Tottenham have left a really tough game behind in a good way. They got what they wanted and they could have even won the game if they didn't waste their goal opportunities after it became 2-2. Son is really amazing now and his solid form is very useful for getting advantageous results. He is making up for Kane's scoring productivity a lot.
Next time they have another tough game against Liverpool but this time it is going to be home. If Tottenham manage to win the game then I will be even more expectant from them to fight for the league title after a long time. But while Liverpool are in great shape it will be really difficult.

The group stage hasn't started well for Inter I'm afraid. Real Sociedad made really big difficulties for them. At least Inter didn't lose maybe but they could have played better. But I guess there won't still be a big problem for Inter during the group stage. They should be able to qualify from the group anyway and probably as the leader.
Benfica are technically another favourite to advance to the next stage but they started horrible. That red card ruined the plans and Salzburg benefited from it great. Right now the group is in really interesting situation so it might end pretty close in points at the end as well.

Such a wonderful race weekend for Verstappen! But his performance made the race really boring to watch for me. I at least waited for some competition for other places like podium. But there wasn't any for that either. Ferrari drivers should have been better in this Grand Prix. If they improved the competition level a little more then the race would have been more exciting.
I was really disappointed with Perez's performance. He was like his mind was on something else. Because he didn't seem he was concentrated on the race. His very bad performance led to his retiring the car. But still Red Bull became the champion constructor thanks to Verstappen's high effort.

I think this result might change something about Atletico Madrid's future in this season. I mean this isn't a thing they regularly do. They beat Real Madrid despite most of their past games. They did it against a strong Real Madrid at the same time. I don't know what Simeone did but maybe Atletico Madrid can be more successful in the La Liga this season.
I really appreciated this big victory by them despite losing to Valencia by a big score and getting a draw against Lazio by a last minute goal. They really need this kind of results in big games in the La Liga if they want to be competitive for the league title.

I hope Newcastle don't turn into a team like Leicester later. I mean it would be lovely to see Newcastle also winning the Premier League title one day.  However if they also turn into a team struggling to cling to the Premier League and even drop down to the Championship then it would be really disappointing. But there is a difference between Newcastle and Leicester. Newcastle are currently one of the richest teams in Europe. Therefore they would find a way to build even a more solid team and prevent such probability at a high rate. |

Brighton are playing unlike the expectations so far. Their losing to AEK home by a score like 3-2 was really shocking to me. Because they were the second biggest title contender according to the odds. It didn't look like they cared about the Europa League game as much as a Premier League game.
I think they shouldn't do this. Because they don't have any reason to do it in the first place. How many times have they joined the Champions League in their history in the end? They don't have the luxury of caring much less about the Europa League so I hope they improve this effort.

I have started to see rumours regarding Manchester United and Oblak. It seems like they are interested in bringing him to the team. However I believe this is going to be very difficult for them. He has already a contract until 2028 with the team. He must have signed this contract newly which shows his loyalty to his team.
Besides Atletico Madrid would also not like to lose one of their most valuable players. Oblak is still a great goalkeeper. I don't see any reason for Oblak to choose to join Manchester United now either. Atletico Madrid are in much better condition now.

Leverkusen are still unstoppable. While even Bayern Munich can stop them in Allianz Arena I wouldn't have expected Heidenheim to be the one to do that of course. That was exactly what happened. Maybe Heidenheim scored an equalizer first but the rest was just a destruction by Leverkusen. Grin
Boniface is also hard to stop these days. He scored 2 more goals and look ambitious for top scorers. However Guirassy is dominating this table currently. If he goes on like this for a long time even Kane can have difficulties in competing with him. But I don't think Guirassy can be more consistent than Kane in general of the season.

Chelsea are really continuing to be more disappointing every week. I don't know when they will wake up from this nightmare. There are memes about Chelsea all over the internet rightfully. Pochettino has really nothing to do about this situation as it seems. I really don't understand this. There have been so much money spent and they have a decent manager as well but still no good result.
I started to think that this is related to the management of the whole team rather than the players or manager. Maybe Boehly is doing something wrong and this is still causing Chelsea to be unsuccessful.

I don't know what is really going on with Napoli currently. They made another point loss this time against Bologna away. Osimhen's missing that penalty was devastating for him and the team both. There is a significant drop in his performance level at the same time. It is really interesting to see this change in the team suddenly.
I mean they started the season really good but here we are. They can't win a game in the Serie A for three weeks. They struggled against Braga in the Champions League as well. Rudi Garcia must be under pressure even more now.

The Madrid derby was way different than I expected honestly. Because I was hoping to see Real Madrid winning. But Atletico Madrid really gave them a football lesson today. I don't mean that their statistics were better but they were much more efficient when it comes to taking advantage of the opportunities.
Morata is really on fire these days. He scored 2 goals in the derby and played a huge role in the victory. Besides I wonder why Ancelotti made a change like that in the lineup. I mean we watched Bellingham on the front and Modric played behind Bellingham - Rodrygo duo. I thought he wouldn't change that area in this game as well.

Everton won in an unexpected game for me honestly. Because Brentford were the favourite side against Everton home by a serious gap of odds. But it was even a comfortable win by 3-1 for Everton. This is so much important for them after a streak without a win for four weeks. But can they maintain a good series?
Their next two games against Luton and Bournemouth in the league. These are both winnable games considering who they beat recently. Therefore maybe they might have a winning streak of three games the best case scenario. But right after that Liverpool would destroy them in Anfield anyway.

People with doubts when he first arrived must also be very contented with his performance now. He doesn't have anything to be criticized. He has a good relationship with Sane as I said before. This duo did a good job together today as well.
People should at least give him enough time to prove his worthiness. Kane was a world class striker and it would not be so difficult for him to have bound with bayern. It's amazing how kane was able to play as good as when he was still playing at totenham. It feels like kane already played for years in bayern. Kane is really playing exactly like this. I always wonder whether a player who has played for the same team for many years can show the same performance at a different team. We had a Messi example in hand. Kane made even a much better start compared to Messi. Because Messi had some serious problems for a while when he first joined PSG. But Kane is doing his job like nothing has changed. He is playing for a much bigger and more competitive team. He is feeling the pressure over himself but he is dealing with it comfortably. |

Lecce have done a wonderful work so far indeed. We saw another victory by them last night. They got good results against bigger teams such as Fiorentina and Lazio so far as well.
However I don't feel like this unbeaten streak will last longer. Because I checked their fixture and saw that their next game was going to be against Juventus away. I don't give much chance to Lecce about resisting Juventus strongly in Turin. But at least Lecce might not lose by a big gap depending on their defensive effort. I'm thinking of adding Juventus to win to my parlay while the odds are 1.45.
Lecce good start to the season is good for football club; also it is good for the Serie A as they have a new upset in the new season. yes Lecce unbeaten run won't last longer, their fixtures will become tougher and thats why; what this early form mean is that Lecce can avoid relegation come the end of the season as they are garnering valuable points already. Later today Sassuolo hosts Juventus; with Juventus losing away last season; do you think they can get a win this time around? Juventus couldn't do it unfortunately.  They had huge problems against Sassuolo throughout the game as well. Sassuolo got ahead 2 times and Juventus managed to equalize the score in both situations. But after Sassuolo got ahead once again that was it by Juventus resistance. They gave up and it ended like 4-2. This time Vlahovic couldn't do much. But rather than productivity their defending was the biggest problem here. They didn't concede this many goals in one game until this week. Allegri had better figure out what they did wrong. |

Monaco - Nice was a really interesting game. Balogun was a huge disappointment in this one because he missed two penalties. After missing the second one he was subbed off in a short time of course. He had a really bad day I'm afraid which cost Monaco 3 points at the same time. I don't want to put all the blame on him but he had a significant role.
By the way Brest are doing really incredible these days. They added another win to their collection by beating Lyon home by 1-0. They totally deserved this win as well because their performance was just mesmerizing. Lyon couldn't do much against them.

I was expecting a much more comfortable game for Barcelona. However firstly I was really shocked to see Celta Vigo getting 2-0 ahead in Camp Nou. I didn't understand this at all considering Barcelona's recent form. However it was like a magical comeback by Barcelona later. In only nine minutes they scored three goals and got an unforgettable win by 3-2.
Lewandowski was one of the architects of this big comeback of course. His two goals gave life to Barcelona. Joao Felix is continuing to be very beneficial for his teammates. He made an assist today and he is such an ambitious player here now.

Manchester United must be playing with the worst alternatives in the defense line right now. I mean the centre-back duo now. Varane is in the subs and Martinez hasn't even been brought to the game. But at least the opponent is Burnley which is helping Manchester United on one hand.
It is still going on with the Red Devils' 1-0 lead. But this score is always risky no matter what your opponent is. I hope Manchester United can score another goal as soon as possible. This is really an important game to win and recover a little.

I have heard that Tottenham are preparing to trigger the option to extend Son's contract. It is currently until 2025 but after this it will be 2026. This would be amazing news for Tottenham side because they wouldn't like to lose another significant player in a short time. Kane has newly left the team in the end.
The new manager Ange Postecoglou has been doing a really good job. Tottenham need their squad staying strong at the same time. If they lose more power they would turn into an even much less competitive team. They already have a bad history without titles for ages.
With quite good developments occurring at Tottenham, this could trigger Son Heung-min to accept an extension of his contract until 2026, because playing in a team that is experiencing encouraging development is certainly fun, and Tottenham see him as a player who must be retained considering his contribution in recent seasons at that club quite big, especially with the captain's armband in his hand proving that he is quite an important presence at the club. And extending the contracts of players or coaches who deliver what the club hopes they should do. It was a great show by Bayern Munich. I was expecting a solid win but this final score was really spectacular. It was a great joy to watch the players. Especially Kane of course. He had a really amazing day and this was his highest effort here so far. 3 goals and 2 assists is just extraordinary performance.
