1341  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seals With Clubs Questions on: August 31, 2014, 08:45:21 AM
Bankroll-management (BRM) is very important at poker. I am not a cash player, but AFAIK:

- you should generally get max buyin at the table
- you should have like 25 max buyins so in a bad beat you don't lose too much

Generally the max buyin is 100 big blinds (BBs) so you need 2500 BBs.

So 0.05/0.10, max buyin is 10 (100*0.1BB=10) so 300 chips is 30x the max buyin. Looks good to me! Smiley

BTW, BRM is mostly meant for winning players so you can handle bad beats and the variance. If you are just beginning, not expecting a profit and just want to have some exciting fun, you could play higher stakes than that. If you want to take it seriously and be profitable, you should stick to some proper BRM Smiley

Deposit takes 2 confirmations.

I ran up the free 0.002 of the "rain" to 0.08, not too bad :p just added the 0.08 to my investment.
1343  Other / Meta / Re: Can I report for thread merge ? on: August 29, 2014, 11:41:08 AM
I do this from time to time. AFAIK merging doesn't really happen that often though. But my accuracy is still 98% after almost 300 reported, so good enough I guess. Also the admins/mods said multiple times they don't really care about incorrect reports as long as 60+% is correct, because it helps them anyway.

However, besides that I would be very interested too in what some moderators think about merging threads in general (besides that specific example.) It also happens quite often with "new news" (especially if it's posted in multiple forums like Press, Speculation, Service Discussion.)
1344  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Faucet - Makes $100/day from Ads! on: August 28, 2014, 02:13:11 PM
I would assume the biggest risk is getting your account blocked for suspicious click activity, especially on a site where you give away money/bitcoins. Adsense is pretty known for that. Then again, if everything gets verified I guess the price is pretty low so could be worth a risk for some.
1345  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 5500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: August 28, 2014, 11:16:08 AM
Rationally.. shouldn't he want him to win on PD and to come back on DB? I doubt investors are happy he lost at PD, that makes no sense at all.

Besides that I think you shouldn't say things like that as a dice site owner. On JD I always saw Deb telling ppl that were winning that they should stop playing while having profits and empathize to ppl who lost. I am pretty sure she (or Dooglus) would not "laugh" at people who just lost 120 BTC, even if it's at another site, and imo a dice site owner shouldn't.

But of course he can do what he wants, freedom and all.

I like how you people copy-paste for trolling!! it says llove, not i love. reason for that is because one guy, which his nickname is llovealicia(as you can see in part of the screenshot) asked, what happened to AK. And i answered him, 'llove , he lost'. Of course the way you present it implements something completely different, and i wonder why. I hope AK will be ok, he lost a ton of coins.

P.S. People who hang on chat they can tell if im polite with any kind of players! I even encourage people to stop when they ahead.

I am not trolling and that was not even my screenshot but it seemed real enough to share it here (although I even actually asked if that was real.)

I was wondering why there was no space between the "I" and "l", but I indeed see the other user's name only now. I missed that the first time I looked at it and I indeed do not hang out on your site to know all of their names. But I agree, the first comment is not bad at all.

Still not sure about the replies "lol" and "karma is a bitch :p". I don't see how it is karma in the first place.

Anyway just my opinion, if you think I am a troll that's fine too :\ I guess it's not that terrible since you didn't really type "I love he lost" although that is some unfortunate replying, "@llovealicia: he lost" would have been more clear. But can happen I guess and probably the chat-regulars do know you were replying.

Edit: manl has advised me to stop playing before I lost in the past.

"I don't want you to lose and start hating the site"
Ah k, that's indeed one of the things I mean so that's good to hear.

Wow is this real? "Ilove he lost", "lol", "karma is a bitch".. that some proper etiquette as a dice site owner :\

1348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: August 28, 2014, 05:24:31 AM
So this China mining operation is good for "perhaps 5%" = ~10PH (so probably bit less?): http://www.thecoinsman.com/2014/08/bitcoin/inside-one-worlds-largest-bitcoin-mines/ That is pretty big, for example, they pay 1 million dollar a month for electricity.

PBmining has 1/5th of that. That is still a very serious big operation. Why can't we get any photos?

Does anyone has a source of the claim they are "now" operating in Iceland? I am unable to find that in any of PBmining's posts. If that is true, I find it very hard to believe they can easily move an operation that big to another country across the ocean. If PBmining is really the one that claimed they moved to Iceland, I am assuming it's a lie (if they are really mining.)

I am also wondering what the source was of that Eligius payout address. Because if they did get 300 BTC from mining on Eligius, they obviously do have some kind of serious mining going on.

I was able to do a background check on the owner and I do see he was legit in selling some relatively smaller stuff including miners, his internet history goes back 15 years too, so doesn't look too bad. But this is a much bigger operation obviously. Even though I cannot find any proof of PBmining being a ponzi, there are still many things that raise questions.

edit: or look at this China mining operation, good for "only" 575 Th/s (PBmining is 4x bigger than this): http://www.thecoinsman.com/2014/08/bitcoin/inside-chinese-bitcoin-mine/
1349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to monetize a facebook group on: August 27, 2014, 01:28:40 PM
I am not a Facebook expert, but I thought you can only post posts "as page" and not "as group"? You can only recommended things/companies as "the admin of the group" but I doubt anyone cares? (I mean, if the company itself posts in your group the exposure would be the same? - Of course you can delete other ads, but yeh.)

Of course a group does have a "pinned post" so you could put an advertisement there, although I don't think that's really great. You can also put some links at "About" info, but again I don't think that's very effective for an advertisement.

I would say just enjoy you have a group of Turkish BTC fans on Facebook so you can have nice discussions and stuff. Perhaps it gives you an advantage for an own product/site which can be interesting for Turkish bitcoin users.

If you do think you can put ads there, I would definitely try the Auction forums. Just understand your target group. IMO it should be at least a company that is active in Turkey or specifically targeting Turkish BTC users.
1350  Economy / Gambling / Re: PRCDice.eu + provably fair + Leaderboards + Rainbot + INVEST + PLAY + CHAT on: August 27, 2014, 09:26:50 AM
There's now an affiliate program. You can earn Bitcoin for referring people to https://prcdice.eu

See this page for more details https://prcdice.eu/info/affiliate

You can refer people using the:
link https://prcdice.eu?af=username
where username is your Pocket Rockets Casino account username.

Don't you think 1% of overall loss, very low affiliate commission.
Some site giving 0.1% to 0.2% of overall wagering.

House edge is 1%, commission 10% of that. So site only earns 0.1% of overall wagering (if there is no variance), impossible to give all of that or even double. Only way to make that sustainable is if the house edge or commission is more, or if there is no investment method and the house earns all the profits. Current affiliate commission seems fair to me.
1351  Economy / Lending / Re: Needing .02 btc to place order tomorrow on: August 27, 2014, 06:03:38 AM
No.

With your first post being a "loan" request, you will not get a loan, no matter the amount. Also we might have different interpretations of "recent" but according to my graphs the price have been swinging around 500 for almost 2 weeks now.

If you have any alternative coins or something, you might be able to offer collateral.
1352  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: August 26, 2014, 12:16:23 PM
No.

Seals is bitcoin only.

I have seen similar questions about alternative coins before and Micon literally said "never".
1353  Other / Meta / Re: Been Pissing me off lately, anyone else? on: August 26, 2014, 01:55:26 AM
I agree with haploid23. Generally I think the forum policies are pretty good. And I understand that bumping or even crapcoin giveaways are not allowed. I can agree someone giving away 1 LTC to each person shouldn't be allowed either because of the rules, but a 30 day ban seems a bit drastic. A warning would have been sufficient imo.
1354  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gamblers, be careful with Coinbase! on: August 22, 2014, 02:32:34 AM
I think they currently only use basic tactics, like tracking only big known withdrawal addresses. I am pretty sure that "anonymous" sending option of blockchain.info is more than enough to hide the gambling withdrawal. However there used to be like a 1% fee on that.. is it free now? Also I am always wondering: if everyone start using that, in the end the inputs could be of another gambler? Tongue Anyway, just using a random address in between (and create a new address for each withdrawal/deposit) is probably already enough to cover it, but obviously we don't really know for sure yet (so don't blame me if that isn't enough Tongue)

Considering another "exchange", which might be cheaper anyway, could be an option too Wink

Ps, an account was also blocked after a pocketrocketscasino.eu (PRC) withdrawal (or deposit) but the guy put "PRC" as reason for sending/receiving bitcoin. So slightly unrelated to this topic, but yeh: don't mention you use gambling websites to them :>
1355  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 3900+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: August 20, 2014, 04:24:43 PM
Imagine at first:

Bankroll = 100 BTC, you have 10 BTC which is 10% of total. Now investors lose 10 BTC, so you lose 10% of that = 1 BTC.

Now:

Bankroll = 4000 BTC, you have 9 BTC which is (only) 0.225% of total. Now investors gain 30 BTC, so you win 0.225% of that = 0.0675 BTC.

Site is up 20 BTC. You are down 0.9325 BTC.

(just an example, obviously)

Confirmation from another site than Seals or Betcoin:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2e2yxr/beware_coinbase_is_banning_accounts_that_play_on/

Quote
In the last day we have had players who found their Coinbase account closed because they withdrew coins from SatoshiBet.com to their Coinbase account.

We heard similar stories from other gambling sites (Seals with Clubs, Betcoin, ...)

Switch to Blockchain.info folks.

SatoshiBet processes withdrawals from a wide range of addresses, and not necessarily from a single hot wallet. Although it is possible that sometimes part of a withdrawal comes directly from the hot wallet.
1357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I buy BTC in a simple and fast way from Europe? (credit card?!) on: August 20, 2014, 06:12:47 AM
I think Kraken is fine. But yeah SEPA deposit will take 1-3 business days.

Like Rannasha says, credit cards (or paypal) are almost never accepted or possible because of the high amount of charge-backs.

In The Netherlands there are some ways to buy instantly bitcoin, like www.bitonic.nl This is because we have a online payment system called iDeal which is connected to all the big Dutch banks and works actually pretty good and doesn't offer charge-backs.
1358  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 3000+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: August 20, 2014, 05:14:02 AM
Now back on topic: with the player loss/profit removed from display, and site profit equal to player profit * -1 (if I understand the latest changes correctly) I though it would be easier to figure out what's going on. But now I'm as confused as ever. I invested at the very beginning and my profit is still negative. However the site is showing up by 12 BTC. What does that mean?
It probably means that you made a loss when the bankroll was still small (so you had a relatively big % of the bankroll and therefor made relatively much losses) while now the bankroll is bigger so your part of the bankroll and therefor profits are smaller.
1359  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gamblers, be careful with Coinbase! on: August 20, 2014, 04:14:10 AM
Re Moneypot: I assumed the "multiplier increases" as more players bet and "crashes" as no players bet any more, aka a ponzi. But looking more into it, it seems the "multiplier crash amount" is predetermined in a somehow provably fair way, so I guess that is not too bad, and definitely not a ponzi.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mixing Services: Linking Inputs to Outputs? on: August 20, 2014, 04:00:12 AM
I never used a mixer either, but according to https://bitmixer.io you can put 1) several "forward addresses" 2) put different time-delays for each of them. So yeh, pretty much what you said Wink

Perhaps not all mixers offer this though (and perhaps there are better alternatives than bitmixer)
