621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW DO WE TRANSFER BITCOIN WEALTH TO HEIRS AND THE NEXT GENERATION on: August 11, 2023, 12:29:45 PM
This thought have been bothering me for a while and I feel we can discuss it here. Many people that are building their Bitcoin portfolio are doing it to also save for the coming generation. However, how this wealth will be transferred to the heirs and the next generation and how this wealth will be preserved without being lost or causing problems still remain unclear.

I understand for other tangible assets, a WILL can be written to be revealed when the time is right. But for Bitcoin, I don't know how this can be done as it may require revealing the secrete codes of the wallets or storage device. Is there any other way this can be done?

My thought was captured in my comment in this thread but I felt to raise a topic for most discussion. In case this topic have been discussed, I will be glad to be pointed to the thread.
New generation will probably waste the money buying cars and a lot of things instead of investing, if your going to put that in your last will if that is a large amount of bitcoin, there should be clause and a thing they need to accomplish before receiving it, you also have to find an attorney who is really trust worthy, in a safety deposit box perhaps they will only open it in a certain year like when they reach 38 or 40 years of age.
I believe that the goal of this bitcoin inheritance thing is to avoid the third party involvement like a lawyer, bitcoin has a trustless mechanism so no other party is required in doing the inheritance. At the end of the day it is still the decision of successor on what he/she will do about the bitcoin he recieve. For sure he will be forced to learn atleaat the basic of crypto for him/her to access the inheritance.

Transfer PayPal USD between PayPal and compatible external wallets
Send person-to-person payments using PYUSD
Fund purchases with PayPal USD by selecting it at checkout2
Convert any of PayPal's supported cryptocurrencies to and from PayPal USD

Source: https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2023-08-07-PayPal-Launches-U-S-Dollar-Stablecoin

Usdt then Pyusd to paypal usd and checkout na, no need na dumaan sa bank para magamit ito as a payment. Sana mag ka promo sila like less service fee and better convertion rate if gagamit ng stable coin nila.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 10, 2023, 06:02:54 PM

Dana is also behind the hype of this as he had been setting up the two yet he can't give a final date of when the battle will be.
But in an interview no one is ducking anyone and he got a point when he says the two are not professional fights for a living.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boRl-jOJ9IM&t=362s

I still think this is not happening because of Dana's response. If he had been talking to both of these billionaires and still are unsure of the dates then its the billionaires is the one playing Dana.
Yeah, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerburg are one of the most powerful people in our world right now and it is still their decision if they will get along with the hype of Dana created. Both of them are had their own footage of doing MMA trainings and both of them are trained or guided by professional MMA fighter. There's still a chance that they will both fight and honestly I'm rooting for them to fight. I'm speculating that if the fight happens, the losing player will either X(twitter) or facbook stocks will be affected by the outcome.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: August 10, 2023, 05:26:23 PM
Bank investors have more certainty because there capital is completely safe but they give 8-10% annual profits to the investors of per year. But it is comparatively less in terms of profits.

On the other hand you will get constant profits from crypto as if you are experienced in trading then daily profits is possible. Otherwise you can get profits by investing. However crypto investment puts your capital at greater risk (main point).
It is a subjected choice depending on what type of financial guy you are. Stable but less or higher reward but higher risk, it's your choice. Though I'm pretty sure that majority of us here would choose crypto investment, we are on a bitcoin forum aren't we? I also think that banks don't really give that much annual profit to their customers as in our country we can only recieve I think maximum 5% on physical banks. Both has risks but putting your money on crypto will grant you risks but yeah, I would personally put my money on crypto as I've been doing it for years. I'm just tired of the banks.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: August 10, 2023, 05:09:56 PM
~snip~
Treating gambling as an entertainment venue will lessen the chance of any big problem that may possible to happen if you go far and become addicted.

Just let it serve its purpose and enjoy, win or lose you satisfied yourself, unlike if you are treating
it as venue to earn money, you are being forced to keep continuing and pushing things even you
are already making bad decisions with your finances. You need to avoid that and keep always in
the driver's seat not to allow greed to dominate you.
Indeed, people should be able to treat gambling as entertainment and no longer regard gambling as a place to make money. Especially after they have suffered many losses every time they gamble and have spent much money too. If they realize that, they can avoid the big problem, gambling addiction because they play gambling only for fun. If they can get pleasure from other things, their desire to gamble will probably decrease, so that will reduce the money used for gambling as well.

At least we can do this and not follow people in gambling so that we are still within reasonable limits of using gambling as entertainment. By limiting that, we can limit the greed that will come as soon as possible to keep tempting us to keep playing. But with these restrictions, we will not be tempted to continue gambling.

yes, I think the main problem is avoiding to see reality as it is
many people approach gambling as a way to make easy money or relying on it as income when in reality it should be entertainment.

if it's too hard for someone to stop gambling they should seek help.
We can't blame them as majority of the people has an exactly the same thoughts about gambling. They see it as an easy way to earn profit but didn't realize the risk of what they are doing. Even normal people thinks gambling s an easy money but someone them knows the risk that's why not everyone is a gambler. Being addicted to gambling has so many various reasons but I personally think that the reason of them becoming addicted to gambling is their desire to win and to take home a large amount of money. The fact is not everyone is treating gambling as an entertainment, I myself consider it as an money machine when the time I am still addicted to gambling.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal launches an Ethereum-based Stablecoin! on: August 09, 2023, 07:30:09 PM
I can imagine so many cons about paypal knowing their platform is very very centralized but I can't deny how can the pros will help the whole crypto along with the potential of new crypto users because of the paypal influence. It's ethereum base so should we expect a high gas fee on every transaction. It will be bad if potential customer suffer from high gas fee as I can see this as a niche platform  for transaction payments.
627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~If you must trade~ on: August 09, 2023, 04:33:26 PM
I was having this strong contemplation, between emotion and patience which factor affects traders the most. I know we have other factors that can make a trader experience huge losses such as FUD, greed, lack of contentment, indiscipline and high expectations and over zealousness.

But I had to narrow my scope to just the emotional and patient factors. I am sure many traders can relate better with this two factors compared to the rest this lead me to seek the answer from traders and prospective traders which do you think should be handled with more caution and between the two which has higher chances of helping a trader have at least 70% of total control of their profit cycle.
It all depends on the knowledge we have in trading and what we can do with it. There are people that have such a great knowledge in trading but are still scared to trade because of emotion which is the killer of all trading ability.
There are some newbies that are still having this challenge in there trading career and one of the ways to get things done is for us to make sure that we don't spend much time demo trading because this is one of the areas we can become a weak trader that will not be able to go alive with the ability to trade with risk of earning frim the market.
The crypt market is volatile and the only way we can trade successfully and earn from the market is to trade with confidence of using our strategies to earn from the market.
Well yes, there are traders who know what to do in an exact situation but still fails to do the right thing because their emotion ruins it. Losing your patience is a part of your emotion that is ruined by the situation, not controlling your emotion will result in having no patience at all. Even experience traders suffers from having bad trading moves because of the emotion they currently have. I admit it myself, I trade for years now but sometimes my original plan is being changed because of somekind of fear that I might lose on a trade. Maybe it's my gut but yeah, sometimes emotions ruins our trading plan.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 09, 2023, 04:02:23 PM
Gambling is not a man thing. The world has made it look like a guy thing but it is not. Why there are more men opened about their gambling activities than women is because there is more at stake societally and biologically for a woman who is gambling than a man. Imagine if the woman is a mother and falls into gambling addiction, it will be destructive for both her and her kids. And this is why some women are hiding their addiction because of what the society would think of them. I would say that there are more women who are suffering from gambling addiction than male. The reason why we don't know this is because they are afraid to speak up and seek for help.
The world changing in the modern digital age, we just have to do what makes it right to he in the better place. Gambling belong to all gender, there's no need to stigmatized the female gender from gambling. Afterall, they equally watched games and  have full knowledge on how to place bets on their favorite teams. We have responsibilities, to take care of them, we need to stand firm and monitor our streams of income. If possible, we string more sources, intact any thing that can generate profits would be fully concentrated on without hindrance.
So amid today's modern digital era, gambling is no longer a guy thing but has turned into all things for men and women so that anyone can gamble easily, especially now that there is an internet that can be accessed by anyone easily. However, women may still hide their gambling activities in several places because of social judgment or rejection from some communities if they know that some women gamble in their environment. Society may still not be able to accept it when they see women gambling in front of them. But when no one knows about it, maybe women will gamble at ease because it's what they need. And it could be that some women have experienced gambling addiction, but they can keep it well from the people around them so that the public will not know it.
I agree to you. I personally know a woman who is much more addicted than me before when I was an addict. Imagine that our she stay long more than me on our gambling sessions and up to this date, As far as I know she still takes gambling as her main thing. Men and women can hide something without the public knowing and I personally believe that there are so many women gamblers out there that don't want to expose their addiction to gambling because of the public judgement (depending on the social class and the environment she is having). It's just that history or the old media shows the stereotype that men are more active in gambling.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 09, 2023, 03:31:22 PM
I watched some of the fight and then watched the highlights of the fights the next day.  I am once again annoyed that someone didn't know the f out of Jake Paul ( I would prefer him and his douche of a brother both get knocked out every fight they take), but of course he wasn't fighting a boxer per usual.

When are these dudes going to fight legitimate pro boxers their own age??
These brothers portray as an underdog villain influencers which aims to climb the main stage by fighting well known fighters that they know they have a chance on winning like Anderson Silva and now Nate Diaz. The boxing match is an advantage to Jake Paul given that it is the sports that he is mainly training. We can see how Nate Diaz tries to do a guilotine to Jake Paul, if it's an MMA UFC fight, we know who will win that for sure but as a we the current standing of Jake Paul, we can see that he is capable of defeating MMA legends on boxing.
630  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang gagawin mo? on: August 08, 2023, 02:33:36 PM

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5462454.new#new

631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Layerzero, Zksync airdrop hype over, is it next Zetachain ? on: August 08, 2023, 02:01:09 PM
Most of the airdrops today like LayerZero is just pure speculations. The project never dictates anything about an airdrop but people are risking their money just to try in becoming part of the speculated airdrop. Well most of the airdrop today are speculated and those airdrops has a successful lunches. I myself is also trying to join these airdrops but I mainly trying to interract with the community favorites like Layerzero. The only thing that you will spend is gas fees from those airdrops, sometimes minting an NFT and staking. I don't have much information on hidden projects that has a potential airdrop but I'm trying to continue interracting to those highly anticipated project.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 08, 2023, 01:48:00 PM
To be honest, I never experience being pressures on doing gambling because of the success story of others, seeing people flexing their wins doesn't really move me like I don't care on how big they win. The only time I'm pressures on gambling is when I'm at a tournament which I'm really trying to win. The pressure is real especially if you are near from the spot of winning. I'm just somehow jealous on people who became successful on investments or trading but I never became jealous on gamblers.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: August 08, 2023, 01:21:46 PM
We know there are not many winners when it comes to gambling but the few which can do something like this warn against drinking alcohol when you are at the casino, after all if your purpose is to become a profitable gambler then you need to treat gambling as any other business or occupation, would you get drunk before performing a surgery if you were a doctor? Of course not, so why gambling should be any different? Now, even those which just want to gamble for fun should restrain themselves from drinking alcohol at the casino, after all there is a reason casinos offer free drinks to some players, and it is clear their intent is to try to make those people to bet even more money and to eventually lose it.
That means while playing gambling, we must be able to control ourselves and stay away from drinking alcohol because it is feared that it will affect us in playing gambling. It can also make us forget our limits. Instead, we will be motivated to use more money with the feeling of pleasure from drinking alcohol which makes us forget ourselves and can not control ourselves. There is no point if we get drunk and play gambling because that is tantamount to releasing self-control unconsciously and the result is clear, namely that we can lose all the money quickly.
I think it's a common sense now as an adult that alchohol affects us no matter what we are doing. We have our own limit on alchohol and being drunk can make you crazy things especially if you are that type of person. There are people who we can commonly see on poker tables drinking their favorite alchohol which I think is fine because we are all adult and we should be responsible on our actions. If you had done crazy thing like on the story of OP, I think you are still responsible to that even when you are drunk. I'm sure that doing crazy things came from your urge in doing that. Maybe the man who run naked has an urge for revenge for that casino and he thinks that doing it is a form if revenge.
634  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why don't land-based casinos have an online version? on: August 07, 2023, 04:10:36 PM
I wonder why real or land based casinos are not offering a virtual or online version of their casino ( I never seen one yet). If they can afford to open a physical casino it seems easy for them to invest in a virtual one as well, possibly combining both to create an experience similar to what Evolution Gaming offers.
My guess is, maybe over time and some of the technological advances that we see currently being used by online casinos, I believe physical casino innovations are made into online casinos, sure to increase users and in line with the progress of the online gambling industry, maybe they have thought about that, maybe a different brand of casino, founder of a one-man casino physical casino or online casino.

I think that currently many physical casinos are switching to online casinos, maybe we just don't know what physical casino owners are actually doing.
I'm sure that online casino owners matured on playing on a physical casino. There's a posibility that they dreamed on having their own casino with the experience of the in's and out of a casino. One thing that can make their own casino without a very heavy cost of establishing real machines is to utilize the technology that we have mow which is being able to run a casino online. I also think that sooner or later, physical casinosnwill transition into an online casino.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if USDT falls down? on: August 07, 2023, 02:58:52 PM
I see many money-making sites that are using USDT as main coin for that. In that reason it will be very stable for many months ,it will go higher than today.
What do you mean by money making sites? You are obviously off topic and I don't  know what is the thing that will go higher. Usdt?

If USDT falls into .1-.2 price range, I'm pretty sure that a market crash will follow as we had saw from the past. Remember LUNA crash along with it's stable coin UST, a huge market crash was the result of UST depegged. I strongly believe that it can happen if a major stable coin such as USDT happen to have the same fate as UST.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 07, 2023, 02:34:58 PM
If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

-snip-

No, gambling addiction starts not only when you get a win but when you experience defeat it can also cause a high curiosity to win and keep trying to continue playing or betting until you are addicted.
There are many people out there who often lose but are even more active in gambling, so it would not be right to say that the cause of gambling addiction is only when you get or feel a win.
First entered the gambling industry, of course you would lose more often, but over time you still gamble to be able to have a win and keep trying until curiosity has enveloped your life to keep betting.
I strongly agree with you. Sometimes people who started doing gambling are just bored and just want to discover something exiting until they experience the adrenaline rush they get from gambling by risking something like money. Some people like reclaiming their losses and just want to plainly defeat casinos. Each defeat they get gives more reason why they should stay long in a casino to get revenge from their losses no matter what.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18, holding my bitcoin and looking forward :) on: August 06, 2023, 03:41:50 PM
I am gonna start deciding to sell it at end of 2024 , but I guess i could wait till end of 2025.

Hopefully bitcoin can save me from this crazy inflation and break me out of this financial crisis.
If you guys have any tips , do let me know ... I would be very grateful for it.
If you are going to sell your bitcoin in 2024 or 2025, do you have a further plan of action, what will you do with the cash that you receive when you sell bitcoin, because it will also be subject to inflation.

But in general, your plan is good, owning 1 bitcoin in your student years is an excellent result.

If Bitcoin serves as a currency, why not employ it to purchase goods and relish the resulting acquisitions? After all, the true essence of currency lies in its usage for transactions, akin to employing FIAT to buy food, soda, coffee, clothing, and other sundries. Engaging in selling with hopes of post-halving profits essentially mirrors the essence of investment.

As for governmental remarks, it appears that they cannot outright halt Bitcoin's existence, merely impede its velocity to some extent.
Thant's right, it's worth doing, but only when bitcoin is in a bull market, when it has been able to reach the new ATH, then you can pay for everything you need with bitcoin, if you have such an opportunity. But while the bear market lasts, it is better to take care to buy as much bitcoin as possible so that our investments will bring us profit in the future.
Selling your bitcoin at the bull market and buying bitcoin again on a bear market and repeating it for many time seams an easy trick to make a lot of profit since it's the time that you are challenging but yeah it's hard to be patient for years. Imagine those people who did this kind of holding strategy on the past market cycle, I'm sure they are millionaires right now.

2024/2025 is the anticipated year of cryptocurrency bull run and bitcoin is the most anticipated coin that will rise. I think if we achieved a greater price feat on bitcoin, the adoption will be much faster than past years. We have saw a increase of bitcoin payment acceptance last bull market and I personally expect that it can rise again.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A advise to my friend about his decision on: August 06, 2023, 02:10:12 PM
Many people lack basic knowledge of bitcoins.
I became interested in this topic when I learned that a friend of mine was so ignorant of bitcoin that he recently received bitcoins from his father, but he had no idea what to do with them. As a result, he tried to reject the inheritance and was spared from having to argue with the lawyer who was reading the deceased father's will, which was being read aloud. Why wouldn't someone, he insisted, give him some houses and perhaps some cash so he could launch a new business?

But while his father decided to give him bitcoins, my friend was furious and even left the house because he believed his late father had given him some money out of hate for him. When my friend came to my house to tell me the story, I encouraged him to collect the coins and learn more about bitcoins, and he was furious to listen to me until I started the show and started explaining it to him. At that point, he was happy and walked back.

I think your friend doesn't kniw what is the actual value of bitcoin he was about to recieve. Try to recommend him about trying to convert the total bitcoin he was about to recieve in your local currency, he might get some dedication because of the value of bitcoin. If he's interested enough and ask you to teach him about bitcoin, you can refer him to valid resources online on how to use his crypto but if he only wants to sell it for fiat, You can't force him to hold the bitcoin so just help him in converting it to fiat.

Maybe his father has some reason why he make him recieve a bit oin instead of physical properties, I rhink his father is thinking about the future and I like it.
639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: August 06, 2023, 01:27:16 PM
Totally trading not a good ways for beginers. New investors get too excited to dive into the trading market which results in money losses at home. Newbies don't understand trading so they take losses while trading quickly. So invest early to replace advanced strategy at dip price and do your research.
Maybe you don't really understand what the Op is trying to say, we all know that trading is kind of risky but the Op is comparing spot trading with future trading, but if beginners are trying to trade, its better they go into spot trading, any beginner that want to start trading should just start with spot trading, even some professional traders are scared of future trading, they prefer to trade on spot. Future trading is highly profitable, but the risk is associted with it is really high, you can lose everything you have been working for within a very short period of time, but spot is kind of safe compare to future trading.

you can easily get liquidated in futures if you don't know what you are doing. the best for beginners is spot trading. use small amount of money first to try your hands on this. also, better go for btc first and other top alts, while you are learning the ropes. there's too much to learn in spot trading before you can go to futures. once you are comfortable with your trading skills, you can start exploring your chances in futures. but start with top alts as much as possible. new alts usually has short lifespan, which is very risky to do.
Even a seasoned veteran can be absolutely destroyed if they make a single mistake when trading futures, so not only it should be a requirement to be an experimented trader but that person needs to also work exclusively as futures traders, if they want to work doing something else and they also want to trade on the side this is not going to work as futures trading requires their full attention, still many people decide to ignore our advice and trade in this way anyway, and soon enough they find themselves regretting their decision.
Just imagine those future traders who are being liquidated with an ridiculous amount of money because of a suden crash or sudden pump by the market. Those traders won't surely did some research and charted it but yeah, we can't tell what might happen on a crypto market. It's not that predictable but the chance of you identifying on where would the price go can increase. Future is a risky way of trading and even those who are earning good in trading recommend people to just stay away from futures trading because of it's nature. Imagine those newbies who has zero to little experience, their trading career can end as soo as they expect.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 06, 2023, 01:08:19 PM
I haven't used any copy trading apps but I'm trying to see other trader insights on tradingview. It helps me in rounding on what move to do on a specific trading scenario. I believe that it is always better to trade on your own especially if you are trying to improve your skills but yeah there are people who only want to gain profit as easy as they can that's why they rely on copy trading. It's an easy path honestly but yeah the return is not that good sometimes especially if the trader you choose is not performing well, you will lose on either fees or lose on the performance on the trader you choose.
