First and foremost, I commend Caleb Plant for standing his ground against the sheer power, strength, and accuracy of Canelo Alvarez. Though the latter was able to withstand most of the power punches of the former, he yielded on round 11 after that left hook that ultimately caused him the entire round.
It is such a privilege to witness the sheer dominance of Canelo in his weight division. This is the person who continued to dominate boxing and he showed his superior skill and prowess to everyone.
Caleb is the best opponent Canelo has faced in the super middleweight he is good in the early rounds he rolled Canelo's punches and he has a good defense, the fight was unpredictable going in the sixth round but Caleb is in different territory going to the seventh round where Canelo started to show his dominance, it's a game of endurance and gameplan, Caleb should be proud of this fight he shows heart it's just the body punches did a lot of damage, we'll still see more of Plant in the future. |

When posed with that question, the camp of Caleb might have a hard time thinking of a specific boxing ability or quality of their fighter which makes him better than Canelo. They would neither reveal their strategy in taking up against Canelo. That's probably why they just give a somewhat vague answer in saying they are fully prepared and ready. I agree though. They cannot be less than 100% ready in facing Canelo. Canelo has everything to defeat Caleb.
