401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So my portfolio is down %70...too late to pull back now I guess on: May 22, 2022, 01:27:06 PM
If your wallet is 100% btc I don't you should worry much even with -70% down because you already know the strength and performance of btc. However, is this portfolio is mostly alts, well there is a need to worry because most alts that were launched last year haven't experienced any bear market so it is very likely majority won't survive this bear market except for those who truly stand out.
You should probably get an offline if you don't already to support you through this hard times.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going on??? on: May 21, 2022, 03:46:18 PM
Sounds like op was out of the crypto space for some time, if not he would have probably flip his btc during the ath and buy back. seems op is not familiar with the bear market period that's why he is asking what happened. Allow me to welcome you to the crypto bear market, a period most crypto investors don't like very much (except for few  who have long term vision).
The smart investors see this period as an opportunity to load more, so if your bag of btc is not so heavy now is the time to increase the weight. 100k will surely come in due time.  Smiley
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what age did you start learning about bitcoin? on: May 21, 2022, 03:03:10 PM
It seems op trying to figure out forum members age by asking this question ........ kidding  Wink

Well i get to know about btc almost the same age as you, at that time i didn't take it serious until after about 2 years or so. I kept seeing some ads with btc online back then because i surf the internet a lot, i decided to click on one of such ads and it took me to a platform.. an investment platform I think, and that was how i continue digging, searching for more info, getting scammed along the way.
since i had zero knowledge about btc then my age did not play any important role to be honest because i had no idea what i was getting involved in.
Of course we all which we had started earlier, in fact i always regret not getting involved immediately i came across btc instead of wasting 2 years before paying attention.
Well It was a great experience looking back.  Cool

1. At what age did you start learning about bitcoin?
2. What role did age and prior experience play in helping you learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency?
3. With your current knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, do wish you started at an earlier age?

404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 2.0 Good Idea? on: May 20, 2022, 03:24:50 PM
Many investors of luna are not in agreement with the luna v2 proposal, from their on personal opinion the fork will not have any effect on the situation neither will it help those who lost so much money on ust, all they request is a burn.
The way i see it, i think if Do Kwon insist on moving forward with v2, many old investors will not support it and eventually the project will not be successful, he already lost the trust of the luna community.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to buy - end of bear market incoming on: May 19, 2022, 06:57:08 PM
btc soon below 10k and eth back to 300 usd, whoever sold at top won big, if you are still holding then dont worry, in 2028 you can sell eth for 3000 usd again, the problem is waiting at least 6 years to sell high again but we never know eth or btc can die at any moment, maybe both can die just like luna or many other scamcoins.

Yeah who knows! and there is a strong possibility all you have said above will not see the light of day. Btc soon below 10k! If this happens I think investors will scoop it up so hard it will send the price back up.
Don't compare what happened with luna to all projects and certainly not btc, if you have lost money in luna that's sad but you already know crypto investment involves risk.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun creates "the most decentralized Stablecoin" on: May 19, 2022, 06:49:17 PM
Keeping Justin's personality aside, having a stablecoin from the tron blockchain will be great imo, I know many mostly use the trc20 of usdt more than the erc20 because of how cheap it is to withdraw, so having it's own stablecoin will be even better. I know many investors will be reluctant because of the recent terra ust incident, I think Justin has already learned from the ust failure and will do his absolute best to keep this stablecoin more secure. Am looking forward to having usdd in all major exchange.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Hunt for new NFT project on: May 18, 2022, 08:59:21 AM
What is all the hype around the Ape project I saw a lot of positive comments about the project in many cryptocurrency signal groups and to me APE is kind of overrated and this hype may be a game plan from the project team to attract investors to buy in into the project and thereby ultimately increasing the value

It is all about the profit, as an nft project, I don't see the difference between Ape and other nft projects.  Only market speculators are benefiting by creating more hype to pump the price, in terms of utility, I don't see any utility strong enough to create such hype for ape coin.
Not just the project team only, the Ape community is mostly the ones overrating and hyping the project to attract more investors.
408  Economy / Economics / Re: Stop buying from automated producers / businesses, it's making you poor on: May 18, 2022, 06:12:04 AM
I think @stompix already gave a very deep and short insight into what you are asking, if you want to go by what you preach then being on this platform and getting your message across will take some time too. Despite the advancement of robots in companies and organizations, there is still plenty of tasks/jobs/work for people to do.
Note that not every country in the world is that advanced in technology, you can always relocate when you feel you are not getting enough jobs because of robots.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Paradox - a Simple Online Scam Honored as Deity on: May 17, 2022, 01:17:46 PM
Stop your obsession with the people that are trying to help you. Focus on the system that tricks you, in order for the anonymous scammers to get their hands on your asset.

Why don't you let them be, these people clearly don't want to be help and as smart as you claim to be, i expect you to be able to recognize that and watch them wallow in lost when the time comes.
if i were you i wont bother lift a finger to help. just grab a bowl of popcorn and watch the movie unfold.  Wink
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Such News pisses me off! on: May 17, 2022, 01:02:24 PM
I got this notification from a telegram channel which I follow. It is a telegram channel of a Youtube influencer who talks about cryptocurrency in his regional language. When I checked the notification from that channel it stated
Quote
JUST IN: Goldman Sachs and Barclays have invested in Bitcoin and crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies.

I was curious to know that Barclays had invested in Bitcoin! Did a simple search and found the accurate story. If your read the complete article you will know that this investment has nothing to do with Bitcoin.

Unfortunately this is how influencers and media has been promoting their hidden objective, that is to earn money no matter what can be the consequences and what it may end up?

This is why you need to do a search before believing anything promoted.

I think it is pretty clear even from your quote above what they invested on, i guess you are the one reading and perceiving it wrongly, they already indicated investing on a btc trading platform and never said invested in bitcoin so i don't see the confusion here.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: May 16, 2022, 10:15:18 AM
If you are not sure of what to do, better you don't participate or invest in a new project if you are not ready to accept whatever the outcome will be.
Luckily for you, the market is down a lot so you have the opportunity to buy good and trust projects at cheap prices, you don't really have any excuse except you are about to take an unnecessary risk.
If you are still too eager to buy, then my advice is to invest what you can afford to lose in case things didn't go as expected.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Involved in LUNA SCAM on: May 16, 2022, 09:25:44 AM
If you lose money as a result of the luna dump, accept your loss and learn from it instead of looking for who to blame. I doubt it was binance who encourage you or any investors to invest on high-risk altcoins projects. Binance gave chance to those who want to sell when the dump started to sell imo, But some people held till the ship completely sunk claiming to be diamond hands and loyal investors, so don't blame it on binance, (not that your opinion matters anyway).
The fact is, nobody expected this to happen and people where not prepared for it, the only thing you can do is learn from this incident.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best 2021 shittoken on BNB on: May 15, 2022, 06:20:26 AM
I think that the tokens on binance are 99,9% scam, and I recommend to be careful also to usdc; here I have made a selection of the worst 5. who will win?

If you say that 99.9% of tokens in BSC are a scam, then you must have data and statistics based on the research you have done. It's about a very high percentage, so with this percentage, it will lead to one opinion, that all BSC tokens are scams. 0.1% is a very small number, but in reality there are many legitimate BSC projects.

Caution is necessary, but don't need to be excessive. I understand, you are free to have an opinion, but if the opinion concerns a high percentage, this would be an opinion that is too far-fetched.

People just like to over exaggerate and over stress on things that are not so, it is true there are more scam projects on bsc than any network lately that's probably because it is more cheaper and popular with huge community as well. But to say 99.9% of projects are scams is rather too vague knowing there are no data to back it up.

The irony is, despite knowing this, some investors still chose to hunt for these shit projects in the hope of making quick profit like the shiba inu peeps, so you tell me who is to blame, the poor dev who develop shitcoins or the greedy investors who (knowing fully well the project is complete shit) still went ahead to invest out of greed or bsc network?
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 15, 2022, 05:55:06 AM
He said a  lot of bs on twitter, but the biggest one is when he was trying to calm the people down just in order to dump on them his worthless shitcoin. I do feel sorry for all people that lost money in this, but some were so greedy that even after shit hit the fan, they tried to profit from it and got seriously rekt in the process, like the guy in the screenshot below who converted all his BTC to LUNA. All in all, good riddance.

This guys timing was rather wrong assuming he actually got the nerves to change his btc to something so insanely volatile. If he was able to buy few minutes before the delist (let's say from binance) with busd pairs, he would have made ridiculous profit within that short period.
Although a very high risk and foolish thing to do, best he could have done is throw in few dollars and make quick gains instead of exchanging all his btc. I sincerely hope he didn't carry on with his ridiculous idea.
415  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to unemployment: creating new jobs or early retirement on: May 15, 2022, 05:25:33 AM
Unemployment is a serious problem that even governments in many countries cannot solve.  i am a former employee, the uncertainty of the future and the mediocre salary made me decide to set up my own small business and now it is running smoothly.  It's very difficult to change people's perspectives, only yourself and circumstances can change that because being unemployed is stupid.

True, people rely so much on government to provide jobs for them even when they can easily strive to be self employed. In most countries, the number of underemployed are more than than employed,  while some don't have an issue being underemployed,  others would rather be self employed instead of settling for a mediocre salary. The situation is very difficult, government are finding it hard to meet with the demand to create jobs.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna just became the new Shiba Inu on: May 14, 2022, 04:35:30 PM
Hopefully this incident has thought some investors to be more caution with crypto investment and understand the importance of "invest what you can loss". i see so many people complaining about how they have invested all their life savings, i think that's a pretty irrational and careless behavior on the part of this investors. We should all learn a lesson from this. people should know how to manage risk.
The luna circulation is too huge to expect a $1 price, i doubt this will happen except the team are willing to buy back and burn to reduce luna in circulation.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Ecosystem Revival Plan - Luna V2 WHAT DO YOU THINK? on: May 14, 2022, 03:49:22 PM

what do you think really works?
I think that this plan has already changed many times. Terra and UST are actively trading on Binance, deposits and withdrawals work very quickly. Terra has already risen in price by 500%. But you don't have to be naive. There are huge losses in the ecosystem and no one will recover the losses of hodlers at their own expense.

Most of the investors who where able or have the nerves to buy the bottom while many people thought it was a crazy idea made huge profit within a day. so many members where not in agreement with the proposal made by Do kwon so @op i don't think this is the final decision of the terra luna community perhaps there will be a unanimous proposal that will work if ever there will be saving the project.

419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic People Are Selling BTC And Buying inflationary Fiat For Safety But They on: May 12, 2022, 07:41:04 PM
Probably they are selling to buy back cheaper, nobody knows how deep the price will go, holding it while you can take the chance of increasing your position sound appealing to some people, and they are willing to take the risk.
Fiat may be inflationary but it is very required to buy btc or buy your daily stuff.
There are people who have invested all they have so they will have to protect their investment somehow. People have different reasons for selling during bear market but in the end btc will still come out strong. Anyone who wants to sell it is their choice to make.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 BTC = 1 BTC. You only lose if you sell. You're buying inflationary fiat. on: May 12, 2022, 07:26:33 PM
If the trend is changing because the US raised the rates and they are expected to raise it further - then nothing can save Bitcoin.

Yes, 1 BTC = 1 BTC but what if 1 BTC = 1 BTC = $500

How would those who bought it for $60,000 feel?

Of course, they will feel bad, @op bought his btc back in 2013 so it is easy for him to see things this way, those who bought btc at the to or around 50k are not finding things funny, it is true if you don't sell you haven't lost anything but not everyone understands this, especially the new investors who came in with big hopes and dreams.
This market is not only shaking weak hands.
