@nutildah. Post country Taylor Swift is an agent of the Illuminati. No one is allowed to say anything bad about her hehehehe. The comedian Jokoy in the Golden Globe awards has also witnessed this after making a joke about her getting more screen time in the NFL than the awards show.

In any case, another prediction on where Belichick will go. The Cowboys will lose this playoff game and fire Mike McCartney and replace him with Bill hehehe.

No way bill goes to the Cowboys.  Hokestly I think he is done for awhile.  He had a hell of a run with the Patriots why would he want to try to replicate that.  Maybe I'm wrong but if belicheck goes to the Cowboys I'd be surprised.  With Jerry Jones being the GM I don't think bill could stomach that.

Everyone is leaving the Champs out to dry huh?  In a lot of different forums I see nobody giving them a chance.  They have a tough road but they still have magic mahones and he has 2 good legs this year.  I will never count that dude out and in a long shot I have them winning the chip again.

I wouldn't call Ravens superbowl lock based on Lamar postseason history

I wouldn't call anyone a "lock" per say, I just can't see the Ravens or Niners not being in it.  Lamar is likely to be this years MVP, almost a certainly in fact, but I agree that he's not been the regular season MVP so much in the post-season.  Now I'm not sure I abide by this saying, but they do say "defense wins championships" and I believe the Ravens to have the best defense in the league, so that will certainly play a sizable role.

Dude...I feel like mahones is the new Brady in terms of counting him out and then come playoffs they just roll.  I'm with you with the Ravens but when I had to throw money down I'm all in on the cheifs until I see someone knock them out.  Mahones did it on one leg last year.  He has 2 now! Lol.

Well Mahomes is hands down the unquestioned best football player on the planet, and he's already in my top 5 best QBs ever.  I mean I got Brady and maybe Manning (Eli of course  Cheesy ) above him right now.

Here's my picks for the games this nice warm cozy weekend lol...

Texans > Browns +2
Chiefs > Dolphins ML
Bills> Steelers ML
Cowboys > Packers -7
Rams>Lions +3
Bucs>Eagles +3

I got the cheifs in a cold one.  I think it's supposed to be upwards of negative 10 degrees with the windchill.  Miami being used to the warm weather I think this is the worst conditions they could see.  Tough to air it out downfield to hill when the ball feels like a cement block.  Think it's gonna be a pound and ground game.  Cheifs in a 19-17 win at home to move on!
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 05:41:37 PM
Do you believe that you will be more disciplined in sports betting if you have a dedicated bankroll?

According to the article I read, when you gamble without a proper bankroll, you are likely to make mistakes. One of the main errors is chasing losses because you are using money not intended for gambling, such as funds meant for paying bills and rent.

Let's consider an example:

Suppose you have a monthly salary of $500, and you can only afford to gamble $50, which is 10% of your salary. This $50 should ideally last for one month of gambling. However, if you don't treat it as your bankroll and believe you can replenish it from your salary when you lose, you are likely to lose focus. This may lead you to use funds that are meant for your basic needs.

So the question is, can you manage with $50 as your total monthly bankroll, or would you rather increase it and risk losing money that is not meant for such purposes?

I think it's up to the individual.  Bankroll or not people always tend to chase losses no matter what their stack is.  It's a physiological thing.  Stay within the bounds of what you normally bet and small or large bankroll the results should tend to be the same.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 12, 2024, 10:37:27 PM
As we all know, the Bitcoin ETF is already approved. So, do you think the next ETF for Ethereum will be approved as well? Many companies, including BlackRock, have filled the Ethereum ETF as well. I believe the line is already clear to approve the Ethereum ETF since the SEC gave green light to the Bitcoin ETF. We have noticed significant price movements on Ethereum since Bitcoin EFT was approved. I don't see any reason not to approve the Ethereum ETF as well. The deadline is May for the Ethereum ETF. We have to wait for that. What's your thoughts about Ethereum ETF?

I don't think that will be so quick.  That will blow the top open for all other altcoins to start having etfs.  It was a large enough effort to get this through I don't believe they are gonna roll over that quick on eth.  Just because it's a large cap alt doesn't stop it from being just another altcoin.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 12, 2024, 10:35:21 PM
I was scrolling on my social media feeds one day until a very close friend of mine showed me a meme vid. We usually send memes to each other as our little way of communicating which I think some of you guys will get, but this one not only cracked me up, it also kind of opened my eyes at how fucked up Brick-and-Mortar Casino Enjoyers could be if they tried.

GIRL SITS AT CASINO SLOT MACHINE CHAIR TO PEE

Watching this "meme vid" or whatever made me curious enough to dig into this little rabbit hole where I see casino gamblers, particularly those who play slot, go bonkers and I mean like literal mental while playing slots. I mean most of them are depicted to even claw at the screen as if it's going to do anything.

I gotta say man, I know gambling for some people is bad but when they say it's bad I didn't think it'd be this worse lol. Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.

Brick and mortar casinos are great.  This type of weird stuff happens all over the place honestly. People are wierd but that doesn't mean the mass amount of people in casinos are like this.  Most casinos have bars with bands, clubs, events, great dinner places etc.  Also there is no replacing in person poker vs online.

How about the first career triple-double of Victor Wembenyama?

That was good. I think if Victor continues to progress, we will see more than one triple-double from him, but not with ten assists, but with ten blocks. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes even a quadruple-double one day, as players like Olajuwon and Robinson have done before.

The other match of the night for me was between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix, and Los Angeles continued its inconsistent play as before and lost 109-127 at home. When Anthony Davis and LeBron scored few points, defeat became inevitable.
Milwaukee, second in the Eastern Conference, defeated leader Boston at home with a score of 135-102.

It was another pathetic performance by the Lakers. It looks like they didn't even try to beat the Suns in this game, as no Lakers player even managed to score 20 points.

The Lakers just stink.  When ypu are starting austin reaves ypu kmwo ypu are in trouble.  Honestly he is a good bench piece but he isn't a championship contending starter.  The rest of the team outside Bron and AD is sub par at best.  If AD or Bron go down for an extended amount of time the Lakers are in trouble.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patriots and Bill Belichick Have Mutually Agreed to Part Ways on: January 12, 2024, 10:30:13 PM
Had to be done, he can't handle HC position.

I heard on the radio that Craft wanted him to stay, but he wanted out.  You never know what happens behind closed doors, though.  Pete Carroll is also out as coach of the Seahawks, he's stepping into an executive roll...  I hope Belichick doesn't find his way to the NFC west!  Shocked
And Nick Saban just retired as well, in the span of 24 hours the GOAT HC of Football and College Football lost or quit their jobs for one reason or another, one of those things we may never see again.

But while Saban seems to be heading into retirement, Belichick will coach again, teams like the Panthers have expressed their interest for Belichick since last year, but they are a dumpster fire with no first round picks and an awful owner so I doubt he will go there.

For my part I would like to see him going to the Chargers, since they are a disaster on and off the field since they are 34 millions over the cap and they need someone like Belichick to fix things up and get the most out of all the talent they do have.

But the best possible options could be either the Texans or the Bengals, both have great QBs, 74 and 69 millions on cap space respectively for the next year and not the best coaches, I do not know if those teams have shown any interest on Belichick, but if i was the owner I would be interested.

Yeah crazy.  The Belichek or Saban wasn't a surprise for either organization, they both had agreement on new coaches immediately.  The Patriots one is an interesting one.  I thought they would at least interview some other people but I guess knowing mayo for years they know who they got.  Was a perfect time for belichek to split honestly.

These projects pop up like moles all day long.  Memecoins will never have a long existence.  If they are a joke who will ever take them seriously enough to invest into long term.  Most of these things are holding onto the 2020 and 2021 memecoin run and trying to get Rick off it.  I'd steer as far away as possible.

Divorce is destroying a lot of men's wealth in the US so Pat Riley looking out for his coach best interest there hehe. I also think the timing of the contract extension was planned.
Heard this news yesterday night. The Miami Heat management definitely did well here in taking care of Coach Spo. He may not have given them a ring again but he had always been one step closer to the championship ring ever since they acquired Jimmy Butler. The bubble and last year where they came from the play-in tournament that was recorded as the first time to happen in the league. Good coaching and system and we have not seen Butler creating any drama ever since he went to Miami.

How about the first career triple-double of Victor Wembenyama?
I didn't get to watch the Spurs yesterday playing against the Detroit Pistons because both teams are at the bottom of the ranking so I thought it wouldn't be that much fun. I just checked the highlights after reading the news.

Quote
The 7-foot-3 French rookie phenom had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for his first triple-double in the NBA, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 130-108 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Winning on the road and blowing out Detroit. That's awesome. Wemby will have more triple-doubles in the future, he ain't bad with his passing skills and he can also ball handle at an average skill. With his height, he can definitely see open men on the whole floor just like how Jokic is doing it.

Yeah he is going to be a nightmare to come.  Peak ceiling he will be hlgiannis with a better handle and better outside shot.  That's a terror to deal with.  He held his own against giannis this year.  I'm still skeptical to anoint him the future, he needs to show that his body can hold up to the rigors of the NBA or he will just become another could've would've should've in the league.  Hopefully them knees stay in tact.

There’s a couple of great games tonight and they’re being televised on TNT. I’ll be watching.

First, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. This in my opinion is likely to be the Eastern Conference Finals matchup.

Closing out the night is the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. Maybe not a playoff preview, but anytime LeBron and Durant face off is worth watching.
I know the Milwaukee Bucks currently 2nd in the Eastern standing but I doubt they can make Eastern Finals this season. For me it's Celtics against Pacers. If Tyrese Haliburton stays healthy this season I'll go with the Pacers but if not, I still won't choose the Bucks. I'll go with the Knicks. The Knicks right now are a good team especially with they acquired RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. Giannis being inconsistent might mean the Bucks face similar issues as last season, possibly ending with a first round exit again this season. 😂

Knicks didn't aquire IQ and RJ they traded them.  The Knicks ended up with OG anunoby and a couple othe bench guys.  The Knicks definately got better, I was on the fence but OG comes in and guards the best guy 1-4 and is a shut down defender.  Jaylen Brunson has 44 assists in the 5 games since rj left.  A lot more ball movement.  Losing IQ hurt the bench but Q grimes and Mcbride are gonna have to step up.  Wish Luka was playing it would have been on of the games of the night even though not a tnt game.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Master node Experience - worth it? on: January 10, 2024, 10:18:38 PM
Are masternodes even still a thing in 2024? The last time masternodes have been hot was in 2016-2017 with projects like Dash. The cryptocurrency industry has moved to staking now — which makes a bit more sense because it's pretty similar to dividends with stocks.

Yeah I haven't heard too much about masterworks lately either.  Most of those were scams coins (like most all other fads).  So if you are asking I'd have to say no.you missed that boat and even then it was more lucrative just to buy and sell than try to mine those coins
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 10, 2024, 10:16:57 PM
I am not sure what Lakers could offer to get Mitchell, or Lavine to be fair but at least Lavine is not doing anything so he could be traded for not much in order for Bulls to potentially tank, whereas it doesn't make sense at all for Mitchell to leave, Cavs are doing fine.

This is why I am guessing that it is not going to be all that easy to handle for Lakers to convince them for a trade. In the end, Lakers already lost the title, it is not even a discussion anymore, they are not going to win it, no matter what kind of trade they do, no realistic trade in the world could make them better. They need to realize that they didn't build the squad around Lebron like they should, and now they are facing the troubles of that.

Yeah I'm not sure if they have the assets to swing that trade.  Outside of Bron and AD no current players really scratch the itch.  And if they keep Bron and AD and add someone like Mitchell their first round picks won't seem all that valuable since they will more than likely be in the 20s
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 10, 2024, 10:14:33 PM
Don't really care for lotteries all that much.  I'm not much of a long shot type gambler though.  I like games like roulette, blackjack, poker etc where you can sway the odds or at least be a part of the decision making process that will result in an outcome.  Good for them but one in a trillion odds aren't for me.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on favorites early in the week & underdogs late in the week strategy... on: January 10, 2024, 10:13:00 PM
I am by no means a professional gambler, and therefore I've certainly got plenty to learn (one of the reasons I like being active in this part of the forum).  I was recently listening to a gambling talk radio podcast and they were saying one basic rule of thumb to live by when sports betting is to bet favorites in the early part of the week and under-dogs in the later part of the week as the spread tends to favor this strategy.

So I'm just curious if the sports betters in here take this "rule of thumb" strategy seriously and tend to follow it.  Or if there's any experience that says this may not be all that great of a strategy.  Thoughts?

Ima a wait until the game is about to start kind of guy.  People get thrown on injury reports or is deactivated in nba or baseball for rest and it screws everything else up.  Yeah it can work in your favor but when I'm sports gambling I like the most information I can possibly get.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Talk community's input has made a real impact on: January 09, 2024, 10:04:21 PM
So just another shill thread?  What does the bitcointalk community have anything to do with this.  I honestly hoped by now these things would just slow down but it looks like as we get into another bull run we are gonna have another wave of nonsense like this to pop up.  Any gimmicks should be treated as a scam and nothing else.  Moving along.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next alt season? on: January 09, 2024, 10:00:04 PM
The majority of my portfolio is in altcoins and I am currently 29% in profit which I am happy with considering the Bitcoin halving is still 3 months away.

This is my first bull run over the next few years so I am just wondering when do altcoins usually start really pumping, is it long after the Bitcoin halving?

Anyone that responds here doesn't have an idea just like you don't.  Every cycle does not ensure the next one happens the same.  The problem I see though is that you are in a majority of just altcoins.  Why wouldn't you be in bitcoin and to a lesser degree altcoins?  Thought of getting rich off of these fringe projects usually does not end up well.
520  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 09, 2024, 09:58:17 PM
It's like any addiction that is unhealthy it affects both in different ways but probably the same.  The only thing I can say about the immediate family if it gets real bad they can remove themselves from the situation whereas the gambler can physically choose to change the way they are.  The helplessness from the family is unique as well as the gamblers mental health.  Different animals but both are affected.
