2081  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying anything from Japan with Bitcoin? on: May 02, 2023, 02:11:39 PM
oh, I just came across the site and there are a few products that are reasonably priced compared to what I can buy where I live right now. Maybe I'll try to buy it in the future.
but first of all, if you already have a buying experience, can you give me some information about shipping cost and delivery time? How long does it take to receive the item you want?
Sure I can.
There are multiple shipping options available for different regions, and exact fees depend on size of the item/s you ordered.
Great thing that you can order several items, they will pack it all in one box, measure size, weight and tell you exact fees you should pay.
You can also calculate estimated shipping fees manually using their Shipping Calculator, but don't forget to include Zenmarket fees also.

Shiping can be very cheap using AVIA Airmail (Small) if your package weight is less than 2 kg (4.4 lb) with total dimensions are maximum 90 cm (35.4 inch) Length(a) + height(b) + depth(c), and if you don't need express delivery.
Slowest delivery is Surface but it's not always the cheapest option, and there is also UPS, FedEx, DHL, EMS and Zen Express.
Delivery time depends on your location and can be from few days to few weeks.

PS
Note that now is Golden Week holiday time in Japan, so many services don't work as usual.
2082  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [UNOFFICIAL] PeachBitcoin P2P mobile app on: May 02, 2023, 11:45:16 AM
Peach Bitcoin registered official account in  bitcointalk forum and they opened a topic here, so I am now locking my topic and we can move all our discussion there:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448414.0

Thank you for understanding. Wink
2083  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Bitpr0.com | The Ultimate Crypto Gambling Site Directory on: May 02, 2023, 11:40:45 AM
Hey Stakefast!
I checked out your website and I didn't saw Coinslotty casino listed there.
Is there any special procedure and listing fee to show up on Bitpro0 website or you can list any website for free after doing a review inspection?
2084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: May 01, 2023, 09:01:09 PM
Hey guys does anyone know the time when new season of BSFL league is going to start, and are there any fees new members should pay?
I see a lot of guys from our local board are here and I am thinking of joining the hype.
2085  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: May 01, 2023, 08:43:17 PM
Do you have any example of a service that had an actual reason for offering a reward on Bitcoin deposits?
Just about any shitcoin platform that was offering to exchange Bitcoin for their new ''revolutionary'' token that earn with staking, or yield earning platforms with high percentage interest rate that later shut down in 2022.... they all asked Bitcoin to keep it ''safu''.
Nobody is saying you are trying to do the same thing like them, but it makes me wonder how are you going to sustain paying 10% rewards to everyone with notes and still make any profit for yourself.
I am not saying it won't attract some attention, but it can end up very bad for everyone with one small mistake, so again we should trust you and hope nothing bad will happen.
My question is, are you sure you will be able to sustain paying 10% rewards and how?

2086  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: PeachBitcoin.com | P2P Bitcoin Exchange 🍑 #kycfree on: May 01, 2023, 08:19:17 PM
Just letting anyone interest knowing - Peach Wallet has been updated to v0.2.5 (as of 27/04/2023).
Most important thing is they added more meetups and payment options to choose from.
If someone is interested to create new meetup location in their country/city contact them on website meetup page.
I saw they added Keks Pay for  payment option for Croatia, and few other options in online wallet options.

Suggestion for Peach Bitcoin devs... create dark theme option for app please.
2087  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lattice Labs using AI for making posts? on: May 01, 2023, 07:46:48 PM
Please take a look at the post history of Lattice Labs. The user got my attention after seeing his/her replies to some old topics and it seems that he/she is using AI for making the posts.
Lattice Labs made 42 posts just in 1 hour and 20 minutes and I think he/she should be banned.
This should be consider as spamming and deserves a ban in my opinion.
You don't even have to check if his posts are generated by AI or not, it's obvious they are and he didn't even try to hide that.
I am sure he is not the only member like this, but this should be somehow included in updated forum rules, to reduce spam in future.
2088  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal [Legendary] - 4 years passed on: May 01, 2023, 07:19:54 PM
Due to its decentralized nature, this forum provides a fair environment for all individuals.
There is nothing decentralized with Bitcointalk forum, and there is no blockchain voting procedure that would remove ban from your profile.
If after 4 years you didn't receive a positive answer from theymos don't expect to get it any time soon.
2089  Other / Meta / Re: Request: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll on: May 01, 2023, 07:07:46 PM
If the Cybersecurity and Privacy board was added any time in the last 3 months after the situation with julerz12, maybe a post there (such as one explaining and emphasizing that all users should be using Linux over Windows) may have prevented the OP from being hacked.
Highly unlikely that creating a board in forum would prevented anyone from getting scammed (unless he is actually active in that board).
I saw multiple posts explaining how to protect against stupid scams like this, and I have been advocating switching to Linux OS everywhere in forum.
After taking a quick look at Avirunes post history I can see that he is writing majority of his posts in Gambling section, so new Cybersecurity and Privacy board would have literally zero effect on him.
I am not against creating this board, and I would probably be active there, but let's try to be more realistic with your assumptions.

funny you mention seat belts. i wear mine. but not for when i get hit although that reason is a pretty up there. but i wear them mainly to stay in the drivers seat when doing "stupid vapourminer things" like drifts, catching air in the favorite "how high can you get road jump" and stuff like that. as it sure does help still being in your seat to regain control when finally back on 4 wheels. so not sure if thats a good analogy? but off topic so..
Most people wear them just to avoid getting a ticket from police for not wearing them  Tongue
Imagine government and police care so much about people lives, this must be some parallel dimension.
In the same time you can drive buses, trains without seat belt as a passenger just fine, this is like using centralized exchanges that are perfectly ''safu'' for a ride  Cheesy
2090  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: May 01, 2023, 06:56:51 PM
This is a good suggestion. For the sustainability of TalkImg's image hosting, there must be a donation button so that those who want to donate and support the website to continue to exist can donate directly via Bitcoin or other coins. Image hosting requires storage that has to be upgraded when the capacity is full and this will continue, as well as maintenance costs and some other support.
For start adding bitcoin address at the page bottom for donation is also fine, but additional donation buttons are welcome addition and they can include more fiat donations, paypal, etc.

That's not good: This domain is owned by Alibaba Cloud. If they decide to change the URL (be it soon or 10 years from now), all embedded images are gone. It also means you have a vendor lock-in: you can't move to a different webhost anymore without losing those images. I'd say change this while it's still early.
I don't like this, but I think many alternatives people are using today for uploading images are doing something similar.
We can't expect joker_josue to use his own hosting and hard drive space for this, but have you tested how imgur, imgbb and others are handling this?

If images are created after embedding them on the forum, it will still create broken image links. The user could just edit their post so the image isn't shown anymore. It's better to have a delete-button that only works for a short time.
All posts and images is archived so changing links is not doing much, but I wanted to delete image from server itself and stop wasting space for hosting useless stuff.
I know saw some image hosting have temporary image upload that gets auto-deleted after set amount of time.
This is not best use case for forum but it can be useful for something else.

I hope to draw on donations and perhaps accept an advertising banner similar to subscription campaigns if any campaign managers are interested. I just haven't mentioned it yet because I thought it was too early to talk about it.
It's always better to do it now than later Wink
Adding donation address on website costs nothing.
2091  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: My first contest : win a hardware wallet, a steelwallet and satoshis ! on: May 01, 2023, 02:56:03 PM
Very pessimistic  Tongue
It's more realistic prediction based on possible upcoming news regarding Bitcoin.
I could always say 1 million chf or something like that if I want to be 100% wrong, so this way I still have slight chance  to actually win something  Wink
2092  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: May 01, 2023, 02:50:28 PM

Ja sad uglavnom gledam poneki dokumentarac, novi filmovi su mi shit a stari filmovi me ne drže da ih opet gledam.

Nice Smiley
I have one of this devices, and it can have multiple use cases, even as a DIY bitcoin wallet.
Is there a way I can download firmware myself, install them in my device and use it in a same way like you?
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 29, 2023, 09:49:40 PM
Someone posted a link for free ChatGPT in forum so I had some time to experiment and talk with ''him'' and I am not impressed with answers I was getting.
If this conversation was taking place in forum I would most likely report this user for plagiarism, he is just copy-pasting bunch of stuff all the time.
Not just that, he is often very controversial and I proved many times that is is talking nonsense most of the time, so I am sure ''he'' could not play a poker with real people.
However, there is danger in AI development because they can be controlled and instructed by (malicious) people to do bad things, and poker should last of your worries.
2095  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: April 29, 2023, 09:35:49 PM
So that will be the next step will be to better structure the backup system so that everything can be kept online. In this initial phase I am using cloud services to ensure the hosting of the images, and based on acceptance by the community, I will readjust to keep everything safe. As I said, the evolution of the project will depend on how the community accepts it. I want to grow at the pace of community acceptance, because that's the only way I'll be able to keep everything working in a viable way.
Important question I forgot to ask is how do you plan to provide funding for hosting servers, maintenance and protection against ddos attacks? (Ads, donations, ?)
We all know this is not free, and if website grows it will need much more money to keep everything alive.

When uploading, a link is generated that serves to delete the photos. If you save the link, you can do this later. But, in a way, this is what you want to avoid, so as not to generate a post without images. And if the user wants to have greater control over their photos, they can request an account.
I uploaded some images for testing but I didn't notice any link for image deletion... I will have to check that again, and maybe you can make it more visible in next updates.

- WEBP images are not supported by the forum so at this time they are not accepted. I have plans to implement a converter for these cases, but until then it is not possible to upload this format. If you
We now have new main developer and script patch king in forum, so maybe he can make some workaround for WEBP images.
I am taking about PowerGlove  Cool
2096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: On location with broken phone; How to pay? (Bitcoin, Monero, or ectc.) on: April 29, 2023, 09:22:17 PM
Hello everyone, Suppose I want to pay for my consumed meal in a restaurant. But my phone with wallet, (or my hardware wallet) just broke; How do I pay then? Is there a crypto solution that I can still pay? Or is the only solution, that I have to make a verbal promise with the shop owner.
You can always use your laptop or netbook with bitcoin wallet installed for payment instead, but chances of you having all your devices broken is really small.
For people who are saying that laptop is big and stuff like that, there are simple small devices that can be transformed in to DIY hardware wallets, based on TTGO T-display, ESP32 devices, etc.
Last option is paying with Bitcoin notes, paper wallets, or just use cash payment, this is anonymous and you don't need to use any electronic device for them.
2097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All you need to know about the "mysterious" passphrase (Questions/answers) on: April 29, 2023, 09:16:59 PM
This is definitely a good idea! and a different passphrase depending on their interest for example.
It doesn't have to be based on their interests, it can be any random combination of words and it's better to be more complex to avoid brute force attacks.
I forgot to mention that smart thing is to create one or more decoy accounts, that can hold small amount of coins, as protection from losing all your coins from attackers.
2098  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone's using my video as bounty entry without my permission or consent on: April 29, 2023, 08:44:00 PM
This guy Apt2022 is using my video without permission or consent for the Jot Art bounty.
100% of this guy posts (exact number is 154) are junk posted in Altcoins Bounties, so I don't think it matters much if people tag him or not.
I would rate his history as spamming and maybe he deserves to be temp banned for doing this, but some members maybe don't agree with me and this is not mentioned anywhere in forum rules.
Try reporting that post with stolen content to moderators.

2099  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: My first contest : win a hardware wallet, a steelwallet and satoshis ! on: April 29, 2023, 08:32:00 PM
Of course. You make what you want with the price you win. (and thank you again for all the good advices in several threads)
Thank you.
Let me try my luck.

My prediction for Bitcoin on set date is: 27485 CHF
2100  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Kripto debitne kartice on: April 29, 2023, 08:15:20 PM
Interesantna nova kripto virtuelna Visa kartica The Bitcoin Company sada podržava i Hrvatsku!
