301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 04, 2024, 08:31:30 PM

Or it's not the same KD this season? He seems to be making a lot of turnovers and not taking the game. Maybe because he had Booker and Beal. But he needs to step up again and hope that they won't fall in the standings in the West.

Still the same KD but has improved this season, one game does not make people forget what he has done for the Suns this season. The stats themselves will prove that he has improved this season because last season he was only averaging 26 PPG, but now it has increased to 27 PPG.

You can refer below for more information.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duranke01.html

KD is a willing passer and that's why when Booker is playing, he doesn't need to take over the game every time, and they have had success doing that so far. Unfortunately, there has been a problem of consistency in the team since, from time to time, one of them will be injured, just like Booker who was recently injured, and Beal came back not 100% yet, so that has really affected them.

As these guys get older they tend to slack off a little in season.  You will see the guys like steph, lebron, kd all sharpen their game come playoffs time.  KD will be fine and so will the Suns.  I'd be more worried about him if he was getting nicked up throughout the season going into the playoffs hobbled.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's last big rally in this cycle on: March 03, 2024, 07:08:04 PM
With each historical top lower than the previous ATH, I think that Bitcoin tends to consolidate itself in the market and become more stable (than it is today).

I believe that this cycle has great potential to be greater than the previous ones, I cite as a basis the performance of Bitcoin this year, where Bitcoin almost broke 64K USD, almost reaching the ATH even before the halving, this is unprecedented, imagine what it can do happen the following year, which is usually the leg with the highest increase.

We know that this is due to the highly positive moment for Bitcoin, ETH approved, institutional money coming in.

To be honest, I hope I'm wrong and that the infinite highs continue.

I don't think this is the last of bitcoins rallies.  What ypu might end up seeing is people not talking in terms of whole bitcoin but more in units like mBTC.  It's physiological once it hits 6 and even possibly 7 figures.  People erroneously just think it's expensive because of the price per bitcoin.  Who knows but I hope it's not the last big rally too.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery ticket sports bets on: March 03, 2024, 07:04:12 PM
I can't be the only one that does this  Cheesy

When I am bored, I might seek out matches to make a multibet with the maximum amount of matches allowed.
So let's say at stake.com where you are allowed to make multibets with up to 25 match outcomes, you can pick up to 25 markets, even with live matches.

To give an example of why and how that can be interesting:
If you find 25 matches with odds 1.74, then that means your total multiplier would be 1.74^25 which would be above 1 mil. You can bet with as little as 5 cents and if you come true to all of your predictions earn more than $50k.

Of course there's no solid strategy behind actually winning such bets. It's super hard to win any of these bets especially if you put in the max amount of matches. But since it's something you can do with stale as low as 5 cents, not much harm is being done.

What do you think of such bets? Have you ever considered doing it?

I think the longest shot I ever put together was a 15 leg parlay that failed miserably lol.  Honestly I never do anymore than 3 legs in a parlay just too many ways to lose amd be annoyed lol.  Nothing worse then having a long legged parlay only to have one team screw it all up.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 03, 2024, 07:02:18 PM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

I don't think a gambling debt can be passed down.  I could be wrong but that would seriously suck.  What happens in the case where you don't even speak with your parents how would that debt come down to you now.  Same goes with all regular debt that doesn't have collateral tied to it.

With Murray out this is a tough bet.  Denver is still great without Jamal and Lakers have a tough time matching up with joker.  I couldn't decide either way on this one.  I'm actually looking at the over under and thinking on taking the over 227.  It's on national television so lebron is definitely playing and you are gonna see another big night from him.  Haven't seen the lines but I'm probably going to take the over on his points his rebounds amd his assists.  Most likely he will hit on at least 2 of those 3.

You have won your bet if you bet on the over. The line on the total was 230.5, but the total score is 238, so it's a win. Regarding Jokic's performance, he had a great night with 35 points and 10 rebounds, the typical Joker we are seeing who is still unstoppable. Davis could not contain him, and Davis only delivered 17 points with 11 rebounds.

Yep I got the over last night but only hit on 1 of the lebron props.  Hit the over on assists but lost on his points which he barely missed and his rebounds.  Taking a look at tonight I'm gonna take:

Rapters -7.5 at home.  Against Charlotte they match up well and shoukd take this one e down

And I like the Pacers on the road against the Spurs.  -6.5 on the road but again Hali should be able control this game.

Haven't figured out the rest of my bets that's what I got in so far today.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 02, 2024, 10:53:15 PM
Keeping your fiat in banks is not at an immediate risk.  Although I don't like the federal reserve structure, banking will be fine at least the amount that is federally insured by the fdic.  That might change as our economy changes and fiscal policies change but as of now it's fine.  A move into crypto is a great hedge though.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 02, 2024, 10:50:22 PM
I was tempted to throw the Denver Nuggets in there beating the Los Angeles Lakers, but the spread was so close it had me thinking that I must be missing some information about the game (injuries, etc.).

It was really tempting but it looks like a trap. Looking at the injury report of the Nuggets , there are only 2 main players that are not possibly playing.

Caldwell-Pope - Ques Sat - Personal
J. Murray - Ques Sat - Ankle

if Murray will be out, that would be a huge one, and Lakers will be taking advantage on it especially that they have been doing pretty well in their last 10 games which they have a 7-3 record.
Lakers been on a heater and looking to make a push before the playoffs start. No way I would be against them right now. Denver with Murray out is like you said, huge, and gives the advantage to the Lakers.

That's another factor to consider, but we can always confirm if he is really out because, as per reports, he is still "questionable," so is LeBron actually. But he'll probably play, as he can't miss this game playing against the defending champion. The Lakers are really not in a safe standing now. If they want to be in the playoffs automatically, they should be at least at number 6, but now they are at number 10, which will only qualify them for the play-in.

I understand if some would sit this game out. It's just hard to bet against a desperate team that needs a win in every game.

308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Try to stick to your instincts as a gambler on: March 02, 2024, 10:38:57 PM
We've all done this before and have been on the wrong side of the decision.  But there has been plenty of time watching games and seeing how they are playing out would go against my bet and cashed out and salvaged what I could vs losing the whole thing.  I've never monitored if I made more right than wrong decisions but it's gotta be somewhere near the middle.  So I think either way in the long run cashing out mid bet isn't always the wrong thing to do.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 02, 2024, 09:26:59 PM
Crashed and burned yesterday.  Took another 4 games tonight:

Dallas on the road +4.5. I hate betting against clevland at home but think kyrie matches up well and should have a dominant night.  30+ points.

Celtics -11.5 against the sixers.  At home and without embid they look lost.  If the Knicks beat them up with their b squad the Celtics should wipe the sixers tonight.

And I can't believe it but I bet Warriors on the road.  I hate betting them on the road but playing against the Wizards I think they will smell blood and take this one down knowing it's a must win from here on out against the lower teams.  Warriors -10.5

Enjoy the games and good luck!

Nail all 3 last night needed a big night.  The ending to the cavs game was crazy.  So glad I didn't take the money line that would have hurt bad to lose on a 60 foot shot to win by 1 lol.  Think after that they go and route Toronto tonight.  I usually never bet on a team on a back to back but tonight is different.  Taking Dallas on the money line and calling it a night

Figured Dallas would take care of business after that bad loss.

Tonight's games:

Bucks -11.5 away at Charlotte.  Charlotte is just terrible.  Maybe they don't cover but I have to bet the Bucks here.

Can't bet against my knicks usually but how can't I here.  Golden state -4.5 and brunson might not play again.  Topped with 3 other starters out and you have a bench squad who won't compete against the dubs starters.

Last give me the Nuggets-4.5 at home.  Heat on a west coast trip and a tight spread.  Think Denver takes this one here.

Good luck and enjoy the games people.

Another clean sweep making it 6 for 6 last six games.  Skipped last night.

Here's my 3 games I took tonight:

Jazz +9.5 against the heat on the road.  This seems like a low scoring tight game.  They will likely lose bit not by double digits me thinks.

Suns -8.5 at home against Houston.  Suns are just too strong for Houston and pull away late.

And give me the over on that game.  233.5. I can see this one ending to the tune of 131-117 type of game.

Good luck and enjoy the games everyone!
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 02, 2024, 08:39:44 PM

I don't know what happen to Donte though, I mean he has been mic up for this game and most likely him guarding Steph might have something for him to brick in this game. Probably he get tired hm and Hart chasing Steph during the game.

And Steph started very hot in the first quarter. Still a long way to go for the Warriors though so I don't know why the fans are making noises in the social media. The Lakers won as well, so it just negate everything as they are still in the 10th place.

Anything is possible when it comes to the playoffs but I still can't see anyone beating Denver at full strength, maybe okc but they are still too young I think.  Golden state and Lakers problems is that theor best players are on the wrong side of 30.  The NBA playoffs are long and grueling, even if they aren't on the injury report by that time in the year amd lingering injury takes longer to heal and tough to compete in 7 games series.

I definitely agree that the players that both GSW and Lakers have, especially the star players, are definitely pretty old at this point, and that affects the team play sometimes. And the NBA playoffs are a place where you need all your star players available. And these players being more than 30, actually in the mid or late 30s, is definitely a risk. Because they can get injured sometimes. And that can cause problems for the team reaching the playoffs. Right now nothing is certain. If players are healthy anything can happen for sure and there is a good chance as well

Old but could still deliver; it's not a big problem because when they get old, they also gain the experience they need to win. Like the Lakers last season, who would expect they'd reach the WCF after their struggle in the regular season, but they did, and LeBron James led the team to that success. Age is just a number for LeBron, and even Curry, I guess. So these two teams, despite not having a good ranking now, are still going to make it to the playoffs, and these teams are going to pose problems for the young teams they'll face.

Yeah absolutely.  Playoff Bron is fun to watch.  We don't have that much longer watching him so enjoy it now.  The problem with older players though is how fast they bounce back from injuries, with age comes longer recovery times.  One key injury before or at playoff time will crush them.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy to win in this bull run? on: March 01, 2024, 09:52:41 PM
Simple answer keep stacking sats amd sit on them.  Not trading amd just being confident in your portfolio is likely the right play unless you are on some inside group.  Seriously people trade theor way out of profits amd if they just sat on what they had they would increase theor usd value during every bull run.  Keep buying and stacking up.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 01, 2024, 09:50:43 PM
Warriors are hot, they just beat the Knicks at MSG, Steph the high man with 31 points including 8 shots from the three point arc. It seems that it's a different Warrior now at the second half of the season. They are now complete with CP3 back in the game, although it was Wiggins who are out in this game.

Still in the 10th position in the Western Conference, but anything goes here. Lakers are also trying to break in the top 8 of the standings.

So it will be good competition down the stretch for the playoff and play-in in this conference.

I agree they are playing well but as a knicks fan they beat their bench.  3 starters are out and JB is banged up and was questionable with his back leading up to the game.  A healthy kmicks team with julius, OG and big Mitch in the middle is a wildly different game.  With that being said they shot like garbage.  Hart and divencinzo bricked all night.  Hate watching them like this Sad

313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 01, 2024, 07:15:43 PM
When Lakers play defense, they are really good at it but it just doesn't feel too consistent right now. They kept Clippers to 16 points in all of fourth quarter, that's on pace for 64 points in 4 quarters, to show you how amazing their defense at last quarter was. Sure their offense was decent as well but nothing unheard of, but their defense was just insane.

So when Lakers team wants to just lockdown the other team, they show that they can do that, they just don't do in all games and they do not do that in all quarters, they just do it when they want to and some sort of switch comes on and they end up being amazing. I believe that they are going to end up with a lot of trouble if they do not keep that switch on during playoffs.

It wasn't even so much the Lakers but that was a classic lebron game.  When he wants to take over there is little to nothing the other team could do.  Lebron took guarding kawhi personally.  Don't know why but that was playoff lebron that showed up in the 4th quarter.  Will be interesting how much Bron plays tonight on the second night of a back to back.

Ya, they’re saying it was the biggest fourth quarter comeback in LeBron’s career. Considering his age, that’s a bit of an accomplishment. I still say the game would have had a much different outcome if Paul George was playing, but a win is a win. The Lakers seem like they can win or lose at any time. The playoffs will be interesting for them.

Yeah it definately would have been different with Paul George on the floor.  Lebron was so focused on clamping kawhi George would have been key to score in those moments the lead was slipping away.  You normally don't see playoff Bron yet so the west should be put on notice.  Being a 2 or 3 seed and having to play against them is a bad draw.  I'm not too high on the Lakers but containing levron in the playoffs has to be annoying to deal with as a high seed lol.

I've had that happen at a very small scale on scratch offs before where I though I won $10 turned it in and it was fifty.  Those crossword and bingo ones can throw you if you don't look closely.  Not that it compares with something like this but yeah it will definitely brighten your day up lol.  Good for her always like to see people hitting the big ones.

I used to try to trade but what's the point when everything pretty much starts lining up together?  Yeah you might make a little more but the stress on watching intro and exit points as well as the risk of losing more money than with just holding I don't like to anymore.  Just keep stacking sats Smiley

318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: February 29, 2024, 08:18:46 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

In my case, I keep betting on tennis whenever I have spare money on my casino balance from my VIP rewards(Rakeback) after my long game session on live games. I’m not really a fan of sports betting in general but I do place bet randomly on tennis especially the Asian Handicap on live match. I’m always betting on the underdog that already has 1 set advantage to the favorite players. I do this bet just for fun no string attached.

I believe this is the literal definition of “gamble what you can afford to lose”.  Grin

It's funny when I saw this thread I thought yep this is me.  I'm a fan of watching live hockey but I don't really don't watch it on TV.  What I do like to bet on though is the under during live betting.  Taking teams that typically score a lot that have high over unders but towards the end of the first have not scored yet I will nab the under.  Honestly it's worked out more often than not.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 29, 2024, 08:16:23 PM
The answer always is the casinos.  If the casinos are not winning on a consistent basis then they will simply go out of business.  Don't ever kid yourself differently.  What you want to find is a casino that stands by their cash outs and provides an entertaining experience.
