Coinplay.com can be added to the F-list for scam sportsbooks if you see what they did to me:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5446504.msg61986669#msg61986669
Wow, sorry to see this. Do I have permission to inquire about your account? Is so, I'll shoot them an email to see what happened.
523  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: March 28, 2023, 12:41:08 AM
It's a bit late but these march madness promotions are still worth participating in.

https://duelbits.com/promotions/march-madness-multi-insurance  ($50 in free bet if you lose your 4-leg parlay)

https://promotions.roobet.com/promotions/march-madness (random prize drops for everyone who placed a bet on ncaab and halftime/full-time bet insurance)

Also a few suggestions to the list, there's Futuur that can be potentially added to the prediction markets list and betcrypto365 might have to be moved under F-rated as the thread is inactive and one user is having issues withdrawing their money.

Then for the NR list, I'll just link their ann thread below, and feel free to add them.

Thanks for the info ralle. It's been added.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 20, 2023, 08:06:00 AM
To be honest, i dont understand why some ppl so mad at KYC... and would like to know opinions of who is against that, just to understand an their view.
actually most people that go against KYC when dealing in Online gambling discussion here are mostly not a real gamblers instead those are the accounts that only follow others post and not really a gambler on their own.
because if you truly gamble here and knows the crypto gambling? then you must also understand that for us to withdraw big amount once we got lucky to have? then the issue of KYC will always comes out though there are still casino that does not implement these yet expect this to happen in the coming days or years.

Some won't KYC as long as each transaction is under 5000 NAf. That was the rule at one time so it may have changed. They will set their own weekly or daily limit. Some books may KYC for a withdrawal of $50 USD. The laws in Costa Rica are different than those in Curacao. Each book seems to do it differently. Depending on the amount, some may even ask for source of funds. Then there are casinos asking for KYC to come up with a reason not to pay.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 20, 2023, 05:02:18 AM
There are people like me who dislike KYC verification requirements from online casinos, and I always have two complaints about it.

1. Why the need for KYC.

2. Why pretend they won't ask for KYC, but ask for verification after a big win.

While my lack of knowledge has kept me away from several big online casinos in this forum, I decided to do some additional research in my spare time.

Some Facts Why KYC Verification is a Necessity For Online Casinos.

~Online gambling businesses have become more attractive since the Covid19 days, more money entered the gambling business, making the attention very noticeable, also a good opportunity for the law to go after them.

~There are penalties on online gambling necks too, they have to implement anti-money laundering procedures just to survive, many online gambling platforms faced the panel in the past and ceased to exist.

~You have no idea how much these companies spend per year just to be friendly to the law and pass criterion regulations and business procedures, it is called intense regulation, to avoid fines.

~The only way these people can avoid the mistake of allowing fraudsters into their system ( gambling platform ) is by having KYC and AML (anti-money laundering ) in place.

~If you see another way that I don't, do drop your comment, because people can't be trusted, they will pretend to be a random online gambler but they have other bad intentions in mind.

From now henceforth, my assumptions about KYC verification from reputable online gambling platforms have changed, I seek for answers and I find them, drop your opinions if you think I am wrong or you think this is not accurate enough.

I'm against KYC because it would be naive to think that your personal information isn't being sold. Someone will sell your information. It doesn't matter if a book is credible or not. Almost all the bitcoin books and casinos are regulated by Curacao or Costa Rica. Even though they all have the same licenses, the degree of KYC is different. Some rarely do KYC and others will KYC often.

Feel free to post all NCAA tourney contests and brackets.

@GekkeBelg , I contacted Playbetr and it seems that some of the VIP accounts were moved to Betcoin. Playbetr is still accepting new signups. I'll make some changes to grades after the NCAA tourney to make sure that players are getting paid since this is a very busy time for the books.
528  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: March 12, 2023, 05:24:37 AM
Hello,

Some remarks:

- Playbetr.com no longer exists. They migrated all accounts to their sister site Betcoin.ag so you can remove them.
- Owl.games definitely does not deserve their C-rating. There is a lot of negative comments about them on here and their support is absolutely horrible.
- Winz.io definitely deserves a place in your list, in my opinion at the very least a C-rating because they're fairly new, but with the potential to grow to B or A for sure.
- Bc.game is also missing, which is strange since they have been in business for about 2 years already and are a fairly well respected sportsbook by now. At least C-rating.
- Are you sure anonibet.com still deserves their C-rating? It seems they are like a ghost site, no reports about them and you never hear something about them. Are they even active and paying?
- Betplay.io should have a rating too, they have been in business for many years and they have a friendly support and good service. The only negative is a bit of poor odds and low limits.

Otherwise a good list with some new names in it which I didn't even know, so therefore very useful.

GekkeBelg - thank you for all of the information above. Let me look into all of it a little more in depth before making any changes or responses.

Criteria used to rate a book.

1. Security - getting paid is by far most important.

2. Working with the forum. This is a player's thread and books are held responsible for their actions. Questions are asked of books concerning number of employees, time in business, experience, poster problems, etc. If a book is going to ignore a player's thread, they will be severely downgraded. Most books are very easy to work with.

The following cannot be quantified as to importance since being highly detrimental in one category may supersede other criteria used.

3. Poster review - poster review is much more important at bitcointalk than other forums, but other forums are also read. A high review from a new book will weigh less than the review of a book that's been in existence 2+ years.

4. Anonymous - one of the reasons that bitcoin books are used is to stay anonymous. There may be times where it is necessary to question players but it should be a minimum.

5. Margins - If players are going to have a chance to beat a book the margins have to be tight enough to give us that chance. If the margins are larger than -110 (1.91) that's a big blow to a book's rating.

6. Payout speed - If the average is longer than one hour, a book will be downgraded. One hour is sufficient due to possible grading errors. A large book is dealing with a significant amount of money along with a huge player base.

7. Markets - The more betting options, the better.

8. Traffic  - time in business along with amount of players that a book has gives us a large sample size.

9. Currencies used - It's easier on the player if we are allowed to deposit and withdraw from alts.

Miscellaneous - Books accepting fiat currencies are omitted from the guide. Other forums are read to make sure the ratings here aren't significantly out of line with the average of other books.

530  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 06, 2023, 07:54:53 AM
Apparently, the request by members for casino review is becoming demanding due to some experience they have had with some casinos coupled with the complaints of account banning, suspension and poor customer care service which is now beginning to eat deep into casinos with claims of account holders defaulting their policies which if properly investigated, the gambler is not guilty of the penalty and actions metted against them. Some cases here onboard this platform have been sorted out with some gamblers being innocent and funds by winning being released to them while some casinos and their representative are no where to be found.
Of lately, there have been some issues with casinos locking their thread preventing further discussion by members while directing members to their website customer care which is barely active in responding to members.

Nevertheless I was thinking if there could be a thread under the Economy board created separately for casinos review ( all casinos registered here) with star ratings whereby members could also take part in the ratings for casinos and their performance which would make them seat up doing things right. This would make all registered casinos and their various representatives onboard this platform to doing their work diligently in responding to customers and being active here.  However, if a casino fails to doing or resolving issues between a member and them and consecutively, such casino is being reported here and after much deliberation on the scam accusations board or reputation with no fruitful result, hence there is every possibility of blacklisting such casino by high rank DT1 and DT2 members after they have put efforts to resolving the issues but the casino fails to resolve.
With this, I think casinos would start being up and doing accordingly to avoid being blacklisted here because if they should get blacklisted, that means they are not upto standard for operating  here.
With this casino review and ratings board members both old and new would know better casinos to identify with and if any member chooses to identify with a casino after seeing their ratings and review to be very poor, that member would have no option than to face his or her problem by themselves when it dawn on them or if the case is otherwise.

This is an opinion which would welcome more contributions and possibly ways to develop this particular board if considered and deemed fit to hid to.

Thank you

A lot of poster reviews are in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717790.0

and also can you suggest some trusted sites please?

You can look at the thread i#1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion n which the bookmakers are listed, but they also have online casinos that are rated, but in any case, you need to additionally conduct research yourself and use it just for information, since many review sites about online casinos may simply have customized reviews.

I’ll join along with the others wearing Stake signatures and say that Stake is my preferred and currently only sports book I use. I think the reasons are because they’re making progress operating legally in the United States, they are trusted enough for superstars like Drake to partner with them, they’ve never done me wrong in any way, they support cool social media influencers, and lastly and most obvious, they pay me. Smiley
Are they making progress in operating legally in the US? Is there any news about that? Because as can be seen on their Licenses page, they clearly say "No US Bets" and that the IPs are blocked if someone uses the site from around there. But I heard that Stake is not strict about using VPNs to access their services.

Apart from Drake, they've also extended their partnership with UFC recently. So that probably brings in more hype and more gamblers for the platform.

Nitrobetting and Betcoin are the only two that accept players from the US.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's your favorite sportsbook and why? on: February 23, 2023, 05:49:29 AM
Top 3

Nitrobetting - great lines and love the Racebook for the horses. Bonuses for sports, casino and racing. Anonibet, Nitrobetting and Betcoin are all at least 10 years old.
Betcoin/Playbetr - great lines here too since you can play at 3 different sportsbooks with Betcoin at the same site. Interface is the most modern imo.
Stake - guys above did a good job covering Stake.

Add Alienbets.com (2022) to NR.

Alienbets.com is not a website, it gives me a page where you can buy that domain.

Or did you mean Alienbet.com ? But in that case it would not qualify for your ratings since they hold the accounts only in Fiat currencies.

Per usual, peepsplace has no clue what hes even talking about

@GekkeBelg My mistake, it should have been Alienbet. As long as deposits are crypto only, a rating will go up.

From chat when I asked about USD and Euros
Quote
Alienbet Support 01:07 PM
We support both currencies.
But deposit can be done using only crypto.

is it possible to find out which odds provider a sportsbook uses?

I'll try to add this in the next couple of weeks. If anyone knows the odds providers of the different books, please post to help out.

-snip

but I am not sure for Betfury.
why don't you not sure BetFury? even though BetFury is also one of the casinos that has been around for a long time and for me BetFury deserves a rating.
it's just that BetFury currently has unresolved pros and cons.

but BetFury is currently still running smoothly and also has a very large number of customers and many loyal gamblers at BetFury.
so you don't need to be unsure about BetFury
.

BetFury will be added within a week along with some changes now that the Super Bowl has concluded.
537  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best crypto casino for Netherlands? on: February 18, 2023, 04:33:11 AM
What is a trustworthy casino for residents of the Netherlands?
Online gambling became illegal since about 2021, and is only legal at 'regulated' casinos that take 33% tax from your winnings above 450 euro.

I came across many sites, for instance stake.com. They allow VPN, but users from the Netherlands are not accepted, this means you need to enter a false identity. Is there any casino out there that is trustworthy for residents of the Netherlands? One that will not ask for your identity or block your account when you win a big amount?. I know there are casinos out there that requires no KYC, but will they still be trustworthy if you win a large amount over $10k?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The casinos i'm looking for are those that have Netent and Play n Go slots.

Here's a list of the top sportsbooks with casinos although I'm not sure which ones ban the Netherlands. Never play at a casino that doesn't accept your country.

And Betonbit can also be removed from the D rated books as i've checked their site earlier and it seems like they've closed down for good.
