There are loads of glossaries you could use for these! 1. https://www.coingecko.com/en/glossary2. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/bitcoin-glossary3. https://www.whatisbitcoin.com/glossary4. https://developer.bitcoin.org/glossary.html (has a focus on technical stuff) Where do bitcoin transaction fee goes? They go to the miners Where do wrongly transferred bitcoin goes ? if mistakenly sent to a wrong address can it be recovered? If it lost does it add any value to bitcoin price? It goes to the address where you mistakenly sent it! it's not exactly "lost" as well as it has just moved to an address where you don't hold the private key hence is inaccessible to you. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible so it's up to the person on the other end whether they wanna give it back which in most cases, they don't. But fear not because prevention is better than cure.

Perhaps the page has loaded prematurely or something?
I have traveled to places with shit connection and sometimes, some pages do not load properly hence I would see some parts of the website break and I have to refresh -- I'm not primarily talking about bitcointalk but websites I've encountered in general.

The error mentioned has been resolved. Thank you for your attention.
Currently, our website defaults to English, with Russian as the second language.
I thought the same last night as I checked it before going to sleep however, I'm afraid the error has shown up again, same with RU being the default language. I added a gif.

You could also look through merchant directories such as: 1. cryptwerk.com 2. spendbitcoins.com [keep in mind that not everything listed will be legitimate, watch out for scams] or look into gift card providers instead, see list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208530.0

I kept getting the following error whenever I try to change the language to english, strange. Системная ошибка (код: anticsfr) I tried with a different browser, IPs, device and had the same error. On that note, I think it's a good idea to set the language to english by default since you're planning to cater globally.

I have posted this when they announced that they will stop operating. Based on their own statement; Why is localbitcoins terminating the service?
Localbitcoins trading volumes have been declining for a long time, and there is no big enough market demand for our services anymore. I believe this is the main culprit as well. Because had they been getting a good flow of trading volume, it's likely they'll be able to hold out during the crypto winter like other companies. It is not only LocalBitcoins, there are some P2P platforms closed their services too like Paxful, 2 months after LocalBitcoins. Paxful is shutting downYou must have missed that paxful came back! try accessing the website again

I can't speak for other people but I go on dex or pseudo-dex for the better security and privacy which most of these centralized exchanges won't be able to offer because they're fully custodial with KYC and AML polices which mind you, varies on extent as some may be relatively strict compared to others.
But honestly, as for swapping, I don't think it's necessarily a dex capability. I view it as an in general exchange thing.

If I understand correctly, op is selling clues for crypto recovery which is apparently from facebook ads? if so, that's effin scammy.

Definitely not! They're scammers. Freewallet left me with an extremely negative impression. After KYC, my account was locked for an incredibly long time and I didn't even get an adequate explanation of the reasons. Customer support was unhelpful and I almost gave up hope of getting my money back. If you value your finances and nerves, avoid Freewallet.
Sadly, this has been going on for years. Btw, you may wanna check @stafstor's thread who is actively fighting freewallet. Dear viewers! If there are any Freewallet scam victims, who lost their assets because of Freewallet administration illegal actions, we are ready to provide all neccessary legal help. Our lawyer will make a competent written or electronic statement to the police and other competent authorities. This will increase the likelihood of recovering stolen assets. We will also help you post your Freewallet scam review (if you want to make this case public) Email: freewallet-report@tutanota.comTelegram: https://t.me/+G8MpF2Y_tK81ZGRkIf you haven't gotten your money back, you might as well exhaust your options. Note: if you click the quote, you'll be redirected to the whole thread [of theirs].

Is this gonna be the next big exchange that will replace Binance as what Oleary claimed? What dyou think?
Don't think too much about it. It's not uncommon for new businesses to have inflated claims as an attempt to improve their image or for clout. Right now, there is nothing much to see to support such claim. They're not bringing anything new on the table nor doing aggressive promotions. I also noticed, they have a mandatory KYC which ask for a lot, see: https://explore.m2.com/guide/how-to-sign-up-for-a-personal-account- when you could find many exchanges with lighter requirements. I think we also have to aknowledge how having a NO mandatory kyc at the start gives a huge boost to new exchanges when it comes to building userbase.

Hello, did you find any fix?
I have the same problem with shoppy.gg, BTC transaction is stuck for days and they don't respond anything
they still don't answer..
Op's next post after what you quoted was them affiriming everything has been solved. Idk if it was through shoppy's help or the mempool just eased up though. as you may have noticed, these two posts had a 10 day gap. What about the suggestion/s mentioned before in this thread, have you tried them? particularly CFFP if you have the PK of the receiving address or viabtc if conditions are met.

Just some additional information. Sideshift.ai seems to have blocked users from certain Jurisdictions from accessing their website. Instead, one gets redirected to Sifi.org, which they claim to be their partner. Some on chain swap service of sorts. I don't know how reliable they are since I have never used them.
Where was your IP? I just tried with the most likely country to be redirected -- USA and I was right, I got redirected lol. I tried a couple of other countries and they worked fine -- NL, SG, JP, AUS, UK. It's interesting that I can't seem to access sideshift's terms or service page. Dropping it on urlscan.io returns an error as well. I wonder if they're in the middle of changing some stuff.

To look at it from another angle, cz may just be saying this to boost customer trust in Binance by claiming that they were able to intercept the stolen funds and recover nearly everything.
I find it funny how CZ wrote "Real Event" on his tweet. I can't speak for others but stuff like that has the opposite effect on me lol e.g. scammers writing no scam Also, am I the only one who can't find this sensational news on most popular crypto (or in general) news outlets? I just read this, wtf is going on in this world? It's a dark place we all living in.
I hate to make this worse for you but... you'll find more stories here, see: Known Physical Bitcoin Attacks -- and since this has an emphasis on bitcoin +the unreported cases, there are absolutely more than this list has.

Bump. There's a sad news in Roobet campaign where they shrink their participants from 36 users to 10 users, previously they removed 23 participants, so it means they've remove 49 users. Is Roobet lost their active gamblers? so they don't make a lot money than it was and resulting reduction in signature campaign? or they just want to try other marketing strategy? There's still a big traffic in their social medias and they still launch art contest for almost every month too. I'm leaning towards there's no problem at all. and indeed, perhaps they'll be exploring other areas of marketing as well. They have been running the campaign for a long time and have established a good standing hence it's not a long shot to think Roobet may have thought it's fine to ease up on signature campaign.

Count me in if I'm not too late 🫡 Bitcointalk Username: Potato Chips Blockparty Number: 50 Run 49 is over now. Again it was a strong bestshare, but again it was not strong enough to find a Block. Maybe it works in Run 50 as an appropriate ending for this raffle. Save the best for last, amirite?

Oh okay, just wanted to make sure this wasn't one of the blatant scam attempts. I'm more concerned if I could get my money back from FTX. Especially now that I see my money has randomly been moved.
I would also suggest confirming with the company -- where your coins were mistakenly sent if they have filed a claim, otherwise the chances are a bit...uhhhh. I'm also assuming they're willing to send your money back once they have it? Can't say anything about getting a full refund from FTX but the liquidation of assets have been handed to authorities/law firm so victims are likely to get some money back, just not sure on the exact percentage of course.
|
|
|
No, I couldn't unfortunately since I needed an FTX account it was the first step. A gambling casino owner sent my money to an FTX wallet and the company who owned this wallet said they highly doubted they could retrieve my money back since it was after the ftx collapse so they didn't try. The company also told me they were waiting months to receive their money back as well.
This sounds concerning, op. Could you elaborate your situation? and perhaps name the parties involved? So, they sent your money to a FTX account that is not yours, correct? what for? and how sure are you that they actually sent money there? In addition, if they did not submit their claims, I'm afraid they're waiting for nothing.

It happened again.
I visit the site, it whirrs for about 20 seconds, then give a 500 error. If I then try to reload it works fine.
It worked fine on my end as well -- firefox with vpn on Does the problem persist with a different browser, on a different device and/or internet connection? If you have a VPN enabled, playing with servers and disabling might help as well.
