1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Why Bitcoin Suddenly Rebounded Yesterday? on: December 21, 2019, 01:19:24 PM
Price spikes because traders realized its over sold so they quickly buy at a low price thinking they're getting in for cheaper price. Holder who panicked now has to buy at higher price, that's a sanction for trying to join the manipulation of the market.

If in days the price will once again dip, the weak hands will just get out to save their money. I guess they are too impatient to wait for months before price favors them so they are going to get out. Their sell order will be picked by those who wants to invest more that will lead to sudden price spike again.
1302  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cebu City for digital nomads on: December 21, 2019, 12:02:53 PM
I think $20 is expensive  for him better for him to rent an apartment who are more bigger and the rent fee is cost $100 a month I think instead of $20 per night.  A city of Cebu is of the cities in the Philippines who are really popular because they have a good place and have different culture. If they are are going to cebu how long he going to live there o he decided to take a vacation only?

You can test your booking in https://www.booking.com set dates at makikita nya na maraming hotel offering 30 nights for less than 25K PHP.
My suggestion is PENSIONNE LA FLORENTINA dahil nakatira ako malapit dito nong nasa Cebu pa ako.

If you wanna see what your fellow tourist do in Cebu to rent space check this place https://www.livingincebuforums.com/forum/20-buying-or-renting-real-estate/

1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 08:26:24 PM

Reports are not detailed, it would be nice to know how he did the sim swapping for readers to be aware and avoid become a victim too.

Quote
The stolen $1 million came from just two victims, authorities said.

Just wow. some people really deserve to be robbed. I'm not saying that because they were rich but rich and careless. We poor people take care of every few dollars and there's no way I'd lose as little as $100 like that. If I had 100k it would be behind multiple levels of protection. Those people had so much and didn't care, kept it all online.

All that idiot bought with the money was watches and gay accessories. What a jerk.
To be honest I also think that some people deserve to be robbed,
But it isn't the lazy rich people for me it should be the corrupt people those who also steal from the people they should be the one's who deserve to get a taste of their own medicine.

It didn't mention where the coins are stored probably in the exchange, those phones probably belong to someone who does trading a lot. $1M for two accounts which both of them must have been good at doing their craft but carelessly become a victim of sim swapping.

1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Staking WAR has begun, who is wining it? on: December 20, 2019, 07:39:01 PM

They are still going to get some customers who will stake but only from the users who does just invests few and join the pool. I will probably try adding more TRX in my binance account, never hurt to invest few and join without having to stake it myself. This is going to be a disaster when exchange gets hacked so might as put something you can forget if it can't be recovered.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are smart as well. on: December 20, 2019, 05:19:04 PM

Of course they are among us. They are not that smart as you think though because they can easily find a job that they don't need to scam investors, just look at the scam accusation threads in the forum to see how many of them are caught. They are probably doing the same thing over and over and still got caught. Some of them are just employing to create their website and ERC token in fiverr too.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong granted patent for sending BTC thru email on: December 20, 2019, 03:38:56 PM
sorry correction if I am wrong in opinion, it looks like sending bitcoin or altcoin on the exchange has been implemented, where all users and traders can send their funds or make transfers to other users as long as it's in the same exchange, what's interesting and great about this, if One day, fellow coinbase users do bitcoin transactions using email, I think it is not a difficult job because they have funds deposited in the same wallet, to be exact a coinbase cold wallet, except to transfer bitcoin to an email address that is not a coinbase user maybe it will cool, even though I don't have a coinbase account but there are people who send bitcoin to my email, of course I have to register a coinbase account to claim bitcoin, hopefully I am wrong

Yes. We can already do that inside the exchange and probably just link the email addresses as alias to send the BTC with out fee. I'm not sure how it works but that has been done long time ago without having patent. They would have to become a big network for all crypto users to be able to do that to cheat the miners.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: UNFAIR TREATMENT OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS on: December 20, 2019, 03:16:24 PM

What do you do to the project that actually launched their product, the developers and the team completely ignore bounty hunters while the project gain traction and investors coming to buy in the exchange?

I think bounty hunters can gather around and do something to them and can probably force the team to pay by spreading the word about them scamming you. The power still lies in bounty hunters if we just unite to claim what we have worked for.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 19, 2019, 09:05:07 PM

There is nothing much to prepare for 2020 but to gamble. Its not going to rise up overnight and since they price will always comes down after a spike, I'd just wait for the price to dip and buy. Nothings is left to expect this year but what could happen after 6 months for the halving might be crucial that's when I think I will prepare for, probably sell valuable things just to have some cash to buy more BTC.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: xrp to 28$ on: December 19, 2019, 07:15:29 PM
This sounds like a rumor or marketing tactics from XRP to attract more investors as it will take ages for XRP to reach that random figure of $28 because even during the bull run of 2017 at ATH Ripple cannot cross $4. Stay away from such predictions as they can go to any extend in order to make us buy their suggestions to pool in investmentsm
I also think of it too, I guess it is just a market strat by the XRP team following the decline of the market in consecutive weeks which gives investors a lot of opportunity to buy in low prices. Now talking about the speculated price of $28, It seems vague as the ATH of XRP did not exceed at $5 so it means it is far to happen but it is possible with the volatility and obviously to people who creates the decentralization. Anyway it is your personal choice if you believe on such predictions like this it is yout own risk to take.

I can only say congratulations to the holders if it really will be $28. Easy to profit to millions if you just have the money to invest to it but this is if it really pump that high. There were lots of speculations in the past, this time around I can only say congrats.

I stay away from XRP long time ago but because I've earned from it last 2017, I still watch out for the bag I keep.
1310  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: December 19, 2019, 05:13:56 PM
If Malaysia restricts cash transactions by 2020, I think it will be difficult for this country. How will people here pay for daily services? Not everything transfers or payments are made with digital money. All daily dining, shopping, shopping ... cash payment is quick and convenient. Not all Malaysians are wealthy and can pay by credit card. And what do you think about this issue?
Malaysia is very developed, they have very high GDP and are in the top of Asia. So I don't think it will be too much if they don't use cash. I have traveled to Malaysia and here is really a developed country, in addition to this country also supports cryptocurrency, lots of good projects are created from this country. I am not too surprised if in 2020 or 2021 they will use cryptocurrency in their lives

They will probably not support crypto anytime soon, this is probably the reason why they are not limiting the amount of money to be withdrawn by the people. They only reasoned its because of the physical cash used for illicit activities according to Bank Negara Malaysia deputy governor but the real reason could be because they are preventing people from buying crypto.
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 04:34:16 PM

If you need to sell something because you need to that's fine. You are even lucky to have something to sell unlike the rest who are just own tokens that they can't even sell because its not in any market. Their coins are not even in a decentralized exchange, they can't sell and they can't find buyers of it either. That's worse than dumping at loss.

Merry Xmas.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting cryptocurrency through altcoin on: December 19, 2019, 03:39:52 PM

The reason why its not going to be promoted is because people will have doubts to every altcoins out there due to the scams that had happened. Its just too easy for the teams to exit and abandon a project and that investors just have no trust to teams creating altcoins anymore. I hold some altcoins that I thought would become one of the most useful but end up delisted in the exchanges already, the history of this coin will always come up when promoted once again.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 18, 2019, 09:24:14 PM
There is no hype between Conor McGregor and Leon Edwards for the fans to get excited but there is a soda incident between Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards and we will have a good dramatic sequence if they fight each other but what i did not understand till now is the direction in which Conor McGregor is going, is he looking for just fights to make money or he is targeting any belts. If Conor wins against Cerrone what next, will he call out Nate Diaz for a trilogy which is another high value fight which i expect him to do after that.

If he need money, he could make a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. That is the "place" where money are Cheesy

Floyd would gladly beat him for good. But this is purely money making scheme which people might not anymore be willing to watch on PPV. I personally just want  to watch them wrestle in the mud because this puts them both in a disadvantage. I'd like to see them trash talk knowing they'd fight on the mud.
1314  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: LoyceV's: Follows users post and topic on: December 18, 2019, 06:48:07 PM
Hindi po ba applicable dito yung button ng NOTIFY, hindi ba yun good as following the thread?
to be honest hindi ko gusto yung way ng notification ng forum at for me need i-improve.
1. Following the topic or thread ay wala naman notification na maganda.
2. sana magkaroon ng notification itong mismong forum at hindi through e-mail.
3. minsan may personal message na tayo at nasa forum na tayo need pa natin i-refresh ang page just to appear that.

1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins delist and Bitcoin only on: December 18, 2019, 03:30:25 PM
So they delisted all because altcoins has not proven to have solved problems but are increased high fees in altcoins withdrawals like ETH?
They are also accumulating ETH in the process, how funny.

The exchange isn't receiving big amount of BTC volume and I guess this is an effort to increase it and part of the marketing. But they are going to be adding ETH once again once the transition to ETH2 will be over.
1316  Other / Meta / Re: Feature Suggestion - Relax newbie's PM restrictions. on: December 18, 2019, 01:38:59 PM
It absolutely makes sense to have this functionality. The ability to add a Newbie to some sort of Whitelist and that would only be valid for PMs exchanged between the newbie and the user who added him to the list. That could maybe be a feature for the new forum?!

Can't it be here in this forum?  Its a good suggestion.

It also encourages these newbies to stay in the forum and PMs can also be reported to Admin when a user suspects that someone is impersonating in the PM, he can just click report and the admin can check unlike in telegram where there is no option to report a user.
1317  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cebu City for digital nomads on: December 18, 2019, 01:18:46 PM

Stay in the downtown where you can access everything from nearby market, malls, restaurants, hospital and red lights. Probably Gorordo Avenue near Ayala mall. There are quite villages in Gorordo especially going to UP. Cebu is a small City where foreigners just walk around, you can easily find an expat community there in Cebu.

1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 Cryptocurrency Marketplaces on: December 17, 2019, 04:18:32 PM

I tried openbazaar years ago, it probably have a friendly interface today than it was 2016.

OpenBazaar has a very good user experience, a big variety of items to purchase and a strong team who care about privacy of people.
they also accept Zcash thats why i love them even more
top marketplace in this space

I just checked but they still doesn't have a android app, that is not good. More of the sellers today prefer to make transactions on mobile. They'd be losing the users who wants to use this type of option and I think the privacy isn't going to be at risk even with apps.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the right time to buy now? Or wait for a bit to go even lower? on: December 17, 2019, 03:58:32 PM
It’s possible that he’s right but earlier in the summer he thought that Bitcoin would potentially drop to around $1000 so I didn’t buy at $3200. Obviously it never dropped to $1000 so I should have gone all in at $3200.

Very risky market so they say. If an investor have gotten your BTC being an early investors or have mined it from the beginning then there is not risk for him to sell right now and then convince the market to drop to $1000 and all gains are for him. But that is if him can successfully do it and can still by back at less than $1000.  Sick and greedy investors.

I wouldn't recommend buying right now unless its down to $3k. If its going to be to go that low, I hope it stays that low for a very long time for maybe 5 years or so.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 17, 2019, 02:52:39 PM

We don't know how much his knowledge to crypto can influence the whole panel to also create their own digital currency though. The reason perhaps that he suddenly said this is because he saw China, France and Germany are up to cryptocurrency and their digital fiat. Cryptocurrency is inevitable! Its true. Its here to stay.

Its a news to crypto I guess is because Dr. Swami is known to refute what he says today might be another the next day.  Grin

I have predicted that this will happen in some countries wherein they will create their own digital currencies wherein its centralized and is still fully controlled by the government. Yes cryptocurrency is inevitable because we should all jive with the current technology nowadays so that we will not be left behind.

Its what they are doing these days, its not surprising anymore that more and more countries soon will also launch digital fiat. With China on the lead of this, countries will see the benefit of re-aligning to progressive economic leader.

What could be beneficial for now might just be a disadvantage to another aspect though. This blockchain can become a big database for all to see and you may not be able to hide anything if a wallet is associated to you.
