I downloaded the purse but it's very long synchronized and there is a lighter version of what I heard something like that

The lite client is the 'DEFAULT' install.
If you're syncing, it is because you didn't go through the default install.  More specifically, you selected full node.

(Uninstall / Reinstall does not resolve this.  You (since you don't have any bytes, etc (assumption)) simply need to delete the wallet data directory and run the app in order to start from scratch - yes defaults.)

Damn, now those are much better pics. Love silver! Cheesy

I agree.  Even with all that fuzz on the case of the coin, it's very nice.  Smiley
(Guessing the fuzz particles are from the included black felt coin bag.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 15, 2017, 12:55:14 PM
Do we have more distribution planned? I don't see next airdrop announced yet so just wondering...

And so far how much is distributed?

Nothing yet posted for the next distro.  Wonder if that is the cause of the rise?   Smiley

58.4% distributed prior to the Nov distro.   Stats haven't been updated yet.

364  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 0.1BTC Titan Tenth #109 (Silver, Private Key) on: November 15, 2017, 12:50:40 PM
Wow, this is a great looking coin.  Good luck with the auction should bring a nice premium Smiley

Quite honestly, they look far better in person.

The picture of the cert is beautiful; however, the lighting doesn't do the coin any favors.  It's so hard to take pics of silver.

Epis -  Pull it out of the case.    Just kidding.  Picture is nice, but with a black background would be awesome.

I believe that is the last or one of the last to have been made (funded) prior to the Bitcoin Gold fork.

Good luck.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 13, 2017, 07:50:20 PM
Did I miss something? A price jump of 34%.

Looks like you didn't miss it to me.   Smiley   Thanks for pointing it out, now I am gonna do ..... nothing.  Hodl!
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 13, 2017, 06:53:09 PM
Very quick question about distribution:
I received my bytes from the airdrop but not the blackbytes. Is it normal?

Since you think it's a quick question, I will give you a quick answer.

No.

Is the next airdrop happening in December? I think the last full moon was around 3/4 November?

No.
Correct.

367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 12, 2017, 05:34:11 PM
Does somebody know if there will be a airdrop this month?

Or will we skip this one?

This month is November.  There was an airdrop.
Next month is December.  There is no airdrop (that I know of).

I did not receive my blackbytes for the last drop, same with anyone else?

Hey Guys! Can anybody help me? Just looked in my Byteball wallet and saw that I havent received my blackbytes yet but my Gbytes... Always used the same address and hadnt any problems in the past airdrops. What can I do?

Make sure you actually deserve it first.  I have found that most people thinking they should get it actually shouldn't.  Once you know that you should and haven't, then simply request a re-send of the GBB.  (That said, don't misread that statement as being more GBB being sent as many scammers think they can simply request to get more free GBB - a re-send is of the same package (not additional).)

I also think it would be fine to airdrop ETH holders

A joke?   Why not with the other 1000 alt junk coins too?  Uhhg
Even better, why not just buy Byteball and get 10% free per airdrop.

last time i have tried to recover from seed and i don't see my blackbytes . Do I have lost them or what ?
I got some strange messages.

Yes, because you didn't read the warnings when you selected Backup Seed when it told you that the backup/recovery by seed will NOT recover Blackbytes (or any private asset).
Best thing you can do is read what you're doing when you do it.

Does this mean that every time I receive Blackbytes I have to do a full backup? If I will recover from seed, will I have 0 blackbytes?

Yes, just exactly like it says when you make the seed backup.   Do a full backup in order to be able to do a 'FULL' recovery of everything.
Added:  ALWAYS make backups.  It's amazing how many people don't do this and come here to bitch about it after the fact.  Make backups.  It takes so little space, so why wouldn't you make backups every day you make a transaction?

Got the same issue!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg24273995#msg24273995

I've sent a message to Tony, no reply yet.

Tony is a busy guy.  Just imagine how much hassle he has to go through with people bitching about not receiving their free money when they in fact don't even deserve it.
I've made a list of resend requests and send to Tony, but I go through the process of helping people understand first if they don't deserve it for various reasons.  I would guess about 7 out of 10 times, people are not entitled to GBB.  Mostly because they don't have their Bytes in a linked address and/or bitcoin linked to an address for those bytes.   You're welcome to PM me your byteball address to have me check.

I felt I had to make this point.  I have been using a full wallet for months and the sync has slowed  down to a crawl.  The latest update tonych posted is incredible the sync has dramatically improved on my SSD and i was able to move  my funds to a light wallet so I won't have any future issues with my funds being locked up because of sync  issues.  Thanks again tony  the  development is awesome!

Congrats.  It should be noted that a lite wallet is the default install.  People clicking on full node should understand what they are doing before they just click buttons and change options, but they don't and then bitch about it later.  (Not that you are, but it's just amazing how many people change things without knowing what they're doing and then complain that it's not their fault.)   Smiley

There appears to be a new release (v.1.11.4), is this an urgent release?

Also my wallet is syncing really slowly. Does it take up to a week to sync completely?

Did you have a reason to pick a full wallet?
Since you know there is 1.11.4, did you read the notes on what it fixes, or is your question that you don't understand what it says it fixes?
Time frame depends on the computer you're using.  So, most of the blame (other than picking a full wallet) is your hard drive.

HI my wallet working very smooth. I´ve never done backup and constantly upgrading since first version. All is functional and perfect. I also buyed some Titancoin.

Never done backup? You are asking for trouble, don't come crying when you lose all coins for not having a backup.

+1

I've already seen some similar ICO, why are you different?
This isn't an ICO.. Began last year December anyway, the newer airdrops copied byteball

This is not a real question, that's just sheer spam, probably sent to random threads, there should be a way to remove this garbage and ban the user from the forum.

+1    It's absolutely a spam account.  The same text is used by many spam accounts.  They are simply accounts that are setup to be sold as bitcointalk accounts at a later date as shills/spam (regular and sig)/airdrop accounts.   Take note that the account goes into many threads and makes a post that doesn't relate to the thread at all.  Just spam.... report them.

...

Same answer.

Thanks for the answer Michail, I will give it a shot soon, but that doesn't really address what the actual problem is. Is it corrupt db? Is this something that used to happen with conditional payments but now has been corrected?

It doesn't because there are several reasons the issue could be caused.   Just posted one.  Anyone can duplicate the problem simply sending blackbytes from a corrupted wallet.  Or, sending to someone that is paired, but they move to another hub.

You can simply delete the payment from the DB and then request the private payment be resent.  This happens all the time at distributions.  Mainly because people think that since they didn't get their free money, they start jumping to different hubs without communication with the transition bot, so payments are temporarily lost.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 07, 2017, 10:01:57 PM
Syncing... 36 private payments left. PC is with i7, so power is not a cause. This is getting worse everyday, not only price of the coin.

It's an issue with the wallet.
2 ways to solve this.

1)  Send me your wallet and I will send it back repaired.
2) Create a new wallet on another device, send all your funds to it, then move the new wallet to your primary machine.
Nope these are not a solutions, just an ugly patch. What if these happens to 1000s of people, will you fix all these wallets? Then better write instructions how to do this.

Basically Tonych need to fix this ASAP on client. This is not a beta stage anymore. Wallet that can corrupt anytime, sound totally amateur.

I didn't say it was a solution to the problem or what causes it.  I said it was a way to solve the issue for you.
Your absolutely right.... the wallet can corrupt itself... Oh yeah, just like every other damn crypto wallet.  Need proof?  I can send you a bitcoin wallet that is corrupted with 25 bitcoins in it.

So, you can either solve the issue for yourself and be done with it, or not.  Tony isn't going to spend time on your wallet or try to fix every possible reason that could cause the issue which even includes restoring a full backup from prior to spending or receiving blackbytes.

Many other reasons for the problem.  So, hard to know which particular one is yours.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 07, 2017, 09:23:33 PM
i received the exspected amount of bytes in the last drop but i didn't get any blackbytes.
does anybody have the same problem?
what can i do to receive the amount of blackbytes which was exspected by the chat bot?

(sorry if this problem was already discussed in this thread.)

I am not going to answer this for you since it is the same question that happens after each and every distribution.
Read what Tony said in his last post.

I have received my byteballs, thanks to the dev. But I don't receive blackbytes. Are they dropping in different days?

Same answer.

Yes same for me too..

Anyways, excited to be part of this after receiving my first airdrop! Only started learning about Byteball in the last couple of weeks  Grin

Same answer.

I am also getting this issue.  Is there any estimate as to when this fix will be released?  This issue happened before I was able to backup after the most recent distribution so I am getting nervous - I really want to backup.

To make a backup, simply backup the data directory where your wallet is at.  Copy the full directory to a usb drive.

I suggest a beautiful feminine figure to represent Byteball.
IOTA got Jesse Babbra‏ and I think that's their best move.

Tony is great but he isn't sexy.

Love that idea.   People love looking at women.  Quite rare to order coffee from a male 'barista'

I have similar issue. Stuck syncing three probate payments, before and after updating to latest client...

Same answer.

i am using the latest OSX wallet and have the same problem. stuck at 33 private payments.

Same answer.

My phone tries to synchronize a black byte payment from distribution for about an hour already, and still says "Synching ... 16 private payments left". It is getting hot and I need to tap it all the time to prevent from sleeping. Not very practical I would say.

Same answer.

372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 07, 2017, 06:57:38 AM
need something different so that users return to Byteball, if this is left of course the price will drop hold.

There will be berling Meetup on 28.11 so I would look forward to that. Tonych will be one of the speakers. Cryptochangex.com will be there too. Good times are coming. Mark my words.

I have marked your words.   Smiley

373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 06, 2017, 04:20:38 AM
sry guys, i dumped... i dumped real hard. But dont worry i'll be back in the game when price is like fiddy bucks. I believe in this project.
Lol now I'm curious how much are we talking about?  Grin

Can't be a lot since byteball has only dropped 10% today.  It's now at nearly 11%.
The real value drop is because of bitcoin dropping so much today.
$7570 to $7134 at the time of the post.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 05, 2017, 01:41:10 PM
where I can find a good calculator to see how much I can earn with each airdrop from byte ball?
I never used this system Sad unfortunately I have lost a lot Sad without claiming

There is no way a calculator can figure it out, since the numbers you would be feeding it would all be guess work.
If such a real calculator existed, then everyone and no one would make money.

You didn't lose anything since you didn't try or consider getting anything.  You simply missed out.  There is always someone later than you.

But why do you see the whales as potential enemies of BB? If I was a whale of BB, I would want the price to go up and not down

Exactly.   Holders never want the price to go down --- unless it temporary because they want to pick some more up

How long do confirmations take for byteball, is there anywhere i can view the transactions confirming?

It's not a set time.
So, sometimes it's minute apart, and sometimes 15.   Just guessing.
Would be nice to see a stats page.  Might already exist, and if so, I would like to see it.  (Link anyone?)

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 05, 2017, 06:20:25 AM
Anyone having issues with the byte ball wallet?

Keeps saying "syncing"

I'm guessing you are one of those people that picked a full node, because...  Well, I bet you don't know why.  Had you picked lite wallet, it would take a second or two.

In which country this will be working? This will be for limited countries?

Byteball isn't limited by country or world.  Even Aliens can partake... you know, if they're connected to Earth's internet.

Interesting to see that the price has dipped as usual following the airdrop even though it didn't rise much this time.
Byteball needs better community more investors to go it big.

It was expected.  It's done the same thing the last 6 distributions or so.  This time is was also expected since ALL alts are dropping.

However this great work of his is getting killed by his not so great idealistic distributional model.

Disagree completely. If it wasn't for the airdrop, I would likely never have heard of the project.

I agree.  I still didn't find it myself.  Someone told me about how I could get free tokens and sell to get free bitcoin.  So, I linked, and received byteball.  But, I read the whitepaper and decided I liked the concept and never sold a single one.  If I was in it for the money alone, I would have made a poor decision by not selling.  So, either I am not in it for the money, or I like the idea.

....., but if you look a little closer very few of the really big holders have made any kind of move. it's all still sitting there.

I completely agree.  I haven't moved any from primary wallet(s), but I have played with others for testing.   Never sold any.

376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 05, 2017, 05:40:31 AM
byteball airdrops really are terrible, I don't know whose idea it was to constantly give away to people who don't even hold the coin so people only interested in holding BTC and dumping byteball immediately get rewarded on a regular basis, it's a terrible setup. Bitcore is a good example because it's a % based on your bitcore holdings so it encourages people to hold and accumulate. It makes no sense at all to keep rewarding people who just dump right away. I'm very disappointed with the way it's all turned out.

And yet, you still registered for it.  LOL

hEy guys so how long is this airdrop going to go on for? is it infinite or is there a set date and time for this to end?

Thanks

The the first post, or even the white paper, or even the information on byteball.org

anyone still mining byte?

You've never been able to mine it.  So, and I am now just guess, exactly ZERO people still are.

We've finally got our last airdrop and price dump is not a surprice at all. This project made us understand that airdrops are not good for coins, and especially when it is more than once. Byteball is a good example for the future.

You could decide not to participate in it instead of complain about it.  Or, better yet, come up with a better method on your own alt.
It's almost tiring to read everyone bitch about free money.

yet it still gives to just btc holders, even if it's smaller than it was it's still rewarding people who hold zero byteballs, it's a terrible system when they could simply airdrop based on a % of current byteball holdings. It makes no sense to keep rewarding people over and over who hold zero byteball.

And, I have to laugh at you again.
BTC holders get .000625 per BTC owned.    That means, a BTC holder needs 160BTC to get just 1GB.

Yes, this means a BTC holder must have nearly $1.2Million just to get $200 worth of byteball.   You're complaining that bitcoin holders get byteball.  Gotta laugh as I am sure someone with $1.2 MILLION dollars has better things to do that worry about $200.   You know, just to be clear.

377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 04, 2017, 02:39:19 PM
I would be up for a signature campaign!

By all means. Sell your hymen, your reputation, and your self-respect for a few measly shekels.

Oh. I see you already have.

Heh.  Glad I don't have a hymen.... I'm safe, right?

Interesting to see that the price has dipped as usual following the airdrop even though it didn't rise much this time.

Only 13% more - so far.  Of course it's tanking.  All alts are tanking.   Everyone jumping out of alts to buy bitcoin simply because of FOMO.  Not only is bitcoin jumping, but people want the forks.  Why would you be in an alt when you can get Bitcoin cash, gold, 2x, silver, platinum, and every other jump clone for free.   So, you could (just like people are doing with byteball, sell off the free stuff to buy more bitcoin and get all those free things as well (without even trying to claim them).  The real issue is if you can time it right to buy into the alts of your choice (like byteball) when all the forking splits are done.  Good luck.

Has the snapshot been taken already ? It was supposed to be today not having it last month I kind a forgot how it was happening. It is short term loss of memory or time is running too fast to catch up with things. It great to see nice comments about on going Titan ICO using the protocol of Byteball. I will look at this little later.

Full Moon:
November 4, 2017 at 05:23 UTC

Current time is:
November 4, 2017 at 14:35 UTC

Yes, the snapshot was done which explains the new price tank like every distribution before it.
People get 10% free tokens, and history shows us the price always drops more than the 10% gain.

I can't wait for the airdrops to be done and see the true value stabalize.

I've emptied my Byteball wallet and I've just noticed I need bytes in order to move my Blackbytes. I'd appreciate if someone can send me a few bytes to cover the transfer fee. I can send you Blackbytes in return. Please PM if interested.

Move your bytes back into the wallet.  Yes, it's that simple.  Once confirmed, you can then move your blackbytes.

378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 03, 2017, 06:59:55 AM
Any estimation when it will be back up?

It's up now.

Hi guys, I've installed the lite version of the wallet for the airdrop and when I hit the chat store I get: Error: unexpected server response (502)
What's up with that?

also the block explorer doesn't work
https://explorer.byteball.org
502 Bad Gateway
not nice to see these kinds of problems on a big project like this

Really?  You didn't even read one post prior to yours?  Jesus dude.

System is running now though.

The same problem I have for some days....

I'll call bullshit on that.  It's only been for the last five hours.  Just came up about 10 mins ago.

Any estimation when it will be back up?

I asked the 8ball and my crystal ball.   All I got was, "The outlook is promising".  meh.

I am guessing Tony will be up within a few hours and will get mine (and others) messages.  I really doubt it will be long.  Smiley
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 03, 2017, 04:38:39 AM
I'm getting 502 error when I send address to transition bot, no tor.

Also, I have had message about syncing three private payments last couple times I started (light) wallet. Updated to latest version and still there. Do I need to restore from backup or something?

Hub/Explorer is currently down.  So, it's not you.
