1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if you have 1 btc what would be the coin that you buy and hold ? on: December 08, 2019, 01:49:12 PM

I'd mostly invest it to ETH for the staking. I'm going to try that option for the same of earning more without the risk of trading. I'd like to see how ETH will perform when in POS, I'm sure I'm not just the only who have this plan. 1BTC might not be enough but I could just join the staking pool until I can get enough to stake 32ETH for myself. Or I will also be buying BNB, this is the safest so far since there are lots of demand for this token, sure the price will also moon.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin addresses hits an all time high! on: December 08, 2019, 01:14:48 PM

People are somehow just using one BTC address per transaction meaning everytime they make a transaction using one btc address, this BTC address are now thrownaway and abandoned. They say its the best practice to avoid being traced.

Maybe these empty BTC address will soon be filled with BTC also. I heard that when you do an transaction, the btc address will have a high possibility that it can be hacked thru quantum computer due to the exposure of the public key when making transaction.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 07, 2019, 08:27:53 PM

Did anyone received an email about gatehub being hacked?

I rarely read my email but this one reminds me of my gatehub which I have stored some XRP there. Not much really as I have tried it before 2017.

Recently, our Security Team learned additional information in relation to the June incident affecting some of our customers that we emailed you about in July. As we continued to investigate, we found evidence that the following information on your account was accessed without authorization: unique account id, email, date of account creation, hashed password1, encrypted account key2 and encrypted recovery key3.

Any other information such as: encrypted XRP ledger wallets secret keys, phone number, address, nationality, citizenship, ID document(s), proof of residence document(s), date of birth, place of birth, or other information was NOT compromised.

This is part of the email. But I'm beginning to think this is just to ask for the KYC documents, I'm yet not willing to send documents to them but maybe if its worth thousands of USD already.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new projects should be about new features on: December 07, 2019, 08:14:18 PM
The old features are going to be old because a day later a new concept comes offering better solution to the old problem and because implementing deserves another fork means there will be another code examination and debugging the line of codes and while doing so another concept emerges. But that's the beauty of having an opensource project because a lot of coders can participate and propose/

Sharding still is new to solve the scalability. If ETH will be successful in this ETH2, many projects will probably follow as well.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The only one way to always get your tokens after bounty ends on: December 07, 2019, 07:29:41 PM
It is not correct that all bounty campaigns are created fro cheating the participants. The honest teams always reward the loyal bounty hunters and the market conditions obviously affect their decision partly. If the bounty distribution doesn't happen in a month, I don't complain because of the lack of project research.
If the project failed to meets its requirements then no one have to be blamed but making wait for the rewards is bad bad for the project.Like I said simple accusation will ruin the whole project so they won't do that. But if they mentioned it earlier at the bounty rules then hunters have no other choice.

Previously they mentioned about it in the rules, but recently we have not seen such rules because most of the companies are choosing for IEO in lower value exchanges. Most of the companies failing to raise the money and which it is impossible for us to get paid from the companies. So there is no choice for us and we have to look at other potential bounties.

If most of them turns into IEOs then the remaining will be not much worth to promote because the project team itself don't have confidence on their project so its just like gambling, you may earn some money but the chances of happening is less.So better to join on the bitcoin paying signature campaigns or just its better to ignore any kind of bounties to make this forum better place.

So the reason most wil now prefer to join the campaign that pays ETH and BTC even when the company has a background of scams like the p2pb2b exchange that was about to start a signature campaign. Campaigns paying tokens are just not worth doing with this type of market condition. Hard times to earn BTC, a dim light in the future if we can't collect btc today. Smiley

1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins going to get the mainstream like 2017? on: December 07, 2019, 06:35:08 PM

Not all altcoins will be utilized in the future but the top coins will probably be used in the mainstream. The news I've read lately was the SBI holding are going to distribute dividends with XRP, that certainly is a big news, I guess the altcoins where teams can influence big companies to partner with them cater more investors in uncharted areas. The future isn't just for BTC for from cryptocurrencies.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value on: December 07, 2019, 05:55:31 PM

Years probably. Halving next year will probably trigger the price to move higher. Halving had always been one of the reason why prices are going to appreciate. A crypto user would expect that to happen unless the regulations are going to make it hard for us. A change of things can impact terribly when there are countries banning BTC despite the adoption in other countries.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 06, 2019, 05:44:55 PM

You'd be asking the wrong crowd if you do this in a non crypto related forumboard but its the same thing here you'd be getting a lopsided poll. The bitcoin community will prefer to chose cryptocurrency of course, why would we be staying in this forum if we won't prefer it. But then fiat is what is needed to have value for these crypto coins including BTC.

1369  Economy / Reputation / Re: P2PB2B - resolving "scam alerts" and misunderstandings on: December 06, 2019, 05:24:25 PM

No one yet had confirmed about the issues to be solved but this bounty manager demanded red trust to be removed before starting the campaign. He's got to be laughing while he gained support from you guys. I don't think he should bargain that because the moment he attempt to scam there will be a chance that he will be doing it again. Not to mention the IEOs being done in this exchange.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my story: why bitcoin has failed (and keeps failing to this day) on: December 06, 2019, 04:58:43 PM

We've all heard these rants before even before BTC reaches $1k, there were already people complaining they can't afford to buy back so the fud is one of the technique so effective back then to spread fear.  You can buy back, you don't wanna wait for the price to go up more than how much it is today.

Your only option is to buy and trade, you made it in the past so you must have your own trading strategy to work on.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DigiByte delisted from Poloniex!!! on: December 06, 2019, 03:47:16 PM

Well they have their own reasons but this isn't going to help any of them, traders knew poloneix isn't as good as they were since the new exchanges like binance come out. This will not help polo gain users if Sun act this way to his critics.

Bad of good publicity still is publicity doesn't work in crypto since reputation is at stake here. The internet is a small world for someone who is followed by thousands.
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Frozing Funds from Hacked Exchanges on: December 06, 2019, 03:33:07 PM
One of the reason why Binance is a good exchange, they help the crypto community to block the hackers and of course by giving great services. Exchanges should have the limit on withdrawing funds everyday and if its a big money then KYC is important. So many hacking incidents on different exchanges, they should learn a lot from them. Freezing the funds is the best way to stop them, i just hope that it can transfer back from the real owners.

Binance were recognized by more users to be more trusted exchange since then. But its also the reason why some of the users now are avoiding it because of this practice, what possible reason would they be seeing to freeze an account?

All users who will withdraw fund past its limit will have to submit KYC but they may be asking where the funds are from. This would lead you to sending more documents too private.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty problem and solution on: December 05, 2019, 05:01:04 PM

Limiting the number of participants won't help them since all are just going to dump anyway to they might as well just accept just about anyone coming to join the campaign. One solution for a low rank user in bitcointalk because you can't join the signature campaign then just take the blogging and youtube campaign, there is a higher allocation for these campaigns.
1374  Economy / Services / Re: Hosting Paid in BTC on: December 05, 2019, 03:43:08 PM
Personally use namecheap. They accept bitcoins. Quite friendly support as well

I just checked it, they offer You pay $17.28 for the first year and renewal at $33.88/year, very cheap for a hosting plan that allows you to have at least 3 sites on it. Namecheap is very well known for being just a domain registrar but they are now up for hosting as well. If you are looking for a reliable company which ad been around for decades, this is it.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Muse Protocol - Decentralized Social Streaming Platform [STX][TRC20] on: December 05, 2019, 02:47:05 PM
If the ANN thread is filled with newbies praising the project, they are likely being hired.  The above user is just one.

muse protocol is very good project

very good project

Did the team just hire shill posters unto this announcement thread?
The account used to post this announcement thread is still currently on question (Reference) and now shill posters are starting to flock on this thread as well, generating fake buzz.
I suggest anybody who wants to invest in this project to dig deeper and do hard research first before jumping in and investing any amount.

That spam looks more like part of the airdrop/bounty, rather than  classic shills. Yesterday and today moderators deleted more than 20 posts that were similar to those, that i kept  reporting.

I would like to hear from @salsa321 what is his connection with Bitcoin Air and Decibels, two projects that are either abandoned or on hold and it seems like he was behind both of them.

A post in this thread already said that MUSE is rebranded and the result is Decibels. It rebranded, Decentralized Social Streaming Platform is so much different from Decentralized Digital Royalties System. Anyway,  whoever joined the campaign with Decibels will also get the Muse protocol tokens.

Quote
Decibels was rebranded into Muse and the idea revised more towards social streaming and digital royalties. Now we have the proper industry backing to move forward with it and that is why the project was placed on hold and the bounty was paused. All participants of Decibels are still in this chat, and are given the same opportunities to achieve the same Bounty Rewards as the others.

1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused, Your thoughts is needed on: December 05, 2019, 02:19:37 PM

There were campaigns that pays just about 1/3 of the bounty for each month, it didn't work still. It happens all the time even before the bear market, it must be due to the investors taking their profit after collecting bonuses about 30% for being early in buying the tokens. Everybody dumps and come to think of it the team needs funds, why wouldn't they dump what they have as well?
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any Potentiality for XRP Ripple to reach the sub USD $1000 Valuation mark ? on: December 05, 2019, 01:37:31 PM

XRP is for centralization why I guess people will understand if they are going to associate themselves to banks but having a price of $1000 won't be possible since we see how much coins that are worth investing than XRP.

A lot of users in the forum doesn't care about XRP so the only who cares about this are the ones who still wants to use banks.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is still really bullish (Unpopular opinion) on: December 04, 2019, 05:57:33 PM
https://www.coincurb.com/news/bitcoin-long-term-is-really-bullish-and-analysts-are-ignoring-it/

I explain my reasoning a little bit better in the article but long story short, I think, no, I know Bitcoin is bullish long term. Has anyone looked at the monthly chart recently? How is that not bullish? Why are all 'analysts' ignoring it just because Bitcoin is down to 7k? Who cares, it was 3k at the beginning of 2019, Bitcoin is currently 2x higher than 10 months ago, that's bearish? Ok.

It all depends on what period of time we look at. If we take the period from the very beginning of Bitcoin, we can see that it is growing all the time. If we take only the period since the last ATH for analysis, we will see the bear market situation. Currently, I think we should look at the period from the beginning of the year in which we see that the price is rising. In my opinion, we are in an upward trend and accumulation.

He is looking it on the monthly time frame so it should be bullish. The charts shows how bears taking profit and how they turned bulls as well so basically its still bullish, bullish from the very beginning of the year 2009 actually. If you are one of those who bought as an early investor of BTC, you are going to see the market as the very bullish. For traders however in the daily chart its bullshit.
1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: December 04, 2019, 05:50:01 PM
There are wallets that will allow us to send BTC by just scanning QRcode, that should be enough to use BTC to pay, adoption however has to have many users over the world. China has many users that even beggars are asking money thru Wechat on the streets in China. We don't do that since not even half of the of 850M users in China are BTc users. Chinese also are one which they have channels of their own while the people outside are very much divided.

Telegram (TON) must have been a good for all.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did my ETC convert to CLO?????????? on: December 04, 2019, 05:26:46 PM
I don't know why you can not see your coins in that wallet, but in block explorer you can clearly see that 190.2930 Ether is in your wallet:

So calm down, because you didn't lost anything.  Wink

Ps. For everything to be in line with forum rules, move this thread to the Altcoin section using the options on the left at the bottom of the page.

Maybe there is the need to update java and flash. He used 4 web browser at a time, and I guess this could be the problem. If you can access it to another browser probably the chrome he had since it looks like its the primary browser he used base upon the screenshot he did.

Internet explorer still is breathin.
