If your total score is 8 or higher, you may be a problem gambler.

LOL I've had higher than 10 TBH but I don't see myself facing nor having any problems with the Gambling at all. I know that I'm addicted onto it as I wake up and the first thing I do is to check if my bets where correct or not and even try to bet again before taking breakfast nor working. But I know that Gambling had been making me satisfied with the fun it yields towards the experiences but I also know how to discipline myself in order to make something good out of my  gambling activities.

I don't think the survey really accurate to all gamblers nor to all of their mindsets. But then, it's better for other gamblers to seek help whenever they feel to be addicted onto it.

Don't like this situation in CS where more and more coaches are coming out and confessing something like "I have used coaching bug without knowledge of the team or organization". Have a feeling a bunch of teams has used the bug and profited from it and now when shit has hit the fan everybody has decided that coaches are the ones to take the blame and probably a nice "under the table check" to keep the problem contained.

Waiting for DOTA to make a comeback, CS is just not doing it for me at the moment. I pick few games here and there in some multi but is all for small stakes and with usually unfavorable outcomes.

The DOTA 2 scene is slowly making a comeback but these Counter Strike matches are not stopping anytime. They really booked a lot of matches all around Europe and America. They really are faster than DOTA 2 but the latest matches at DOTA 2 were a total stomp. Secret is still the reigning champs with their complete lineup even before the quarantine periods started. On most betting websites, just go Secret all the way.

Counter Strike really shows a lot of versatility and they really did some shuffle within the lockdown which was risky since they won't be able to hold team building activities that might improve their communications strategies.

I didn't notice that DotA2 is losing its popularity over CS:GO or is it just because DotA had less tournaments than CSGO nowadays? Nah. DotA2 is mostly famous with their TI or The International and its minor and major tournaments had been on hold and had to reschedule due to the pandemic. DotA preferred the old way of tournaments where they can see the actions of each and every players in the game as there would be  arisk and possibility that if they let players play on their own PCs or houses, they might use cheats and whatsoever. But CSGO doesn't take that onto consideration. That's why I also didn't play anymore CSGO with their community having so much cheaters and Valve and CSGO makers couldn't resolve that.
623  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to expect in soccer this season on: September 12, 2020, 09:53:31 PM
ith the advent of Covid19 almost destroying all that we love about the game, laying waste to our owning ceremonies and award presentation culture and sports in general. Here is the start of a new season for fans of soccer. Now that we can't watch from the arena, what's the best way to cheer up our heroes on the pitch to let them know we've got love for them and the team or perhaps, how to help them out their minds in the game?

What do we expect from premier league this season, let's test our prediction skills and show our love for the game. Have a great new season people.
Let's talk soccer.

I don't really like the soccer being just watched with a silent audiences with no intense environment or noises. Soccer games had been fun to watch with audiences shouting their own and bet team's name and cheering them up, and with the silent soccer to be possibly held would somehow be boring (if ever the show wouldn't add some noise in the background) and such boringness would simply be like watching them practice in their regular basis.

I think if the production would somehow make a way to add noise in the game or like pre recorded battlecry and shouts from different people, then I guess it would be as same as cheering in-house while watching it live, despite the fact that you shout couldn't really cheer them nor help the cheer at all  Grin

Sometimes, you don't need to accuse some trusted gamlbing platforms with your stupidity. Not to be rude, but you must learn to atleast read your past posts first in your account lol. I hope you lock the thread as soon as possible, and I hope that your problem is solved.
626  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Prediction Site on: September 11, 2020, 02:08:11 PM
I am used to few soccer prediction sites such as soccervista.com, windrawwin, goldenwin.com, in which I have noticed their accuracy is less than 50%. Please anybody with better free Prediction sites asides those mentioned earlier

There are a lot of paid prediction sites that tells you to bet in this and that team as even such team also have their portion and percentage to each and every bets that they could have, either they win, or they lose. There are also some articles that tells you that this is the best prediction site as they are also paid to be the top site and the higher the payment the higher your place in their rankings.

Hence, if you really are a soccer fan, better focus on making your own studies and predictions in any game.
627  Other / Meta / Re: Allow newbies with merit to post images on: September 11, 2020, 01:31:02 PM
The only problem here is that there are newbies whom wanted to posts images while cannot wait for their activity to reach junior member. As long as you post with 30min and up interval for atleast 10 times a day, you can be easily reaching the Jr. Member rank for a week, and also if you are a good poster and helpful to be worth merited.

Maybe we make requirement more strict to significantly reduce abuse possibility, such as :
1. Must earned at least 3 merit and have at least 15 activity (which means they must active at least for 2 weeks)
2. Must earned at least 6 merit

Even so, only very few newbie (who're not spammer) who can enjoy the benefit.

Keep in mind that theymos did mention this:
Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community. Newbie jail will never return: I consider the newbie-jail period to have been extremely damaging to the forum. When barriers to participation are too high, then the best people often just won't go to the trouble of joining, and the people who are willing to jump through the hoops are often people who aren't good for the community: people with nothing better to do, scammers, get-rick-quickers, etc. Having a permanent newbie jail policy would improve things a lot in the short-term, but would end up being a fatal poison to the community.

Though you are suggesting some perks and beneficial to the newbies that are good posters, it would simply be a hard task for them with such ceiling of standards.
628  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex will stop serving a number of countries. on: September 11, 2020, 12:33:20 PM
~

Bittrex doesn't really have that much of clients around the world, as many preferred either Binance, KuCoin, or Poloniex. Also, the list are only the countries that had some changes with their laws and regulations about online cryptocurrency trading, hence some are still being supported (such as Philippines)

Also, this shouldn't be here in the Bitcoin Discussion board but rather on Trading Discussion, as the topic is mainly about a trading platform, not in general Bitcoin. Better move this.

630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is good strategy or technique for Toss Coin? on: September 10, 2020, 03:34:10 PM
Toss coin were only use in Tie games in my area, it's hard to do martingale strategy as it may not result the way we wanted it as it will only a 2 choices either we win on it or not. It doesn't need strategy to do tossing just luck. It's only ideal to games or battles were in two opponents like in politics when they get same vote and the people seems to choose or like any of them then toss coin is the solution even in games in my local area.

On us too. And also used toss coin to pick which side you want to be in or which team will play first. We don't use it directly for gambling. But I see this toss coin is just a 50-50 win probability. It's either you loss or you win. Can't make any strategy since this is a 50-50 chances of winning. Maybe you can see how the person is tossing coins, and look for the past results of it.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful when you play games with your coins! on: September 10, 2020, 03:09:19 PM
There should always be a proper discipline on playing or taking your funds into gambling. You should always be with yourself, thinking for the best move to do. You should also always set where you will hold for a moment when you are losing, and also ofcourse hold when you already win. Set how much you need to loss to stop gambling for a while, and set how much win you are satisfied with.
632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : what features you want in it on: September 10, 2020, 02:35:23 PM
Not necessarily features, because I don't think features are what so called ""DEX""s are missing. It's the consistency and speed is what custodial exchanges have, and non-custodial or ""DEX""s are missing. I'm going to admit I haven't tried Binance's ""DEX"" though.

Indeed, DEX platforms nowadays already had so many features yet still encounters problem with speed and transaction failures. Meanwhile, some DEX doesn't support this wallet and doesn't support this system. And maybe, if ever that the OP and his idea on a project would happen, he might consider taking all of other DEX's shortcomings and be his project's advantage.

If there is a DEX to be developed from scratch then what features will you want in it,  which is not in other exchanges. How this DEX can be made work like binance.

Therefore we only want both consistency and speed with your DEX project.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS earnings on: September 10, 2020, 02:01:20 PM
Let me explain in simple terms. When it comes to rewards, POS is like POW but you just need to hold your coins in a wallet that can stake. In general, the rewards doesn't necessarily comes from transaction fees alone, rewards can also include new coins that is mined from staking and is added to the circulating supply. Though reward distribution method varies from different projects.

so aside from transaction fees and rewards from newly mined blocks, are there any other methods to generate these earnings? and do you happen to know what are the methods used in the projects i mentioned in my original post please?

Some projects do open investments, like ICO, where there are a lot of discount once you bought a certain coin before its official release. Hence, that is the best option/reason why other coins/tokens can give huge amount of rewards to its system's / token users. They can also have their own trading platform like Binance, which made their own token/crypto named BNB (Binance Coin). Hence, most project either DeFi or an ERC-20 project always starts with investment programs and stuffs to help the project make huge reward afterwards.
634  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Poloniex Phishing Website on: September 10, 2020, 01:09:38 PM
There is a phishing Poloniex website:

Code:
PHISHING SITE https://polȯniex.com/
xn--polniex-v2c.com

Shouldn't this be moved to Scam Accusations board? This kind of thread fits there more than in here. I know this is just a warning for the beginners, but Poloniex are for trading (which SA is a sub-board of Trading Disc), and most traders or even warnings such this are better be reside on the Scam Acc board. Better move this, it is the newbie/beginner's initiative to take a look on that board as well..

Enough said, as plvbob0070 had mentioned, Poloniex already had this feature to detect if a site with their name is legit or not. It was a problem back then as many had been phishing people with fake Poloniex websites after the platform had its popularity in trading industry.
635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Other people who worked hard to build Bitcoins indirectly on: September 10, 2020, 12:35:33 PM
We often say that the inventor of Bitcoins is Mr.Satoshi but if you are interested in the people who did helped him build the concept {indirectly} read on :

Back in 2009 when Bitcoins was invented Mr. Satoshi Solved one Problem that was indeed difficult. In digital decentralized currencies it was easy for them to be duplicated  since they are nothing but a digital File; Due to Duplicating it might have caused : Inflation due to the counterfeit money.
But there came 2 ways by which we can solve this:
1. Proof of Work
2. Proof of Stake
Now in Bitcoins we used : ""Proof of Work""

Can you  say that the invention of AI takes first before the idea of the Computer? It is an obvious criticism, that bitcoin is only inspired by other researches back in 1990s and had been implemented in a modern technological way. Blockchain is just a theory and a simple physical system back then (Blockchain in banking system), and Bitcoin only adapts it's idea as an inspiration for a ""digital banking"". Or for layman's term, Bitcoin is just a mere digitalized innovation of Fiat and banking system.

Therefore, those researchers didn't helped the building of Bitcoins, but rather a backbone of the Bitcoin's invention.
636  Other / Archival / Re: [SCAM] Fake Chinese TON disguised as DeFi on: September 10, 2020, 12:00:02 PM
TON is alive? Under the guise of a crypto project with a recognizable brand, a scam is being promoted. Shocked
`

Ok f*ck at first looking at that new TON project I've really thought that they tried to be back but using the DeFi system lol. Damn, there are already a lot of scam DeFi projects and some resurrects those failed projects that uses ERC20 back then, soon people might be doubtful trusting DeFi projects as well after this series of scam attempts and events.

Good catch lol. This really helped me hehe. (what a fool)
637  Other / Meta / Re: EXPRESS THOUGHTS ABOUT B&H AND RANK AND MERIT SYSTEM on: September 10, 2020, 11:19:51 AM
I'm pretty sure the consensus between non-spamming people here is that the new merit system has been an incredible success in making the Bitcointalk experience better. Like 95% of the negative complaints about the merit system has been mostly from people with 300+ activity with 1 or zero merits anyway lol.

But it also comes with a disadvantage, in which the forum gained a huge decrease on traffic, on users per se. But somehow, the forum's active members can be counted by a single person in an hour and the good quality posters also decreased (as some of users also had lost hope in the forum after the implementation of Merits and the less signature campaigns that opened for their ranks) drastically which also indicates that the forum's quality (by far) are better compared to the era before merits. Hence, such disadvantages/outcome opened a lot of doors to a better improvement.

Kudos to Theymos for making this move even if it means that forum traffic most likely decreased because of it.

Well, the forum can earn by ads alone in the Auction, hence, it's impossible that the forum would be deceased, even after the implementation of upcoming Epochtalk Cheesy
