341  Economy / Gambling / Re: Social Dice Provably Fair seeding event - BetKing.io on: July 14, 2016, 08:30:44 AM
Guess an extra quote won't hurt. Current block #420661.

Hi

We launched a new community dice game, Social Dice, at https://betking.io a couple weeks ago and it was pointed out by RHarver that it wasn't actually provably fair.

He kindly said we could use the same method he uses at Bustabit to ensure our multiplayer game is provably fair. We only changed it a little.
You can read more about it in his thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=922898.0

It works like so:

1) We generated a chain of 5 million sha512 hashes starting with a server seed that we randomly generated. So we take the sha512 of our server seed and then we take the sha512 of this hash and so on 5 million times.

The sha512 of the final hash is:
A86FE6011E456DDEF66FCAD16A16EA063746A718D7542B5C50C362D1D9792F4C458E4C71DD8F87D F5F8BB4679304671AC9B1E60FC089F4CA745437AEB897646F

Posting it here means we can't pick a different chain in the future.

2) The final hash will be the hash of the first server seed used to generate a roll in the Social Dice game. We will then use the previous hash in the chain for the next round and keep playing through these hashes in reverse order.

3) So far we have only generated a chain of server seeds and that could allow us to choose a chain that favours a certain outcome so to make sure we can't do that we also add a client seed that we don't have any control over. The client seed will be the block hash of a Bitcoin block that is not yet mined, block 420731.

This server seed and client seed are fed into the exact same roll calculation method that the regular dice game uses.

I will update the provably fair help page on BetKing to detail this change and give code you can use to verify your results.

Thanks again to RHarver for giving permission to use and to Dooglus, Eric and Steve for their work developing the method which is detailed here

342  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Primedice] Beware Guyz, Scamming HR!!!!!! on: July 13, 2016, 02:22:18 PM
Am surprised that idiots like nlco and the rest aint saying anything about this.
I am wondering who that "nlco" idiot is.

Anyway, Stunna said "More to come" in his last update, so I personally simply wait for that first.

Actually I have been following this thread since start too, very curious about the outcome just like you. I just didn't see any reason to write 18 replies in here making mixed accusations ("OP is scammer", "PD is scammer", ..) without hearing the "investigation results" and full context first, especially since he at least got 40 coins already (so taking a little bit time to investigate before processing the other half seems fair to me.)

Max win = 5% HE. So normally if kelly=1x it means 5% of BR could be lost in 1 bet on a 5% HE bet. Currently the avg kelly of the investors is 2.2x so that is around 11% of BR which seems to be correct with your 6 / 60 BTC post.

Note that with a 1% HE bet (like most other sites) the max win is only 1.3 BTC.

Hey NLNico.

I just noticed the solvency stats are broken for Just-Dice on your site.

The address changed a while back. The coins are now stored in xJDCLAMZ3Y7L5XQBfW85dY8SoKWLgovNtZ (usually about 20k) and xJDCLAMZreM6ZzJJ28kh5uYnT7ToCPGywr (about 1.4 million). These links should show you the current balances.

We have excellent poker room and marketing staffs, we just didn't let them do their jobs properly until now. That is all part of the changes that started with the rake reduction. We botched the Krill Roll, now we're making that right. It all starts now.
Yeh, last message from you guys on this forum was like 8 months ago Tongue

Basically just posting in this thread few times a week should help already and is almost free. Just like "WearsMyLiberty" used to do. Sometimes when he posted info about some GTD, it actually triggered me to play some tourneys. So if you keep posting updates here about GTDs (and show it has overlay/free money for example) and other info.. it might "trigger" some more people to play.

Thank you Seuntjie for taking the time calculating them and helping to respond.

I did a recheck myself but everything looks fine. % ownership change in accordance to the kelly, however:
1) Remember that if you invested a large amount, your investment will change the amount virtual bankroll itself
2) Take a look at the loading bar above the site, make sure it is completely loaded. The site needs to download the latest amount so it can calculate your % correctly

The numbers are still off like they were before. Right now the actual bankroll 57.8 btc. So assuming average kelly at the site is 1.36x as Seuntjie suggested, the virtual bankroll is around 78.6 btc.

So my question is what percentage of the bankroll will a 1btc 2x kelly investment have in a 78.6 btc bankroll?

Here is what I calculate using Seuntjie's formula (your total invested (1btc)* your kelly(2x))/virtual bankroll(78.6btc)*100 = 2.54%. Can someone please confirm this?

Quick way to calculate the virtual bankroll is by looking at "max win" on SafeDice and multiply it by 20, so currently: 7.8739*20= BTC157.478. Other than that the calculation is correct.

(It's 20 because max HE for that max win is 5% and you get the virtual BR by making it 100%, that's why on most sites with 1% HE you would get the virtual BR by multiplying the max profit by 100x)

I don't think it is a pocketdice.io clone, it brings something new to the table with a Russian Roulette game, which I found very interesting and cool.
Open both sites next to each other. It is an obvious clone despite making it "russian roulette" instead of dice. Obviously the code is different. It's about the ui+visual design/provably fair method/text/etc.

Anyway, that's their choice. It just looks always cheap to me and therefor more sketchy. Although I don't trust most new sites anyway.

It also does have a way to verify if bets are provably fair, so I don't know where you're getting your info from.
Just because there is a way to verify some hash, doesn't mean it is provably fair. See this topic from 1+ year ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077905.0  I also made a more simple explanation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703265.msg15115541#msg15115541 Both PocketDice and BitPistol are not really provably fair. PocketDice also acknowledges this and is planning to add a better provably fair implementation "soon".

We thought of what you told us about the provably fair system issue and we got one solution that you might find interesting. What if we use current server timestamp as a random seed for generation of array with initial numbers, and use it together with the array and server seed to make public hash. (Public hash=server seed+timestamp+initial array (generated by using timestamp as a random seed) ). After the round is finished, we reveal timestamp together with the other necessary data. What is your opinion about that?
That would be equally bad or potentially worse.

Anyway, you should just implement the nonce-method described on my site: https://dicesites.com/provably-fair Then instead of getting 5 characters of the "result hash" you can just get the first character. Check if it's 1-6 and make that the result (if not go to next character.) Pretty sure this would work and is the easiest solution.

Obvious pocketdice.io clone. Personally I would always be careful with clone sites. In addition pocketdice.io is not provably fair and since this site copied their method, this site isn't provably fair either.
354  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best casino site to invest? on: June 28, 2016, 12:29:34 PM
Statistically BitDice is the best for investments as we are less than expected in profits Smiley So mathematically we should normalize ( gain our lost profit ).

Regards,
Alex.
I hope this is a joke? :p Classic gambler's fallacy.
355  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: Fun-casino - online Bitcoin casino. on: June 28, 2016, 08:33:54 AM
.. the maximum payout amount is 5 BTC. Withdrawal of higher amount will be paid in installments.
Wait.. are you seriously saying withdrawals above 5 BTC will be paid in multiple installments?

A day extra delay for big withdrawals to "check everything" is fairly normal. But installments.. you really mean installments??
356  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: June 28, 2016, 03:53:58 AM
Could you list some sites that didn't make the cut on your site, but are on the fringe? For example, a site like Bitvest. I'm looking for some more investment options outside of the sites you have already listed.
On new version I will probably add (not all invest-based btw): crypto-games.net, bitinvest, bustabit, luckybit, pocketdice (if they finally fix their PF method) and maybe others. Most of these (and some currently listed) will be hidden by default with some filters. So new visitors see only the "most popular dice sites" while "advanced users" can see more sites.

Hi, you can use my site https://dicesites.com to see the statistics of several sites and see which one is most interesting for you to invest in.

Remember though: trusting the site owner is always the most important criteria. The site owner can steal your money any time when you are invested (even relatively smaller amounts without you even noticing.)

360  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: June 28, 2016, 02:12:55 AM
Which one? It is supposed to list every site that has at least 10 BTC wagered - which is basically nothing.
Just curious on how this one was added on the list.

It's actually:
- if wagered 10+ btc
- if profit more than 1 btc
- if profit less than -1 btc

Since the profit is relevant for investors.

I assume there is a bug when that MP app gets more than 1 btc (like that example 1.7) and then doesn't get "de-activated" (nor updated) when it goes below 1 btc again though hehe (:
