Looking forward to a pool, soon...  Great, Thanks!

But WHAT happends to the account numbers? Will the pool keep them as rake??

Or will the person that found the block get to keep the accounts as a bonus?

Fairest thing would be, if the pool is selling it to the pool users with mined coins. The profit can be shared after.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 27, 2017, 07:13:55 PM
Who is account 86646-64 , with 4.7 million coins ? how are they mining so much ?
or am i reading this wrong ?

poloniEx wallet

Noone, that bought the coins there has actually an account, thats why they are kept on polo.
I guess we need a possibility to safely buy accounts soon, otherwise people will loose interest.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 27, 2017, 07:02:53 PM
Interesting silence of the dev. No word after listing at poloniex anymore.
I bet he make his cash and that it is.

Of course he is getting his lambo right now, but I guess he deserves it. And after some (short) time with the hookers he will for sure come back and go on.
Inventive people get bored fast with those low level amusements, if they don't work on further inventions...
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 27, 2017, 04:01:26 PM
Can't check right now (firewall blocks slack) - but I think somewhere around 13BTC per Terra

Current Ti to BTC price is?

Thanks!

Is Iota on an exchange ? Or coinmarketcap?

It is only on Yassin-DEX provided within slack (slack.iotatoken.com -> channel #trading).

I believe it will be on famous exchanges soon (maybe it's last time you see such low prices), because the light-wallet is extremely easy to use and will be stable-released soon.

I guess coinmarketcap follows immediately after, as happens with other coins.

It's been sitting around 11btc per TIota. The units are denoted by uBtc (micro) and GIota on Yassin-DEX. So around 1100 uBtc per GIota. I agree that this could be the last time we see it at this price. It's very under the radar at the moment in the bigger picture.

seems like it found its bottom

Hopefully a lot forget to claim so the foundation gets more funding and will be stronger than ever Cool

I suggest to burn them instead. So every iota is more worthy. Also the ones of the foundation...

KV coin is an example of how I see the komodo ecosystem developing. As coins such as KV get established and succeed, KMD will gain value as the underlying coin.

Somehow I have the feeling that the underlying coins can suffer from ICOs. For example NXT had a steady decline, since it was massively used as ICO relay.

I also can somehow understand why. People, that had a lot of NXT, became rich.
Some cached out already, but the people, who still held were investing a high percentage of their NXT in assets.
But those asset distributors were of course caching out a lot, because they need the money... so it can only lead to decline...

The nodes outside of the lan don't have to connect to you, if you want run a local node/wallet. They only have to know your public ip in order to "allow" your access.
But the nodes you are connecting to have to be public, of course...

Edit: if you want to make your computer public available you have to configure your routers routing tables.

byteball advertisement

byteball advertisement

byteball advertisement

Roll Eyes i wonder if advertisement of other projects is not trolling....

If we implemented an optional "isPublicNode" parameter in the configuration, as I already suggested multiple times, everyone can decide for its own, not to stay "hidden" any more.
And this dubious talk would have been not even possible...
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 17, 2017, 05:13:50 PM
This is because chinese traders have a keen interest in NEM. Maybe it's not as secure as u have been told.

Where's the evidence for that? I haven't seen or heard of many peeps out of China, plenty elsewhere in Asia though. The Chinese seem to be more conservative when it comes to alts compared to other bits of the world.

But what is a clear lie for us, is considered competition in china, if it comes to products.
Didn't you see the numerous highest electrical and quality standard products for 9.99? Wink
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 15, 2017, 11:31:09 PM
Guys, I have a short question:

can IOTA wallet be successfully run on PC behind a NAT router, or should it be run on a machine with public IP only?
I mean if I want to exchange peers while being behind a NAT, will it work, or I'll need to add static mappings on the router to forward some ports IOTA uses?

Guys, is my question above too hard to nobody can answer, or it is too stipid, so nobody want to answer..? Smiley

I basically ask whether there is a way to have a IOTA-enabled machine running in the corporate LAN, or in a home network behind a NAT router..? How peer-adding needs to be done in that case?

I suppose that is a common scenario, so there should have been discussions about that. Many (I would assume - the majority of) IoT devices will run in a private LAN, being protected by NAT firewall, so botnets cannot infect them. So if we want IOTA wallet to run on them, they need to be able to connect to other nodes outside the LAN, and (the most tricky part) the nodes outside the LAN need to connect to them! With current manual peer-discovery (where the other peer needs real public IP:port to connect) it could be tricky. Opening a static mapping for any single IoT device could be a tiresome task for the net admin. UPNP then? But does IOTA client have a UPNP? Could anyone point me to some discussion or paper about this?
yes, you can run the wallet behind a NAT router http://iotasupport.com/tutorials.shtml

Very kind of you Smiley. But I see not a single page on those tutorials answering my questions above, or even touching that topic (running without static ip is completely different topic). Is there anybody here who is familiar with network administration and can answer my questions/concerns? I suppose there should be one... Undecided

Wow! Very nice graphics rnr!

Yes they do a great job and are very enthusiastic. But isn't that a little risky, if a big amount of notary nodes is in the hand of only 2 people?
Maybe I am overanxious because I don't know all the facts and numbers...
How much power do they have after election?

Official rules, 4 nodes max per candidate. We backup each other, but both of us are independent. Together we are able to work more efficient (just one example: our common campaign has additional value for the whole project) in the interest of Komodo. In case one of us (or both of course) are unreliable or some other bad things happen the other operators are able to "kick" us out.

EDIT: The electorates need to vote for rnr OR kolo! In the elections we are two separate node operators. And there´s no way to vote for both of us in the same region in the same time/with the same ICO account.

ok understood, sorry for bothering.

Do all existing byteball addresses will be granted bytes in the second round or we have to register them somewhere?

All bytes in your wallet at time of the snapshot will receive new bytes and blackbytes, you don't need to register them. Registering is only for linking BTC addresses.

and the linked addresses stay linked for the second round?

Anschnallen.
