442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: November 19, 2020, 03:47:27 AM
Most bitcoin prices are tied to an average or a collection of what the top exchanges publish as the current bitcoin price. But who's actually moving their prices? From my understanding, retail users don't have the power to move prices in the short term. Whales supposedly are the ones who can make the price suddenly jump or drop...but they trade on OTC desks right? not on retail exchanges....so how are these Whale movements being reflected on retail exchanges to determine what the current bitcoin price is? Or are there actually some whales who use the exchanges to trade on?

Demand dude.. it's always has been the demand. Even the high companies that adopts and uses Bitcoin wouldn't give such pump impact if the demand would be lesser. Trading tends to depends on how much the liquidity is and what would be the demand. Once they are both huge, expect the market either going sideways or up above. Hence, it's not really "who" that moves the price, its "who are".

Meanwhile, whales do also have a huge effect in the price, but it will be much effective when it would be combined with proper marketing and social media articles to hype up the people, making the demand go more and more.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: looking for eur stable currency developer idea on: November 18, 2020, 06:04:58 PM
Do you have any idea how the market works? That wasn't just that easy that you can make a token that will be tethered to a fiat currency to be stable, and make yourself multibillionaire out of it WITHOUT CAPITAL. Yes, you can earn if your platform and idea would be as innovative and useful as possible. But keep in mind that HAVING PROFIT being as your primary objective in making a project wouldn't make you success at all, you wouldn't even have any loyal investors. Also, not because a project can gain huge demand would mean that it will sky rocket, you never knew dumping dont you?

Overall, I don't see any 'innovative and useful' ideas here, nor any importance of making two same threads in a single board. I only see profit-seeking objective  Roll Eyes

I don't understand this. Is this going to affect bitcoin prices for good or bad? If I didn't get this wrong then it means it will go more upwards in the upcoming days... amirite?

It doesn't really impact that much but if it would, then it will be a positive one. The side trend often tends to be the same as what happens back in 2017 before the 20K USD pump rise of BTC that also had the huge transfer shown in the image. As most bitcoin analysts and crypto enthusiasts are expecting, with this events (transfers of huge BTC), price will slowly be not dumping so hard and might go sideways again, which can inflict another pump that can be above 20KUSD ATH mark.

Hey Hhampuz and the Roobet team, may I ask, can a user submit the same artwork on both digital art contest and this merch design contest? I mean what if I created an art that can also befit on a merch, would that be acceptable? Planning to make a sound in designing now. Hoping to win this one Cheesy

448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ethereum/Bitcoin Wallet Balance Calculator on: November 14, 2020, 09:30:34 PM
Anyone here knows what website or platform I can use to check my Bitcoin wallet address or Ethereum how much already the profits or losses I already made from the time/date I deposited some amount of Bitcoin/Ethereum?
It's like it will show you the price of Ethereum/Bitcoin for every time that address received funds.

What do you mean how much the profit and loss? do you mean the difference of the price point that you received the amount compared to its actual price in the current time? I think it would be simple yet complex to program a script that connects the blockchain API and finds the certain btc price of the receiving/sending date and time, API that finds the histories of a wallet's transaction, and compare it to the current price of the market. Good idea btw, if I managed to finish some of my projects, I might consider trying this one. But TBH, I don't see any necessities of doing so. If you spent your btc, you never mind how much you should've saved. And if you still holding it, I never see the importance of knowing how much you earned from the point you've received it.
449  Economy / Reputation / Re: maartenhaha --purchased or hacked account on: November 14, 2020, 08:37:52 PM
Should we flag him first or wait for him to respond and give valid evidences on how he can prove that his account is his own since the day it was created? I see it would be tough to know if he would tell the truth but I guess it is also better if we let him speak. Though the evidences were already adding up to the fact and conclusion of his account being sold/hacked, it is still better to know the opposing side. Supporting the flag as well but would be deleted once the accused user proved himself right.

I do not quite understand what flag you are talking about Huh Huh Huh. And if we talk about the opinion of the owner of the hacked account, then if you scroll above, then note that he was here, and even sent some merit. But he did not dispute the fact of full ownership of the account.

Hehe I'm talking about giving red trust to the accused user which I did(I often say flag and prefers to negative feedback lol). Oh, I didn't noticed the merit sent by the accused. Well apparently YOSHIE's finds seems to finalize that maartenhaha's account was sold. If it would be hacked, there would be someone who would initiate a post regarding a hack of an account even back then. Also, the account seemed to just be an alt, so no wonder why he managed to not give a damn about the accusation anymore. Overall, pls lock this thread to prevent unnecessary bumps.
450  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Analytical Crypto Services & Tools on: November 14, 2020, 07:05:33 PM
@Ratimov,

It seems that you are an avid user whom dedicates his time in making informative threads that were mostly lists of useful platforms/products with regards to a certain topic. May I suggest that you make a list of all telegram channels that offers AMA programs and those groups that were a composed of investors. Many might find it useful as they can have a thread of links of trusted telegram channels that can help one decide on what and which project or crypto should be invested on. I just got that idea but I know less channels, and I know you are more capable of pulling this off. Thanks!

Meanwhile, I do plan of making a list of telegram channels of all platforms (categorized on what their platform is about) that already published their link here in the forum. I don't think it would be that hard, yet I also don't know if it exists.
451  Other / Meta / Re: Why is there still no trust shown in Project Development? on: November 14, 2020, 06:33:59 PM
Here is an excellent example.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288835.0

Person asking for $295 for an improbable concept with no technical knowledge.

What warns the user this is a probable scam project?

A huge reply on his thread that they were a probable scam. While the thread is self moderated, I guess it must be the user's/investor's initiative to take a look at the user's trust first. Though not all are fond of making checks as they "believe" by just fraudulent threads, I don't think the admin would consider making trust visible on the board at all, as there are really  less to none users whom have interested in investing on projects yet never double checks the integrity of the one who offers. If this issue never moves forward, I do suggest of locking the thread immediately.
452  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Arcticminers.com SCAM Website Review. on: November 14, 2020, 06:06:51 PM
I think the moderators must lock this thread now. I guess the OP seems to just trolling or falsely accusing some platform yet fails to provide valid evidences with the accusation. Meanwhile, I've seen no issues with the Arctic miner's platform or any flaws that it might be shady. They are even transparent with their physical office and phone number. Hence, I don't see any legitimate accusation in here.

There are many online websites out there for hardware for mining, I don't think people would even believe and be scammed to them as they were knowledgeable in mining and so do fraudulent services.

454  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what is the lowest fee platform for buying selling bitcoin at this time? on: November 14, 2020, 05:07:18 PM
~

If you really hate fees, I guess Binance and Bestchange are the platforms that suits best for you. They offer the lowest (I guess) fees on the market. If you were a day trader with an active trading habit, better use Binance. But if you would want to buy crypto from time to time for personal reasons, Bestchange suits you the best. Both platforms do also qualify on your priorities of having less fees and being convenient platform.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: XGambleOnline.com - Home of the XGAT Token (learn more) on: November 14, 2020, 04:36:04 PM
Just a little suggestion:

Please just make the span of the cookie popup above and let it be accurate to the whole platform's language. I'm on english xgambleonline yet the Cookie advisory is in Spanish (i guess). It also shouldn't be on top but rather must take atleast 20% of the viewport/window and must be located at the bottom part of the window.

And BTW, where is your Terms and Conditions? I've read below that we should read it yet I found no links in your website about it. Will keep an eye on this for more suggestions.
456  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: CAGAYAN NEEDS HELP‼️‼️‼️‼️ on: November 14, 2020, 02:56:33 PM
Also I saw a thread nadin created ng ating kababayan na si Insanerman, which is ito https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288720.0 lets help each other mga kabayan. Keep safe everyone.

Thanks for mentioning me, sana lang talaga may magpagawa na but then if wala namang magiging interested mag donate and magpagawa, I'll still continue this journey by just taking a part of my payments sa sig camp na sinasalihan and donate it directly to those who are in need.

Thank you guys. My bad I didn't see their post. I hope we all make it together. Sobrang kawawa nung mga nasalanta ng bagyo. Sana mabigyan agad sila ng agarang tulong.
Keep safe y'all and God help us all.

No problem na triny mo pading mag initiate ng thread to help people. But as of now, I guess it's better to lock this thread kasi you've made your point naman na.

Maybe you haven't seen those people na ginamit yung nangyayari for their stupid monkey businesses. I've seen some na tinangay yung donation while some bought for their leisure shits. You should also try to lessen your usage of social media, madami toxic.

Please look at my service thread and kung tingin nyo may in need of designs or vector arts na kakilala nyo paki sabi nalang I'll disclose my personal info sa fb sa mga magiging interesado na pinoy para madali nila kong mareach out.

Good luck cabalism and be safe!
Thanks.

I also do want to confirm that I received the funds of 0.09+  for this activity #UlyssesAidPH,... I will do what I can to give help for the victims of the calamity...

Update:

Another unknown sender of 1BTC.
I really appreciate the help especially for trusting me this kind of amount (the sum of money is kinda huge, so entrusting this to me is really an honor). I will do my very best not to let you down, you'll be able to see that this funds are being distributed fairly to those who are in need.

Wow! That's a huge amount. I've also planned to donate but a service for a cause. I've recently published a thread for a designing offer and donation as their payment. Can I just link the donations to you? I thought this charity would be for COVID (as it originally were), so maybe I'd update my thread that all of the donations would be sent directly onto you. Also, there's a lot of movement and donation drives out there that already on the run and I guess you should try to reconsider donating some to them as well (for a lesser load).

Would also donate next week in here after my campaign's payment distribution. Hoping that a little money would deal a huge help.

459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 13, 2020, 11:38:33 PM
investigate and have knowledge of the company that we are going to buy, its stock or currency that you are going to trade

Actually, stock market is the only market where you can investigate a company. Fiat currencies ofcourse depends on the economy of a country and how they manage to have a good import and export that would affect their fiat. Meanwhile, cryptocurrencies are often decentralized, in which no one can even speculate if such currency can be good for a longterm or not. Some companies are having their own crypto, but mostly for a purpose that wouldn't affect their shares nor them having any control of it (IF decentralized). Hence, trading success can only be measured by experience of how often you lost and how often you stood up from such loss.
460  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Diginomics Corporation - probable scam on: November 13, 2020, 11:00:30 PM
I'd be Interested to hear OP's comments on my following questions

The Bitcoin Chip is a full blockchain node running on a mobile SIM card which allows the user to store, receive, and authorize bitcoin payments.
Running a full node requires a good amount of storage whereas SIM cards provide only up to a few kb's (128 max I reckon). Are they going to invent their own SIM cards? Which potentially means the network connectivity would require their own telecommunication tower?  Shocked

Indeed. SIM cards can only hold up with less than an MB in which as of now, SIM cards are modules that connects to radio frequency through telecommunication towers. Even 4G/5G SIM cards which have improving speed still typically relies on towers hence. As of now, there are still no researches about a SIM card being capable of having an internet connection without being connected to a cellular tower, and would even be impossible (not unless the people would believe that Nikola Tesla would be back from the dead and make an invention where internet can be accessed in  thin air lol)
