621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google Play updates its policies permitting blockchain games and apps on: September 22, 2023, 10:52:20 PM
Do you believe that this update from Google Play will drive the adoption of NFTs in mobile games?
While the craze for P2E and NFT games has been so great during the past bull run. If there will be involvement of bigger names and companies aside from Google allows this, then it is for sure that there will be a significant effect on these specific projects that have their own markets and the same goes for the bigger market. This could be one of the driving forces that will push it again to the positive angle of the market prior to the bull run.

I hope so...
Let's just hope so so that people that are still can't move on with these blockchain games, NFTs and P2E projects will have that hope. But let's all conclude that 99% of them have already died and with this Google Play policies and adoption, we will see within several months prior to Bitcoin halving if there's going to be significant effect.

I see lots of NFT game ads on Facebook right now and they may already loosen their rules regarding it next we will see some of it in YouTube ads as well after Google permits them to do so. They should know how to filter these ads because some of those blockchain ads are not even real and they are just stealing some information from others especially email addresses and some sort of info they can scrap for their scams. Also after they get permission, others will create some fake games that have no road maps just to confuse others and eventually lead to other legit NFT games closing because they lose huge numbers of users.
Facebook isn't that strict with ads and even with the news before of banning crypto ads, still I am seeing a lot of them so filtering them will depend on them and the same goes with YouTube. But the difference is that with YouTube, I don't see it that much anymore.
622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominace on: September 22, 2023, 10:31:14 PM
Some people are investing their money more in altcoins because they feel they're very cheap and can easily afford to buy them compared to Bitcoin, which they think is very expensive. But yeah, bitcoin might be expensive to purchase one piece of it, but that doesn't mean that the investor must buy a whole bitcoin at once. They don't realize they can buy Bitcoin in fractions for any amount they can initially afford to invest. Although some altcoins can luckily earn some investors a huge profit, like already some investors have been able to make some profit in altcoins but it was out of luck,
Very true, they think that they're able to purchase something on a discount and the opportunity is the same as Bitcoin. That's not what it is but if that's how they believe it works, some are even making money out of it when the bull run comes. But whichever type of investing works for you, better to keep on doing that and as for those investors that are managing to make more with altcoins of their choice, that seems pretty fair for them but still Bitcoin is the best of them all regardless of how much they gain in altcoins.

so anyone who is venturing into altcoins should just be fully aware of the risk of losing their money if the project falls at the end of the day. Bitcoin is really dominating, and it's still in the bear season, which gives an investor the opportunity to buy now and make a profit during the bull run.
That's it, the risk is even higher with altcoins and they don't know if by tomorrow the value would be increasing more as there are also bunch of investors that has the same thinking as theirs that would dump as quickly as possible when they see a probable collapse.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Investment tips on: September 22, 2023, 10:14:16 PM
4. Health: This is also a free investment that we can make, whether it's physical or mental. Regular exercise and a balanced diet will give us energy and clear thinking. Let's not underestimate having a healthy mind and body, because it is one of our investments in the struggle of life. Did you know that a bedridden person prays that they can get up and do what they want in life? They regret why they didn't take care of their bodies when they were in their prime when they had the chance. So you are now able to take care of your health for a clearer future. You don't want what you're struggling with now to be eaten by others because your health can't handle it anymore.
A lot of working people don't give importance to their health mostly the younger ones. They think that they're tough and thick but basically, they're ignoring the importance of taking care of themselves. Our bodies are vulnerable to many sicknesses and even if you're in your best shape, no one can skip from getting old and being sick. Nothing against those people that likes to party all day long every Friday or Saturday night but that's when things are being formed with your habits. I have been there and done that and as I grow older, I am feeling the collateral of what I've done during my younger days. With the vices like smoking, drinking alcohols, drugs and any other activities that will affect our body physically and mentally, it's not just worth it. Someday those people that are into those will come to realize that they probably shouldn't do that and even if their body is crying out to stop and they didn't, they will be charged of it in the future.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2023, 09:53:46 PM
At the end of the day even if Dame wants to go to Miami but if the management deals with other teams and he's willing to put there, he will just have to be obliged, right? Or he's got the right to decline that trade. Like for example this deal trade with the Bulls is agreed.
It seems that he is desperate to get out of the Blazers right now, that's how I see it, so maybe if his advisors or at least his agent will tell him to take that offer, and instead of him sitting this season as been reported, it's better for now to be traded somewhere else, but who knows.
Yeah, whatever comes that might be good for his desire to get out then just agreed with it. But he knows himself better and the team that he's in or wherever he's gonna be traded to.

Yeah, most likely the Warriors will have to help Dwight with his conditioning, and for sure they have the right people to do that. They have superstars that is also ageing, so maybe they have a good program or at least put one for Dwight if they will get him for this season.
They likely have it. They've taken CP3 and now they're gonna have Dwight Howard on their wings and that's why they must be cooking something that's gonna work for them. I just hope that this isn't like the other teams that's super hyped before but became a lackluster during the actual season.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: September 22, 2023, 05:57:26 PM
I don't think extremely poor or wealthy people are not excluded in this matter since in this world in order to survive we all need is money for us to buy our wants and needs. People who spend money for their own desires and satisfaction we are all aware of that already. Poor people are not afraid of loss since they already accepted their situation either they will work hard to become rich unlike those wealthy people what if one day they woke up and end up in a miserable life? Can they accept it?
That's true about those that are in the poverty threshold. When they wake up, nothing changes and they just have to deal with life again trying to survive and have food on their tables. While the wealthy ones that probably have made their lives miserable and turned their wealthy lives into a nightmare, maybe they won't survive at first but they will adopt the situation as they have no choice but to step up and stand again on their own.
It's actually a debate that people are saying the opposite that if you make a wealthy person poor again, they'll be able to get back in life and will become wealthy again. But if you make a poor person rich, they'll just end up being poor again because they don't know how to manage their wealth and how to maintain it.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting patiently for the next bull run... on: September 22, 2023, 05:15:33 PM
Memes are ponzi and 99% of the time you will get rekt. Invest in projects with real teams and business usecases. Projects like XLM, UTNP, Q Blockchain, and IOTA. Look for ISO20022 compatible chains.
It's true about meme coins that most of them aren't good and might just give you a loss. And if there are legitimate ones on them, only a very few and I don't have them anymore. Those that made such profits from it will have hard time in telling you that they will not stop investing on it because of what they have made. With the ones that you've mentioned, I only know IOTA and XLM and the rest, I don't know if they're really good projects but we have our choices and biases on this market if it's about the projects that we're investing.

Can anyone explain to me how the value of a meme coin is derived and why people think they are investable assets for the long riun?
It's because of their history that they've made such tremendous gains during the last bull run. So the hype that's been made from it is what making investors that they'll still make money out of it in the next bull run. Talking about in the long run, you'll never know if they'll be the same as before.

We've got some rumors again that came out related to Damian Lillard and it's another team that's interested to trade him. It is the Chicago Bulls that are interested in acquiring Damian Lillard. What do you think about this? The article says that they're likely to trade LaVine for Lillard.

I think before this news came out, there were was a rumor last year specially on how the Bulls was not able to get over the first round of playoffs, despite having a good tandem in Lavine and DeRozan, that Lavine is not happy and so he might want a trade.

But in this case, Damian Lillard said he wants Miami his as his preferred destination though. And not sure if Portland is willing to have a 1:1 trade here or if Lavine also wanted to be with Portland.
At the end of the day even if Dame wants to go to Miami but if the management deals with other teams and he's willing to put there, he will just have to be obliged, right? Or he's got the right to decline that trade. Like for example this deal trade with the Bulls is agreed.

I would say the Blazers will reject all of the Bulls' offer for sure.
The Heat has better assets compare to the Bulls, and yet they didn't make a deal with them. What are the assets Chicago has? Lavine? Hardly an all-star caliber anymore. Vucevic? Who will be their center if they will trade him? After those 2, they don't have any attractive assets anymore that will make the Blazers trade Dame. Overall, I would say Miami would be a better team for Dame than Chicago.
They might not have that much but some support players could also be dealt with upon for this trade if ever this happens. But again, this is just a rumor and we'll never know until a deal settles if it's with Miami or Bulls or any other interested team.
628  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hope $ Wisdom... on: September 22, 2023, 01:23:11 PM
In some countries they mourn adults more than they do with children and in some countries they mourn children more than adults. What I'm trying to say is, when an adult dies you lose their wisdom and when children dies you lose their hope.
So I ask, between hope and wisdom which do we value more?
Why not just value both of them as they're both needed by a country and by the people? If there's a deeper meaning between either of the two, why can't just we just proceed for hoping for the best in our future and at the same time get more wisdom as we get older?
You choose what you think is best for your situation but in my situation, both are needed. The hope that there will be something better to come out from the youth and the wisdom that the older and experienced folks ready to be shared to them.
629  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May politician kaya na pro Bitcoin or may crypto investments? on: September 22, 2023, 04:04:00 AM

  • Coins.ph
  • PDAX
  • Moneybees
  • Gcash - powered by PDAX
  • Maya
  • Unionbank - soon

631  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you take water intake seriously? on: September 21, 2023, 05:59:05 PM
I know that too much is also bad even if it is water. Not sure if I'm taking a lot or if this is too much but I'm sure that I am intaking more than the 7-8 glasses of water on a daily basis.

Most people are not aware of the importance of water. Some believe its better to drink softdrinks.
Same with food, quality is not important for most.
Those that believe that softdrinks are better, someday they will realize that it's only going to give them diabetes. I am guilty of it and honestly it's delicious when your drink has got a flavor. But whenever I intake juices or softdrinks or any flavored drink, I am taking as much water as I can.
I always crave for water and wherever I go, it's what I am looking for when I got home but at most times I have my own water bottle but it's not enough and that's why I drink a lot at home just to retrieve that thirst from outside especially when the weather is hot or humid.

633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do you think Satoshi Would Think About Today's Bitcoin? on: September 21, 2023, 04:52:36 PM
He'd be happy, his vision and whatever has happened still it's being adopted by the world. Someone who has invented a project that's being adopted globally regardless of what his vision was and didn't anticipate to be this big will surely make himself happy and satisfied. Many have also noticed that in the past but that's fine, Bitcoin was mostly considered today as an asset, a store of value, and while small traders and investors are just accumulating and taking profit from it, and the same goes to the institutions that are joining the space and surely satoshi if seeing that will be mostly proud of himself.
634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: September 21, 2023, 03:37:42 PM
I think emotion is the highest science in trading, because only we ourselves can fight it, so it is difficult to do or learn without doing it. practice in real.
It is our enemy, our emotion. It's pretty much easy to do things when you're not too emotional because it stops us from discovering things and that's making us think that we need to be limited in our activities especially in trading.

after that we will have our own feelings about trading, so we will feel every time the next movement will occur, and this can be obtained along with our experience of trading
If it's about trading, it's not just about our feelings. But we need to research the market and as well as look at the news that are coming and what affects the market. Having this feeling isn't just enough for you to tell on what's gonna happen next.

I only saw some short clips of his games in Taiwan. I heard his stats were good but is it also true that his team lost more games than winning?
Yeah, he's got absolute crazy stats there but it's also true that his team got more loses than winnings.

T1 League Standings

1. N.Taipei CTBC25-5
2. Tainan GH19-11
3. TB Herobears16-14
4. Kaohsiung A.15-14

6. Taoyuan L.6-24

Here are the stats of the Taiwan T1 League teams. And the last one, the #6 is the team where Dwight played for.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 21, 2023, 10:55:40 AM
I was browsing on the PBA officiat website and seen this interesting article, so I thought of sharing it.

Cancer-free LA ready to rejoin Gilas, Ginebra

Quote
TIM Cone happily announced Barangay Ginebra guard LA Tenorio is now cancer-free.

The champion coach said Tenorio just finished his final check up in Singapore on Tuesday where he was declared healed from the Big C by doctors.

"He's finished with all of his chemo seasions, he's been declared cancer-free, and he told them within days, he can start practicing," said Cone of the latest health condition of his long time court general.

Tenorio did a video call with Cone and the rest of the PBA Board while league officials were on a meeting to discuss the changes in the Gilas Pilipinas lineup to the 19th Southeast Asian Games.

It's been six months since Tenorio was diagnosed with cancer that kept him out of Ginebra's campaign in the season-ending Governors Cup.

It was just recently when he announced he had cancer, and now he is cancer-free. This is good news because when we hear the word 'cancer,' it usually implies a life-threatening condition that may only allow people to live for a few years or months, depending on how severe it is. Fortunately for LA, he is now healed and is back in basketball.

I believe he hasn't retired yet. Will he be back once the PBA resumes?
I am just happy for LA. I think that he'll be able to play again with the consent of the doctors that has helped him to recover. That was a very tough battle for him and the support that he got from everybody also helped him but of course, more than any other but with the help of Almighty God.
Did you just guys see another Ahanmisi 2.0? Like what he has asked his former team to have 900k-950k pesos of salary for his contract? The recent guy who did that was Jeron Teng. He's also asking for a high salary from Fiberxers but he's declined. Do you think that a better team will take him?
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that you will be hold till next Bull Run on: September 21, 2023, 09:56:07 AM
I have chosen ARB and OP, and I have invested heavily in these two projects.
Good luck, I have been seeing investors that are believing in these projects.

As of now, I have invested in XRP, Matic, Polkadot, Ada, Quant, and Solana. Additionally, I am currently researching AI-related coins that I intend to add to my portfolio.
All of those are known. While I'm also doing my part of trying to invest into AI projects but I have realized that maybe this time a few of them could grow as much as they can. Because in the past, there have been AI projects but they're not that popular at all and the attention given to them aren't that much compare today. Maybe on the next bull run, many of them are going to be better than the others in the past. And the newer AI projects that will be released on these moments will have significant attention since they've been launched on the right time. That's just my opinion and I am not speaking of any actual event.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 21, 2023, 09:23:25 AM
Thus gamble only the money that you can live without. If you don't have excess money for gambling then forget about it and focus on how to improve your financial status. This way, you don't have to borrow money just because you're in short of funds for essential things.
And that's where many gamblers find themselves at fault. They gamble with the money that they can't live without and also when they don't have money but want to gamble, they push themselves and find a lot of ways they can just gamble. It is a very wrong move when you do that as a gambler and you're just adding the flame to the people who think that all gamblers are irresponsible and don't have a future. That's why that thought for gamblers never changes because of the kind of irresponsible gambler that makes it look even worse in the eyes of those non-gamblers. And in every side of it upon looking at it, never borrow money or ask for a loan just for you to gamble.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could SocialFi be the new trend in crypto? on: September 21, 2023, 08:55:45 AM
Do you think SocialFi can be the new trend in crypto?
I don't think so. There have been a bunch of them in the past but never got the spotlight.

Yes, there were plenty of them and all of them failed. It's even not as easy for defis to stay afloat in this market and a lot of people have moved back to centralized exchanges for their trading needs. In a similar manner, centralized social places generally provide a better service and platform for interaction and exposure. It's like we can make a better looking and fancy alternative to the forum but can't necessarily be able to move the userbase to that site. For a socialFi to success, it should be a good social place to start with. For example, telegram could turn into a socialFi if they carefully take the right steps.
There's a lack of interest from the community if it's about these socialFis. They seem to be optimistically good upon hearing for the first time but it's not really enough at all. They can't work on it completely because the social projects that exist today are hard to beat. There's a need to reengineer these projects if they can't hit the market and interest of the people. And people are wiser today and many think that there's no need for such a new trend in the market because they're not really interesting at all. Maybe a hype from a marketer or influencer will help the project to gain some volume but that's it, from the perspective of being long term, it's afloating.
