361  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Disabled Accounts - did your account get disabled? on: October 27, 2017, 05:45:52 AM
I see a random assortment of people claiming that they are either suspended/disabled or that they are not. Perhaps it's only a geographic suspension? For example, I am in the U.S. and did not get my account disabled. Has anyone else reported that they have had their accounts disabled from inside the U.S.? To play devil's advocate, something could have happened where only certain users have gotten affected or maybe certain demographics happen to be easily deceived/phished, etc.
362  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Only Exclusive Items on: October 27, 2017, 03:24:35 AM
Does anyone know of retailers which sell goods/services for crypto only with no option of payment made in fiat?

Could this represent a good business model for a small store with an online only presence?

There must be some holding alts who are fustrated by the lack of options in terms items they can spend their coins on. While there are many options for bitcoin, for the most part alts are neglected and there isn't a huge market where they can be utilized without first having to convert to btc.

Could support for ripple, eth, bcc, doge, ltc, dash and other alts be a good foundation upon which to build a small business?

 Huh

I would really appreciate if there is any in my locality but it's really difficult to get one. The only place I see it happening will be countries where the popularity of bitcoin has reached a point where entrepreneurs can have a move to establish their project and because of the popularity, there is hardly need to do much publicity as the market is already aware of bitcoin.

Over here on the otherhand, the market is not there yet as the first few years will be about enlightening the entire populace and if the money is not coming in fast, business cash flows runs into problem, the end is in sight. But this is a fertile ground to be assessed because buying from abroad will make it more expensive.

Without disclosing my specific location, I can tell you that here where I live in the eastern side of the United States there are various Bitcoin-accepting retailers in a certain part of the city. However, these are mostly just local stores-- I have yet to see a franchise or a branch of a big store such as a Target accepting Bitcoin. Hopefully, this will change some time in the near future.
363  Economy / Services / Re: Searching for a mathematician experienced with PageRank algorithms on: October 26, 2017, 05:35:34 AM
PageRank is DEAD from 2-3 years. Much more actual today are Domain authority and Page authority as score ranking.

https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

PageRank is far from dead. As someone who studies algorithms, I can say that there is much more value in PageRank than in other algorithms because of its flexibility and the different variations and adaptations that are implemented by search engines such as Google. Sure, the vanilla PageRank may be too straightforward and abusable, but the entire point of it being this simple is to build more on top of it. This lets different search algorithms be created on top of PageRank that do not necesarily act in the same way.
364  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: FREE VPN [OS X/Windows] - WHOAMI VPN - 6 LOCATIONS - FREE NOW on: October 26, 2017, 02:23:31 AM
I registered at your website and downloaded the configuration file given by your system on your website. I can confirm that it, indeed, works just fine. The speeds are a bit on the slower side, but that is to be expected from a service that is being provided to the user for free.

I only tested the USA location so the experience might be different for different servers depending on which one you choose. Everything seems to be running fine, however, and even though the speeds aren't that great, the latency is actually pretty low compared to other VPNs I have used in the past. I will report back if I find out more.
365  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: FREE VPN [OS X/Windows] - WHOAMI VPN - 6 LOCATIONS - FREE NOW on: October 25, 2017, 09:12:15 PM
Hello, there. I am currently looking among several VPN options and came across this one. I was wondering, is it possible to use your VPN without having to download your software, like a regular PPTP connection through the built-in operating system options? I would like to stay as far away as possible from downloading software and it is one of my pet peeves with most VPN services. Also, will it only work on OSX and Windows or will it also work on mobile phones, etc.? Any plans to expand on this? I would rather have a VPN with a small company such as yourself than with big ones who probably care less about their customers.
366  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Uquid bitcoin debit card reviews on: October 25, 2017, 05:39:42 AM
Site is down!
Site is up again. Maybe they made updates. Hope, they will provide their origin card again, which is as only one not assossiated with VISA/Mastercard.
I try to buy this ico

and when i successfully buy some token

suddently my account get blocked by uquid

"Your account was suspended by admin. All your transaction will be currently blocked. Please contact UQUID support."

Any one ?
Hope, you have no funds on it.

i already deposited BCH 0.1 +/- $30 and get 18.3 UQC

Then suddently when i notice the note that my account get suspended

now im try to contact admin through support email
If you have no response through email then better try on skype because I also have few issues they respond on skype very quickly and solve this all hope you will also have solution from them very quickly skype id is   Uquid Support Team

Do not engage in their ICO. I am a customer of UQUID card, I top up my card with USD 1000. Their card suddenly unable to use anymore few months ago, and I contact their customer service, they said that do not offer service for non-EU customer. But I am unable to transfer balance to account up to now. Scam at all. No solution at all.
Did you email or call them on Skype? I was going to buy the card today.
Currently this service is suspended because they are searching for new partner and its taking too much time if you try to buy card right now then you can lost your money so better keep away from this service right now for safety of your money

It's important to mention that back when they lost their original card providing partner they had sent a message indicating that it would only take them 2-3 weeks to find a new partner and finalize deals with them. This was a couple of months ago and it still seems like they have not fulfilled their promise. Now, the entire fiasco with wavecrest happened some time in between, so it is possible that this legitimately delayed them, but I doubt it's a different issue. I believe UQUID simply got to know earlier. Also, to be fair with them, I did have access to my card for a reasonable amount of time before they set up a firewall to completely geo-block people who weren't inside their regions of service. I also am able to access them occasionally, albeit I am not sure why. Maybe something is wrong with their firewall?
367  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-25] Steve Wozniak, Bill Barhydt, and Bobby Lee Promote Bitcoin on: October 25, 2017, 04:57:56 AM
This worth a read and how much bitcoin does Steve, Bill and Bobby would have been in they’re own personal wallets. At this high price from last September 4000$ to this 5000$ - 6000$ I doubt they don’t have either of it. That’s make this once more in demand and popularity of cryptocurrency will not stop but still widespread day by day.

Completely agreed. This is in fact also true of pretty much every investor out there or any person with a big sum of money. Diversifying wealth includes diversification to different assets and currencies. When you see famous people talking about Bitcoin, regardless of whether they support it or think it's stupid, odds are they are actually quite invested in Bitcoin. The chance is too good to pass up. Those who talk against Bitcoin know about the possibility of what they are saying being completely wrong and know that they need to have some Bitcoin for when it booms.
368  Economy / Services / Re: I need cheap webhost on: October 25, 2017, 03:42:52 AM
There are plenty of web hosts out there that have extremely cheap prices. If you are trying to get really the cheapest of the cheapest, go take a look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/. The number of individuals trying to make a buck out of running their own web hosting service there is mind blowing. Be aware, however, that these people are usually not fully experienced on the technical side of web hosting and are typically mostly one-man efforts (as they cannot pay the bills of other employees in the company) so expect support to be sparse compared to more established hosts such as Namecheap. I have used Namecheap for web hosting before and they are great, but their services truly do come at a premium in price. Also remember your website data is probably not truly secure anywhere.

that forum no cheap, i wait here for people who can offer me cheap.

What are you talking about? Did you even check out that forum? There are offers going for as low as $1 a year. If you are looking for something cheaper than that, then I have some bad news for you. Also, cheap is going to mean that the service is probably going to be subliminally oversold and it's going to hurt the performance of your website significantly. Regardless, just make sure you are looking in the right section. You can find shared hosting at this link: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4. The $1/year offer is around the top, although I would not trust it myself, but given that you really are looking for the cheapest I doubt anything is going to be beating that. You should reconsider your budget, honestly.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2nd chance at Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2017, 01:30:43 PM
You may look for Potential Altcoins..!! For the second chance!!

That is a terrible idea. He will have spent more than anything he could make if he were to go buying into random altcoins. The reason Bitcoin blew up is because there was nothing like it before. Most of the alt coins I see now are mostly owners trying to make a profit out of pre-mining. If anyone ever feels like investing in altcoins, they should be researching that particular altcoin very carefully.

Personally, I only ever invested into those altcoins that I actually had a use for. If you do not have a good use for an altcoin's specific technology, then you should seriously consider whether the average person would have a use for it or not. Even if it's a niche thing it could still be successful. This should be the first question to come to mind when considering them.

371  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-22] BTC - $6000 USD, Satoshi Nakamoto Should Be on Forbes’ Rich List on: October 24, 2017, 01:53:11 AM
$6 billion worth of Bitcoin
FTFY
Well, that is precisely how wealth is calculated. It is the same methodology used for calculating other people's wealth. For example.if Bill Gates decides to sell all his Microsoft shares, the share price will tank as well. That doesn't mean that Microsoft is any less valuable.
Correct.  It's not like Bill Gates is holding 89.3 billion US dollars in some bank account somewhere to sit and decrease in value by 2-3 percent per year and potentially be lost since it's not fully insured.

When you reach that amount of money (anyone on that rich list), the amount of money you have is based on how much money you potentially have.  It doesn't mean that you could actually pull that amount out of nowhere.  In satoshi's case, it would decrease the value even more because when he starts selling, everyone would be terrified of him selling more and there would be a crash, but this is just speculation and doesn't affect his potential position on the list.

However, we don't know for sure that satoshi was just one person and we don't know their real identity, so I'm not sure that they should actually be on the list.

Huh, sometimes you just forget how math works. Fixed.

I completely agree. The liquidity of the Bitcoins held by someone with a high share in the market is very low when you take into account the limited volume being traded in exchanges. I would not be surprised if it wasn't even *possible* to cash out that amount of money ever. It would be a challenge to even find a combined number of people willing to buy such a big amount of Bitcoin. At these points, it is very hard to say what the *real* value held by these people actually is.
372  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: October 23, 2017, 05:27:29 AM
Send 1 BTC -> Withdraw 1 BTC and 1 BCG chip -> Sell 1 BCG -> Send 1 BTC + BCG trade profit -> repeat.

That's actually a good point, but we know that ChipMixer's reserve pool isn't all that large. Imagine how that will be in a situation where people see this as an interesting money making oppostunity. ChipMixer will get 'spammed' with mixing tasks, which eventually would result in a lot people desperately complaining about them being handed a voucher, while they had their eyes on receiving private keys with BG connected to them. Then new chips have to be prepared, and these new chips will not come with BG anymore. It's basically a first come first served situation. I personally will not do so just to obtain BG, because I find that people needing privacy shouldn't suffer any delays due to greedy people emptying the reserve pool.

Also being how the wide consensus seems to be that BCG is just a fake currency with no value, I don't think people will be able to profit from it as much as they might have done back when Bitcoin Cash itself forked from the main blockchain. Even now you still see some people strongly believing that Bitcoin Cash could be the future. I have yet to see one sane person do the same. If I had to guess, I don't think ChipMixer is concerned about people doing this "abuse" method at all, and neither is anyone else as far as I can tell. BCG is going to be DOA.
373  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Disabled Accounts - did your account get disabled? on: October 23, 2017, 05:08:01 AM
Seems like different people are having different problems. Personally, my account was not disabled even though Bittrex is currently asking me for verification. They do not seem to have limited any sort of withdrawals from my account even though my account is unverified. Luckily for me, they do not hold any significant amount of my funds, but for those who do have something inside and have not had their accounts disabled, I would recommend to get everything out of there ASAP.

Edit: I can now confirm that I was able to withdraw everything I had inside.
374  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Google Drive Unlimited 2$/Account ac.id new fresh on: October 23, 2017, 04:58:39 AM
Hey, I was just wondering if you had accounts from different domains? I would like to set up an array of Google Drives to serve as personal backups for my computers and different domains gives this more redundancy and protection against loss. Usually when a domain's accounts get closed because of abused it affects all of the related domains, which is why having accounts with multiple domains would be useful in my case. If you do, then please let me know so that we can strike up a deal. Otherwise, no worries.
375  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-22] BTC - $6000 USD, Satoshi Nakamoto Should Be on Forbes’ Rich List on: October 22, 2017, 05:30:59 AM
This is actually not correct at all. When we are talking about extremely large sums of money such as the $6 trillion billion worth of Bitcoin that Satoshi has, simple multiplication to figure out its value does not work. Most exchanges have a volume of Bitcoin that does not even come close to the 1 million bitcoins that Satoshi might hold. For example, take a look at the graph at the bottom of this Bitstamp page: https://www.bitstamp.net/market/tradeview/. We are looking at bidding and asking volumes in the low thousands for prices within $1000 of the last price as of writing this post. Combine the volumes of all the exchanges and you will see that long before Satoshi could cash out a significant amount of his holdings, the price of Bitcoin will have already dropped very drastically. As a thought exercise, figure out how many exchanges there are and the average volume. You'll be surprised at how much your share of the entire Bitcoin economy would drive the price of Bitcoin either up or down.

Edit: Math is hard.
376  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] 0.15$/acc - FRESH GMAIL ACCOUNTS - NON PHONE VERIFYCATION - CREATED YTB on: October 22, 2017, 05:19:12 AM
Is this any different from just creating a new Google account yourself? I don't see why anyone would want to buy these, as all it seems you have done with the accounts is created them with fake information that anyone could make up and then just created a YouTube channel with them, which is nothing restrictive.

Even if the entire point were to sell them in bulk, what use would they have? You can't even do much of malicious intent with these, as Google captures botters and spammers fairly quickly and they don't play around when it comes to YouTube channels posting copyrighted videos or similar stuff. I simply don't see a reason why this could be useful to someone, but feel free to prove me wrong.

Edit: Also, what is the point of phone verified accounts if you do not have access to the numbers? It simply makes it easier to get locked out of them.
377  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ShapeShift vs Changelly on: October 21, 2017, 09:54:53 PM
ITS posible to use this services like payment processor or only to swap tokens?

I can't speak for Changelly, but I know that at least ShapeShift does not have a way of being used as a payment processor. You honestly would not want to do it that way anyway; rather, you should implement payment processing yourself and then use ShapeShift as a way to convert all the received tokens to your desired currency. You can automate this by using the ShapeShift API along with your implementation of the payment processing in order to not have to deal with any tokens you do not have a wallet for. Check it out at https://info.shapeshift.io/api.
378  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Only Exclusive Items on: October 21, 2017, 05:59:17 AM
Besides the obvious illegal items such as drugs that can only be bought with Bitcoin and through Tor, I have seen a couple of VPN providers and server/web hosting providers that only take Bitcoin, but other than that, they never stood out to me as special or gave me any reason to remember them. Limiting a service payment to Bitcoin only does not attract Bitcoin users more than anything else (although other things like full anonymity might). Instead, it only limits your consumer base and sales. At the moment there are many more items that are exclusive to buy with fiat than there are to buy with Bitcoin, but that is to be expected given that Bitcoin is still growing and is not yet anywhere close to the size of currencies such as the dollar.
379  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: BizSpark Administrator Accounts - [MSDN ADMIN] on: October 21, 2017, 04:54:54 AM
Attention, he is a scammer!!!

After the payment nothing is delivered and he answers no more!  Angry

You should not be buying off people here that are new and do not have any trust, especially not without escrow. It has become a common thing here for people to create new accounts only to scam other people who do not think twice before buying something off someone's online storefront only to be disappointed when they don't get what they are looking for. Why choose this seller when there are many others that have a good history selling the exact same product for the same price in the forums?
380  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 【Bitcoin Debit Card UQUID】 Best Bitcoin and Altcoins debit card | 0% Fee Deposit on: October 20, 2017, 11:44:08 PM
This is beyond a joke now. It's been 2 MONTHS since anyone could actually use your card, and you honestly don't seem to care one bit.
Currently they are busy for searching new card service provider because they already lost contract to Wavecrest if you want some fast response then try to contact on skype mostly they reply very quickly
There is no excuse, as they have had over 2 months to sort it out. They just seem to be burying their heads in the sand at this point. Really just pathetic.

While I am not trying to defend them for this (as I got as screwed as you did), they did post an update about it on their website. I would link you to it, but I am currently geo-IP blocked from their website and don't feel like pulling up my VPN. I do agree that they did not deliver on their promise to fix the problem within 2-3 weeks, but I do believe they are not trying to scam anyone out of their money. Their update stated that you would have to provide ID documents in order to verify and get a new card if you are outside of the European Union; however, I do not know if this service is already up and running as AFAIK, they have not provided a procedure as to how to do any of this and I have not heard of anyone successfully doing it.
