicious entity
Sorry but I have to say this is straight up crazy statement to say.
I can be toxic sometimes with my posts, but you are going super toxic right now  Cheesy
Nobody is forcing you to use Coinjoin feature if you don't like, and your addresses will not be known to anyone except you.
Continue using centralized mixers and your addresses will 100% be known to governments in future.
Why don't you complain about centralized mixers? Or there is no problem with them?

Wow, this is really a sad day. I used to like recommending the 'Model One' to people with very tight budget. Even though it has no secure element, I found it good enough for most users and it fulfilled my 'open source hardware & software' requirements.
I am not suggesting any hardware wallets for a while now, because I found negative stuff in each of them.

PS
I am still waiting for a single proof of someone getting censored by Trezor/Wasabi.
2008  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Advanced Paper Wallet on: April 26, 2023, 09:08:48 PM
In any case I found the perfect wallet to gift to somebody, so that they can read all the documents that come with it and spark their interest in bitcoin.
It's far from perfect, it's more like advanced junk and it reminds me on Ballet wallet, but it could also turn out to be a scam.
There is no need for anyone else to have private keys for my wallet, even if they say that key generation is decentralized.
This wallet is most likely not open source and I would never recommend it to anyone, except maybe as risky collectibles item and nothing more.
2009  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 32 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: April 26, 2023, 09:04:03 PM
BREAKING NEWS
I deprecated the Google Spreadsheet and launched a new website comparing 32 Hardware Wallets
Bookmarked!
Very good update and I like left and right navigation arrows you added on this website.
I know we all have zoom features on out browsers, but maybe you could add custom zoom out button mode so we can see all wallets in one page.
There is Filter tab greyed out so maybe you could add more options for that later, based on wallet features and characteristics.
2010  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers on: April 26, 2023, 08:40:46 PM
the starter kit shown below is available for €149 and comes in a fine box with magnetic closure.
That looks a bit too expensive for my taste, and I saw similar much cheaper offers for stuff like that in Europe including hammer.
Here are few examples I bookmarked before and this can be ordered from England and shipped worldwide, they even have kits with titanium, stainless steel, copper and brass.
Lots of cool Bitcoin related stuff on their website:
https://hooe.io/

PS
I am not advertising/recommending this website, so please do your own research.
2011  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: April 26, 2023, 08:32:43 PM
I'm on your side, but to play the Devil's Advocate, those "better services" are like sitting ducks. Sooner or later a S.W.A.T. team is telling them that their front door is about to break down. It's probably why services like WasabiWallet and some exchanges have accepted the trade-off to act in-accordance to government demands.
I totally agree with you on this.
We don't need to have all wallets working like Wasabi, but I will never give advantage to random centralized mixing services just because they look better on paper or because I get paid zo wear their signature.
If there is something better to be made than Wasabi with Coinjoin I am all for it, and I am always exploring other privacy options.
I criticized Wasabi and other wallets before but I am not going for with hunting until I have better decentralized alternative that works.

I was just asking because Wasabi and Samourai have been in a back and forth, name-calling, and mud-slinging "affair" for maybe more than two years. Hahaha.
Looks like that happen often in Bitcoin space, and it's called tribalism and waste of time. Tongue
In hardware wallets that war is constant between Coldcard and Foundation Passport wallet, and between open source vs not open source device.
2012  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [LIST] Wallets supporting Taproot on: April 26, 2023, 07:56:35 PM
Last week, I made a "comment on another thread" about OneKey adding support for Taproot "
OneKey wallet app added to the list.
I tested this app before and it can be used even without their hardware wallet, it is open source and it now looks different from original Trezor app.
There is no surprise for me that OneKey added Taproot support, because they are forked from Trezor that already have this feature.

In addition to that, I found a mobile wallet earlier [Xverse (they also have a browser extension)] that to a certain extent supports Taproot, but I'm having mixed feelings about its inclusion on this thread:
For now I am not going to add this wallet to the list.

Unstoppable.money pushed an update yesterday
Cool.
Unstoppable wallet added to the list of software mobile wallets with Taproor support.
I really like how this app works, it is currently one of the best mobile wallets with mutlicoin support, and adding Taproot support is great.

Add   * in the first post of the Nunchuk wallet.
Added.
Thank you.
2013  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.4 Relased on: April 26, 2023, 07:44:24 PM
One change which caused my confusion was removal of 'Spend from' option, now we have 'Add to coin control'. I think such renaming is really weird, especially after years the previous names were used. I guess many guides must be rewritten now.
That is weird, I don't understand why they made so many structural changes in this release... most of us got used to using Spend from option.
Looks like we need to start reading full release notes before updating new Electrum version in future.

Do we actually need to download the application on the website every time there was an update? Is it safe to reinstall the application every time?
You can check for updates directly from wallet, or update from official github page.
If I remember correctly there was once issue with malicious updates, so it's recommended to verify new download each time before installing.
I personally wouldn't hurry updating Electrum wallet unless there was some critical bug fix, it's better to check comments and feedback from other people first and update few days/weeks later.

2014  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] How To Mix bitcoin free on: April 25, 2023, 09:34:56 PM
Any option for free mixing? due chipmixer is over.
There is new mixer Whirlwind.money available now offering similar donation based fees, and they are active here in forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5446575.0

PS
I am not recommending using this or any other mixer services, so do your own research!
2015  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Projects Visibility (Sig Campaigns) in Bitcointalk. on: April 25, 2023, 09:30:04 PM
Interesting stats for signature campaigns and I hope you will manage to update this on regular basis (easier said than done), but I am not sure if Stake members are all maxing out their posts.
I don't think that number of participants is always increasing visibility of specific signature campaigns, it all depends where and how members write their posts.
@rby maybe you can include CoinSlotty campaign in you list, we started with small but mighty group of people, and soon this should be expanded to more members.
2016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying anything from Japan with Bitcoin? on: April 25, 2023, 09:07:58 PM
It looks like a Japanese Aliexpress clone, that is not saying just the website design, but also the kind of products being offered for sale. Many of them are the kind of things other users would sell on AliExpress. For example, I searched for Nintendo Switch and I got results for various switch parts/titles but dubious results for the console itself.
No it's not like Aliexpress, it has much better quality stuff made in Japan and they are using multiple websites for that, with quality shipping and insurance.
Everything is on much higher level than on Aliexpress, and I can say that because I used both services.
Japan makes much better quality stuff and it's not easy to find this for western people, even harder to buy something for Bitcoin... Aliexpress junk is available everywhere.
Alipay exist because people from China also want high quality stuff Wink

Amazon + any of the crypto debit cards seems like a more elegant solution than this. Sure, you have to deposit money on Binance/Coinbase (I don't know if you have to do that for Coingate too as I never used it) or whatever debit card you use but I would rather chose that and get Amazon customer service which is at the top of my priority list when chosing a place to buy stuff.
There is Amazon Japan included in Zenmarket, but that is just tiny percent of stuff available.
You can also bid on Yahoo Japan auctions, and buy anything for much lower prices than on Ebay or Amazon Japan, I can vouch for this.

Since they are using payment processor, they don't even deal with bitcoin and instead CoinGate does that part for them so in the end you pay with bitcoin and Zenmarket gets fiat. Therefore, no worries about customs seeing bitcoin payment invoice since there is none.
Correct, invoice and prices are listed in Japanese Yens, but there is option to remove all of that and send without any price tags.
Anyone who ever worked with people from Japan knows how precise and accurate they are.

2017  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Twitter account hacked, $22k lost on: April 25, 2023, 08:54:34 PM
As you can see from the screenshots below, Kucoin Twitter account giot hacked last night and attacked managed to get $22k from unsuspected Kucoin followers. Luckily they regained the control after ~45 minutes so loss is not too big, but its still an embarassment, especially since they allegedly had 2FA enabled as well.
Well they have ''blue checkmark'' sign of ''trust'' and because of that brainwashed people are going to send money to scammers without thinking, because thinking is luxury and it's hard  Tongue
It was stupid mistake by Kucoin admins, but I wouldn't say 22k is small amount for 45 minutes of control, imagine the damage they would do if they had 24 hours or more control...
2018  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [banned mixer] - CoinJoin powered Bitcoin Mixer on: April 25, 2023, 08:42:00 PM
Nope, first time here and happy to offer our Bitcoin mixing service. To dispel any suspicions, read the latest posts in this thread 2023 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites
OK, but I don't understand what exactly should I see in that thread that is so special to dispel all my suspicions...
If you are using regular Coinjoin than I see no reason for making any risk when I can use decentralized Coinjoin or Joinmarket solutions with available open source wallets.
Maybe you can explain what advantages you are offering compared to other or create some review campaign in forum.
2019  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: April 25, 2023, 08:34:20 PM
We fully agree with you on the centralization risks, but considering our architecture we might go as far as say that unless we choose to exit-scam ourselves it's pretty much impossible to exploit Whirlwind or take it down.
It's enough that ''someone'' continue DDOS attacking your website and take them down or find your real location.

Clearnet is still down because it wasn't a priority until now, we wanted to finish up all changes on the actual product before dealing with this. It's on the list for tomorrow, and once we solve it we don't expect any more downtime. It's also worth noting that the Tor service wasn't offline at all as it's completely unrelated to the Clearnet server.
I prefer using onion version myself, and we previously saw scammers hijacking clearnet websites and/or replacing addresses for other mixers.

Open-source everything and implement something similar to a Proof of Stake mechanism making the process to run a signer(validator) trustless
That would be nice, but making this open source can be a double edge sword sometimes.
I am not criticizing this idea at all, just stating my opinion and potential dangers of moving in that direction.

Open question for everyone: We could fund some wallets ourselves and offer users an extra option to receive the private key of an address that was funded before they made their deposit instead of withdrawing from the multi-sig after the deposit was confirmed. In your opinion is this something worth pursuing?
That means you and receiver would both have private keys for those addresses?
If that is the case, than my answer is No.

To be honest, I am just not too familiar with Tor.
It's the almost same thing like Firefox browser, but you can also browse onion links with Brave browser (not recommended to be used as replacement for Tor browser).
2020  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ✅PSTNET – Trusted Virtual Crypto Cards⭐️Reloadable payment cardsⓂ️ Review copies on: April 25, 2023, 07:24:44 PM
And so we increase the comfort level of our users again!
The minimum withdrawal amount from a ⭐️PSTNET account is now $300 (instead of $500), which is another step towards the universal payment solution we are striving for.
We work further 💪
What does PST Private means?
Is verification for this cards mandatory and can this cards be used without verification, only with random Name, Surname and Email address?
On your twitter I see that cards are issued in one minute and no documents required, but it's different story on your website Terms of service page:
https://pst.net/legal/tos

https://twitter.com/pstdotnet

Biggest risk for me is that pst.net domain was just recently updated and has connection with some Russian websites.
