So Bitcoin Forum has no problems with scams being run on their site. Huh Embarrassed

The rules clearly state that Admins and Mods will not remove likely scams. Apart from Ponzis, there are still plenty scams around.

I'm still getting reject rates of 40% at some times, didn't have these issues before. Is this really due to mining of fast altcoins?

Did any of you even try looking through the thread (search?).  He already said a EU server is in the works.

Thanks for the great service, Terk!  I've been mostly pleased by the profits and uptime.  Hopefully it keeps up!

This is exactly why, Terk, I suggest you put up a to-do list and work in progress list. People don't dig the thread.
3323  Economy / Services / Re: goxbot - Professional trading robot platform for Mt.Gox on: February 19, 2014, 05:34:51 PM
Mt Gox is dead. Dunno why you developed it anyway, it's gonna die soon anyway.

Terk, I think you should have a "news" section on the site, and tell people about what is going on, since not everyone digs through all the pages on this thread.

Si tienes una cuenta bancaria, te recomiendo usar servicios como bitstamp.com o kraken.com.
3326  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi world taking over gambling section on: February 18, 2014, 10:07:47 PM
Most this ponzis is marketed as guaranteed money return which is not. We all know that the last depositors would  not see their money again.

I am not a last depositor and I got scammed 0.01 BTC already, by trying one out.
3327  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining setup for light mining?($100 p/month) on: February 18, 2014, 10:05:47 PM
I recommend you build a GPU rig, mine altcoins, and convert to BTC.
3328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange?! on: February 18, 2014, 09:59:39 PM
Also, kraken verification is quick, and they only basic info and an address proof.

3330  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Are BFL Cloud Mining contracts already being served? on: February 18, 2014, 09:54:23 PM
I am sorry to hear that. Did someone ever turned on profitable dealing with BFL?

I'm not completely sour with BFL. They did start the whole thing with ASICs and FOR SURE, those who got their units early made out like BANDITS!!!!!
But most didn't and lost a ton of money.
Enjoy the experiment.

IAS

Yep. BFL is the oldest ASIC company, and probably one of the ones with worst reputation.
3331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sent 1.5M DOGE to DGC address on BTER.COM on: February 18, 2014, 05:31:45 PM
Happy epilogue to an imbroglio

freeworm, the BTER representative on this forum, just announced me a brief (but oh so relieving) PM: Processed!!

The BTER-team has recuperated the DOGE that I had mistakenly sent to my DGC address. They have performed the fix (specified in OP) on their wallets and sent the DOGE back to my account. I couldn't help letting out a howl of joy at my office desk at work.

My DOGE have been in limbo for close to a month and not a day had passed by where I had not thought about them with a sense of remorse and guilt. I had lost them at a time when BTER and the whole "Middle Kingdom" were preparing the Chinese New Year. If I was not aware before of the importance of that festival in China, now I know it is much more important than our own New Year celebration! The festivities in China last for over a week, during which hardly anybody works! My requests and supplications met a Chinese wall of rebuttal. After a first wave of frustration and anger, I realized I had  the wrong approach and state of mind. After all, I didn't want revenge, I wanted my coins back. I understood that I had to be persevering and patient.

So here we are, close to a month later, and I'm a rich shibe again. BTER has generously declined any kind of reward. I will give the reward I had offered them to some initiative on http://foundation.dogecoin.com/.

I would like to warmly thank the BTER support team and freeworm. They have now also separated the DGC and DOGE wallets by a safe distance on the user's balance sheet, so it is much less likely that someone else will make the same mistake I made. Other than this regretful episode, I had always found BTER a more responsive and user-friendly exchange than the others I had been using. I will continue to use them as my platform of choice. I had never encountered the usual quirks I met elsewhere (endless deposit and withdrawal times, negative balances, ... - you know who I'm talking about Wink )

I've exchanged messages with somebody who was in the same situation as I was but on another trading platform, Cryptsy. For the moment they have refused to help him, but I hope that, inspired by this precedent set by BTER, they will change their minds and offer this user the support to which he is entitled.

Thanks again to BTER and also a big thank you to warmking who has interceded for me in Chinese.

Well, congratulations! But just to note, they gave it back when prices are now low and doge forking and block having... -_-

You keep your private keys on a VM? BRILLIANT. Obviously you can't be trusted with any amount of Bitcoin in that case.

Good rating there!
3335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 17, 2014, 07:48:21 PM
One question, why my "Last 24h Profits" drops every few minutes. It's average or what? When I look at 1st time before 30 minutes I got 0.0533, before 15 minutes I have 0.52300 now I have 0.05185668 BTC etc... I tough that earned profit amount need to be stable and awarded only with new and new payouts confirmations, not dropping over time!?!?

Basically, as time passes, the pool's earnings change, just as in its BTC/MHs/Day average. The same will happen to your earnings.

yeah my wmware go wrong

Let's use our magical brains.
First, you are asking for a loan to a new address. Why?
Second: Prove that you own this address: 1KLYEXnXacCeL9b4KbfQqSxyAhZS6bXXH by signing a message.
Third: You MUST provide some collateral.

So Terk... When will difficulty 256 be up?
3339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 16, 2014, 04:41:16 PM
so no-submit-stales should be false?

the thing is that on a regular pool without coin switch, my reject is bellow 1%, here i just tested again and got average of 8%.

on waffle now its bellow 1% (but waffle seems very unprofitable so far, havent tested for long, that sucks), i want go back to clevermining.

please set difficulty like waffle, when you can choose from 16 to 1024, it would be perfect

Waffle's choice starts at 64, not 16. 16 Would bring too much load om the servers I guess. As soon as clever will give this option to set a fixed diff I'll be back.

It will have an automatic vardiff of 16-1024.
3340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 16, 2014, 03:30:58 PM
With a diff of 512 and these fast coins my reject rate is getting too high. Pity, but at the moment switching to waffle.

Same here. Waffle i can set the difficulty from 64 to 1024, better for me, I got a 320 kh/s rig, a 720 kh/s rig and a 1470 kh/s.

Is there any specificy configuration for auto-switching pools?
like, no-send-stales? any way for the cgminer to continue the block and send even a delayed block to the server and get no rejects regarding the coin switch?

thanks,

Please take note that stale shares are still paid. The 512 diff will be changed to 256 soon, and vardiff will be back up soon.
