441  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Cryptocurrency on: June 05, 2018, 09:07:53 PM
Great content, easy to understand, not much junk words and is more on the positive side(which is what I like the most haha) all in all, a very nice article to read, great job. Anyways, I believe that cryptos will truly be more known widely in the world and will truly achieve mass adoption sooner or later because of the innovation that it offers to our world. I just hope that when time comes that bitcoins can be used to buy beer, I am still alive and kicking.
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is a constant rise in the price of Bitcoin, important? on: June 05, 2018, 09:03:39 PM
Let's say you bought a bitcoin for $1000 in January 2018. <Just an example, not the real price at the time>

So you have to beat inflation and also the performance of other investments to say that your Bitcoin investment was a better investment, than other alternative investments.

Let's say your inflation is 5% and your best return on some other investment is %20 per year, then your Bitcoin price increase will have to be more than %25 to beat the alternative investment.

Let's say you hoard for 5 years, then you would need a price increase of 125% to beat your alternative investment returns over 5 years.

So we cannot have a price increase of 800% in year 1 and then a price decrease of %400 in year 2 and another price decrease of 200% in year 3 and so on...

Hope you get at what I am saying. Hoarding might be harmful to your profits, if you do not cash out SOME profit on the ATH.  Wink ..... You might end up with a bitcoin worth $100 in year 5.  Roll Eyes

Valid point. Although I agree with your thought, I think that it is one sided. I mean, just think about it, you only made last year as an example. If you tried to make an example out of the start of bitcoin then I think that it will not agree with your point. You see, the prices has gone way up than what it was back then. Sure, if a person invests stupidly, then he will surely lose a lot of money. But if he only invests money he can throw away and just continue to put more extra to invest then not touch it, I am pretty sure that it will be worth a fortune if the history of bitcoins continue to move the way it did.
443  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: June 05, 2018, 08:58:07 PM
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?

You know what, I have tried and thought about a lot of ways to manage my funds on both fiat and crypto and the one I like the most is the one I use now. Okay, here is what I do; when I get profits, I reserve 30% to be converted into fiat and put into a bank, 15% to be placed in a well known crypto like bitcoin, ethereum, etc., and 15% on a new promising coin, and 30% will stay as it is, and then the remaining 10% would be converted into fiat and cashed out to buy things I need or want to reward myself. Hope this helps.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: Charity Accepting Bitcoins? on: June 05, 2018, 08:53:17 PM
If there is a charity accepting bitcoins do you prefer to give some of yours Huh

Me: I will if there is, but for now I don't have yet. Wink

EDITED:

Yeah it a hassle for now.

Another question: But what if there is fiat will be disappear in the future and crypto will conquered the world and all payment transactions will be on blockchain system?
So is this applicable right?

It truly is a hassle if we look at the first question. But if the case was as the second question, then I think that it will truly be possible and would in fact be a lot more easier than the traditional way of donating to the less fortunate. But the thing is that this happening to the world is still a bit impossible and may take a lot of years before it does. But yeah, if this does happen, why not share if you have too much right?
445  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of bitcoin rapidly going down on: June 05, 2018, 08:50:13 PM
The news in term of development are actually decent, with LN getting closer to a release, so I think this is just temporary. Smiley

Man, I cannot imagine how devastated and disappointed you are right now that what you thought was temporary lasted for quite a long time than what you have anticipated. In fact, became worse and then gave a sign of hope then went down again. But hey, no worries, eventually the prices will go up sooner or later, just don't panic sell and you'll be fine(Damn, I hope you didn't panic sell).
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expected predictions on: June 05, 2018, 08:47:36 PM
I will wait for that time to arrive, because I believe the bitcoin price by the end of 2018 will soar.
I will keep the spirit to collect coins for my future.
although this month, bitcoin prices are worse than December of 2017, but I still believe it.
Can not be denied, the growth of Bitcoin value in 2017 is arguably fantastic. However, this criticism of cryptocurrency is analogous to a 'bubble' (because it continues to fly high but can 'erupt' anytime)

The year 2017 seems to be the period of proof for Bitcoin as the most calculated cryptocurrency. One climax occurs when the digital currency recorded a record high with the value (USD 19,796) on December 17 last.
Experts also predict that with these achievements, Bitcoin has the potential to record a much higher value next year.
"Bitcoin can reach (USD 60,000) by December 2018," said Mike Dumont, Senior Editor of Bitcoin.com

As good as it sounds and as much as people want it to happen and believe in, I do not think that it will be easy for everyone to just believe in what other people say because of what just happened earlier this year that has devastated a lot of investors and coin holders, be it bitcoin or altcoin enthusiasts. But I believe sooner or later trust in this industry will come back and would lead to more investors and then fomo and a chain reaction happens and if lucky, we just might reach that 60k prediction.

448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the reasons behind banning cryptos? on: May 28, 2018, 05:45:27 PM
Some countries have already banned cryptos. But i am not sure behind the reasons. Could you please share your thoughts on the reasons of banning cryptos?
Regards

There are tons of reasons as to why a lot of countries has banned cryptos ranging from care for the people in their country to personal reasons and hidden agendas. But the reasons that are pretty common are the potential of it being use for criminality or illegal transactions, another would be money laundering, and then there's the volatility.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Trusted ICOs on: May 28, 2018, 05:36:10 PM
What are your top 5 ICOS with good projects and that you can actually trust ?

It would really seem very biased if I said that the best that I think there is now is the bidium project but, honestly speaking, I personally think that the concept of this project is really very amazing and is truly deserving for support. I am saying this because I really see the potential and I would really doubt that a project with a concept as great as what bidium has, will ever fail. But that's just my opinion, just read the white paper and decide for yourself.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many assholes in ICO industry? on: May 28, 2018, 05:31:26 PM

I could not agree with this more. This is really true and is really happening since the start of the ICOs. I mean, I am not that surprised but just can't help to feel bad about it since instead of being professionals as what people think they are, they act like zoo animals that do as they want because they can or just hates the fact that the other is having better feed backs, gains, and so much more. In fact, I think that people like this will absolutely be increasing more in the next few day, weeks, months and even years. This is human nature and we cannot fight it.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The adoption of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. on: May 28, 2018, 05:25:45 PM
Hello, I am new in this forum and going to complete my academic life. In my research project I am working on the adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency. And I would like to get your thoughts regarding the adoption of blockchain as well as cryptocurrency.
Thanks in advance for your time and effort and cooperation.

Nice topic. I am pretty sure that your research will really have high marks. Anyways, this industry is as what we all know already, not yet fully legal to the whole world since a lot of people are still very skeptical about this new technology, specially the governments. The reason as to why is because this technology is still very young compared to the monetary system that we all have gotten used to. Meaning, there are still a lot of cons or flaws that are present in this technology. Although some countries and groups of people are already seeing the advantages and benefits of adopting this innovation, the numbers are still too small compared to the ones that are against it. Legalization and adoption will surely happen, the only question here is when.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coins for 2x profit on: May 28, 2018, 05:19:50 PM
Which coin you guys suggest to buy now for short term

Look man, I suggest that you go and try to do your own research rather than just ask about it in this forum and hope for an easy way or shortcut to great profits. I am not telling you what to do but just warning you because there will be a lot of people here that will be only giving troll advises or just give advises to promote the coins that they are invested in.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins to buy? on: May 28, 2018, 05:17:11 PM
I would suggest you to go with coins which are less than a dollar as they have maximum chances of giving you higher ROI. But go with one which promises a promising future growth. I would suggest you to go with REM token. It is a blockchain based security model that will help prevent security breaches. It has potential to grow in long term.

I agree, most of the time, the coins that really give great profits to investors are projects that are worth less than a dollar. But as what you have said, op must really choose wisely since there are clearly a lot of crappy coins out there that have crappy concepts that does not even solve real problems in this world or in this industry. Doing research always pays off so I wish op really does research hard enough before investing.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019 on: May 28, 2018, 04:57:54 PM
Well obviously, we all know that this claim is truly near impossible if not completely impossible since bitcoins truly have a lot of supporters all over the world and most of the people who invest in other coins also hold bitcoins. Don't get me wrong, I like NEO and have nothing against it. In fact, I really do think that it is a great coin and a great investment. But truth be told, NEO replacing bitcoins from the top of the ladder is just too far of a stretch.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the top advantages of using cryptocurrencies? on: May 28, 2018, 04:54:48 PM
I believe that there are so many usages of cryptocurrency. But to be specific, could you please let me know the top advantages of cryptocurrency that will trigger me to invest in this industry right now?

It ain't our duty to convince you to invest but what the hell. Now, for me personally, I have invested in this industry simply because I loved the coolness of bragging about it to my friends that I have a piece of what people are talking about. And then later on, when I saw profits, and the success stories of many in this industry, I got more into it which is why I am here.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: May 28, 2018, 04:47:01 PM
Hi guys , I am a begginner in the crypto world , after a long study of the market , rules and regulations research. I am ready to start inversting . First stop that catched my interest is orbis https://orbistransfer.com . Because it has paypal and card purchase . No kyc and country restrictions so I can buy it from US. $500 dollars allocated .
Any other promising icos ? What do you recomend.

Update. btt link for who wants to review my first choice : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3844192.0

Really cannot say which is which but what I can say is that it is always better to not ask for opinions from random people here in the forum since a lot of people may give crappy advice or misleading ones just to promote their favorite coins. What you should do is to do your own research well enough so you won't have to ask for some suggestions that may lead to losses than profits.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: May 28, 2018, 04:40:40 PM
Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

If you think about it, there are already quite a lot of competitors for ethereum that are already existing in this industry as of today and there are still more to come but as an ethereum supporter, I really do not worry that much since despite having some drawbacks and disadvantages from other coins, it is still one of the most popular coins and most used in this industry next to bitcoins.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty campaign - waste of time or great passive income? on: May 15, 2018, 11:59:28 PM
Crypto world is in crysis now and it's not only due to red market but also because of tons of scam ICOs. And that pisses a lot of bounty hunters off cause scam ICOs produce useless unworthy tokens! People waste sometimes several months to participatein bounty and either get no tokens or get shitcoins.

It's so hard now to find a good bounty. eCoinomic.net platform is running one now and it looks pretty solid and trustworthy, they also predict a balanced growth for CNC token https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2897866.msg29799978#msg29799978

But how do you guys know if your bounty is trustable? Why do you personally trust bounty you're participating in right now?

Bounties are truly a great job that offers decent rewards and more if you get to choose the right one and be able to hold for longer times than the rest. I believe that most of the bounty hunters in this forum has already gotten a lot out of their efforts. It is only a matter of working hard and smartly to gain lots of income. Doing your own research is the best strategy to find the hidden gems in this industry. Be it in ICO phase or already on exchanges.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: May 15, 2018, 11:56:26 PM
No one actually knows the future, but, since peoples are buying cryptocurrencys and trusting them as a stuff with a value, eveything should be okay until something bad happens which is not predicted atm.

True enough. clearly, people are not yet capable of traveling into the future and back in time to know what will happen next. If this was possible, the person who could do that would have probably gotten so rich already. But looking at the pace and the concepts of the projects nowadays, I am pretty sure that altcoins will be able to survive and live even longer than our great great great grand children.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do advisors really matter? on: May 15, 2018, 11:50:18 PM
What do you guys think about advisors and their roles in projects? Recently saw algebraix announce their advisors and they're not the typical blockchain advisors most projects have, but seem very strategic in both the blockchain world and traditional business world.

https://www.coinbureau.com/press-release/algebraix-welcomes-leaders-advisory-board/

How do you think projects should go about bringing on advisors?

LOL, nice advertising skills you have there mate. haha. Anyways, I seriously cannot say anymore. Because even with the fact that advisors really do a lot to make a project flourish, it is pretty obvious that nowadays, projects just put in various advisors that have names in this industry as much as they can if they can afford it not for their minds alone but for the hype of the project. So while I think advisors are important for ideas, they are also important to make a project more famous.
