https://blockchain.info/address/1B2pGNTiES3V27cGBm6vu1rA15z5APxumuThe current prize pool is $141.52. Besides having the ability to enter free to win 10% of this giveaway, one could win the entire amount via paying a Satoshie (same as satoshi) Bitfie entry fee. ~TMI BTCITW PS: A little history about Bitfie. Bitfie was coined shortly after Oxford, in its infinite wisdom, opted to make "selfie" their word of the year, knocking Bitcoin, which was one of the final three up for consideration, from gaining that title. "Bitfie" (with quotes) is now number one and two, among a couple others, on the first page of Google search results, thanks chiefly to this thread and the four domains I registered.

Damn, I forgot to thank freequant for reminding me/us that the 22nd was the 2nd anniversary of Bitcoin 100.
It's way over due, but I wish now to thank all those early donors, as well as the ones that came later, for they generosity. Without them, none of what Bitcoin 100 has accomplished would have been possible.

Of course any company that services US citizens by providing money services must be registered with the US Treasury Department and with some specific States depending on their specific rules. There is no entity with the name (or "doing business as" name) of "paymium" listed as being registered to offer money services to US citizens. Actually, no. US laws do not apply in most of the world, you know ? - Because it doesn't have to. - The official court of law is (probably - I didn't check) "Tribunal de Commerce de Paris - 1 quai de Corse - 75001 PARIS - France". A french lawyer might be useful. Disclaimer : I don't have anything to do with Bitcoin Central - I am just one of their customers. If you provide financial services to US citizens of course you are required to comply with US laws. Otherwise you see a whole bunch of exchanges servicing US customers. Let me guess. Mt Gox no longer serves US customers because Mark K. doesn't like baseball, hot dogs, or apple pie. Hope I helped drive the post I quoted closer to home with my bunt. BTW, who's pitching? I'll break your nose if you say Who's...

I am in for 1BTC per charity. I pledge an additional 100 BTC to the Red Cross and Unicef whenever they get onboard.
Today is the 2nd anniversary of my initial pledge. To date, neither Red Cross or Unicef have come on board. In the meantime, Bitcoin has raised 300 folds, making the terms of my initial pledge borderline unsustainable. On the occasion of this second anniversary, I have decided to review the terms of my pledge to match better my donation target in dollar terms, while keeping the initial spirit of the pledge. The new terms of my pledge, effective immediately, and valid until 23 Nov. 2015 are now: 1 - 10k USD equivalent in BTC (regardless of the BTC/USD exchange rate) for Red Cross whenever they join. 2 - 10k USD equivalent In BTC (regardless of the BTC/USD exchange rate) for Unicef whenever they join. 3 - 100 USD equivalent In BTC / charity, up to 100 charities (max 10k USD in total). @Phinnaeus Gage, I don't really have the time to follow carefully this thread, and I don't know most of the charities, so I'd like to ask you if you don't mind to manage pledge (3) on my behalf, and to notify me if you hear about Red Cross or Unicef joining Bitcoin so that I can execute pledge (1) or (2). If you are ok, I'll send you a first installment of 5k USD for pledge (3), please convert it back to USD and use it 100 USD at a time for next 50 charities (please confirm the BTC address) and let me know once it's used up so that I can send you the second installment. Alternately, I can also send directly 5k USD to your Bitstamp account via Ripple (see: Deposit > Ripple > USD). Thank you so kindly, freequant, for your generous pledges. Here's to hoping that Red Cross and Unicef eventually join the ranks of those that accept Bitcoin donations via their respective websites. As far as for you wanting Bitcoin 100 to have on deposit $5K USD as per your instructions, Rassah will be the person that handles all the financial aspects, thus no need to send it via Ripple via Bitstamp (I, personally, and Bitcoin 100 use BitPay's services). Rassah will probably hash a separate wallet, along with tagging it accordingly for all to see, to pull from as endowments are allocated. If, by chance, you rather not have others know where (read what wallet) your $5K stemmed from, I'm sure Rassah may be able to cloak the transaction somewhat, but I'm not sure on that regard. Just thinking out loud, and wanting you to know that there's always the possibility of something not taken into consideration. I'll PM Rassah this post, whereupon he'll know what to do and contact you via a PM. Once the funds are settled, the "block chain" tx will be made available for all to see since we try to be 100% transparent. Since we are no longer endowing 100 BTC due to the exchange rate, opting for an exact $1,000 USD endowment from here on out since approximately the forth payout, Rassah will probably pull $900 USD of the current funds on hand and add a $100 USD from another dedicated wallet bearing your name or some other tag. It may be awhile before we ever have to request from you the other $5K pledge but, then again, stranger things have happened in the realm of Bitcoin, and Bitcoin 100 might be doling out $1K endowments like there's no tomorrow if NPOs start coming outta the woodwork. Again, thank you again, freequant, for your generosity. I only wish I had more adjectives (or is it adverbs ) in my vocabulary to express how I really feel. Bruno Kucinskas

Have you hit 2000 meals yet? I'm off to bed, but will push you to 2000 tomorrow if the deed isn't done
No, but I have a feeling it's in the pipeline. LIB! We where just talking about you. Jason King will be so proud, and will also thank you, cooldgamer, for helping Sean's Outpost meet this milestone. Well played! 2,000

The article claims it's BitStamp, but I know of a transaction that's only one hop away from it being CoinBase.

I have like.. multiple dreams that come back, sometimes the next night, or even a year later.
For example, I have an on-going dream that I'm in High School and I can't ever seem to get out no matter how hard I try.
This dream "continues" where it last left off, sometimes for days in a row it will continue, but other times it may be a year or so before coming back.
I've noticed this in the past 5 years of my life.
Am I going crazy?
I've been having high school dreams since I left high school. Seriously!

Its really cool.. but but their simple process of adding cards can get abused easily. For example, if someone owns this onlycoin device and if by chance he got access to someone else's credit card, he just need to swap it and take some pictures to make a credit card clone.
I like it, but, what he said. I can see my gf doing this LOL Seriously CC companies make it so damn easy to use their cards (they really dont care...) Hell, daily I hand my card over to complete strangers that anyone of them could rape me of thousands, but I'm more apt to protect my bitcoin storage devices, namely my laptop from strangers. Although, while I was in Atlanta, the same laptop was stored where they stored the coke in the room adjacent to BitPays office during the meetup, then the next day was hidden(?) underneath the Bitcoin Magazine table during the duration of the Bitcoin conference, even when Jason, Rassah, I, et al. left by foot to eat lunch a few blocks away.

Those are fake breasts. Trust me! I've seen breasts, and those are fake. I went to a doctor once and we all know some doctors specialize in breasts, thus trust me when I say them are fake breasts. There's only two of them, but who's to say that somewhere down the road more won't be added? Notice how she keeps her breasts hidden. I've yet to find a image of her naked breasts, but even clothed, one can clearly see that they are fake. Trust me, for I have the highest post count on this forum and I'm... ~TMI BTCITW

Hello Bitfie community ! I am a Triskaidekaphile. While most people consider thirteen unlucky , the holy lord of 13s says other wise. I have sent a "unluck-but-actually-luckfie" ( 13c ) https://blockchain.info/tx/93aab05a8bf1923d7204bdd01c50f95a54a48bf24fed9aa95966bec093699c02The prophet of the thirteens, jambola2 (P.S : I may have a bit of bias , being born on the thirteenth of a month ) EDIT : What do I do with the huge transaction fees -.- You should request between 1$ and 10$ Addressing your EDIT first, apologies for the tx fees. By the nature of Bitfie, any amount over 99 US cents wouldn't be considered a Bitfie, thus requesting an entry fee between one and ten dollars wouldn't work. I do like your Luckfie suggestion, albeit it'll have to coined Luckie, sans the "f", for it to be dubbed correctly. The only reason selfie has an "f" in it's term is because the root word was "self" with an "ie" added. The term "Bitfie" was coined to be similar to "selfie", hence the use of the letter "f" in its naming. Apologies for any confusion. Lucky you, you coined the Bitfie "Luckie". I have sent 7c , the almost as luckie https://blockchain.info/tx/fe7b501bc5ba78a5dd8d919650a852cfc9bb7a9e14009c3de46a2c5d2d6a4996I have also sent you a contribution , that is not a Bitfie , but claims to be a bitfie , meet the Sexy Giftie ! ( 6.9 $ ) https://blockchain.info/tx/7954ebe783b06f9706d21083dbf3b363d303bf2832a32e7123e34d0b3f03a4fb Note : As multiple entries is not allowed , the 6.9$ is not a entry but a contribution and the 7c is made to finance the next person with over 100 posts and who is too cheap to pay 1 c EDIT: *jambola2 hides in the corner hoping his claiming of multiple names will not annoy Phin* ( *he wonders if he can call Phinnaeus , Phin* ) Firstly, thanks for all your kind suggestions and contributions to date, and I'll address the Luckie aspect first. Now, you have me confused. I tagges 13 cents as a Luckie based on your experience of the the number 13. Then you want to tagge 7 cents as a Luckie. Ideally, 13 cents should be an Un-luckie, whereas 7 cents is a Luckie. Again, the only reason I opted the first tagging was to honor your birth on the 13th. Perhaps if I gave you credit for the 7 cents Luckie coinage, then wait to see what you suggest for the 13 cents newly coin term, of which I'm leaning toward Un-luckie. I'll give you credit for the 6.9 cents term--Sexie-giftie (modified). You can call me Phinnaeus, Phinn, Phin, Bruno, whatever, as long as you refer to me as TMI BTCITW.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand this?
No Simply send between one satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) and $0.99 (99 US cents/penny), inclusive to 1B2pGNTiES3V27cGBm6vu1rA15z5APxumu to enter, along with posting the "block chain" tx and the word "Bitfie" somewhere in your post. Or enter free by posting the following: Bitfie
I'm not paying less than a penny to enter this stupid giveaway thingie because I'm a Bit-pinchie. One entry per user account, but feel free to enter again using another account you may have on this forum. No need to declare that you have done such. Those wanting a chance to win the entire pool if your post number of this thread is drawn, must have paid to entered. Those wanting to enter free for a chance to win 10% of the pool are able to via the way shown above via the code wrap text. You'll be able to change from a free entry to a paid entry anytime up to 24 hours prior to the drawing date by simply editing your post and giving a "block chain" tx link. Please accept my apologies if I somehow made this giveaway too complicated, for that truly wasn't my intent. Bruno Kucinskas Oh, it's not too complicated at all, I'm just not the brightest with these things untill they get explained to me =P. Also, is the $0.99 according to Mtgox price,Bitstamp, or? Good question! But, there's a simple and fair answer: It doesn't matter! I simply look at the "block chain" tx submitted and if looks close enough, the entry's golden. Just declare what you send and it should be fine. The only time I may look closer at a transaction is if a new Bitfie word is coined coinciding with some exact amount, but given the exchange rate fluctuating by the hour, it still may be off, hence resorting back to taking one word. The bottom line, this is the fairest, cheapest, seeded "lottery" (for lack of a better word) I know of currently running. https://blockchain.info/address/1B2pGNTiES3V27cGBm6vu1rA15z5APxumuThe current prize pool is $135.67.

Seeing that we only make fifteen cents an hour and can't afford a pack of cigarettes on own, anybody interested in a group buy?
<quick aside: upon googling the term "group buy" to see if it should include a hyphen, I learnt that this forum is listed in the number three position for said term>
What the heck? Can you explain in english? First off, ignore my tagged aside comment, only using the first sentence in the OP as an example as to what to post. Pretend you're in a prison with a total population of all bitcoiners. Now, pretend you overheard a conversation, something that only a Bitcoiner would say. Post said conversation. Allow me to offer up another example: How long you in for? Two...

Let's play 100 questions with it, trying to guess the serial number. No prizes awarded in this game but, if it goes well, I'll pen a thread offering up a real game with a real bill with a no less than $20 USD prize payable via Bitcoin.
First question: Is there a 3 in the serial number? (answer all questions with a yes or no ONLY)
