361  Economy / Marketplace / Re: LOOKING TO INVEST MY LIFE SAVINGS NEED ADVICE on: November 14, 2017, 06:27:28 PM
Friendly advise.
Never go full retard.
which means- never invest everything you have.

This....

I found this hilarious when your signature says 'go big or go home'.

But yea man, in my opinion, mining has never let me down, but you have to BE SMART about it. Don't get crazy at first, grow over time, buy and sell coins too with the coins you mine, make more. Be Smart.
362  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer D3 19.3GH/S $900 Shipped. USA escrow on: November 14, 2017, 06:11:08 PM
brand new in box free shipping without PSU. Will do escrow on forum or local pick up in st louis MO

I'd be interested with escrow, but only one of the ones I've used in the past.

OBO

$700 FOR SALE LIKE NEW 1080 TI gigabyte blower mined with for about 3 days (cryptochicks) selling to fund a 1070 TI build
Link to specs - https://goo.gl/PPDze2

Why would I pay 700 when I could pay 699 from the link you just provided and get next day shipping with Prime? lol.

364  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: VoskCoin Garage Sale : GPU Mining Rigs and Parts (GPUs,Mobos,Ram,PSUs, and more) on: November 04, 2017, 03:06:16 AM
Asking price for the cards?

Zotac 1070 mini ~390-380 depending on how many someone wants.
I’m more focused on moving these 1080 TI
Not really looking for a profit on them so first realistic offer takes them

Antminer apw3++ is also sold!

I'll buy however many 1080ti's you have for 625 each I'll pay escrow and shipping.

What are you looking for for the 1080tis?
366  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer D3 19.3GH/s for sale (new in hand unopened) $1900 w free shipping to US on: November 01, 2017, 07:36:11 PM
well some dude neg'd me for offering escrow services. no good deed goes unpunished right? whatever it's spilled milk under the bridge.

Well, to be fair, a jr account offering escrow is a HUGE no no. You need to establish yourself before offering something of that nature. People in the BTC community are VERY cautious with good right, there are TONS of scammers around.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: October 27, 2017, 06:56:38 PM
what's the price in btc of each qora?

 0.000000015  btc

As far as I know, there is no exchange for Qora.
This price makes no sense.
I don't know where will Qora head. But if there is no dev behind it, it will disappear eventually

Openledger is the exchange. To deposit qora ,you have to contact CEO of exchange and send him the coins, then he sends the equivalent amount in "qoragold", which  values at 1 to 1000.At the moment there is a buy order of aproximately 2500 qoragold at 15k sats (2.5mln qoras at 1.5 sats). That's all there is if you want to sell.

I will never sell Qora at this price.
Qora has been with me for years, I won't let it go this way.
Maybe it will be worth nothing in the end, I will just hold it.

it will definitely not be worth nothing, I can wholeheartedly promise you that.

UPDATE -

cat, new main QORA dev, is back!

I've spoken with him and we're getting started in structuring the new repo for mapdb which we will maintain.

I've added him to the main QoraCoin git repo as well.

Work is officially beginning on fixing the current mapdb, since awaiting the mapdb dev's fixes turned out to be a bust, as he can't seem to stick with a version longer than a month before scrapping it.

cat is more than capable of repairing the db issue.

I also have gotten him in touch with another senior Java developer who will be assisting in this task.

Also...

I have spoken with Ronny @ OpenLedger, and he said he will work on fully automating the QORA deposit and withdrawal process with his devs shortly. Though, having a for SURE solid wallet will definitely help this cause. So the db issue is the first point of attack.

There are many new ideas for QORA as well, ones that I'm very excited about. To incentivize good posts and content, to reward good creations, to make a fully decentralized blog system similar to STEEM, however built MUCH BETTER. To not rely upon how much MONEY YOU HAVE as the way to make your account more influential, but instead, how good your content is, how good and solid and how long your node has been up, and various other metrics that will tell the network how helpful you are FOR THE NETWORK, not how much money you're willing to throw at something to be influential.

In my opinion, these next few years will show which projects are REAL and which aren't. QORA, in my opinion, is THE service-based token, if done correctly. I have every intention on helping that to happen as much as I possibly can.

I have also promised to donate at least 50 million QORA towards development, promotion, etc... and got Ronny to agree to donate 25 million as well, once he was able to get access back to his few wallets that were giving him issues on the older version.

QORA may be a little slow moving at first while we fix the underlying db issues and such, but after we do, and as implementation of the improvement features and such come... it will be AWESOME.

Also, the web UI should be available for me to show very shortly. Smiley This will not only make QORA much easier to use, but provide access to its features in a more understandable way, prettier, and just overall much better. This UI I am paying for out of my own pocket to one of my long-time web developers who I trust completely.

Can't wait to show you all what's happening. Feel free to join the discord, and chat with me or the others there, let's rebuild the community!

Just wanted to give a few updates...

1. Newly created Web UI for the wallet is getting very close to where I'll be able to show pictures, etc.

2. New team now has qora.org email addresses, including groups info@qora.org and development@qora.org.

3. main dev has made headway on the db issue, however mapdb dev is having some issues it seems, and keeps killing the new versions, so the best solution is likely to maintain our own repo for the current version with necessary fixes. Main dev is currently out due to personal things, but should be back within a week or so, at which point these issues will start being worked on. He updated me about 4 days ago with what I just mentioned here.

4. The new QORA team is fantastic, and I appreciate their willingness to help very much.

5. We have a bridge between QORA Discord and QORA Telegram which relays messages back and forth via a bot, so either platform you use, you'll be able to see at least the 1 channel.

6. There are multiple new ideas in planning stage right now, and will be put onto a visible form so that the community can contribute shortly.

7. New QORA website is in progress as well as a new QORA wiki.

8. A new senior Java developer has been kind enough to offer his help with the project.

9. I firmly believe that QORA will be THE number 1 service-based token in the future, with the changes we're going to make. I'm very pleased with how things are going so far.

10. More to come, QORA might be a little slow moving at first, but we're doing everything RIGHT, and it will be VERY awesome when it is fully complete. there will be no pre-announcements, and no date-riddled roadmaps, everything will be fluid, changing, and based on community and team input. The team is only community members looking to be more involved, if you'd like to help out, please do so! QORA is built by the people for the people, and hopes to bring REAL decentralized services back to the crypto realm.

Thanks!

if you'd want to work a deal for all 5, somewhere around the 350 each range, I'd be open to that.

I bought 2 of these from a previous sale from GM, everything went smoothly, even with the sending of half the cash without escrow. I trust him enough that I'm likely to purchase a couple more from him today Wink

I'll PM you GM. Smiley

Well, unfortunately I didn't realize the update until today, missed a day of staking and MasterNode rewards, but got all my wallets updated to 2.0.0.13b now... apologies to the DMD network for taking so much time!

I have MasterNode and my normal nodes all updated now. Smiley The update process from 2.0.0.12 went smooth as butter, just deleted chain, then put in the update, ran it, everything went perfectly.

Once again I would like to congratulate DMD team on the great job! DMD is once again my most treasured coin! I can't wait until I can grab myself another 2500 and get my second MasterNode running.

Much love to DMD team and community!
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: September 20, 2017, 04:32:58 PM
ok guys bug report.

If you have an error when trying to start a masternode 'invalid ip address' it is bug in DMD wallet.

Goto debug console and issue command masternode start-missing

this 100% fixed it for me.

When trying to find the cause of the problem I moved this wallet to 5 different computers (windows xp, 7, 8, 10, server 2012) on 3 different networks and repeated the bug everytime.

Hopefully this will help out some other.

This is strange, since I had no problems with running MN on Windows 7

I too had issues with using the 'start' button in the GUI. I had to start my MN with the console command, start-alias. Not sure why, but it definitely didn't work with GUI, I bashed my head against the wall for hours trying to figure it out, but wallah, the masternode start-alias [alias] started it up immediately.

Also, I noticed that when you start the masternode, it doesn't start immediately counting the online time of the node. It took mine about 5 hours to start correctly showing the online time, not sure if that is an 'issue' or what, but it's just what I noticed.

Another question for devs... (I'm currently reading through the last few pages to see if I can find my own answer, and I did notice the stake pile change and made mine 1000) but I'm having issues with my non-masternode wallet staking. It keeps telling me that staking isn't active... it must be that I did a large stake of the whole amount in the wallet, but how long will this take to start staking again? I even changed to 1000 in config with the noted setting by our beloved CVO... restarted wallet, but still getting staking not active... how long does it take to start working via that setting? What am I missing here?

Thanks!

Just wanted to drop by and give a little update.

The telegram group has been merged with the Discord group I put together, and progress is being made.

We have setup a telegram-discord translation bot which will send messages back and forth from tele to discord.

we have now about 7 developers working together on this.

I will open up the Discord channel to the public here shortly once I let the moderators know it will be happening.

I have suggested quite a few ideas which I think are quite good, for both QORA as it sits now, and what I'm referring to as 'QORA 2.0'

Thanks, and apologies for not being active, I was focused on getting everything done that I said I would in the background, getting the team talking on all sides, and putting the correct people where they needed to be.

I also had a trip that I was out of town for 2 weeks on.

But I'm back, the teams are working together, and things are moving along, I'm quite excited for the future of QORA. Smiley

Next I'll be speaking with OpenLedger and getting them setup in a more automated fashion for QORA deposits and withdrawals, then once we have a solid new wallet out, which shouldn't be long now judging by the progress thus far, I will personally talk with multiple exchanges and get QORA listed.

Thanks.

Here is the link to join the Discord server.... https://discord.gg/HxWFssm

We haven't decided yet on whether to allow public access to the translation channel between tele and discord, I want to make sure the devs are okay with it before I do, so that we don't get spam interrupting their attempts to work.

But here's the server, feel free anyone, to join. Also, feel free to submit ideas for the discord channels, QORA itself, etc... I'm going to create an 'ideas' channel now.

Thanks again for your patience, and let's do this! QORA will be amazing again, I can already see it happening in my head. We have the people necessary, I have access to nearly everything we need, and can gain access to whatever else. It is happening! I know it was a bit delayed, but I'm only 1 person and I have my hands in quite a lot.

Hope to see you all in Discord soon! Smiley

edit - updated discord link, for whatever reason even though I told it not to, it expired.

Here's to confirm that I'm the escrow for the transaction here between crowetic and GMPoison, and the transaction is in progress. Smiley
Thank you to all parties involved here.

Correct. Deal was just finalized. Here's to a successful completion!

thanks John for escrow on this, and thanks GM for the deal. I'll post again when I know everything is good on both sides, but my side has been fulfilled. Smiley

deal is pretty much finalized, I'm for sure that I want to purchase, we're working out escrow, and some other details, will post again tomorrow when everything is finished.
Buying goods with money stolen from burstcoin, signatuemcoin and private miners? Why wont this thief go to jail?

and trolls following me around with nonsense unbacked crap posts all day hiding behind fake usernames. Lots of fun! Get out of here man.

@OP apologies for the delay, I was caught up rebuilding a bunch of my servers today, I'm still 100% on our agreed upon deal, and have replied to our combined message with escrow just recently. Once again sorry for delay, talk soon! Thanks.

Shveicar, don't get me wrong, I also don't like that you can't turn off sending telemetry data by default.
But from a security point of view I can not recommend Win 7 or even XP over Win 10.
Also the basic telemetry data does not contain actual file contents like private keys, but collections of Windows events.
Microsoft even published the whole collection list not too long ago. Just make sure to switch from full to basic telemetry data.
Also Microsoft has no intention to steal your wallet, but cyber criminals exploiting old operating systems actually do.

I agree with this, that if you do not understand the system settings and You are an ordinary user, among the choice of operating system between Windows XP, 7, 8 or 10.
The best solution for you is to trust Microsoft and use Windows 10

But this is so clear, since most users simply have no other choice.

The absolute BEST thing to do, is to setup VMware and run virtual machines for whatever purpose. For desktop machines I run Ubuntu Desktop with VMware player that can run VMs of my choosing. For servers, ESXi 5.5 or 6.0+ to maximize the use of my hardware.

I now have 12 datacenter hosted hypervisors, and 15 various desktops all over the place for whatever purpose.

Linux will win out in the end, but with Ubuntu, you still have to disable their non-open-source search tool. You can do that easily by installing another desktop UI (like cinnamon or original gnome)

Just my suggestions. If anyone needs more information on this, or would like some help setting things up, let me know.

now, back to the topic at hand....

Great work DMD team! You guys have made me a proud DMD holder. I'm quite excited for what will come in the future. I highly anticipate version 2.0. I'm also considering mining DMD on my 150+ GPUs to help support the network, and picking up another masternode on top of my legendary masternode to help further.

If the DMD team needs anything, as far as VMs for servers, I have (as mentioned above) multiple hypervisors in various locations (namely the US and Canada) all being completely rebuilt with custom firewalls, DDOS protection, and VPN connectivity for the people who run things on them, being the only method to connect to SSH, being totally secure. If you guys need any servers, let me know. I'll hook you up. Smiley Free of charge for any DMD related hosting.

This goes for anyone looking to host a DMD related service. Contact me and I'll host it for free.

Thanks and good luck!
