I present a new image hosting service, specially designed for Bitcointalk and the entire community.
After a few years of noticing how many images do not appear correctly in the forum or are very slow to load, not to mention the images that stop appearing after a few months or years, the TalkImg project was born.
Great work, but one issue I have with this hosting... what happens if in a few years this website hosting stops working, all images will be gone forever or there is some backup archiving solution in this case? Some of the worst things in forum for me is opening interesting old thread that is full of error images that can't be loaded anymore. My suggestion is to add Delete button, if user decides to delete image himself for privacy or any other reasons. |

My first question is: if I have a wallet and I have the possibility to add a passphrase, do I create a new wallet or is it the same wallet with a passphrase added? (I don't know if this is too clear, probably because this step is not too clear in my mind either).
Passphrase acts like a salt, so it's totally new wallet account that can generate multiple addresses, but it works only as extension to original wallet seed phrase. It is recommended to write your passphrases, because if you forget them you will lose all your coins, and try to make them unique and strong enough. Second question: if you have a wallet to do DCA and leave it to your kids, is it better to add a passphrase or not?
Yeah, if you have several kids good idea so to give both of them same seed phrases but with different passphrases to each of them. You can even give them access to both shared BTC and separate in each account. |

If I want to create different wallets with a mnemonic sentence specific to each wallet from an HD wallet, I have to reset the HD wallet each time (for example with a bitbox) ?
I don't know if I understand correctly, but for hardware wallets you need to reset your device and then import new mnemonic seed phrase each time, yeah I know it can be time consuming. From my research, I think there is only one hardware wallet that enables use of multiple seed phrases in the same time (Cypherock X1), but this device works in much different ways than other hardware wallets. Some DIY devices however are offering very nice fast import of seed phrases with simple QR code scan. I just have to try again to install electrum ... Thank you very much for your answer. (I have problems to install electrum, despite all the good advice, but I'm not very good I think ...)

I know Bisq exchange is good but you can't trade with it on it mobile app (and not every traders has a pc ) and is not really beginner's friendly.
Best mobile alternative for Bisq exchange I know is called Peach Bitcoin, it's an app that can be installed both on Android and iOS devices, and it works like peer-to-peer exchange. You can exchange Bitcoin with other people for various types of fiat currencies or you can join live meetups for trading in person. There are no kyc for this but there are certain limitations for amount of money you can trade, and this is only available in Europe for now. Good option if you use lightning network Bitcoin is RoboSats, so check that out also. One more web alternative is AgoraDesk, and there are other exchanges but they don't work with fiat currencies. |

Sure. I am aware of Coinslotty and its owner from our local Croatian board, and there is a sense of professionalism and responsibility there. If I am not mistaken, he is considering starting a 2nd casino soon. Just to be fair to everyone and neutral, I will add Coinslotty together with some other casinos that were requested and that I find interesting the next time I add new names here. Thank you for your effort. I don't know anything about second casino he is working on, but I don't think casino is his property, he just works for them and he is very busy  My invitation to people is to visit Coinslotty, register, test how everything works and make suggestions for improving it. |

I've followed a pattern (Receive Signature earning and move to some exchange or other address) and I have got some more accounts connected here
Very good research, I know how much time it needs to compile stuff like this. When you have address connection together with merit connections than something stinks here. If posts are with similar writing style than case becomes evident, but I don't think we should start giving them all negative feedbacks. We all know people are using multi accounting here (and everywhere) and this is not forbidden in forum, but it seriously reduces quality of conversations. This appears to be an attack on a specific region, which is not acceptable.
And you are saying this because you are coming from that same region, right? It doesn't look at all like attack on whole Nigeria to me, and if there are some connections between some account that should be investigated more, especially if they have similar low quality posts. |

The basic rules of forum us you have to be full member to use avatar in your profile. But I've seen some accounts are useing avatar and their rank is newbie, jr.member, and member. we cannot use avatar in low rank profiles .. But I saw those accounts is wearing avatar in there profile....
Let me tell you a secret... all this members you mentioned had a super special time machine so they could get back in time and get this avatars easily, and some members even scored animated avatars  Joke aside, it's not hard to rank up quickly if you are active and contributing forum, than you can add any avatar you want. |

15% discount is still valid for Trezor Model T but I think that this is still way overpriced and I wouldn't spend my money on this device now. Trezor are now a malicious entity
Sorry but I have to say this is straight up crazy statement to say. I can be toxic sometimes with my posts, but you are going super toxic right now Nobody is forcing you to use Coinjoin feature if you don't like, and your addresses will not be known to anyone except you. Continue using centralized mixers and your addresses will 100% be known to governments in future. Why don't you complain about centralized mixers? Or there is no problem with them? Wow, this is really a sad day. I used to like recommending the 'Model One' to people with very tight budget. Even though it has no secure element, I found it good enough for most users and it fulfilled my 'open source hardware & software' requirements.
I am not suggesting any hardware wallets for a while now, because I found negative stuff in each of them. PS
I am still waiting for a single proof of someone getting censored by Trezor/Wasabi. |

In any case I found the perfect wallet to gift to somebody, so that they can read all the documents that come with it and spark their interest in bitcoin.
It's far from perfect, it's more like advanced junk and it reminds me on Ballet wallet, but it could also turn out to be a scam. There is no need for anyone else to have private keys for my wallet, even if they say that key generation is decentralized. This wallet is most likely not open source and I would never recommend it to anyone, except maybe as risky collectibles item and nothing more. |

I'm on your side, but to play the Devil's Advocate, those "better services" are like sitting ducks. Sooner or later a S.W.A.T. team is telling them that their front door is about to break down. It's probably why services like WasabiWallet and some exchanges have accepted the trade-off to act in-accordance to government demands.
I totally agree with you on this. We don't need to have all wallets working like Wasabi, but I will never give advantage to random centralized mixing services just because they look better on paper or because I get paid zo wear their signature. If there is something better to be made than Wasabi with Coinjoin I am all for it, and I am always exploring other privacy options. I criticized Wasabi and other wallets before but I am not going for with hunting until I have better decentralized alternative that works. I was just asking because Wasabi and Samourai have been in a back and forth, name-calling, and mud-slinging "affair" for maybe more than two years. Hahaha.
Looks like that happen often in Bitcoin space, and it's called tribalism and waste of time.  In hardware wallets that war is constant between Coldcard and Foundation Passport wallet, and between open source vs not open source device. |

OneKey wallet app added to the list. I tested this app before and it can be used even without their hardware wallet, it is open source and it now looks different from original Trezor app. There is no surprise for me that OneKey added Taproot support, because they are forked from Trezor that already have this feature. In addition to that, I found a mobile wallet earlier [Xverse (they also have a browser extension)] that to a certain extent supports Taproot, but I'm having mixed feelings about its inclusion on this thread: For now I am not going to add this wallet to the list. Unstoppable.money pushed an update yesterday
Cool. Unstoppable wallet added to the list of software mobile wallets with Taproor support. I really like how this app works, it is currently one of the best mobile wallets with mutlicoin support, and adding Taproot support is great. Add * in the first post of the Nunchuk wallet.

One change which caused my confusion was removal of 'Spend from' option, now we have 'Add to coin control'. I think such renaming is really weird, especially after years the previous names were used. I guess many guides must be rewritten now.
That is weird, I don't understand why they made so many structural changes in this release... most of us got used to using Spend from option. Looks like we need to start reading full release notes before updating new Electrum version in future. Do we actually need to download the application on the website every time there was an update? Is it safe to reinstall the application every time?
You can check for updates directly from wallet, or update from official github page. If I remember correctly there was once issue with malicious updates, so it's recommended to verify new download each time before installing. I personally wouldn't hurry updating Electrum wallet unless there was some critical bug fix, it's better to check comments and feedback from other people first and update few days/weeks later. |

Interesting stats for signature campaigns and I hope you will manage to update this on regular basis (easier said than done), but I am not sure if Stake members are all maxing out their posts.
I don't think that number of participants is always increasing visibility of specific signature campaigns, it all depends where and how members write their posts.
@rby maybe you can include CoinSlotty campaign in you list, we started with small but mighty group of people, and soon this should be expanded to more members.

It looks like a Japanese Aliexpress clone, that is not saying just the website design, but also the kind of products being offered for sale. Many of them are the kind of things other users would sell on AliExpress. For example, I searched for Nintendo Switch and I got results for various switch parts/titles but dubious results for the console itself.
No it's not like Aliexpress, it has much better quality stuff made in Japan and they are using multiple websites for that, with quality shipping and insurance. Everything is on much higher level than on Aliexpress, and I can say that because I used both services. Japan makes much better quality stuff and it's not easy to find this for western people, even harder to buy something for Bitcoin... Aliexpress junk is available everywhere. Alipay exist because people from China also want high quality stuff Amazon + any of the crypto debit cards seems like a more elegant solution than this. Sure, you have to deposit money on Binance/Coinbase (I don't know if you have to do that for Coingate too as I never used it) or whatever debit card you use but I would rather chose that and get Amazon customer service which is at the top of my priority list when chosing a place to buy stuff.
There is Amazon Japan included in Zenmarket, but that is just tiny percent of stuff available. You can also bid on Yahoo Japan auctions, and buy anything for much lower prices than on Ebay or Amazon Japan, I can vouch for this. Since they are using payment processor, they don't even deal with bitcoin and instead CoinGate does that part for them so in the end you pay with bitcoin and Zenmarket gets fiat. Therefore, no worries about customs seeing bitcoin payment invoice since there is none.
Correct, invoice and prices are listed in Japanese Yens, but there is option to remove all of that and send without any price tags. Anyone who ever worked with people from Japan knows how precise and accurate they are. |
