661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buckle up bear market is upon us on: January 21, 2022, 03:33:24 PM
I hope we won't experience bear market in such a long period otherwise the market will be in serious crisis, agreed that the market is very red now but in few months things will recover, this is btc we are talking about, remember 2018 when btc went as low as 3500k, many people thought the end has come, what happen afterwards, that same year btc recover back to 9k then surpassed previous ath,
some people are confuse on what decision to take even while the market is down, holding btc has always proven to be the best decision, you can buy now or wait and see what will happen in the coming days, but remember that any little delay can be an opportunity lost.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable Coin For 20222 on: January 21, 2022, 03:05:35 PM
I'd go with Polygon ($MATIC), the hottest L2 right now, and has a growing community and startups building within its network.
Terra ($LUNA) as well. Has a good long list of supposed projects that will do airdrops which means, people will seek out to hold this coin. More people holding = price increase.
If you want to get into the rumored airdrops, but want a cheaper option, I'd go to Cosmos ($ATOM). In the same principle, people want to hold this coin to be eligible for a bunch of project on it doing future airdrops.
And yes, before you ask, airdrops are considered profit.  Grin

Good pick all through, lately matic network has been experiencing a lot or network pressure as a result of nft games on the network, that ha been causing the network to be supper slow and a little high trans fees, but yeah, that's a project to watch out for, good for long term hold no doubt,
luna is a must have, beside airdrops the project is worth holding because of its numerous qualities, and yes holding luna and interacting with the network gives you the opportunity to receive airdrops from some projects on the network, luna ust staking gives good apy for a stablecoin, good choice for this period.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 19, 2022, 07:09:03 PM
Because some old projects already have nothing new to offer and if those projects don't have huge demand from users or the public the price will rather be stagnate or fall, this is because of their roadmap is limited, not updated and no plans for future growth, new projects brings new ideas (just for a short time also), new hype, new opportunity and people want to take advantage of it,
despite the many new project launching on a daily basis, 80% of them still get funded, thanks to the many launchpad we have this days, they sell out within minutes, those who are able to participate in this launchpad usually make good profit, same thing with the project teams, they are able to raise good funds for startup.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do You Know Which Crypto to Buy? on: January 19, 2022, 06:30:57 PM
From what i read, it sounds like something that will be good for newbies and those who often get confuse on what project to invest on since we usually see those questions all the time here in forum, must be an advance version of blockfolio,
i agree with @livingfree, not everyone wants to install app from unknown source on their device considering the high rate of scammers and hackers looking for prey, a website version would be ideal for those who are willing to test it out.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com paused all withdrawal on: January 19, 2022, 05:55:34 PM
Better to be safe than be sorry, if this action they have taken guarantee users funds safety they i think did the right thing, there are too many hack case and worst part is they are usually unsuspected before the hack happens, to me this shows the crpto.com team are observant of all the activities happening in their platform, i hope things get resolve quickly so that activities can go on as normal.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is APYHarvest Legit? on: January 18, 2022, 02:58:52 PM
Anyone can find apyharvest? If you live in UK please check below address.

166 Sloane Street, London, England, SWIX 9QF
Block 7, The Oval, Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 D04T8F2

If any have any news, please contact tg @Tmy16

Why worry, if they are scam company i bet even that address is falsified and don't really represent their real location, i think this is what you should do before investing on any unknown project, that way you save yourself a whole lots of stress, they say when it is too good to be true, then it is not true, am always skeptic of those high apy platform because most of them are unable to sustain such high apy for long, better to look for small but legit apy platform.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Play2Earn: The Centerpiece of the Metaverse on: January 18, 2022, 02:42:01 PM
I want to see more of the actual gaming company enters play to earn metaverse.

They're going to nail it more than the usual projects that we see. At least for these companies, they already have the background in the gaming industry and they have reputation already.

Adding a P2E will really make the Metaverse for real because these companies are going to be like the companies-employers while the players are their office workers.

Perhaps they are just waiting to see how the metaverse ecosystem evolve before venturing into it, right now the metaverse is still relatively new and many investors are still in doubt of what the outcome will be, but as time progress am sure they will venture into the ecosystem and the metaverse will explode the way i see it.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It won't hurt on: January 18, 2022, 02:32:11 PM
Well i don't think that's a good idea to be honest, just because dogecoin was able to pull such surprise don't mean same thing will be expected from shiba inu, just saying, i understand this market is very unpredictable and nobody can tell what will happen in the future but we can't not predict one project base on what happen to another, this 2 projects have several different features which may not make them generate similar results. just my opinion.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a monopoly? on: January 18, 2022, 02:20:46 PM
Not anymore, maybe in the initial stage but now there are equally good smart contract projects in the market that provide same service or could be considered better than eth, the only problem is eth still dominate in this aspect, probably because being the first smart contract project gives it that edge, or some devs prefer that network more, however, the power is shifting to other smart contract projects.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BMs, does bounties help the project? on: January 17, 2022, 12:40:28 PM
I don't see many successful projects having done bounties.

And those few who have done it + were successful, considered it waste of token allocation.

Yet this forum is littered with many bounties, may be I'm missing something?

i think the best way to get an accurate answer is to ask the projects team themselves, like for instance, the project you are currently campaigning for, you can ask if the months of doing campaign for that project is worth it, from what i understand DigitalGold has been running their signature campaign for a long time now and they are still running it, so the question is, if the campaign is not worth it, will they keep paying for promotion here?
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Potential restrospective airdrop candidate: gm.xyz on: January 17, 2022, 11:19:48 AM
It's social media dapp on ethereum (no, you don't have to pay gas to do actions), much like Steem/Hive.

It's launched about 3 months ago and have been progressing well. They don't have any token yet and its high possibility that they will launch it sooner or later.

here is website link: https://gm.xyz

You can connect any ethereum address as long as account balance is >0 (dust counts).

Anytime i come across any eth related airdrop i tend to run away simply because of the ridiculous transaction fees we have to pay, since the op have clearly stated no gas fee is required to carryout any action, i guess i have to try it out, it is almost a common practice now for new projects to give airdrop to dedicated users, i haven't been lucky, i hope to be with this one when that happens  Smiley
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 17, 2022, 11:02:29 AM
...i wanna invest in octafarm.fi and this project looks really amazing and unique and the team looks professional what you guys think about this i need suggestions may be you guys know better than me.

I do not understand what caused your interest in this coin, but I see that the promised listing of the coin on pancakeswap today has not yet begun due to lack of liquidity. Where did you see a professional team if there is no mention of them on the website and whitepaper? Obviously, you came here to shill this project, and you specifically registered in order to leave this message on the forum.

Thought i was not checking it well regarding the team, the op mentioned the team are professional so i checked both website and whitepaper and i can't find any info about the team yet, new projects like this are risky, especially the ones with no team details, as for listing, they have a pin post on their telegram group about listing on xt.com exchange, this doesn't look anything like what the op described, perhaps he is trying to shill or he is genuinely looking for suggestions, either way, i would not put money on this imo.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A quick question!! on: January 17, 2022, 10:47:24 AM
Elon Musk influence on Dogecoins seems to have dropped, why ?

A project can not relay on influence alone in other to survive, there must be a solid utility otherwise the project risk being dumped by investors, and it will be a typical example of a pump and dump project, even if Elon decided to continue making those tweets to drive the price of dogecoin up, it will not be sustainable long term because investors will be tired of waiting for Elon's tweet all the time just to drive the price up.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Apyharvest.com run away on: January 16, 2022, 01:50:21 PM
People should be careful with the type of platform they engage with because you don't know if they are genuine or not, this type of platform will offer big apy to lure people in only to run away the their fund at the end of it all, it is a pity the OP fall victim to this common scammers,
Better to stake with reputable platform or exchange even though the apy is not high.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Kadena, what is it, and what's people's outook on it? on: January 16, 2022, 12:44:07 PM
Kadena is the only layer 1 PoW blockchain that is scalable together with Pact, the safest smart contract language. In addition, Kadena claims to be able to process up to 480,000 transactions per second (TPS) thanks to the use of braided chains. And this has surpassed Solana which is able to process up to 65,000 transactions per second. This token has also been traded on OKEx, KuCoin, Gate.io, Hotbit, and BKEX. With this achievement, many investors will definitely take a look at it.

They claim will be fully put to text when they have encountered huge traffic on their network then it will be clear it actually the network can process up to 480,00 transaction per seconds or not, sol was put to text and we see what happened, recently bsc was struggling same thing with polygon network, until kadena I'd put to such real text the claim will remain only a claim.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to spot a x100, x1000 or x10000 coin ? Isn’t this the million $ question ? on: January 16, 2022, 06:12:23 AM
I doubt there is a particular pattern to know what project will be the next x100, x500 or x1000, if you are lucky to invest in such a project and suddenly it pumps to such a level then be grateful, but one thing you shouldn't do is chase after such, you might end up losing than gaining to be honest.
I have seen some youtube influencers posting such videos about projects that can give xxx amount, @op perhaps you can check them out,  however, don't get your hopes up because they can very well be fake, do your due diligence on a project and be content with the profit you recieve.
677  Economy / Economics / Re: Is PayPal plannning to Launch of Own Stablecoin? on: January 15, 2022, 07:27:50 PM
A coin that will only be limited to PayPal platform I suppose, the idea of having their own stablecoin is not bad but the problem is it will only serve people using platform unlike the other stablecoins that can be used crosschain, well perhaps it will be a good thing
678  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: January 15, 2022, 07:16:47 PM
BTC works for you by increasing it's purchasing power over the years.

If you send your BTC to any company you're taking huge risks for very small gains. You could lose it all eventually.

Think long term, and keep your BTC in your own cold storage. You'll be way better off with less risks.

The reason why he created the topic to make inquiry if such opportunity exists where he can earn passively with his btc without handing them over to a third party or compromising his identity,  he is not ready to send his btc to anywhere,
From the look of things, the only way is to comply with the centralized way or just hold for a future price,  @op since privacy is much important I don't the little reward is worth it.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How Much $ Have You spent On Ethereum As Gas Fees on: January 14, 2022, 06:46:54 PM
I feel unsafe to connect about it so input an address to check is better. However it brings another issue: when you check your address, transactions with explorers or third-party sites, you reveal your privacy.

People who don't care about privacy, are free to use those websites to check transaction history. No worry at all.

The topic should have been, how to know how much you've spent on Ethereum gas fee' thanks for sharing but I don't think I want to know because it doesn't matter but I'm sure some people would care so thanks for sharing
Ethereum used to be attacked because of fee and people thought that if Ethereum can not resolve their expensive transaction fee, the coin can not grow more in price. In fact, Ethereum did not resolve it but it just makes a new all time high.

Binance Smart Chain is repeating what happened with ETH and ERC20 chain. They were launched and seriously shilled by CZ as a chain for cheap transactions. Now, it is becoming more expensive. Gamers in Play to Earn games on BSC are facing fear of expensive fee for each of their clicks.  Embarrassed

Bsc is not even close to what eth is charging as gas fees especially on erc20 tokens,  no need to sugar-coate it, the gas fees on ethereum network is high and that people are paying irrespective of the high gas is not mostly by choice, besides not even eth base airdrop is wort wasting such money on.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Is The Safest Meme Coin To Invest In? on: January 14, 2022, 06:39:28 PM
Safest would be dogecoin considering the amount of time this coin has been in existence compare to the recent ones we have in the market this days, dogecoin has been around for ages and has gain alot of trust from the community, anyone who wants to invest on it now should take note of the mcap and calculate how profitable will it be to buy at this point, and sure long-term wise, the dev will continue to develop the project and keep it active.
