1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: UNFAIR TREATMENT OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS on: December 04, 2019, 04:29:30 PM

Bounty managers are just dependent to the team as well, they don't have anything to make the team accountable for what is promised. There were bounty management platforms that were also scammed, the team as usual were given tokens as if it were valuable but after all the hard works, the team can still abandon the project leaving all with nothing.

Its the team that has to really be accountable and has to be made accountable. If bounty hunters can't do this, I guess we still are going to be promoting projects that will still scam us.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other ways of digital Marketing outside Bounties for cryptocurrencies. on: December 04, 2019, 04:06:53 PM

There is not much platform where projects can market but in bitcoin and crypto forums. Social media doesn't even work much for them unless they do google advertising which they can target coiners but this will cost a lot, probably even more than spending thousands in bitcointalk advertising. Paid articles work but has to be with the crypto influencers, this must be an opportunity for influencers there are only few of them but if the project fails, this influencer will not be influential in months.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: December 03, 2019, 04:58:47 PM
I think this often happens for beginners who are just new to cryptocurrency or can be said to have just joined the cryptocurrency where they do not really understand what cryptocurrency is and how it can generate profits from cryptocurrency. So most of them will choose to ask others for advice rather than, read and understand more about cryptocurrency before starting to trade, invest or mining.

The old users are also promoting the coins they have invested, this is about making money so all should be expecting that the we can hear unusual suggestion of coins to invest. But you can be assured that most of the traders will shill the tops coins in the market for they will not be on top unless these coins don't have the potential to dominate at least a certain percentage.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: This is definitely huge for Binance traders! on: December 03, 2019, 04:30:15 PM
Congrats Binance.
Yes all exchanges should just be doing all this so that the market will somehow just be one. Moving one to another will be much easy, I think this should also be done by decentralized exchanges. By then we can see  two competing markets the decentralize and dex and find data and we can analyze what sort of information and what can be done.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: December 03, 2019, 02:39:14 PM

When there is no volume to the shitcoin eventually it will be delisted from the market, what is not going to be delisted it the project which is an exchange itself. And if they turned out to be just one of the degenerate team of developers, you're in the situation where you have to option. You can count more than 10 of these projects that comes out since 2018.
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computing is not really a Bitcoin problem. on: December 03, 2019, 02:20:29 PM
I think the unsolved problem of phishing is more significant than quantum computing. We ourselves give our private key, not suspecting that they are attacking us.

Many developers had done it before to their bounty hunters by requiring them to send the private key inorder to claim or something. Bounty hunters comply as well, whatever the dev team says.

AFAIK the bitcoin network can just fork to a quantum resistant algorithm if and when this event happens. There is no apocolypse that a lot of people are stressing about - that is mostly FUD on the part of the media.

And if this happens, BTC will probably one of your least worries given that everything else in your daily life will get disrupted as well.

Also, quantum computing on even a commercial scale let alone individual scale is still very far away atm.
-----------------------------
Those who have a quantum computer can hack you. And not necessarily brute force attack, as everyone writes about it. There is a mathematical apparatus known only to cryptanalysts, which reduces the time of hacking by a huge number of times, relative to brute force attacks. If you plan to defend yourself with quantum cryptography, then you need to have a quantum computer for encryption. Read which systems claim, see what kind of resource they need, see what size keys they need to work, and it will become clear to you that your equipment is not suitable for these tasks. I think the problem is much more serious than it seems if you delve into the realities of today. A quantum computer attacks you, and you plan to defend yourself with old iron. The forces are not equal!

If they have the quantum computer, they probably attack satoshi's wallet the first chance they got. However it might be very difficult for them to do it since satoshi had never publicly done any transaction for the public key exposure.

1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 💩 We are now in the “shitcoin” season? 💩 on: December 02, 2019, 07:00:11 PM

Yes we are.
Difficult to see a good project now.
They had been creating shitty ICO or IEO and there is a lot of altcoins out there by now.
You cannot easily pick anymore and the money is being divided so there is just no sense to invest with them now.

Even those old altcoins are in bloodbath. Will there be any recovery someday? It is difficult to believe it anymore.
Even old altcoins are in the bear side of the market trend, there is no exit unless the recovery comes and take these altcoins. Everyone hopes for the halving which can increase the interest in the crypto investing but the predictions of illogical prices don't make sense for me. The altcoin investors are not going to wait for another year if the BTC halving doesn't bring the expected consequences.

Unfortunately there is no recovery that will happen since the shitcoins are still coming into the market everyday which are taking BTCs from its investors in exchange of their shitcoins. We see lots of these coins in the Announcement section which users are shilling for the shitcoins, what is interesting is that these coins are sold on exchange like vindaz thru the IEO.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: December 02, 2019, 06:40:28 PM

Has it happened that they in the end accept BTC because you have introduced them to BTC after asking them about accepting crypto?

I'm curious what you did say in case I will also be doing this. I haven't asked a store where I have been. There is store in a town having a BTC logo with them but weren't actually accepting which is weird. The people there doesn't even knew what BTC is.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 02, 2019, 05:22:36 PM
Yes altcoins can grow if on future most of altcoins will trade with pair USDT or USDC or any stable coins and also if they have enough trade volume and if they are bought by a lot of people and not selled.

Numerous coins were already paired to USD and stablecoins, though they are bought by traders in USD the coins are still dependent to the price of BTC. We may not be seeing a coin like that as long as BTC functions as a base currency for altcoins. But we are seeing ETH to be like a stand alone on the DEX where its the top token for all. ETH is always paired to the ERC tokens which these ERCtokens are depended to ETH's price.
1390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbies to trading on: December 02, 2019, 04:25:04 PM

Its the Practice that they may not really do here since the only way to practice is to Start small and starting small still will cost money. I myself have been losing money and are still practicing almost every time there is a spike and price dive. Self control and being patient is hard to do when you are already losing money. So training yourself to be patient is hard when you already lose money. Best Tip I got is to only trade when the price take sharp edges on BTC/USDT pair.
1391  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase Holds a Whopping 966,230 Bitcoin ($7B) in Cold Wallet on: December 02, 2019, 03:24:58 PM
Coinbase operates from 2012, and it is, therefore, no surprise that people trust them. They have very rigorous procedures for generating private keys, which include special rooms, computers that are destroyed after use, and backup in multiple locations around the world. According to them, 98% of the assets are located in cold wallets, and fiat they hold for users is also fully insured by banks with whom they work.

Although security is at an enviable level, it is strange that so much BTC is not actually owned by its owners (they not own private keys), and they can only pray that nothing bad happens. I think most are still not ready to be their own bank, but I think that will change over time - we do not need another Mt.Gox.

Destroying computers after use seem too much of a security measure, its a waste of money but probably because they know anyone can be computer forensic that can recover anything as long as it can possibly salvage. People actually use them for storage despite all the efforts of users reminding them that exchanges aren't safe. The number of exchange hacked and scam are in the news almost every year but yep no private key still something they don't worry.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Top 5 Staking Tokens on: December 01, 2019, 05:17:18 PM
I guess the top spot will be taken by Ethereum as it will turn to POS soon. Its still on the bearish side of the market and hopefully we will see some new buyers because of the staking concept brought in.
many people have been waiting for this update. and many hopes from investors will see an increase in demand come before the update begins. we can only hope and hope it happens. ethereum is a good asset, and I think the updates that have been prepared next year will be a big trigger for market movements.

I'd be more interested to see cheap coins for staking though. Probably less than $0.10 of a price will be more suitable since I don't have much budget for it. People are less trusting to altcoins and I'm just one of them. $200 is probably just the max I would spend to stake tokens for a passive income generator altcoin. OP should have mention the minimum requirements for each coin. ICON (ICX) is the closest cheap coin so far.

There are only two videos on your channel and you have not posted any video for more than week. Probably you have quit the youtube project or you are busy somewhere else ?

She said she'll cover more of the topics. Well he gained likes and subscribers already maybe few people from the forum. This is the first time I've actually see a real lady not related to any project but has interest in crypto.

I can see she is reading what she is saying, she must have been learning a lot this time now that somebody had correct her. Gave her merit so she'd be encourage to do more.

1394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here are the Top 15 Cryptocurrencies according to Coinbase users on: December 01, 2019, 02:40:02 PM
I am not surprised that bitcoin is still number one in different types of category specially in holding and popularity because I believe that bitcoin is still and will still holding the crown in the near future here in crypto industry. And I think bitcoin is not on top in trading because all we know that it is more profitable in long term trading and most of trader perform daily or short term trading.

XRP is almost similar the only difference is the holding time. Top 5 are all popular but XRP are being bought by a lot of users too. These information though might not affect the users who just see the data of CMC to be more accurate and almost everyone checks the data on CMC. Coinbase is just for US information, I don't even have an account there.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is Crushing The U.S. in Blockchain Adoption on: December 01, 2019, 12:57:26 PM
And China are going to ban crypto. Its much worse for industry
That is true, they are adopting blockchain in their country and then they will ban crypto completely.
Cryptocurrency will get nothing out of it, there is nothing good comes out from this adoption.

They are going to be using blockchain everywhere in China but will still ban crypto, its not too difficult to see why since this government are so fond of control but I think they will soon be allowing crypto in out special place which is probably Hongkong. They always leave a breeding ground for this technology to prosper.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are getting smarter but why not developers???? on: November 30, 2019, 06:39:12 PM
Getting the developer's token to be listed on an exchange will bet to the usecase of the token and its potential which is also calculated by the exchange whether they profit from it. For scammy exchange though like P2PB2B partnering with a project to launch IEO is also prepared most likely just to scam. The team and the exchange partner-up to scam investors.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's hard to spend Crypto - Make adopters out of entrepreneurs on: November 30, 2019, 05:20:28 PM
Small shops who the real owners are the ones in the store selling their stuff are likely easy to be convince to accept crypto.

I'd like to sell some some products as well where I can travel 3-5 miles to the city where I can park my van and sell my merchandise for BTC. I'd still accept fiat but crypto is much appreciated. This will save me rent a store space while I can move from place to another where I can find crowd.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will There Really Be An Altcoin Season or Just a plot to Keep us in the Loop on: November 30, 2019, 04:24:40 PM

When BTC rise up a bit, most of the altcoins also go up. Though the price in BTC doesn't really go up, its obvious that altcoins price go up because BTC price in USD go up. You may not see it as altcoin season but there are just coins that are being bought by traders as well maybe for its usecase like the BNB to which its price in BTC could go higher.

If we see BNB today is worth 0.002 BTC then we might be seeing the price of it soon 0.005BTC when bullrun comes while some other altcoins price stays the same like 0.000001BTC since last year but price in USD gradually go up still.
1399  Other / Meta / Re: We need an well trained police to fight these thugs on: November 30, 2019, 03:51:05 PM

You Boss have the right to post just about anything just like anyone here. If you have posted your speculations down to its new ALL TIME LOW then good, you can post it too. But don't go all the way to expect people to be convince and dumped what they have. Take it as a No for them but also take it like you have posted your prediction and that's it. Never mind it. Just honor the bet later on 0.05BTC and I think LFC will do so as well.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber criminals are using Youtube to install-Crypto jacking software on: November 30, 2019, 03:26:39 PM
Somedays people will be smart enough to not install anything from strange sources

That should have been what is happening since its more than decades that we are already in the digital age. I'm suspicious to the files I'm downloading if the link I click, though comes from the right domain where the original creator but redirects me to a mirror. Its very suspicious that I'd like to make sure I'm downloading to the real website and not to tech site like softonic, cnet, or filehippo because its just not safe.
