641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 30, 2023, 11:26:26 PM
Maybe OP can go through Google and select few pictures and brief in a simple way and print it as a Book as much required. These days the advanced printing and making those prints as a booklet is possible in a short time period. This seems to be a better choice than searching for books. I state this because we can have clear understanding on what we gonna explain. Even if a kid ask us about things mentioned in the book we should clarify them. When the book is made by us, we'll have better understanding and the the kids could also know it in a better way.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: June 30, 2023, 11:21:08 PM
Investing doesn't assure with make you rich. The goodness of investment lies on better money management, and it lets you have an eye over the market. Futuristic focus is a must with investment, and not everyone have the patience. This means an investment can be predicted within few years time, if things weren't moving as expected then it is time to switch to other investment.

Investment is a tool that lets you have an earning out of what you've earned. This have got risks and our expectations shouldn't be of overnight rich. Everything needs time to grow, maybe some used to be lucky to make big profits in short time period and we shouldn't have the same mentality of turning rich or making money as them.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 29, 2023, 11:58:53 PM
Oman has put up a tough fight against Zimbabwe. Oman need another 96 runs from 8 overs. They are still scoring at 7-8 runs per over, but that is well below the required rate (approx. 12 runs per over). Oman managed to perform decently this time, but that will not prevent Zimbabwe from getting two more points and take their total tally to 6 points from 3 matches in Super-6. Now they just need one more win (and probably none) to secure qualification for the ODI World Cup which will take place in India later this year.

Oman lost today but the team performed very well. They were defeated by only 14 runs. A huge target of 333 was set by the Zimbabwean team. Zimbabwean batsmen are playing very well in every match. They also played well against Oman's weak bowling attack. But the bowlers of Zimbabwe cannot bowl well. Oman scored 318 runs. Oman is not a very experienced team. It would not have been possible for Oman to collect 318 runs if Zimbabwe's bowlers had bowled under control.
The loss happened by a small margin. This time teams were performing unexpectedly. None could've expected these kind of performance from Oman. Zimbabwe is at its best and it is a complete disappointment that West Indies is playing bad. As said crossing 300+ runs isn't an easy thing. In particular while chasing targets reaching 300+ runs requires good cricketing experience. The teams have got good transition and playing more matches will make these teams more stronger.
644  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 29, 2023, 11:54:10 PM
Just because one doesn't pay the taxes perfectly, it doesn't mean that the person is bad or he hadn't done anything to his country. It is everyone's responsibility to pay taxes, but the government have got more responsibility to use it for the betterment of the population. This isn't happening with most of the countries. We earn hard and later the taxes need to be paid for our hard earnings. This also goes into the pockets of the politicians. What's the need for such a tax to be paid.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: June 28, 2023, 11:57:40 PM
Placing bets on underdogs used to bring us winning, but these are very low when we go with games where the odds of the underdog used to have big difference. Apart I've won by misplaced bets and lost in the same manner. My choice of bet was a team and out of some excitement used to bet on the opposite team. Later while checking the match result it used to be really sad.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 27, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
When the fight is between my team and a team team that have got little advantage over the favourite I'll prefer to bet on my team. I'm not sure of the win, but placing against my team will let me have a thinking of opponent to win the match. This ir not fair according to me, and for this reason most of my bets will favour the favourite team. There arises question, when the team loss the bet will be a loss and this will make you feel very bad. My bets won't be very big, and for that reason the loss won't hurt much, whereas the wins will be more enjoyable.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 27, 2023, 11:32:18 PM
In some part of the world poverty is linked with the money. This is why lack of money is mentioned as poverty. For example one who wasn't able to make atleast $30 is poverty. Some state the person who doesn't get the proper nutrients and doesn't have three meals a day are in poverty. Through different data, poverty will be mentioned. Even the ongoing inflation around the world push people into poverty. These news won't come out much, because the governments will be dethroned. It is the government's responsibility to give its citizens the security of living. This means unlike the changing scenario around the world the people should continue to live at their comfort.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2023, 11:22:28 PM
Selling properties and going all in bitcoin should be based on the understanding about the person on bitcoin. It is one's own earning and he have got the right to risk. It can be on bitcoin or the property can be left to grow in value over time. Most were success stories when investment were made after selling properties and valueables. Recently on person posted the incident of selling all his wife's jewels and buying bitcoin. Surely this could've given him with the best and no one lands in loss investing in bitcoin. The difference in time for growth could vary. We should have the patience to enjoy the real growth of bitcoin.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: June 27, 2023, 10:29:50 PM
Being knowledgeable in cryptocurrency is not an easy thing. People need to spend some time, this isn't going to be an on the go thing. Time need to be spent to learn better about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Most of the people who get into bitcoin were just on following the growth bitcoin have reached in the short time period.

When one understands well about the market and makes his/her entry, they'll stay longer in the market. This happens as a result of the person making the investment on the right thing whereas the person investing without knowing could end up with some scam.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 26, 2023, 11:47:29 PM
Sad to see players like Sarfaraz Khan not getting called up more often even though their domestic averages are pretty damn good. Makes sense why so many are revolting against the BCCI for focusing too much on IPL for international team selection.

Tournaments like Ranji etc will disappear pretty soon at this rate due to their dwindling importance over time.
Not really, everything is connected with politics. Feel good that Sharfaraz is able to play in Ranji tournament. Think of Pujara, what he did bad. In most of the important matches his performance is really awesome and helped India overcome situations and win the trophy. He's out of the squad and Shubman Gill have tweeted for a comeback same as Rahane, maybe that's common but I felt bad for this. Every player was bad at the WTC and what's the reason he's out of the tournament when players like Rohit were given opportunity. This is how cricket happens in India. When Dhoni is the captain he used to select and he stands never to disturb the squad, now that isn't possible.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: June 26, 2023, 11:42:17 PM
When the choice is to DCA, go with the top altcoins. Surely this will have low risk and bring assured profit when the price market turns to be bullish. As most of the people suggested, it is quite risky to go with new projects. If you're good at analysing the value and the outcome of the project then it is good that you can find the right project and invest.

Most of the time projects launched on the Binance platform used to be successful and brings big money within few weeks time. Nowadays this had reduced much. For users who prefer with lucky win could go with small investment on memecoins.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 26, 2023, 11:38:25 PM
The interesting thing about the Saudi Arabian teams is they don't just invest money to make their teams have better performance, they invest to make more marketing power for their country. In fact, whenever a player joins these teams their country will have the chance to attract more attention and this can have good economic benefits for them.
Whenever a superstar joins the Saudi Arabian teams they will have more people watching the games and this definitely brings more sponsors for the Saudi teams.
The government invests into marketing to bring more economy within the country. The government have understood that having oil alone not gonna make them in a better position and thats the reason why it have begun to focus on different things. The focus is to diversify its oil economy and develop public service sectors, infrastructure, tourism, and investment activities. Part of this comes the sports development along with the cultural and entertainment. Lets see whether Saudi Arabia will succeed in its goal. The first step is a success and the government have allocated good fund which is also a major thing for the good progress in reaching its goal.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 26, 2023, 10:36:01 PM
Everything is business, if you win few of the bets following the group automatically you'll suggest it to someone around you. When this happens the subscription will bring the group some earing. In all these groups you won't be assured of the profit, it is one's own responsibility to have his funds secured and learn better about the prediction of winners. I personally see one of the user NAPK1NS_RA3 who used to give better outcome on different matches. He never gives information on matches that he doesn't have idea. Following his is completely free which seems to be the best.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top Five Reasons Sports Bettors Are Attracted to eSports on: June 26, 2023, 10:00:49 PM
Predictions about e-sports can be said to be a little easier than other sports such as football or basketball, especially if we really follow the current development of esports.
Even though not all of them are 100 per cent correct in terms of predictions because matches sometimes have unpredictable but I find it easier to make predictions in e-sports than other sports.
I happen to like games and currently I like moba and fps for some existing and big games today, on the other hand I am also quite following the development of the players and some matches that often take place in competitions so that with this I am easier to predict when 2 teams play in e-sport.
I pretty much agree with what you said but in some conditions there may be some things I disagree with but that's only a small part.
Nowadays many esports are even used as odds although this is still not really seen by some big sites but now there are some that provide odds in this competition and I also often follow the bets there.

just like the regular sports, if you are a follower of some of these esports, it would be easier for you to bet. being familiar in the first place is the basic factor in being comfortable with your bets. and for sure, a lot of these players are also long-time players of these esports. so if you happen to follow them even before e-sports betting come into place, you would surely enjoy betting on this game.
Agreed, long term followers were the people who are much into eSports betting. I don't think much of the sports betting people will get into eSports betting leaving the comfort of sports betting. To understand the leagues itself it takes time and this needs more dedication and not many get interested into watching it compared to soccer or other matches.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 26, 2023, 09:56:43 PM
Nothing much to be learnt from the sports betting activities, because we're doing it based on the information we've gathered and not on some luck.

  • Never look for the big odds, go with the one based on the information.
  • Have alternate plans to execute, so that loss can be minimised while the match is in progress.
  • Don't be greedy with matches that are in favour of you, while you've chosen the underdog.
  • Cashout the winning when you're on the best position and chosen the underdog.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 26, 2023, 09:52:11 PM

After three bore cricketing days we have fourth very exciting day as 15 wickets fall and now match is completely in Australian control even England having very good start of fourth inning while they were chasing target of 267 with having 50+ runs stand for the first wicket now they are 116 for 5 after end of fourth day play.

Introduction of Ashleigh Gardner change the match momentum as she picks three quick wickets and breaks the backbone of England now mostly likely we will have result before lunch because tail-enders can't handle this situation and bowling of Ashleigh Gardner which is at the top of the game after picking three vital wickets and bring back his team in winning situation.

Well, it was genuinely sad how the match ended. I thought the England women were going to actually show some good heart and try to win this match.

But obviously, you are not going to win a test match if you lose six wickets in 68 runs. Except for Wyatt, no one else was actually able to score. Anything meaningful for the England team. I genuinely thought the England women have a chance. But they proved me wrong. A big win for Australian women by 89 runs in the end.

Atleast the match could've gone even closer, because the team that scored 463 runs while chasing the target of 473 runs in the first innings unable to cross 200 runs is simply bad. The opening wasn't good, if not the match could've been more better. At the start England missed the track and Ashleigh took credit of the opportunity and brought the win for Australia. Runs were coming good, but the wickets kept falling at regular intervals which is the thing that made England suffer. Anyhow it is a good match to watch, but the end went against the prediction.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 26, 2023, 09:21:53 PM
Congrats to Alex Bublik! He won his 2nd title (first one in Montpellier back in 2022) this week. And the competition was fierce in Halle: Struff, Zverev, Rublev... well-deserved win!  Cool

Bublik played the tournament in Halle really well and deserved to win in the end. Nevertheless, it was very surprising for me and I am curious to see how his performance will be in Wimbledon.
I am also curious about Carlos Alcaraz. After winning a tournament on grass for the first time he will certainly go into the Wimbledon tournament with a lot of self-confidence.
It was the hard work from Bublik, if not this win could've never happened. To win the title who all he played against is really big. Starting from the quarter finals he was playing against the leading players. He had been practicing well and was good at the serves in particular. This win had made him reach the 22nd position on the ranking. Back in 2021 Bublik reached the Halle final during the year 2021, and this year he was able to win the grass court title.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 24, 2023, 11:52:08 PM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?

I think maybe that's hard to happen if we look at casinos that are already big and well known. But suppose there is a new casino, and there are some players who are very good at playing, so they can win continuously, can the casino go bankrupt? or do they already have an algorithm or a way so players can't keep winning?
I don't think this can ever happen. Wagers from gamblers are not the only ways that casinos make money. There are other ways casinos make money that is in their business model. Some land based casinos have bars, lodging facilities, and other things attached. Therefore, no matter how much a wining a gambler makes, they'll make payment comfortably. This is however not for very small casinos without investors. Small casinos may not be able to handle large winnings. It may not bankrupt them but it would have grave consequence on the business.
Yes, the gambling platforms have more other businesses connected to them. In one day way or the other the platforms generate revenue which makes settlement easier and never get into bankruptcy. Some small casinos may suffer the problem of going down in business due to settlement of big wins. Most of the online casinos used to start little by little and progress good in the business. Such large win settlement will surely cause some drag down in the progress towards the next level of growth and business generated.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: June 24, 2023, 11:40:06 PM
When we discuss about the usefulness of bitcoin, there are many things to be considered. However some people have a misunderstanding that bitcoin is a way to make money. This mentality should fade out from the youth. They should understand the underlying technology as well as the need for bitcoin. This will help with the betterment of bitcoin in terms of growth as well as widespread. Lot many opportunities were available to earn, it is the person himself to make the right decision and work on it. People won't easily accept bitcoin, it takes time. To experience a better usability it takes time, considering the future if the youth start working on it, then this is going to be life changing for them in the long term.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 24, 2023, 11:24:17 PM
Do you all think this is good. This is similar to what the foolish Jake Paul does against the professionally trained fighters. I'll never encourage this kind of bets, maybe I would watch the match. This is unwanted thing, both are well known people and there is nothing to prove who is physically stronger over the other. What can be done is have a common dias in which both can be questioned on different things and for the answers from both can be left for voting from the common people. In this way winner can be chosen, anyhow it is people's choice what to do. Let them fight and you people watch it.
