521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2023, 08:31:53 PM
Lakers lost in dramatic fashion, nearly 20 point difference. They really need other players to step up, Lebron and AD alone can't do that much, Austin tried a bit this time around but that didn't really worked out that well for him neither considering they still lost. Inefficiency of the players when Lebron is not around could be their biggest problem, when he is on the floor, even if he doesn't play that well (although he plays well) at least he gets the defenders on him, 35 points just last game, 24 here, and I think the point is that when defenders are on him, others have easier shot selection.

They are indeed very inconsistent for now, they look for Lebron as their playmaker, and they supposed to improved in their shooting for this year, but that is not the case. Even getting Wood and Hayes as a back up for AD, but they seems to be not adjusting on that. Lebron will be Lebron though, day in day out he will go out and score. But if he didn't get the help that he wanted, they re going to struggle and lost just like what they did here.

And I thought that they have all the advantage against the Magic, size, basketball IQ. But it seems that Ham couldn't really adjust with the new Lakers line up. His plays are still evolved AD and Lebron and if they are not in the floor, they look disorganized.
522  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 05, 2023, 12:55:22 PM
I wonder how effective this program is. Have there been any testimonies from addicted gamblers who were helped by your platform?

Good question, but it seems that this is just a new platform, so they might not have or maybe few gamblers have reach out to them. And if ever they have, the data is going to be fairly young. But I do hope that the OP will comeback for more data in the future.

This is free, as you mentioned, so I'm curious about its effectiveness. Gambling addiction is a serious issue and often requires expensive sessions to address. I appreciate the effort, though. I'll explore your website to gather more information, but I don't need help right now. Hopefully, I won't need it in the future.

I guess it's really up to the individual itself whether he wanted to quit or believed in this kind of services to help him out of his gambling addiction. But yeah, obviously we really like this kind of efforts from members here and we can only wish that those who are addicted right now and will reach out to them for help. And so there will be success stories specially if it will come from a forum members.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? on: November 05, 2023, 12:00:54 PM
What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? It can be anything like some sort of scam happening to you or some other type of loss.

Bitcoin doubler, during the time that I entered bitcoin market, there's a lot of scams already, but one of the earliest is the doubler, not sure if anyone has the chance to witnessed it early in their career here or if this scam is still going on till this day. But I vividly remember that during those times there are a lot of bitcoin doubler than you can find and I fell victims to it.

Of course I was very gullible and I still very green that time. And I thought that I can make easy money but investing on this doubler. In the beginning they are really paying, so you will be entice to not withdraw the money but to roll it out. But before the second payment was to be made, the site suddenly went offline and then they say it's on maintenance. However, it was a exit already and after that it's gone and so I learn it the hard way that's why till now I can't forget that experience.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: November 04, 2023, 08:56:23 PM
The month of octobar remains positive mostly due to its previous month's usual negative price action. The month of november can be positive or negative but from december to march before the year of bitcoin halving, the bitcoin market shows a correction to liquidate long and short positions is mass before the bull starts its rally. This is historically accurate but this time it can be different though i think history will repeat itself this time too. I don't think the bitcoin price will exceed 40k this year nor will it go down to the $28k level.

Ser, it was what they say as the month of UPtober. But for the month of November, I believe there was a Bitcoin price monthly table that was posted in one of the topics that illustrates that November = MOONvember.

Cool

Plus I agree that there's some probability that Bitcoin crashes before it surges after the halving, BUT that would be caused by something very unexpected. A Black Swan, and there's no point in trying to know because actually knowing before it happened would make it not a Black Swan.

Yes sir, it will take another black swan event like the Terra Luna or FTX collapse to bring the market down. However, I think we have pass that stage already, not seeing any black swan events that will dampen the market again just like what happen last year wherein there's string of bad luck in the market. Or shall we say that how the market reacts after a bull run, from all time high of $69k->$15,500 lowest low.

So why not? October still proves that it is will continue one of the best months for Bitcoin and it really did. And from the last lowest low, we are now 100%++, so that is already a big accomplishment for us. But it's not done yet, pre-halving we might be looking at around $41k-$45k price range.

With that, next 2 months will still be as exciting year ender for everyone.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 04, 2023, 08:16:40 PM
I don't know though, but it seems that there are no trash talking so far leading up to the fight. On the contrary, even Benavidez Sr is giving all praises to Demetrius Andrade as one if not the best fighter that his son is going to praise. A Olympian and held belts in 154 lbs and 160 lbs.

It's respect, the Benavidez knows that it's not going to be easy for them to win against Andrade. We might not like the resume of Andrade because he really hasn't face a name fighter during this prime years, however, who can't blame those boxers for not wanting to go after him? He is a smart fighter and that southpaw stance of him and his boxing IQ made it very difficult to beat him. And David take it as a challenge to be the first one since the Olympics to beat Andrade.

I think the target though of the Benavidez is Canelo Alvarez. But we will see, hopefully if they win here, Canelo might give him the title shot that they wanted for so long as it seems that Canelo is avoiding them and just hiding on the reasons of Alvarez doesn't want to fight another Mexican.

That is the bigger fish right there. Canelo Alvarez, and just like Manny Pacman during his prime years, everyone wanted to fight Canelo because of the huge paycheck that they will get and besides, have the entitlement to be the one who beat Canelo. I don't think that Alvarez can hide on the reason. Sooner or later fans are going to clamour for that fight and he should give us the fights that we wanted to see from him.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 04, 2023, 08:01:59 PM
I don't use these casinos, I don't think that it's a "trend." Maybe it is a trend among poor people from third world countries, but the rest of the world plays live blackjack, not some simulation on telegram.

That is the keyword there, it's just a trend and hype and we all know that sooner or later it will die down. Gamblers still prefer the feel of getting into a land based casinos, and as far as I understand, they kind of telegram bots games are very simply. Maybe in the beginning, everyone is going to enjoy it, but we need games that is really exciting and that will bring entertainment to us and I do not see this telegram bots giving us that adrenaline rush.

Well, I don't know about other people, or what they think, but for me, what ever has to do with telegram is something that must be given much carefulness, and this is because telegram is a known den for scammers, so for me, I don now trust or engage in services on telegram, most especially when it involves me depositing my hard earned money.

Another given fact, but I guess this telegram bots wanted to gain reputation first, so maybe they are not that rigged or provably fair in the eyes of the gamblers. So right now there could be some trying to get their hands on this games. But for me, as far as my gaming experience goes, I will it to be more entertaining and not boring. And this what separates telegram bots to online crypto based games as the feel and ambiance is very different.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if bitcoin becomes inferior on: November 04, 2023, 07:50:29 PM
I looked for traces of Satoshi on the Internet. I've read all of his posts since 2009. He is sublime. If you read his writing, you can feel his passion. I have a little bit of bitcoin. I'm pretty relieved just to have Bitcoin. But if you look back at history.. Yahoo lost to Google. Yahoo was great, but Google was even better. Satoshi gave us a gift called Bitcoin without any greed and went somewhere. The problem is, new geniuses are born all the time, and technology advances. Bitcoin is not physics. It's blockchain technology. Which means that bitcoin is not an immutable law. A better technology than Bitcoin could emerge. What should we do if someone gives us a better system than bitcoin as a gift and leaves? It performs better than Bitcoin, and it even has the perfect decentralization of Bitcoin, which we value highly. Bitcoin was created in 2009, and now it's 2023. Cars made in 2009 cannot be better than cars made in 2023 or later. What if someone with as much genius and passion as Satoshi is creating a system better than Bitcoin?

Of course that is the nature of technology, some of them come and go. But so far with all the thousands of altcoins that have existed, no one can still topple Bitcoin. And maybe Satoshi was really a genius. I mean him disappearing really put his "Project" into like an enigma that up to this day, it is still the number 1 crypto and not even anyone can get close to it.

Actually there was an attempt before, and it was called "The Flippening", wherein Ethereum supposedly overtaking Bitcoin, but they failed.

And then "The Rippening", Ripple as well, but then again, their attempts met similar faith as Bitcoin didn't moved.

So still depends on Bitcoin enthusiast to make it and continue to be the dominant coin and so far all signs pointed that Bitcoin community is very strong till the next the decade.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2023, 12:40:10 PM
What's scary about the Nets is that there is no clear franchise player for them right now. So everyone wanted to prove something in this game and so they played like there is no tomorrow and regardless who they are facing next, it will be a very dangerous team.

That makes the Nets really unpredictable because it's hard to know who will make a big impact in the game. Unlike other teams with clear superstars, the opponents can usually predict who will lead the team.

What's interesting about the Nets is that everyone on the team is ready to contribute. Their last 3 wins on the road were very impressive, but they need to win at home. However, facing the Celtics might not be easy because Boston is very confident right now. But it's worth a try; an upset is possible for sure. So, I'd like to bet a small amount on the Nets' moneyline since they're on a winning streak.

Yep, and if you look at the scoring loads in their last win, everyone put some something, 5 points or more and then they are players that will go on a certain quarter and others will take over the next. And I think this might be the first case wherein it's inconsistent, I mean as we have discussed there is no leader, but everyone is ready to contribute, whether scoring or rebounds or assists. Like for Ben Simmons, almost a triple double.

They are a huge underdog against the Celtics though, but whatever, maybe it's good to throw some money on them ML or even the handicap at +9.5 as they might gave the lead leading Celtics a very close and tight game.
529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost of my capital has made me to have a change of mind about Bitcoin . on: November 03, 2023, 08:31:35 PM

Greetings to everyone, please i am new in this forum and I was directed by my friend to join the forum to get information and answers that I need to know about Bitcoin.
The challenge started when a friend introduced  cryptocurrency to me and I picked interest about it ,I  started making some researches on how to trade and invest in Bitcoin ,I downloaded candle stick bible as directed by my friend so I can have a good knowledge on how to understand the reasons for the formation of each of those candles  And the reasons for their existence,
I went through those stress to also learn how to analyze and also to know bullish and bearish moves ,to know when the market is trending and choppy but after all these processes and following those strategies I will still loose my capital . However, my question here is ' what is the best strategy to trade without losing my initial capital ?.
Please friends I need advice and answers to this question because I know we have crypto experts here in the forum who will assist me and also educate me on what I need to know about Bitcoin trading .Thanks .

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your capital trading bitcoin, I mean you should have known that there are a big risk in trading and I will say that it is not for everyone. Obviously, it seems that you still lack the experience even if you says that you have gone a lot to learn and analyze.

There is a dedicated thread here, Trading Discussion, maybe that is where the best place that you can start.

Or if you doesn't want to complicate things on your end to become a trader, maybe what you can do is just simply buy and hold for a long term. So just think about it, at least there is an option for you and you won't go and be stress like every day trying to squeeze and make some profits every day trading.
530  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 03, 2023, 08:15:39 PM
Went with "Bull market" because the signs are present more and more with each day passing and at this rate , we could see Bitcoin price soaring towards 38-39k by the end of the year but for November I do see Bitcoin price swing around 35k for the entire month and I don't see it dropping back under 32k  Cool

Yeah, same here, I think with the mentally of the investors last month seems to be very bullish, I think it will carry over to this month and I'm not seeing the price going below $30k till the end of the year. On the contrary, $35k-$38k might be base line or even higher this November.

And with the Spot Bitcoin ETF still in the minds of investors, I wouldn't be surprised that any news that goes will it will bring positive effects to that market. Whether another ticker will be displayed or just any statement for those who applied and everyone interpret it as a sign that it will be approved sooner that later, then the market will go on another spike for this month.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 03, 2023, 08:00:18 PM

Fight is getting closer as well, everyone should be excited to see this second week of November. The odds hasn't change a bit, Shakur is still the favorite and I don't think we are going to see some swings as the fight goes closer.

No, there won't be any changes in the odds because it's not a team game. If one boxer is injured, the fight will either be postponed or, in the worst case, canceled. As expected, Stevenson is listed as the heavy favorite with only 1.08 odds. It may not be very attractive, but if you look at the bright side, it's almost like guaranteed money in this fight.

Currently, the odds are as follows:

Stevenson 1.08
De Los Santos 6.80

Over 10.5 rounds 1.22
Under 10.5 rounds 3.85

Under 10.5 rounds is very attractive odds indeed, but it's a long shot as it seems that Delos Santos is going to be a tough customer for Stevenson. There is no decision win by Shakur though, I was wondering why casinos are not yet listed that, at least on the favorite casinos that I'm betting.

So I might want to wait for that, if the odds will be like 1.8x something, maybe I will go with that one.

Obviously, ML is not worth it, Or for those who wanted to think that there will be an upset, then everything on Delos Santos will be good. Or at least throw some money on him just for sake of that good odds for him to win.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conclusion after losing millions! that games are rigged. on: November 03, 2023, 07:49:49 PM
Well everyone is going to take if a casino is rigged or not, regardless of what the amount is, if my experienced. And the casino has one answer only, how about those who are winning on the other hand?

And there are ways to check whether casinos are rigged though or if they are provably fair and I think everyone should do that instead of accusing some casinos.

I'm not defending them, it's that as gamblers we always find someone to blame for our losses, but if you look closely, it is us gamblers who take that risk and betting $10 to $1 million and if it doesn't go our way, then we say that we are being cheated.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2023, 01:59:52 PM
The Pelicans once again are playing strong especially if they are complete. But while the season just started, Zion was rested against the Pistons today. So it seems like there is something wrong with his physical condition once again. It will be very sad if he suffers another season-ending injury. And this season starts Zion's nearly $200 million 5-year contract.

Yeah, the regular season has just started, but Zion is already missing games to rest. It's weird, but it looks like the Pelicans medical staff has some valid concerns about his physical condition. I guess the problem is with his knees again, and the Pelicans need to do something with Zion's injury predisposition, otherwise this will go on "indefinitely" since the main reason for that is because he's overweight.

That will be too bad though if Zion will again miss any games because of his injuries. We thought that he is already healed as it almost took a season for him to rest and rehab that injury. However, despite his best effort to trim down his weight and build some muscles, his body still have a hard time from the pounding that he is putting so that is going to be a big concern on the team again whether he can go this grueling season and not getting injured and could be resting in some games.

I don't know, maybe we are going to see him being traded if he is not going to be fully healthy and don't contribute to the team. Their medical staff really need to work very hard for Zion, but if everything doesn't goes well, then I wouldn't be surprised if the management will have to think their options on him.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 02, 2023, 08:10:08 PM
I don't follow boxing as much as I use to when I was younger. I really miss the days of the big time legendary heavyweights such as Tyson, Holyfield, Lennox Lewis etc.  Today it seems like the guy, or heavyweight that I see the name most often pop up is Fury. Has he been the best heavyweight for some time?  Is there anyone else coming up to challenge him?

I wanting to start to learn more about boxing so I can start placing some bets on the matches.

There's Usyk, a Ukrainian Jr HW but has unified some belts in the heavyweight as well. It's why the most awaited fight in history is Fury and Usyk but this is very uncertain yet. They were scheduled to fight this Dec 23 but once again moved. Before this, they were supposed to fight last year as well.  Either Arum or the two are just not meeting in the middle with how much is each cut.

The deal has been signed as far as know that's why there are a date already. But since Fury is battered and bruised and you can see that after that fight he has a black eye, they might not meet at the December 23 date as Fury as per medical advise needs to take a rest and again, this is mandatory to all boxers as there will be medical being taken after a fight and doctors might advise them to recover first.

Now they bring Ngannou on the stage, I guess all eyes are on him and Ngannou grabs the camera to himself and wants to fight every HW that agrees. I think he is fighting Anthony Joshua or Doentay Wilder this Dec. 23. They couldn't pick a better day to surprise us all for, everyone wants to spend this very holiday.

We will see what the future holds for Francis, AJ and Wilder too has it's own fight as well. So Francis will have to wait for this heavyweight, the top tier before he can fight. He will not run short of good opponents in this division though. He could even fight Zhang if he wanted to.
535  Economy / Gambling / Re: Baccarat.beehiiv.com | Social baccarat, 0.0003BTC every 15th subscriber! on: November 02, 2023, 07:28:45 PM
OP Is it a joke or something that I must enter my email before accessing your website? I was wondering about it because the thought that came to mind was that of email scouting websites that gather email for their own purpose. At least, there should be other options that one can access on your website for easy perusal, because with such features alone, nobody would be near your website to talk of inputting their email address for anything when they could not see anything worth it on the website. Here, first impression matters a lot, as members take cognizance of such, so you should see to it by working on such features on your website.

It is nice having you here, mate.

Hi cryptsafe,

as I explained to ryzaadit;

Hi ryzaadit,

Currently it is just a daily email where I play one hand of baccarat everyday. The daily email comes with a poll attached where you can try to predict who will win the next hand (Player, Banker or tie). You can see a test email on https://baccarat.beehiiv.com/p/baccarat. My subscribers that predict the hand correctly get rewards and get a higher chance of winning giveaways in the future. We are also in the middle of creating social media groupchats for the community. I didn't expect this to take of so quickly so please bare with me Smiley

The email is the product. My goal is to create a community that, like myself, really enjoy gambling. The email is currently only to get input. Yes, I intend to monetize by advertising in the future for selfish reasons (got to pay rent someway hehehe)  but mainly because I think this will greatly benefit the community.

Do you think members here are easily moved by those gimmicks. How can you tell me that you are compiling people's email addresses for your own selfish interest to monetise them in the future. Of which benefits do you think it would be to the masses here.  I would like you to mention the benefits attached to the collection of emails from members rather than sending phishing links to email addresses. Can you clarify things so we could get it clear.

Fortunately, he tries to be honest with us. Unfortunately, this community does not condone this kind of marketing trick, I mean he wanted to collect emails here and then uses it later for his promotion or for whatever purposes it might serve him in the future.

And with that, I don't think he can gain traction here from the community. There are a lot of baccarat players here, but they would rather play on platform, that is reputable instead of this kind of set up and make money.

Not saying that the OP is not trusted, but we can smell from a far what he wanted to accomplished here and it doesn't sound good to the gamblers here.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 08:28:15 PM
But seriously, what's up with Wemby? This 7'4 giant can't even grab 10 rebounds per game and it's driving me crazy. My player props parlay is always going down the drain because of him! 😂😂

I think Victor needs a little more time to adapt. By the way, he averages 16.3 points per game and grabs an average of 7.5 rebounds. I think that's pretty good stats for a rookie. The only thing I would point out is that he shoots a lot of three-pointers with a relatively poor field goal percentage(26.3%). It looks like his desire to shoot the ball overrides his desire to fight for the ball in the paint. It's understandable because the likelihood of him getting injured is pretty high if he struggles in the paint.

I think he has adapted already, it's that the Spurs have a lot of good core and young players and we can't say that Wemby is their main man, after all he is still a rookie and perhaps the same concern as we have right now, he needs to be very careful to not get injured that's why the Spurs are just managing his time in the right now and that's why he hasn't got more rebounds every game.

But he will be good though, they just got their W against Kevin Durant and the Suns. There were moments that the two are guarding each other. And what a comeback win for the young Spurs and it was shocking to see how the Suns melts down in this game.
537  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: November 01, 2023, 08:12:06 PM
Yes, 35k is expensive to buy, because it has already dropped to 34k as I type. The bitcoin price has dwell so long in the range of 20k such that the 20k to 25k range is now seen as the average normal price of bitcoin. Reaching 30k is already a high price and 4k ontop of the 30k is high if only you are a short term investor.

On the second thought, 35k is a very good entry price if you are a long term investor or if you are investing with the bull run in mind. So, a short term investor buying at 35k is taking a huge risk because the price might plunge back while a long term investor would have nothing to bother.

If you are indeed a long-term investor, the 35k price tag is not expensive. That is, we are aiming for more than 35k before we sell.
And which translates that if we will buy now, it is still a good opportunity before we see this slowly rising.
As an investor, you need to know your financial capabilities first before buying more, because you may be compromised if you need the funds.
So the decision whether to buy at this price level depends on the user himself, after he assessed his financial conditions.

It's really hard to see what the future holds though, and we always wanted to buy low. But with that, if we are willing to take that risk then why not? $35k will be a small price after all specially if in the next bull run the price will go as high as $100k. Definitely in any kind of investment there are risk and rewards and we have to assessed if we can take that risk without any financial damage to us.

I mean we can invest at the same time we can still live normal, have a job, put food in the table for our family and just let our money sit in our wallet and wait for it to grow in the next 2 years. Meaning just invest what we can afford to lose, that's it. No matter what is our buying entry, we should be good with that kind of preparation and mental attitude.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2023, 07:37:45 AM
Klay Thompson in the first half and then Steph Curry found his hot hand in the 4th quarter to give the Warriors another W.
Almost everyone is hitting their threes and that includes Gary Payton who will all know has been bad at shooting distance shots. Their 3rd quarter was a bad one and that made the Rockets come back to take the lead.
But the key to winning is for Steph to get his rhythm and he did at the crucial point of the game. 3 consecutive threes and he added more in the final minutes to put a dagger in the game. Draymond is back and I think the player rotation got messed up so Steve Kerr would need to find a way to fix that.

Yes, but it was not an easy game for the Warriors though, they really have to dig deeper again with Steph Curry outside shooting came back just in time in fourth quarter to salvage another win. The Houston Rockets keeps coming back from double digit lead against the Warriors and even took a good lead and I thought that it's going to be a disaster for them.

But as you have said, Curry caught fire and it's very crucial that he hit those 3's to stop the Rockets on their track and then build a solid double digit advantage that they didn't get up easily to secure another of their signature close W.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 30, 2023, 06:11:07 AM
The result of this fight should be similar to Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman, where Manny Pacquiao knocked down Keith Thurman in the 1st round. Fury did well in most of the other rounds, but knocking down Fury in the 3rd round must be considered the deciding moment, as Fury has never inflicted that much damage on Francis.

Certainly there will be a rematch and hopefully with 12 rounds and fight for a belt.

I don't think we can compare to Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman fight though. Both are boxers, Manny is old and Keith Thurman is still at this prime during that time. But Manny did surprised us by knocking down the young Thurman and then winning on the judges card.

Here, Fury was the biggest favorite, and If I'm not mistaken, Ngannou is like 8:1 or 7:1 underdog. What surprises us here is that Francis looks good at boxing as we all know that he comes from the MMA background.

As for the immediate rematch, there's none. Of course we wanted to see it again, but Fury confirmed that there's no rematch clause and that he will go to Usyk as they have sign the contract already.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 05:18:32 AM
Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.

I don't know if there will be a limiting age for gamblers. I mean if they can still play in a casino and enjoy the rest of their life then why not? I have seen old people, with oxygen and in the wheel chair still playing slot games with their love ones or paid nurses and assistants to help them push the button or put the money on the machine itself.

So there's no age limit, and most likely they have build so much money when they are still in their primes and most likely wanted to spend some of it while they are still alive and enjoy and be entertained.
