1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese City Warns Investors: Crypto Isn’t Blockchain on: December 17, 2019, 01:32:56 PM

Not really sure the difference because we call it crypto because its using blockchain just like the ethereum tokens uses eth chain. If they meant tokens that doesn't have its own blockchain then that must be something easy to understand but there are still lots of scams with coins that has its own blockchain.

My tiny brain can't distinguish the difference the fact that they also supported EOS, ETH, TRX which projects are using its blockchain. They are forcing people to be racist.
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries testing digital assets in 2020 on: December 16, 2019, 08:19:34 PM

France should now be on the list too, they did announce recently about its digital fiat. China was the first to announce creating their own digital yuan and this is why some of us are surprise the China is not in the list. China is one of the country that is already cashless.

The cashless society has already begun. We switched to this system with credit cards. Does anyone carry $ 100,000 in cash? The new system is also said to be encrypted money. Cryptocurrency can continue this work. But with a difference. Banks may disappear.

If the $100,000 in a form of digital cash backed by government, do you think we can be held in the airport and not allowed to travel? In the current law we are only allowed to bring $10k

1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 16, 2019, 07:19:08 PM

We don't know how much his knowledge to crypto can influence the whole panel to also create their own digital currency though. The reason perhaps that he suddenly said this is because he saw China, France and Germany are up to cryptocurrency and their digital fiat. Cryptocurrency is inevitable! Its true. Its here to stay.

Its a news to crypto I guess is because Dr. Swami is known to refute what he says today might be another the next day.  Grin
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: December 16, 2019, 06:39:47 PM
Low trading volume of a coin is a sign of a nearly dead coin and it could possibly be the reason why its has low volume in a daily basis but its probably not the case for some old coins which are only manipulated by holders with stashes of it.

There were new coins with low volume, not far from being a dying coin since its just started and I'm watching it for months because I tried to see how wild the price can be. Noah Coin is created by a team intended for the remittances related to my country and Japan, great coin but low volume but are promoted by celebrities in the country.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 16, 2019, 05:42:19 PM

I haven't seen it yet which altcoin is independent to BTC as of now. ETH almost make it though. The fact that it has its own market where the tokens are paired to ETH. DEX are often base on ETH too such as etherdelta and IDEX. Given time like 5 years from now, it may appear that tokens like ETH, EOS and TRON might just have be semi independent to BTC.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP BUYING BITCOIN NOW!!! This coin is crap on: December 16, 2019, 04:31:32 PM
It looks like you are a desperate person. You may have lost a lot when investing in bitcoin. Or maybe you're playing a stimulant and your mind is unstable. But no matter what, Bitcoin will remain the future and it will continue to dominate this market for a long time

possible im just fucked up or crazy im not arguing that

the only thing that bitcoin is dominating is the price

the biggest shit is the most expensive

Its no wonder only few have more BTC, its expensive its true. You might not have any either, you're not the only who has no BTC in the wallet. Don't worry about that you share the same sentiment with millions of people.

The Chinese didn't put bitcoin on top of the cryptocurrency list, which is why I would have to think BTC isn't the least they care to manipulate. They like ETH, TRX and EOS more than BTC.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: December 15, 2019, 07:24:59 PM
I think the current market conditions are still stable and not because there are certain parties who can manipulate price movements, but there are still many people who do not want to be left behind to be able to buy at cheap prices, resulting in more offers than market demand.
Stable for what? have you seen what already happened with matic coin? it was getting manipulated by the team and exchange site. crypto will always be a manipulative market and that is really possible to happen anytime. Cheap price becomes a bullshit reason when you are seeing an instant dump from the dev

Not only matic every project trying to to implement their project then they wish to go with exchanges and wanna make some money e on using it.
Then all the hunters and investors mostly goes to exchange and sell their coins as soon as possible to keep their funds very much safer.

Trading altcoins mostly are run by the early investors who will just dump in the market and then there's your developer who also wanna profit by milking the market for how long they may want it. Matic will just be dump as long as there isn't bullrun yet. They own the market, they may not follow the roadmap or announce something else forcing holders to dump. They'd be moving to BTC because its the safest so far not alts.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex is lying about Digibyte! on: December 15, 2019, 05:53:19 PM

They didn't say when they will delist, they only announce they will but not the date when. The price of the coin didn't crash since the day they announced though. He was just trolling, DGB has considerable volume than any coins in polo. Justin had been doing stupid stunts that doesn't help his TRX nor his polo which he should have been move to that direction to provide good support form his supporters.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run is coming! on: December 15, 2019, 05:08:03 PM
Nobody will invest now because they are busy with family meetings and Christmas preparations. If people really understand in January how much they have spent, then the Bitcoin price will fall even more. We will be able to think about the bull run in a few months.
Usually we will not see a huge stride in the market during December and i am not expecting a huge correction either, the market will be revolving around the current price range till mid January and then we can determine how the market will perform after that, i am not expecting a bull run in the next few months either as there is nothing positive going on around the market to see a rush in investment.

Despite the shilling of everyone about this halving there ain't really much money coming into crypto. The news about blockchain being adopted everywhere is just defeated with all the bears taking profit. The coins I expect to make a difference aren't taking chance, there is one that had been trying to push thier price up like STRATIS, their market looks good. But for BTC, its about to take a dive just to saturate.
1330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Outrages Bitcoin 2020 Price Predictions of 2019 - LONG LIST! on: December 15, 2019, 04:07:44 PM
Many predictions about bitcoin with a fantastic price increase but I'm not so sure about that especially with predictions of $50,000 and above, I just thought if bitcoin had reached the level of $ 15,000 it would probably be easier for longer but not directly soaring high but slowly but surely would go to the level high.
Predictions from anywhere I will not believe unless I see the definite market movements.

I wish there must be some stable price in 2020 around which bitcoin price must revolve. Like we have equity stocks that have some base price and price goes up and down above that base price. I do agree that predictions like $50k and above are not possbile seeing the oposition from different states.
What do you mean a stable price like the stable coin who seldom make a movement in the market? I think what you are wishing is a bitcoin like cryptocurrency that has a stable price yet it do fluctuate but not as strong as bitcoins volatility. Well, to be honest i haven't met a cryptocurrency just like that.

There wouldn't be stable price for BTC, its an open market anyone will put their price order. I still have doubts that we may be able to reach the $20k again even after halving, there are just more manipulations going to happen and until more coins are going to end dead.  Its going to be a long wait for a bitcoin holder to see it again but as long as it won't drop to $1k, its still a good market. I'd be happy to see BTC going to be $10k up to 2025 if $20k is not possible
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So when will we see a high budget Bitcoin movie? on: December 15, 2019, 03:39:26 PM
Yeah, speaking of high-budget (or at least, not low-budget) movies 'Crypto' comes to my mind. I haven't watched it, so I don't know whether it's against some cryptos or against Bitcoin, but judging by the trailer it's exactly the kind of movie you've described: that is, the one enforcing the stereotype that crypto is used by criminals. A movie distributed by Lionsgate and having Kurt Russell in the main cast got terrible reviews and was only released in 164 theaters. Unfortunately, it's impossible to find the info about the budget, but the movie looks like a complete disaster, fortunately.

spoilers
a guy that audits companies fiat accounts is hired to audit a company that is believed to be evading taxes in his old hometown. he meets up with old friends that mine bitcoin in a walk-in fridge at the back of a bar/pub. and ask that friend to help audit the company because it appears the company being audited is usng bitcoin to launder its money.
urns ut the laundering is linked to some shady blackmarket and hostages are taken and threats are made to stop investigating the company or else.
bit of action occurs, some people die some run around fearing their life including the auditors father(kurt russell) who was kidnapped.
i wont spoil the ending

Feels like I wanna download it already. But yes it portrait BTC being used by criminals which is why it doesn't help promote BTC. Can't say its political but its hard to promote crypto, the documentary which supposedly looks at cryptocurrency in every angle are sometimes purposely not mention the good sides.

If there is a high budget movie to be created, it should be directed by popular director at least probably involves big hollywood names and comedy genre as well. A netflix movie would be best so everyone has the time to check in on the upcoming movies.

1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 14, 2019, 06:28:44 PM
~snip
I'm not aware Conor help build the UFC, how?

He wasn't there from the beginning actually, I started watching MMA back 2006 I didn't hear his name. But people will be grateful to his work if what UFC had achieved is because of him. He can't blame people for treating him like a troll though, he can't just get away for all the comments he did all because he helped UFC.
If you really want to know the true meaning of this, you just need to check the pay scale of the fighters, earlier every fighter was satisfied with $20k and $40k every fight and when Conor McGregor started his career in the UFC he started a trend that the pay per views were so high that they were then gave the fighters the leverage to ask for bigger pay scales, in short Conor McGregor changed the sports for the athletes financially as now fighters are getting a million dollars per fight and it all because of Conor McGregor.

Now I know. It encourage me to be an MMA fighter already. Too bad he won't regain his reputation for being helpful to UFC though. Not everyone knew this information to look at him the way you do. He might just look as if a clown forever to the ones who see him being a cocky cock who gets beaten for not shutting his mouth.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 14, 2019, 09:12:19 AM
He's a joke and his loud mouth has made him into a caricature that everybody wants to see get smoked. That's the legacy he's built for himself, the loudmouth clown the everyone wants to see destroyed.
Why are you hating on him lol? Floyd Mayweather has a loudmouth as well and so does a lot of other boxers. People are jealous of him because he's rich and lives a very fancy life. His mouth was loud when he became the champion and created the greatest moments in history. So what has changed now? He's still talented, loud-mouthed and rich! Don't forget the "talented" part.

That is a common characteristic among casual fans of MMA hehehe. They forget that the loudmouth Conor helped build the UFC to where it is today.

I'm not aware Conor help build the UFC, how?

1334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] CryptoTalk.Org & Yobit Panel BTCtalk Signature Campaign Discussion on: December 14, 2019, 08:41:28 AM
On a slightly related note, I've found that Ethereum Classic withdrawals are perhaps the cheapest. Withdrawal fee is 0.005 ETC. That's less than 2 dollar cents in value presently. I don't think any other coin with decent volumes can match that. ETC can also be deposited directly to Coinbase Pro for trading back to BTC.

Thank you for tip. Until now I have used LTC for withdrawals on Coinbase, but the fee is 0.002 LTC and it is over $0.09 so the difference in % between $0.02 in ETC is very big.
Cheers!

Isn't XRP working?

There are some yobit users already confirming they can withdraw XRP which withdrawal is less than XRP price, it should also be cheap but this is because XRP is a liquid asset unlike LTC. Withdrawing XRP and turn it into cash is what they do. LTC is only going to be an option for some campaign participants if they are going to hold LTC.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think Libra Coin will Win on: December 14, 2019, 08:22:10 AM
My question to you is: Will regulators actually allow Libra to establish themselves, let alone succeed?

I think that if you have any sort of sense the answer to that question is no. The federal reserve has already shown that they are quite unwilling to let go of the control that they have over monetary policy to a private industry, especially one the size of Facebook.

It's not that Libra can't succeed, but it's just very difficult to do so.

Facebook is willing to negotiate and as far as I know they have now revise the whitepaper for the regulators to review again. There ain't no giving up there for Facebook and until they can lobby more lawmakers to side with them, Libra may just be making it to help the adoption. I wouldn't be using Libra if there is no need for me to. But this will open the eyes of the many people who are not even aware of BTC and other cryptocurrencies.

1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: December 14, 2019, 07:17:31 AM
for binance coins, it seems that achieving that price is not too difficult especially since the community is large and is also supported directly by the Binance market itself. Moreover, the previous BNB had also ever reached the price of 40$. so your prediction in my opinion is still fairly reasonable and very possible happen.
right, binance has many communities, with the support of rising bitcoin prices, I think it will quickly surpass what the OP is targeting. binance is still the biggest exchange to date, so almost all bitcoiners know that exchange

It seem to fail to reach up to $23, its mid Dec already. We all know traders needed BNB for every transactions in Binance, it looks like it droppping.  Despite BNB needed when you loan for the margin trading, it didn't hit that price. Traders prefer to cancel trades to avoid margin call than borrowing BNB, too much of a risk probably but we can now see how related BTC market to BNB.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Keys is coming. One exchange is going to fail. Stay safe, take action. on: December 13, 2019, 09:24:45 PM
I challenge the Bitcointalk community to make 2020's Proof of Keys the most impactful one yet. But it will take you reposting the writeup and raising awareness. Protect your fellow cryptocurrency friends from HitBTC's fraud.

it's a nice idea, but i don't think proof of keys has ever had much of an impact. in fact, i recall a scandal around this year's event where hitbtc froze accounts the day before: https://bitcoinist.com/hitbtc-trace-mayer-john-mcafee-keys/

but after a couple days, everyone forgot about it and things went back to normal.

i've been warning people away from hitbtc for a while, but experience has taught me that most people won't learn until an exchange fails or exit scams with their money. until that happens, people just don't understand the gravity of the risks they are taking by storing funds on exchanges.

Nothing happens until something happen just like the case of cryptopia. P2Pb2b is something where the group of users finally found something to nail the owners because they were caught having fake member profiles in their website. This is a sure way to see they can potentially scam people. HitBTC I guess can defend itself because if they were up to exit, they would have done it while BTC was $20k. But its true we see scam accusation to hitBTC, not sure if it were proven.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really still decentralized?? on: December 13, 2019, 09:11:04 PM

Manipulation of the market doesn't mean its not decentralized anymore, anyone with a will to manipulate can try to manipulate the market, you can spread fud to manipulate the market even with less BTC in your wallets.

What they mean when it comes to decentralization in bitcoin is that no central authority controls it, not even the miners. It will not even reach to 51 attack and miners will move to another pool.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: December 13, 2019, 07:05:14 PM

They won't be called stablecoins if they won't maintain the value of your money once all are crashing down. Yes we have seen tether's price somehow reaches up to 1.03USD If you actually have tons of USDT, you'd get extra BTC if timing is right when you buy back your BTC.

Lots of stablecoins to use, seem there is no issues to US government about all these anyway.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Keys is coming. One exchange is going to fail. Stay safe, take action. on: December 13, 2019, 05:17:39 PM

Can't remember the last time I use HitBTC, I can't say they are scam because I got all the funds I have. No more no less. Since the time exchanges asks KYC I started using two exchange only and hitbtc isn't one of them. But I might just need them one day.

I'm curious how they scammed OP though because if its his $150K that's been frozen, I wanna hear what HitBTC had to say.
