I think Napoli could lose Osimhen earlier than Kvaratskhelia to another team. I mean actually both of these players have been showing impressive performances. But Osimhen's contract expiration time (2026) is one year closer than Kvaratskhelia now. The chairman De Laurentiis was able to extend by only one year with Osimhen the last time.

I think this clearly shows that Osimhen wants to think about his options on one hand. That must be why he didn't want to have a long term relationship anymore. At one point Napoli would lose both of these players probably but the question is: when?  Smiley

For now Monaco is more on a better chance to compete with Brest on the second position because they both have a very close points unlike Lille and Lens that still have like 3 points lower than Brest and Monaco, although anything is possible because it all depends on there efforts and courage, so if they put more focus on there matches they could raise there points and compete for the second position, however on the 17th Brest will be meeting Lille and in as much as Lille is on the lower position than Brest but there meeting is not always easy on Brest because I remember how there last match went, Brest losing against Lille and also the way I'm looking at it Brest make not likely last longer on the second position because they seem to have decreased in performance lately because even Lens won them on there last meeting, so I believe that very soon the second position will fall among Monaco, Lille or Lens because they are of good performance than Brest right now.

I wish Monaco were in much better condition than this. I still remember their golden age with Falcao and many more really skilled players like him. It must be like seven years ago that they even won the Ligue 1 title.  Smiley  It doesn't feel good to say "even" for this because of an enormous PSG domination as well but there is nothing we can do about it.  Sad

I know being bought by very rich people is really good for that team but not the same for the quality of the league. But rather than seeing only one team dominating the league it would be better to see more teams being able to compete for the title in the Ligue 1. I know it wouldn't still be fair for the rest of the teams but at least we would see some real competition for the title.

Last night I saw how much I was wrong about Atletico Madrid. I saw Inter as a way higher favourite to reach the quarter finals. Especially after seeing Inter scoring first I was more confident. I think if it weren't for Griezmann's very early answer this comeback might not have got real. We saw how important Griezmann is for this team once again. I saw his condition as doubtful until the game time got very close.

However I think the biggest share in this huge comeback and win belongs to Simeone. Because his moves in the second half made a big impact on the game.  Smiley  By the way the penalty Lautaro missed might haunt him for a while.  Sad

If I must choose which option, is still very best to bet, and I would say that I will pick Roma. Brighton is only getting more advantage when it plays at home soon, but I'm concerned about the mentality owned by the club. Roma is leading the way compared to the brighton.
It means Brighton has a big chance of losing against Roma. I consider the players' mentality the most important thing a club needs to win the competition.

Look at the odds and how big bookies have given the odds for roma to win the current game. it seemed to me that if roma is likely winning the game soon

Right now it is like 1.79 - 4.30 - 4.00 so Brighton are still quite favoured for the win here.  Smiley  Honestly I'm expecting to see a win by Brighton today. If you ask me why I expect such result I can say that I'm expecting De Rossi to rotate his usual lineup. Because they already have a 4-0 advantage and they have a Serie A game to play in only three days.

But when it comes to De Zerbi he doesn't need to do such thing. He can use his best players available as long time as possible because of not having any other game until the end of the month. I'm seriously thinking adding Brighton win to my parlay for now.

I would like to point out an important information about Kane's record probability. In the previous season Kane scored 30 goals in 38 games in the Premier League. Now he has done the same thing but in only 25 games. You see the big difference, right?  Smiley  If he especially maintains his current form in the recent couple of games why wouldn't he break a new record in the Bundesliga?

But a really big consistency is needed in the remaining weeks. There were some games Kane didn't score a goal in it in the past as well. If we see the same graph again then it would be really difficult to break the record. Whether he breaks it or not the Bundesliga is much easier for him now.  Wink

Viktor Gyökeres started to shine at Coventry first and later we started to watch him at Sporting. I can also easily say his performance so far has been great this season. 33 goals and 12 assists in a total of 37 games... This is just superb effort! His being 25 years old is also a good thing about him to be targeted by Arsenal. You know how close Arsenal are interested in such players according to their policies.  Grin

But I don't expect Arteta to rush anything yet. There should surely be many alternatives like him out there. Honestly I would rather see them signing a star striker. It would be a big improvement for the squad. I still respect them of course, especially Arteta (considering from where he brought the team to this level  Smiley).

Another rumor is circulating; we've seen several reports linking De Bruyne to a Saudi Pro League club but I believe this rumor is gradually becoming true since there are more signs came and it likes tell us if this news will come true but not yet clear whether de bruyne will accept or deny it.
Quote
Saudi Pro League clubs have registered interest in a summer deal for Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old playmaker is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium in 2025.

It is understood that De Bruyne has been made a top target by Saudi clubs as they prepare for another summer of heavy spending to grow the popularity of their league.

City have previously done business with Saudi clubs with Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte leaving last summer for a combined fee of £55million.

Saudi clubs are willing to pay a transfer fee north of £100million and offer De Bruyne a lucrative contract to lure him to the Middle East.
source: https://www.footballinsider247.com/kevin-de-bruyne-man-city-braced-for-100m-saudi-bid-sources/

...

This rumour has actually been active for quite a long time. But as long as Guardiola remains at Manchester City I don't know whether De Bruyne would like to make such decision easily. I know he is 32 years old now but he can still be very useful for the team for a couple of more years.  Smiley  I believe many people think the same about the topic.

His performance since he recovered from his injury has also been proving this. Despite playing in really low amount of games his impact has still been huge on nearly all of them. While he is this eager to play Guardiola would like to keep him in his team I think.

Marseille is having their positive outbreaks. They just started another winning streaks of three games in a row, but last time they did it when they recovered from the bad start into the season, it was followed by another few weaker games. But Lens and Lille have shown some weaker games and now I think Marseille is looking at the UEFA competitions again. It was out of the question that they could reach it when they were still at the bottom of the table and nobody understood what was going on with them. But now they have got a good number of games left and I think everything is possible again.

They are still playing against Lille, Nice and Lens, which means they can make these teams drop more points and the Champions League qualification phase position on rank 4 is possible again.

Yeah have you seen the improvement in Aubameyang's performance since Jean-Louis Gasset's starting to manage the team? He also started to be fired up after this change and scored 8 goals in his last 5 games.  Smiley

On the other hand I know a new manager is usually motivating the team to play much better for a while. This is seen at so many teams in the world. We will find out if Gasset will really make difference for Marseille in the long run. Nice could be the next team to replace their manager shortly.  Tongue  Francesco Farioli might be really likely to get sacked if we see this horrible form much longer. I wonder what their main goal was to achieve in the league this season.

I have no doubts about Liverpool in the European League. And initially I also had no doubts about Leverkusen. Because they are a very solid team in the Bundesliga. But seeing the results of Leverkusen's first leg match which only managed to hold Qarabag FK to a draw made me a little disappointed with them. Fortunately, for the second leg, Leverkusen will definitely benefit because they will play as hosts.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will score more goals in the second leg. Because in fact Liverpool could even be said to have been safe from qualifying for the next stage even since the first leg. Because 5-1 on aggregate will really be very difficult for Sparta Prague. Because they need a miracle to be able to catch up.

Liverpool's job is like 99% done for me in this phase. Because honestly there is no way Sparta Prague are coming back from an embarrassing score like 5-1 from now on.  Smiley  By the way I'm not saying it like Sparta Prague were too bad in the first leg. The score shouldn't misguide anyone. It could have even ended 5-3 or 5-4 if Sparta Prague didn't waste big chances.

Klopp will most probably rotate his usual lineup quite a lot in the rematch but Liverpool still should be fine to advance.  Smiley  When it comes to Leverkusen they should also be able to win home next time. But Qarabag have my respect as well after making a big effort until this phase. Playing solid as a team has brought them to this point.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: March 13, 2024, 08:37:11 AM
There are two types of gamblers I know the most. One of them is a gambler who gambles with a low amount of money whose aim is no more than having fun. In this type it isn't much important for that gambler how much they lose. Because they just want to boost the fun more while watching that event. There are many people who think it is more exciting to follow an event in this way.

The other type is one who likes to take bigger risks by betting larger amounts of money. This type of people should be much more aware of what they are doing. Maybe they can be rich such as Drake example.  Tongue  In this case it wouldn't matter to them too much. But if it is rather an addiction then they can lose even their life savings.  Sad
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 13, 2024, 08:24:27 AM
I didn't think Porto could play this well. Even they can make it difficult for Arsenal. The possession of the ball is also not much different, which means that Porto also plays open. It even seems that Porto play more effectively, he can make 3 shots on target while Arsenal can only 4 shots on target. Of course, this victory destroyed the bad tradition of failing to enter the quarterfinals. They had to wait 14 years to enter the quarterfinals.

I totally agree, I also thought the same about this game. I believed Arsenal would finish the job in regular time if they get ahead in the first half. But they had huge difficulties here. Despite even playing 7 minutes of stoppage time that second goal still didn't come. I think they played even worse in the second half which I didn't understand at all.

If they are barely able to eliminate Porto then I don't know what they will do against probably more challenging opponents next time.  Sad  Maybe and hopefully it was due to the fatigue after the Brentford game they played three days before this game.

Things are going on just the way Marseille want. Maybe Lens won but Lille and Nice lost points in the meantime. The point gap with the team in the fourth position is only three points. While Marseille are on the rise with their new manager they had better maintain this good form as much as possible. They still have a good chance to join the Champions League as I said before.

I'm curious about what Brest will do in the remaining weeks. They have done a really good work so far. Maybe they lost against Lens the last time but they are still doing just fine at the second position. They are a surprising team to be seen there. As I like their competitive nature this season I hope they can join the Champions League too.  Smiley

Officials can be dead in the head at times and it's football, it happened already and can we do something about it to reverse that incident? I do t think so.
The match official also protected Kyle Walker for his reckless challenge twice yesterday. He should have been red carded if he had stepped on Luiz Diaz yesterday but good he made wise decisions while tracking back and defending.

It was clear penalty, that wrong and short pass from Nathan Ake kept Manchester City in that situation. Ake has never really been a bad player actually but I do think it was due to the high pressure from Liverpool that made him kae that lose decision.
Virgil Van Dirk and the others made sure to keep Erling Haaland silent. I think this is a tactical approach for Arteta to also prepare for Manchester City next week. I'm coming to believe that Manchester City cannot beat Arsenal. You think so also?

Yeah there is nothing to do about the decision from now on. But this kind of mistakes made by the referees are really frustrating. Even while you have a VAR system in your hands you are still making simple mistakes...

van Dijk was really good in this game. I didn't see Haaland being able to do anything as well. When it comes to the Manchester City - Arsenal game I'm not feeling the same about it. I know Arsenal beat them in their previous game in the league. Manchester City have been winning the games against Arsenal at Etihad for many years. I think this series won't end by this game too. But honestly I would really like to see Arsenal getting some points from Manchester City.  Grin
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 11, 2024, 04:26:14 PM
It was a tough match in the starting that delay Real Madrid to scored the first goal at 21 minutes, because Celta Vigo players was not playing like a team that entered relegation in the first half and they battle with Real Madrid to ensure the 45 minutes ended up 1-0.  Real Madrid still got the results they want from the match at the end, because their coach gave them words of encouragement that made the second half to change positively for Real Madrid strikers and defender to gain full access to celta Vigo goalpost to achieved four goals from the match without allowed their opponent to score a single goal from the match. The points Real Madrid have now, show that it will be difficult for Barcelona and other teams to take over the position from Real Madrid because they have what it takes to win this la Liga league title this season.

It was really nice to see Arda Guler scoring a goal only five minutes after entering the game.  Smiley  He even entered in the 89th minute. This is a great starting point for his Real Madrid career. Ancelotti has wanted to wait for the right time according to him to give Arda Guler chances in the league. We have watched him playing for a really short amount of time in a few games.

Despite having a really limited time his being able to score a cold-blooded goal there was nice to see. I understand Ancelotti about the difficulty of giving young and skilled players so much playing time while there are so many good players of course. But I hope Ancelotti continues to care about this kind of players.

PSV are having a really enormous season in the Eredivisie. However I don't believe they are strong enough to eliminate Dortmund in this round. Dortmund could have already won the first leg but PSV managed to get a draw. But this time I think Dortmund will finish the job in Germany. They should be able to show the quality gap in this game.

I know Dortmund aren't doing well in the Bundesliga. Their Champions League chance is in danger as they might finish out of top four as well. However their performance in the Champions League has been more impressive. Considering their group phase performance they should be able to get past PSV too.  Smiley

Just a year and a half ago, he already extended his contract with the club (until 2027), now it is obvious that he has turned into a top player and City wants to sign him with an obviously longer contract and a larger compensation amount. This probably won’t be difficult to do, since Foden has been a City fan since childhood and is as loyal as possible, but if I were him, I wouldn’t be in much of a hurry, since there are still 3 years ahead - why rush? Plus, he's already won everything he could with City, so maybe it's worth leaving some room for maneuver.

You have a good point there as well. Considering his current contract still has three more years to expire there isn't any need to be in a hurry to sign another shortly.

Besides he should think about the possibility of Guardiola's departure in the future as well. We all know Guardiola built this squad according to his system completely. In case of his decision to leave just like Klopp has done next manager choice will be really important for Manchester City. If they can't bring a manager who will continue with a similar system then things can get really interesting. However I assume they would think of bringing Arteta in that case who was already Guardiola's assistant before.  Smiley
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 11, 2024, 09:33:16 AM
Salah in and the score is still draw now. Alvarez needs to be pulled off from the field. There must be someone who can dribbling properly like doku or bob. Manchester city is trying to perform better and finally doku in. The tempo is getting even faster since we are coming closer to the end of game.
Liverpool's subs gave impact to the performance from the club. I think that if draw may become the result from this game. These clubs are equal and there was no significant improvement in the manchester city's tempo. Liverpool was trying even harder

It's clear if there will be no more goal to happen in this match. Liverpool has been trying so hard in winning the game but we are less than 10 minutes before entering the additional time. The performance from liverpool and city are so impressive.
That makes the game was also very entertaining as well. Many bettors may be  losing their bets. Liverpool must be going all in caused by city has not quick counter attack after de bruyne was left from there.

Im sure that draw is a fair result from this match. Many big matches got draw. Diaz got many chances but he was still bottled it. Im counting if diaz got around 7 chances to score.

It was nice for Liverpool to equalize the score before Salah entered. After he came onto the field we started to see a big improvement in Liverpool's game. I completely believe Liverpool deserved a win by the performance they showed in the second half. They did a really good job with keeping Haaland away from having chances to score as well.  Smiley  But this 1-1 draw was just for the benefit of Arsenal which have taken the lead in the standings.

The referee decision in the last minute was a total fiasco...  Sad  How can you say that it isn't a penalty? Even if Doku touched the ball first is it okay for him to kick Mac Allister like that? The Premier League referees are really horrible this season...
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 11, 2024, 09:26:47 AM
The penalty Biraghi missed in the last ten minutes was the turning point of the game for Roma.  Smiley  Diego Llorente saved one point for his team with a last minute goal. I was expecting it to be a difficult job from the beginning because Fiorentina can really be a challenging opponent like in this example.

Roma could have won the game as well of course considering Fiorentina's bad form these days. But it is still not a very bad result for them for an away game. I assume we would watch a destruction by Roma next time against Sassuolo home.  Smiley  De Rossi's system started to make me believe in them more.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 11, 2024, 09:21:05 AM
36 games; 103 goals and 0 losses in total.... This is just an insane form by Leverkusen.  Shocked  The impact Xabi Alonso has made on this team is just huge. It is really hard to describe.

Bayern Munich got a whopping 8-1 win against Mainz last week maybe but this hasn't changed anything about the gap with Leverkusen in the standings anyway. The only thing Bayern Munich can do to complete the season and move on in their life with their second position. Even that position is under the threat of Stuttgart a little as the gap is only four points. But I assume Bayern Munich wouldn't lose their current placement at least.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 10, 2024, 06:09:24 PM
They are dangerous, correct, but this is definitely not the Atletico Madrid from five years ago. They have always been infamous for their amazing defense, but that's quite some time ago. It doesn't mean there would be any good reason to not take them as seriously as in the past, but still I would be shocked if they were to beat Inter Milan. On that level it is of course possible that they have a good run in their game at home and score first, but if that doesn't happen, I think Inter Milan is one level too high and too clever and strategically too strong to still give this away.

I know it could turn into one of these ugly games that Diego Simeone loves so much, but Inter Milan can be quite ugly as well if needed. They know how to play this game. But yes I can only recommend everyone to get ear plugs for this one as well as Simeone will scream the hell out of his body! Cheesy He is probably the only one who can compete with Jurgen Klopp when he is freaking out. I would love to see both of these coaches one day make their most aggressive faces and stand head to head, I think everyone knows what that means. Cheesy

I agree. We don't have the same old Atletico Madrid anymore. That Atletico Madrid which obtained bigger achievements could have played much more effectively against Inter in the first leg too. But we just watched a desperate team trying to secure a draw at worst. We are likely to not see Griezmann in the rematch which is another bad news for Simeone.  Sad

Inter are an amazing team this season. They are scoring so many goals and conceding really few number of goals on one hand. While they are in a much better condition it isn't easy for Simeone to keep up with Inzaghi's team easily. Inter should be able to move on in the Champions League.  Smiley
