461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 25, 2021, 09:18:50 AM
These days, as the younger generation is exposed to digital gadgets, at some point, parents don't know anymore about what their kids are doing. So you are just trusting your kids to do the right thing, and remember what has been instilled to them. Some may be influenced by their peers also. So you can't absolutely track your kid's activities unless, you are very close to him/her that he/she is very open to discuss anything.
Indeed. But it depends on how we discipline our kids and set limit on when they can use their gadgets. Nowadays kids are very smart and curious to explore different things, but as long as we're not giving them money that they can use to purchase or to play gambling online then that would be fine. Proper guidance and spending time with them can help to know what kind of personalities our kids have hence we can understand them more.

Nevertheless playing gambling online is not that bad if we know to ourselves that its not a reliable way to earn. It can be a way to have fun specially during this time that the virus is still existing.
As long as they don't have any idea or are not exposed to any gambling platforms then I can tell that it's still safe. Kids are always curious about everything and I bet that they will try it if gambling caught their attention.

But before it happens, we should give them warnings or advice such as it might ruin their life if they made a mistake.

My father did the same thing when I was a kid, I thought that you should be good at handling money and which is I am not so I am afraid of gambling because I might lose my savings. Gambling isn't really my type at that time because I find it really boring and so oldy game. At an early age, I have knowledge of the importance of money so I'm really careful of spending unless it will make me happy such as food, games and toys.
462  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: July 24, 2021, 07:43:47 PM

464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 19, 2021, 11:15:28 PM
I kind o like feeling in control of my finances and that means controlling my spending and being very aware of what goes in and what goes out. I normally check my accounts every month and may make a few decisions on what to spend next month if things are not looking correct. One of the things I do is to set aside 10% of my income for things that I really do not need - expensive clothing, gadgets and electronics, books, games,... and part of that is gambling. For me, a reasonable gambling budget is 3 to 5% of my income, although I may allow more if I have some extraordinary income that month. How do you plan your gambling or fun budget?
That's a good practice, it will help you for not losing all of your money because of being greedy in gambling. Imagine if you're gerring hyped and lost all of your savings, it'll ruin your life. Let's always practice to have a small amount that is dedicated in gambling so that we can't use most of our money.
465  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCash is planning to add cryptocurrencies! on: July 19, 2021, 10:19:13 PM
Nice! Im a gcash user at madalas ko talagang gamitin anvgcash sa ibat ibang transactions dahil sobrang dali gamitin at walang fees if gcash to gcash ang transaction.

466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How crypto currency change your Life? on: July 19, 2021, 06:48:08 PM
How crypto currency change your life?

For me, When I was started it seems that in crypto world is not an easy way to have profits because of an online procedure and no controls. But then again when I know how to handle specially on Trading or in bounty program and that's the reason I started  to earn.
Cryptocurrency has completely transformed my financial life because I have made a significant profit by investing in it. All of the time spent researching crypto and putting in a lot of effort to gain BTC has paid off.I've had a lot of crypto experiences and many circumstances when I've regretted decisions, but sometimes the risks are worth it since I did my research on where I should invest my money. There are many memecoins, shitcoins, and even altcoins with usecase that have made me a lot of money in the last few months, and it has completely changed my life.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Art NFT projects confusion on: July 19, 2021, 06:30:06 PM
I understand that you can buy and sell item in games through NFT which means gaming NFT projects have a real purpose but I never just get the ART NFT projects, why would people pay huge amount of money for a gif or JPEG file? Can someone explain this better?
As long as the people is happy and want to collect art NFTs, I think it's not a problem? Everything can be an NFT, people will buy it if they found it very interesting as a collection and I don't have a problem with that. It's similar to us who buys what we enjoy, what we want because it makes us feel happy so there's nothing wrong with arts being an NFT.

Buying art NFT is like throwing your money into the canal, a friend got scammed investing in one of those art NFT, the only NFT projects I trust is in game NFT tokens, they are very reasonable to understand and they are surely well demanding than any other since the tokens are used in making upgrades in game world
Well, it will always depend because there are also game NFTs that are scams and doesn't have any updates on the game, probably rug pulls.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the popularity of cryptocurrency continue? on: July 19, 2021, 05:59:20 PM
Bitcoin will continue to grow in popularity as long as it is used in money-related activities. With the current economic crisis, many people are looking for alternatives and are contemplating cryptocurrencies as a way to earn more money. Crypto is currently quite popular in my country, particularly Defi and NFTs, such as the Axie Infinity. Many people in my country are now purchasing NFTs in order to play the game and earn more SLP, which is another crypto. The popularity of cryptocurrency will continue to rise as long as there are numerous activities taking place in the market.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 19, 2021, 05:34:06 PM
In my opinion, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the economies of all countries will stabilize, but fast or slow depends on each country. Just like this pandemic has caused the country where I live to have a severe economic downturn, life is extremely difficult, if we go through this pandemic to recover everything, I think it will take a long time.
It will undoubtedly take a long time for everything to return to normal. Some say this is the new normal, but I refuse to accept it because I know there will always be a solution; of course, humanity will not tolerate such a scenario and will restore things to their previous state. If you consider the procedure, it will take a long time and a lot of effort to return to normalcy, to a life without covid-19, where people can go outside without masks or alcohol. However, it will be unjust to those third-world countries that are struggling with Covid-19, compared to other countries that can recover quickly. His covid-19 is a serious threat to humanity and the economies of those countries attempting to climb the mountain.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2021, 05:22:49 PM
Some countries now ban the use of Bitcoin, or banks restrict cryptocurrency transactions, resulting in an increase in the number of long-term Bitcoin holders.
For example, in China, China prohibits the use of Bitcoin. If I were Chinese, I might be more anxious. Some ways can be found to avoid being caught by the Chinese government. I will consider putting it in a cold wallet. In this case, you can only choose to hold for a long time. After all, there is no exchange to trade,
So will anyone give up Bitcoin?
The only thing that comes to my mind is that Chinese fud always occurs when bitcoin is at its highest point. I'm not sure whether it's genuine fear about the economy, but I'm guessing they're just exploiting it to potentially dominate the market, with whales profiting from the fall of BTC's path to 100k. A scenario like this has already occurred, and I seriously doubt that they are giving up or losing faith in cryptocurrencies; in fact, they are quite clever in their use of it to increase profits and take use of it.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 19, 2021, 04:41:41 PM
I have gathered opinions from my colleagues and fellow crypto enthusiasts and we all agree that Bitcoin is still the choice of investment. If you come think of it, it has survived all the difficult problems it has faced all throughout the years. In my opinion, the times when Bitcoin is an unknown asset is over and many many people all over the world knows about it and wants to participate in it. You see that the price has been stable for the past months and did not fall down to the 20,000 range. That is showing how resilient Bitcoin is when it comes to price decrease.
I also believe that bitcoin is an excellent investment, particularly now that it has crashed and is so inexpensive to acquire. Bitcoin has demonstrated time and time again that it will provide you a profit every time bitcoin halving occurs. Many people already trust Bitcoin because many of us have invested in it over the last few years. So, unless you're not truly interested in bitcoin, there's no reason not to trust it.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 19, 2021, 03:14:51 PM
I like the idea to an extent if people need to be motivated and those loves lottery will eventually get it as that opens the door if they get vaccinated. So even if somebody is reluctant but this lottery would just force them or willingly they will take it and begin then normal routines. And government is in win-win situation here.
The same in some states in the US.

They've done that and it's very effective since people are also trying to recover from the pandemic and have hope that they probably were the one to get the prize.

It's really motivating if there's something like this although for some, they don't look good at it.
Many governments finds way to convince their people to go and do vaccines, it's very important to have vaccines but it's hard to trust the vaccines yet when their are people who shows some negative side effects. These moves to create activities to boost the vaccines count can help a lot same with some rules that only those who have vaccines are allowed to travel in some tourist spots.
Yeah, it's really hard to trust the vaccines right now because they might have any hidden effects soon and it's really dangerous if it has.

But right now it's really hard to live in this world knowing that anytime, COVID-19 will reach you and can cause death so it's really advisable to take vaccines right now even we have trust issues with it.

So the government is spending a lot of time encouraging their people to vaccinate because the economy is really affected if the cases and death because of COVID-19 are increasing.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: July 19, 2021, 12:53:54 PM
Requesting signature participants to contribute posts in gambling is to bring them or who reads through, into gambling starting from discussing on it. A base platform is created here by concern gambling site by providing initial free packages to start with. So better refrain on just discussing rather than falling into it completely. Unless and until you are experienced or wealth enough to play, do not push yourselves into gambling.
No. Signature campaign participants who are required to post on gambling boards isn't done because the casino/promoter wants them also to play on the site. I know people that are on signature camps that requires gambling posts but aren't really into gambling. It's fine, their job is just post constructively.
The main reason is that they want to have a decent discussion about gambling, and if it's a constructive post, it will pique people's interest in that post, as well as the campaign. That is why most signature efforts involving gambling platforms need them to participate in gambling.

You can engage in the conversation whether you are a gambler or not, as long as you contribute with good and rational responses regarding gambling, because some of them based their views and opinions on other individuals such as relatives and friends. The rules are in the op; they shouldn't if they can't, simple as that; however, if they can handle gambling-related topics, they should.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson from bear market on: July 19, 2021, 12:00:39 AM
The bear market just shows that it's not always a win win situation in crypto and it also shows that having a bear market means that crypto has a lot of investors. It's a sign that it's considered as a live market like the other exchanges, so we can tell that it's the same with others. You can learn a lot from bear market and one of it is to have a good timing in investing money in crypto.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: July 18, 2021, 11:35:04 PM
Even my family members also do not know what is bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.
Don't be so surprised, you are not alone. Many of my family members also don't know what Bitcoin or crypto is. They never read about it or even never heard about it before. Bitcoin or altcoin is legal as a digital asset in my country but it is not really popular. So, the news about Bitcoin or altcoin rarely appears on our national TV program, newspaper, magazine, or the like. Because of this, many people in my country don't about it.

Same case, they don't know anything about bitcoin because they aren't really techy enough to have some idea about it. Even bitcoin was being broadcasted in the public from national tv, i think they will just forget about it and will not caught their attention. It's really hard for them to believe that this kind of technology exist nowadays.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: July 18, 2021, 11:06:27 PM
People really are believing that bitcoin is bad for the enviroment but they didn't realize that there are many things which x3 worse that ruins the environment. This is a non-stop topic because many people are still worrying that bitcoin might destroy our environment but the reality is, it's just a small portion that affects the environment compare to other businesses that produces toxic wastes. I really hate this fud that was created recently and even known people like Elon believe this without putting research on it.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 18, 2021, 05:58:16 PM
Right now due to having a quarantine many people now become more active online and some of them discover a lot of things, many children today having their own gadgets at a young age and some of them allowing their parents to borrow that gadget which is sometimes connected to an account, I guess if the child knows some about gambling or not it has a chance that they will spend some unexpectedly because again the gambling online looks like a game only to their eyes. Better to keep aware to the children anything on the internet such as gambling can change their perspective in life.
As long as they won't know how to deposit, that would still be fine. But too bad that some kids have also access to their parent's funds and the parents do not notice what their kids are up to. And with the technology, they can easily learn how to exchange and deposit to the casinos but let's not focus on them and just only on the adults that have learned gambling because of the pandemic.
I believe that as long as people are unaware of how or what the game entails, they will be uninterested. There are accounts that are already logged in to the gambling site, and they may access and play using that account. Curiosity has given children the ability to look for and obtain information about what they want to know. So I guess it's better to lessen gambling activities in places where children can get an idea about it, if they don't have any idea about it, kids on playing gambling will not be a problem anymore.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: July 18, 2021, 05:30:00 PM
This is like the third time am seeing a thread talk about Gambling addiction,  does this mean this pandemic has given people a reason to gamble more such that they have forgotten to limit themselves??

If gambling is really an issue talk to some one you trust preferably family or friends because you don't want someone that will look down on you for opening up.
Yes, the pandemic gives people a reason to gamble, but that will not happen to all people because they cannot stay close to the gambling games. They know that gambling can give them the risk of losing money and they know about the consequences of becoming addicted to gambling games. It is not easy to share our dark side with other people, especially if we have a gambling addiction. But that will be the solution for that person if he wants to solve the addiction problem.
Many people are now attempting to bet as a result of the pandemic because they are bored or want to make more money through gaming.

In my country, cockfighting betting is highly popular, and I believe that many individuals have been addicted to it and lost all of their money.

So it's easy to persuade people in my nation to bet on cockfighting since people in my country are prone to FOMO and hence waste their money on such things.
479  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: July 18, 2021, 04:30:19 PM
Using drugs with such tournaments aren't really allowed but if those slap tournaments allow it then for those participants, they won't hesitate to take it. But if it's not, they won't.

I don't think doping works that way Cheesy There are many sports where there is a list of banned substances and the athletes do not hesitate to take them if it works for them. UFC even had a TRT rule before where they allowed it, and the fighters abused even that. However, doping in slapping tournaments does not make any sense.
Well, that can happen in the slapping tournaments because we are new in that sport as we know that some players consume that doping to have more speed or something that can help them increase their ability. But the association somehow will know about what they did before and they will get them and give them to get the punishment. If this allows the player in the slapping tournaments to use doping without anyone knowing, they can get caught.
Yes, some drugs can benefit an individual's mental and physical health by boosting their confidence, but this may be unjust to some. This type of activity, especially if it is prohibited in competitions, will result in them facing the repercussions for breaking the rules, and it will, of course, damage the experience of other individuals who will participate in the event. When it comes to tournaments with a large prize pool, you should always play safe and avoid doing anything illegal so that if you win, you won't have any more problems.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 18, 2021, 04:16:46 PM
Obviously he is from some developed country. In countries like my gambling addiction, if it is considered a disease, then no methods of treatment or something similar are offered. It is believed that this is a personal problem of a person and if you go to a hospital (public) with such a problem, you simply will not be taken seriously. So I must admit that he was lucky in some ways.
developed countries have more facilities than poor or developing countries in helping citizens overcome their gambling addiction...

in my city gambling addiction is not a serious thing because my city still prohibits gambling business strictly but among 1000 gamblers there must be one who is addicted. someone who is addicted to gambling in my city has to spend personal money to go to a psychiatrist.

We can say that in poor countries the best treatment is a ban  Grin Which unfortunately applies to healthy people also. It should be noted that although this reduces the number of gamblers, this approach also has huge negative sides - the restriction of freedom and the criminalization of this business.

Agree a lot of gambling business will operate illegaly and in underground. Though a ban is really a good thing to stop to be addicted but i think people are going to find ways to play although it could be illegally.  I dont know if you could assess your self that you are already addicted to gambling because you are just thinking that it is your normal routine unless someone or your relatives are telling you about your doings.

I think most of us are just going to think it's normal just as we got addicted to riding our bikes after we learned it when we were kids. But that was something that isn't affecting, unlike gambling addiction.

If a person got caught over and over but will still seek ways to play even when it's illegal in their state, it's sure an addiction. It doesn't matter anymore if he does it for a money source. This is worse already. His early signs could be seen while he plays in hiding with friends.
Yes, it is an indication of gambling addiction if you are unconcerned about the consequences of your actions. Most of us do not believe this since we have a gambling addiction and only want to play and play without considering whether or not we are still financially sound.

In such a scenario, many of those who become addicted to gambling lose a lot of money, and it has a mental, emotional, and occasionally physical impact on them if they become violent as a result of their addiction.
