What is the meaning of 'Height' icon?
Maybe someone could explain in detail what are all these icons? Some are easy to figure out but some not (for a noob in mining like me)..

EDIT: Do I mine with this local client?

I see u connected to my node. Open "Recent blocks" to see if u r mining.
I am!

Tell me your address so I can send you 100Nxt for tip & testing...

I managed to run the client locally - I get the following though:

Holly f@ck BCNext, appear somehow to help here -
Come-from-Beyond is fighting alone... Undecided

He won't appear. Just like Satoshi. But I'm not going to be a 2nd Gavin, so u better to cooperate themselves.
Satoshi did not left the project in a stage like this  - I think this is more messy...

3529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: November 24, 2013, 11:50:24 AM
Where do I type that?

In command prompt.

I've never used command prompt, I don't even know how to open it to type things in (on a macbook).  There needs to be a way to download the file so it can just be opened with a double click like other software.
Type 'Terminal' in spotlight.
Use cd command to enter the same directory where the Nxt.zip file is stored.
Then use the command "java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt"

What is your OSX? Do you have latest JRE?
I don't know what cd command is... can you give an example?  I'm on 10.6.8.  I don't know if I have the latest JRE, I had to google what that meant just now.

There's going to be lots of people who aren't comfortable with using command line, a simple one click instal is going to be needed sooner or later.
Don't waste your time then it's a pain in the ass - I upgraded to Mavericks in order to run Nxt and still get some errors that make me feel uncomfortable!

Best way is to rent a VPS like I will do and pass it to C-f-B to setup it until we have a proper Mac client...

There's going to be an online client too isn't there?  I might just use that (until proper Mac client is available).
Yes but atm you should pay for a VPS (they are cheep) - choose 512MB.
Then PM C-f-B for setting the client there.

I have no idea where Mac's prompt. U can buy a cheap VPS and give me root password, I'll install Nxt client there for free.
WTF should I put in the Hostname field?? The VPS site asks this (eg. server1(.yourdomain.com))...

Ok I had to update from Snow to Mavericks in order to use the new JRE.
I followed the steps and in http://localhost:7875/ I see now my coins too.

I get the following in my terminal:

Probably it's normal but want to be sure.

Well, now we r supposed to use Nxt for a week, reporting all found serious bugs...

Pay attention to Time difference between nodes. If it's outside of +/-15 sec frame, then we could see unsynchronization of the network.

One important note: If ur node is visible on the Internet then launch client by
Code:
java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt IP_ADDRESS
Right now only 1 bootstrapping node runs the newest version. If it goes down the network will be fragmented.
How do we know this??
Local clients are bootstrap nodes too as far as I understand right?

Not specified accounts replaced with corresponding hashes that will be used to claim coins later. "10105875265190846103" is the account that holds funds with incorrect or missing hashes.
My account and its balance looks alright here as well.
Come-from-Beyond, two questions: is http://localhost:7875 also residing on your server (and its information available to be seen on your side)?
I tried to connect to http://localhost:7874 to connect through peers but it didn't load anything. When it will be active?
Quoting + all ok on my side..

http://nxtgenesisblock.appspot.com/ ran out of free quotas, we have to wait when a new period begins. GAE resets quotas every 24 hours, so we won't wait longer than that. If u can't claim coins before u go to sleep then PM me with the key and ur account. I'll do it for u later.
Not sure if you are referring to me but I have claimed my coins with no problem...

This is the one not compatible with Snow Leopard!

Then u can't run Nxt. U have an option to buy VPS and install Linux.
VPS is an option I will go regardless of setting it up locally Wink

Very busy last days, I am checking now which VPS to choose..

I noticed that 256 Mb is not enough. Nxt crashes with "Not enough memory" often.
Yeah I saw your post upthread! Thanks a lot man..

Will there be a Mac client at launch?

The client is cross-platformed. It works everywhere, I could launch it on my fridge if it had more memory.
JRE version not compatible with OSX 10.6.8!
