Waiting for 5 k to rebuy

I think 8-9k floor near future.

I will be expecting about the pump will happen next months.

I also think that price can be doubled next month.

I assume buyers are the ones waiting for Komodo to go down and sellers for it to go up. So my genuine question is what are the elements that make either of you think it will go one way or the other? Thank you.

For what it's worth, I personally used CryptXC to carry out a trade, I don't remember how fast the transfers were but my funds were not lost, I could deposit and withdraw. I don't know what exactly happened with the signature campaign, yet silence is surely not the way to go about it ...

Is the byteball.org download link for windows wallet working for everyone? Mine keeps failing slow download speed etc...

It works fine on my end, this might probably be an issue related to your internet connection ...

is the amazon web cloud ok?

The download link points to the v1.3.0 Windows 64-bit exe from https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases. What do you mean by "amazon web cloud" ?
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: February 18, 2017, 08:59:32 PM
I am using web wallet.I tried to install desktop wallet but it requires me to download additional files.

I have no experience using the web wallet. The desktop wallet requires the installation of the .NET framework, isn't it possible for you to download it?

Desktop wallet will also take long to sync,so there is no use installing it.

Yes it will, but probably less than the web wallet, it also depends on the speed of your internet connection. You could try running it for one or two days and see how it progresses ...

Hello
1 positive balance at the Bitcoin wallet tied only need to have the time ALLOTMENT? or permanently?
2 taken into account only the current amount that is in this purse, or the sum of all transactions for the entire period? Smiley

What you have now on the balance of your linked address(es) doesn't matter. You can do whatever you want with your bitcoins before and after the snapshot. The only thing that matters is what you have when the snapshot occurs (not what you have now).
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 17, 2017, 06:49:08 PM
are there any markets for blackbytes? going to be planned/launched anytime?

Blackbytes are traded on Slack at #trading_blackbyte, you probably know that as you seem to be present on Slack (at least someone who has the same username Smiley). The devs are supposed to be working on an in-wallet exchange for blackbytes, but we don't know when it's supposed to be launched.
627  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: February 17, 2017, 06:35:02 PM
what was the deference between activity and most ?

You can get a maximum of fourteen (14) activity points for a given activity period (which lasts two weeks). Your posts' count simply matches the number of messages you post.

the only main winners of this coin is the first round participants
FIFY.

You could say the same about any successful project.
In the end everyone who participated first always got the most out of it.
But they took the most risk as well, in this case just the time to take part or buy some BTC to take part.

I think there's a bit more to it ...

Let's assume a first rounder who linked 10 BTC, they got a bit more than 14 GB, let's make it 15 GB, in the 2nd round they got 1.5 GB + 625 MB, let's round this down to 2 GB so in the end they have 10 BTC + 17 GB.

Let's assume someone who came in before the second round when the price was stabilizing around 0.05 (and that's quite late cuz there used to be GB to grab at 0.008), let's make it 0.06, so 10 BTC would've bought a bit more than 166 GB (let's stick with this one), after that there has been plenty of opportunities to sell at 0.08 or higher, let's say they wanted to recover their initial investment, so they would've sold 125 GB (at 0.08), recovered 10 BTC and kept 41 GB => Better than a 10 BTC first rounder.

Of course this involves way more risk, a strong belief in the growth potential, hodling a bit (some days ^^) and some luck (yet the ones who bought at 0.008-0.01 and sold at 0.1-0.2 were probably the luckiest Smiley).

What I want to say is that opportunity is still here, and first rounders are not necessarily those who will make the most out of it ... (maybe whale first rounders)

Do you guys think it's possible to have a xmr / gbyte market at cryptox? Would really appreciate it! I think it would increase the volume. I'm sick of converting xmr to btc first and then buying byteballs

This might be a good idea. As for the possibility, you should contact grzem, the admin of cryptox about that, it will probably go faster if you contact him directly on Slack.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: February 14, 2017, 09:01:28 AM
How long the distribution of the byteball?

Too long Smiley. There will be plenty of rounds to come.

In this time the third distribution has delivered by the dev and someone was saying there is upcoming distribution by the dev and i just get this is the end of the byteball distribution.

Only two rounds happened, the third round is scheduled to take place on March 12 at 14:54 UTC.

I think dump will happen soon.

Maybe yes, maybe no Smiley. Dumps and pumps always happen Wink.

My addresses are linked, but I did not get blackbytes.
My Bitcoin address: 1Lxkcczzk1s83XoN9JR3MdmoTnCAzCy1FB, my Byteball address: UCH73SRSVZMKVPKN5XMMEARBGVK7KDSO.

There's a typo in your address, it should be Y instead of O at the end, but that's not the issue.

So yes, your addresses are linked and you got the corresponding amount of bytes.

Do you have the latest version? On Android it's still 1.2.0 but on other OS it's 1.3.0, you can get it here: https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/tag/v1.3.0. Is your device synced?

I have v1.3.0, and the device is fully synchronized.

I had two other leads, but I think they might not be good:

- Do you have another wallet on your device? Having said that I assume you should've received bytes and blackbytes on the same wallet ...

- I also assume your unit of display for blackbytes is not GB. Having said that, 1.3.0 is supposed to display decimals when the unit is high ...

So (if the above is good), I think you should send a private message to tonych.

Would be nice if you could add two new columns with the distributed amount which is given through linked Bitcoins and existing Byteballs. When I know rightly, one get 10% of new Byteballs based on the account's Byteball balance.

Actually, the 10% rule is in round 2 and round 3, in subsequent rounds it might change ... The same goes for the BTC rate, and moreover, one can only speculate on the linked amounts ...

What amount of Byteball's does one get for one linked Bitcoins in the next distributions? Does the amount of 0.0625 GB/BTC remain constant?

In the next round (the third), the rate stays the same.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 13, 2017, 10:03:50 AM
Right now we just have the first round and the second round, and we have received the new byte from the only previous(the first) round bytes. So we will know whether the new bytes from the second round will get 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte.

Of course they will.

You will get new bytes depending on your balances on the day of the snapshot, (and blackbytes for bytes if these are on linked addresses).

It doesn't matter if you got them on first round or second round or you bought them or you move them or whatever ... If you want to be part of the next round, just make sure your bytes and BTC are on linked addresses when the snapshot occurs and that's it Wink.

For the bytes you hold on March 12 you receive 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte of your balance, even if your bytes are not on linked Byteball addresses.
You also receive 0.21111 blackbytes for each 1 byte of your balance on the linked Byteball addresses.

i. e. rewards for the storing are:
10% of the full bytes amount for bytes and 21% of the full bytes for blackbytes.

right?

Right (mind the linking to get blackbytes).

Just a small reminder, if you guys have issues and are not on Slack, get your invite here: http://slack.byteball.org and go to #helpdesk. All your questions will be answered. And by the way, Slack is the place to be, up-to-date news, trading, tech, etc.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 12, 2017, 03:52:42 PM
The snapshots for the 3rd round will be taken on the Full Moon of March, on March 12 at 14:54 UTC.  In this round, you receive:
- 62.5 MB for every 1 BTC of proven balance
- 0.1 new bytes for every 1 byte you own at the moment of the snapshot
i've applied since the 1st round and before this last 2rd round it stated that the next rounds would use the snapshots of this 2nd round, but now it states that there will be more snapshots...
so my question is: if i move my bitcoins around, the bytes i'll get will be proportional to my 2nd round snapshot balance or to the balance when the 3rd distribution begins?

The idea is quite simple, just make sure your linked addresses have your funds when the snapshot occurs, whatever you do before or after with your funds, doesn't matter ...
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 12, 2017, 03:24:38 PM
I'm guessing that my balance won't be correctly updated if I've still got an older version of the client (0.7.1)?  Is there anything important to back up before installing the latest version?  Can't see anything in %appdata%, are there files tucked away anywhere besides the default install directory?

try to find bb directory by searching string byteball.
this directory should contain:
- folder: User Data
- files: byteball.sqlite | byteball.sqlite-shm | byteball.sqlite-wal

then make a backup and install a new version.
nope i think you can find it more on programfiles Smiley (assuming windows machine), best is backup your seed

On a Windows machine, you should back up %localappdata%\byteball, this is necessary to restore blackbytes, and is enough. You can also back up your seed, the recovery from seed recovers only bytes.

Got this error at 70% of syncing;  unc exception; Error: empty array in query parameters. And now every time i open the wallet. Running in ubuntu VM. What could be the cause?

Update to the latest version: https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/tag/v1.3.0.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 12, 2017, 10:30:46 AM
So 2nd round distribution only 1.76 + 1.76 = 3.52%, as compared to 10% the first round. This way it will take 20+ more rounds to distribute all the byteballs, looks a pretty slow distribution...

It was only 1.76%: 1.76% of the total supply, which is 17.6% of the available supply (bytes in circulation from the first round). Now we have 11.76% of the total supply in circulation.

We don't know how many bitcoins will be linked in the future and how the weight of bytes will exactly evolve (it's supposed to be more and more relatively to bitcoin) and the rules might completely change after the 3rd round, who knows. In my opinion, a slow distribution gives time for more people to join in, and for users/devs to develop applications around bytes and blackbytes before all the supply is available.

So what did I do wrong here? The bot told me to send my btc to specific address for me to get converted to byteballs

instead of sending small amount to link ur btc↔bb u sent a lot more.

Is there anyway for me to get these coins back? I just followed the instructions the bot told me

You probably didn't Smiley. The bot never told anyone who wanted to link to send all their BTC to a given address, it only asked for a micropyament. Anyway, you should contact tonych and explain what happened, I think he will gladly return your BTC.
