461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: November 22, 2020, 10:16:05 PM
Can I get my waves from the ico?
Sorry, I forgot about the coin. Now I see that the site is not available. I have information how many waves I had and the amount of bitcoins that I sent for the ico.
I also have 16-digit key and text looks like this N9-XXX_XXXXX

Try waves.exchange

I've found the support team responsive.

Crap that was a long time ago. lol  Someone yet is left. You must have been one of the early investors in crypto who just didn't mind spending BTC while it's still less than $1k. BTC during the time of WAVES ICO was less than $1K as far as I can remember.  And you also didn't mind Waves until you see the massive pump it did last week.  I hope you still can claim it.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rumours that Bitcoin was created in Russia on: November 22, 2020, 09:58:51 PM
Ethereum (or any other alt) didn't invent smart contracts, you know? It exists for 30/40 years since the '80s-'90s. So the fact the person bought the domain name smartcontract.com 6 days before Satoshi's white paper doesn't really mean something

It's again some theories based on facts completely taken out of context in history. The funny thing is in the article you posted it says "But that doesn’t prove that Nazarov is the real Satoshi. It just confirms that Nazarov was working on blockchain during the Satoshi era." here

Then it goes deep up to say that since Satoshi used a Russian proxy so Bitcoin was created in Russia. Since the proxy IP was also used by a guy named Sergey who posted hotel reviews so it's Sergey Nazarov.
 Oh well...

Anyone who thinks that there is no such thing as coincidence could be looking closer into all these. They could come up with all the theories they have but in the end, it just has to be proven still.  None in Russia had claimed to be Satoshi yet, probably because they already have Buterin. All there is to the article is clickbait, it's fun and the OP knew how to make it look as if he isn't spamming.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lolnero - much privacy! many ASICs! on: November 22, 2020, 09:30:31 PM
> Isn't this a bit premature, given that the privacy technology used in Monero is still apparently in its infancy, and there are people already making claims about being able to track it, and Monero planning to do further upgrades to make it more difficult/impossible?

No. The general framework of thinking is that the success of bitcoin has shown that there's enough space for everyone, from 0 privacy to 100% privacy. I'm thinking from bitcoin -> grin -> monero.

Lolnero is not trying to be the best private coin out there, it can excel somewhere else. Like, for example, being light weight to sync, and less legacy code to maintain, and possibly a better implementation in a safer language. All these do not require any hardforks.

> Will Lolnero hardfork to follow Monero privacy upgrades, just not PoW stuff?

It will not follow monero's future upgrades, it is likely the path for wownero, and I'm really looking forward to see the success of both Cheesy

By any chance, are you planning to at least create a website for this project?
I know you are not in a hurry as you don't have premine and not running an ICO.
But having your own webpage is a must for a project that have long-term goals here in crypto.
What exactly is your goal for this project? Couple of months or 6 months from now at least.

A roadman to follow is the least to look forward to what will happen to the project.

They are probably testing whether it could also get followers before they decide to get serious. Wownero became serious and eventually had a few exchanges adding it.  They do have the gitlab though. Adding it on tradeogre will be the start of it.

464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Catalyst for starting next Bitcoin Bear market? on: November 21, 2020, 09:08:34 PM

It must be CBDC that will cause the next long bear market. It could start a bear market when CBDC starts to impose some regulations and taxes. There is much to be afraid of to the CBDC. It's the only thing that's new to crypto. Probably institutional investors being hacked or going to take profit and failure of Defi and DEX.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used instead of paper money on: November 21, 2020, 05:27:53 PM
I find it too much to make bitcoin a substitute for paper money. I'm not at all sure and it's hard to happen. although currently the role of biitcoin is quite large, making it a substitute for paper money will not be realized. bitcoin is still bitcoin, and the role of paper money is paper money. both are mutually beneficial, but that does not mean having to change positions.
here we have to be a little bit wise, although we all love bitcoin, to make it the main exchange is not a good thing.

The transaction fee is going to be a big hurdle for it. I for example won't be using bitcoin to cash out for I know I'm going to pay at least more than $15 to get out of the exchange. Many of the bitcoin users will prefer to use altcoin when they see transaction fees going to go up more. Paying something to a store while the value of it is less than the transaction fee will just make you decide to just use the paper bill. Leave BTC for online transactions.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for altcoin season on: November 21, 2020, 04:53:42 PM

Several coins just jump quickly today that even XRP had turned $0.41 when a few days ago it was just $0.24 and EOS also turned $3.20 quickly. If you missed the leap then you're not the only one who didn't saw that coming.

This is how quickly a crypto investment can turn your richer in a day.  Altcoins will be worth keeping if you have plenty of it and its somehow solving a particular problem.
467  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] surveyuniswap.org asking for seed phrase or private key on: November 21, 2020, 06:30:29 AM
SEO is a good skill to monetize, its the holy grail for webmasters.

Scam is due to the airdrop that they did in the past, now scammers are still using that airdrop to extract some private keys of individuals wanting to get Uni tokens for free. 200UNI is a big amount, a victim to be could figure its too good to be true.  The other one of these airdrop phishing attempt was only targeting users with ETH on their wallet.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25k new Bitcoin addresses in 1 hour on: November 20, 2020, 07:10:42 AM

How much BTC address was created every hour 4 years ago, do we have this data too?

If the number is different like low than 25K, there must be a massive creation due to adoption and users generating every time. Wallets can create hundreds of addresses though and we can generate one every transaction. Although not every address is going to be used, 25k is still is a lot.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 20, 2020, 05:59:38 AM
They still complain inside, it's just discontentment that the help they thought won't take this long has already been taking almost a year and the vaccine is just a lie.

The increase in people not afraid to go out anymore is because of the economic problem. When there is the need to survive but the stimulus package isn't enough and they can't find companies that are hiring, they will complain why people believe in this covid.
470  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Pfizer plans to include microchips in vaccine?? on: November 19, 2020, 08:50:50 AM

I can't imagine what could be the purpose of controlling people by injecting chips when there is no need for that anymore. If you mean NASA wants to control us, they already made us believe whatever they say.

It shouldn't be the first that you should be worrying. Its about getting ourselves immune to the virus. If you don't trust Pfizer, there will be other pharms that can come up with a vaccine probably more potent than Pfizer's.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: how to use uniswap on: November 19, 2020, 07:45:50 AM

Login to your metamask wallet, it could be a firefox/chrome browser extension, and then browse the uniswap website and then connect your metamask.
Make sure you have an ETH to pay for your transaction. Privacy has a price, a high price by the way, get ready to be disappointed if you find the trading/transaction fee to be higher than on the exchange.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: November 19, 2020, 06:39:42 AM
Not really going to die or become unpopular. ETH is being developed and being updated recently and what OP said ETH is being repaired while driving. Once it will be fixed, I think it will still be good. The more projects using the network, the more transactions going to clog like the old problem that is making it undesirable.

Its not going to be replaced but some developers might choose a faster network like TRON or EOS but more projects on ETH means more demand for ETH which is why it's still a good investment.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: November 18, 2020, 09:46:27 PM

The above details must have been the issue.  It's already added to more exchanges, it started good but the price was dumped hard after its AMA on vite.net.  Good job Andrew. Where else will you be trying IDNA to be added?

I thought I could profit but was just not making it good after lol anyway, I hope it can take back with profit with this project.

474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof - The long Hodl on: November 18, 2020, 08:33:59 PM
But the bigger question is, if you hodled all this while, are you going to act like a scared bunny, and take your money out when it reaches $20,000 again in a week or two?

Cool

That would be a weak decision. If you hold that long to wait for the next bullrun, you would rather be waiting for longer years again to wait until you wanna retire surrounded by a pile of money. You are not going ot be scared now than what had happened last 2018 where the price plunged.

If you dumped now, you just wasted the long wait you have invested. You got to make it worth the stressful time you felt during the bear market and wait til it doubles like $40K.
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a massive BTC dump? on: November 18, 2020, 08:03:16 PM

It may happen by 2021 or 2022. The fomo isn't over yet for there will be more money going to flow to crypto while there will be companies adopting cryptocurrency. This is why most of the popular personalities in crypto predicted more than $20k. It's not unusual for BTC to be overpriced while there will be massive buying from investors which is why the cycle keeps cycling. The small dump that just happens today is just a small one.
476  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - Withdraw Disabled, is it scam ? on: November 18, 2020, 07:40:31 PM

There is no escaping the KYC from exchanges, if you don't want to submit then you can't withdraw your coins. But you wouldn't want to also trust someone with $3000, what is stopping him from withdrawing it all and non for you while he could use someone else documents?  Either submit your data yourself or just try asking your relative or a local friend instead.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen for Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2020, 03:53:40 PM

Amazon or any other company not yet accepting BTC right now will only consider BTC once they find out they are what Micheal Saylor is saying was "sitting on a melting ice".  When the value of the stocks they own or the billions of USD on their accounts are slowly diminishing in value.

Or if they are losing customers because more people are using cryptocurrency to pay for products online.
478  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: November 17, 2020, 03:40:26 PM

If BTC and cryptocurrency continue to rise and gain more users because everybody turned into cashless, someone should poke Robert Kiyosaki to remind him of his post. It might crash but not the kind of like $20K down to $3k like it did in 2018.

If there is already a vaccine for coronavirus, I am happy, because it can cure people who have been infected, and those of us who are still healthy will not be afraid anymore.
But honestly, although later vaccines will be found, and affect the price of bitcoin, it will not make me panic, maybe for those who are new to investing in crypto, be it bitcoin, with falling prices, they will panic. But I don’t think the price drop will continue and deepen.
If the price of bitcoin in these few months goes up, maybe there will be a price drop later, that’s natural. Especially if the price drop along with the discovery of vaccines, usually people assume because of the influence of vaccines. But actually, bitcoin should go down first because it is oversold.
Agree. Only those who are new with bitcoin will be panic with this news. And those who shorts bitcoin can take this as an advantage. However, this will not last long. After the correction, bitcoin tends to climb to a new level. The more corrections we have, the more stable the uptrend of bitcoin will be.

I strongly believe that bitcoin can not lose more than 30% of its price in the next few weeks. Bitcoin is having a powerful momentum which makes the price go up continuously. Therefore, be brave while holding bitcoin

The FOMO is on for the institutional investors, they will start buying back when the price dip to 5%- 10%. They are just hurrying to buy for there is a chance that BTC will replace gold as a reserve.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People support what Good for them but btc?? on: November 17, 2020, 02:47:37 PM

You wouldn't find good to it when you choose not to find good to it.

The mining process I guess will get you to learn more about BTC and appreciate it more when it comes to security as compared to other cryptocurrencies you think are beneficial to hold. BTC you could say is just a store of value but good things are with it. While other currencies will have a weakness in their security, BTC doesn't.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I could consider staking if .... on: November 17, 2020, 02:30:27 PM

If you can stake with your own wallet, you will consider staking. Well, you should really be considering since staking works that way. You need a wallet where you own the private key and the tokens are stored in your wallet where you can also stake.

Countless projects have the POS algo but for you to have more profit, you need to also invest more. There are cheap tokens through but choose wisely.
