For Bron, he's not getting younger anymore and other players couldn't really on him anymore they have to assist them with his leadership, I guess that's what they're banking on. And it's likely that Bron won't retire even if many are telling him he's already aged because he said he wants to play with his two sons in the official season/league. Definitely LeBron won't retire until he sees his 2 sons in the NBA. Bronny just turned 18 and Bryce is 15, LeBron could stay in the league until his 41 or 42. I tried to research it but there is still no official report yet concerning Anthony Davis's injury. It is just a hint from Brian Windhorst. Will keep a positive outlook until the official reports come in. But if Davis is really out longer than one month, that will really hurt the Lakers' chance to even get illegible for the play-in. The surge of win they had lately was on the back of a great performance coming from Anthony Davis. It will be hard to fill that up with the roster the Lakers have right now. The Lakers' upcoming schedule will be pretty tight, considering they will play 6 games until the end of December. ^^ I speculate that they could have been a rivalry between the two, Usyk is just one weight class above Beterviev and possible that they could be talks for them to fight. But we all know that Usyk when as high as HW win the belts against AJ and the rest is history.

I don't know if their decision to cancel the tune-up fight will help Ryan Garcia's situation or not, it would be a good chance for him to prepare against his fight with Davis because this Gesta is also touted to be like Davis too, but less risky because the latter's career is already going down. Nonetheless, there's a particular reason why they didn't push through the tune-up fight.

I think the big story from the last Lakers game is LeBron scoring over 30 for his 3rd straight game. The first old guy to do that since Michael Jordan twenty years ago. Westbrook played great also though. It's almost like the Lakers are starting to get it together and might find themselves in the postseason this year.
And with that 30 points production from LeBron James last night's win against the Denver Nuggets, he's now 765 points short of passing Kareem Abdul Jabar on being the top NBA All-Time scoring leader. Not a big deal for others especially for his critics but that is something difficult to achieve even with an intentional stat-padding on every game. Also agree that they are now starting getting a in good rhythm unlike during their early games that they can really be considered as a flop team. That win last night without Anthony Davis is something of good progress and development on the team as they lose a player with an average of 30 PPG there but they were able to fill that gap against a good team. If they will continue on that good progress, they will soon be able to climb the standing. Yes, and there are a lot of players who step up in this game, Bryant is worth nothing though, with 21 big points and this is against the reigning MVP Jokic that somewhat offset the scoring that AD could have in this game, although before getting injured he has 10 point already. Austin Reaves, Schröder and Russell Westbrook all played 30 minutes plus and they also have a good contribution. So it's a well balance attack against one of the best team in Nuggets. That's a huge win by the Lakers, after losing some games, hopefully they will be fully back on track. With Davis and Lebron staying healthy, there's really a huge potential that they'll reach in the playoffs, and although I think they will not be as dominant when they won the championship, but this team is still a scary team. By the way, finally Suns were able to avenge their losses in a come back win, also, in the last seconds, Booker still shoot the ball showing he didn't respect the Pelicans. I think you may have missed the game because AD goes down injured in their games against the Nuggets. So it's only Lebron who try to glued the team together playing as if he is still not in his age right now. Couple of dunks and penetration. Hard to see them still in the playoff even with AD healthy, teams in the West are very competitive. They are still in the 12th position. |

Reading your comments here raised my eyebrows. So this fight is not yet signed? I thought everything is 100% official. I don't like both fighters but earlier I was leaning towards Plant because of the incident that happened years ago where Jose Benavidez tried to harass Plant while training. I honestly believe Plant could've easily knocked the guy out pretty easily but Jose was accompanied by some people including his brother David, so Plant was put in an odd situation. But I hate Plant for demanding the brand of gloves and even wanting to be announced last when he is actually the challenger since David is the interim champ. I can understand though that Plant wanted a bigger ring size.
Seems to be that is the case, maybe what Plant did is agreed verbally to the Benavidez camp thru social media. But it's different when they have to go to a negotiation because each party would have to lay down all the demands. Bigger ring means he can go and circle and try to avoid that power punch of David. ESPN having a good doubleheader on the air tonight. First up the Golden State Warriors vs the Philadelphia 76ers then the Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets. With no Steph I think the 76ers might be able to pull out a victory over the defending champs. The Lakers might struggle a bit playing against the Nuggets. Denver is just stacked these days. Lakers will need a good game out of LeBron and AD to get a W tonight.
True, the Nuggets are in a 3 game winning form right now. Jamal Murray is really back and we have seen him tearing the NBA right now. And so Jokic is being relieved offensively and can focus on his passing. For the Lakers this is a home game for them, their stat is not impressive at their own floor. In order to win against the Nuggets, Lebron and AD, specially AD should need to have a monster game and then the rest of the unit should contribute as well. |
