Our solution for PR issues
*.....cut stuff*

The general principle of this PR appointment is to empower the Spokesman to exclusively represent the Core Developers in terms of publicity and to be the only outlet in terms of information disclosure. In this connection, the Spokesman will be publishing detailed PR guidelines from time to time for the parties involved to follow. Below sets out some of them and more will come:

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should neither propose any drastic changes to Bitshares nor speak of their ideas thereof on the forum until extensive research has been done properly, a firm resolution among the Core Developers has been made and the Spokesman grants clearance to the release of that proposal.

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should make no comment on any subject on the forum unless approved by and posted through the Spokesman. Bug reports and their discussion should take place on github.

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should not disclose sensitive information of potential partnerships, collaborations or arrangement with any other organization unless approved by and communicated through the Spokesman.

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should not air their internal discussions or debates on any open issue until all the underlying facts are ascertained, a well-founded conclusion has been drawn, and the Spokesman grants clearance to that disclosure.

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should never comment on any other crypto-currency or project on the forum unless approved by and posted through the Spokesman.

The Core Developers (including any member thereof individually) should not answer any question regarding Bitshares’ development or prospect or heed any request to predict anything about Bitshares or give forward-looking comments unless the relevant questions or requests are directed by the Spokesman to the Core Developers and the answers of the Core Developers are approved by and communicated through the Spokesman.

Always keep in mind that anything a Core Developer may say, no matter in the capacity of a Core Developer or a community member, will have potential impact on the market. It’s hard, if not impossible, to cure the damage that could caused.

I cannot f**king believe that someone has managed to come up with this BS, and I cannot believe that any crypto-community would accept this lying down (like good dogs...)

This is pure centralised corporatism.

So, now we have the Chinese Communists restricting the flow of information to the community with the Western Corporatists giving them the go ahead.  Talk about a perfect example of how there is ABSOLUTELY no difference between Communism and Corporatism.  This post got deleted because they're trying to cover their real agenda.

I like how Stan, Dan and the Bitshares' team attempts to portray themselves as Libertarians, but then the next thing you know, they're gagging everybody and hiring a PR firm to do all their talking for them.  Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought Libertarians believed in free speech.  What a complete joke.

I thought PR was Stan's job.  Does this mean Stan's getting fired?  Who decided to hire this PR firm?

This is a learning experience as a new form of human organizational structure takes form. You are right, BitShares IS a company. But one unlike the world has ever known.

You're wrong.  Bitshares is exactly like every other corporation.  Their name is legion.

Remember it isn't NXT vs. Bitshares

It is free, decentralized crypto vs corporatized crypto.

NXT free world vs Communist BitShares X

Last time when there was 101 delegates or so, the results weren't so good..

Quote
Delegates at this Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union

Why is Bitshares X trying to introduce much hated centralized State-Corporatism into the Blockchain technology?   Last time there was a delegate system, the leaders all had mansions and cars - while the masses had to line up for 10 hours to buy toilet paper..
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin GANGSTERS poll - who willl rot in prison for scam? on: March 01, 2015, 06:28:39 AM
OP,

Please add "Stan and Dan Larimer, the Bitshares' Gang and I3" for their insane scheme to get people to purchase non-redeemable, fake assets under the guise of it being "Safer than a Swiss Bank Account".

Thank you

+1

I laughed so hard reading this, would be hilarious if they did write that somewhere.  Safer than a Swiss bank account, ah hahahaha.   Cheesy

Why gang of I3?  Why not gang of four?   Grin

There will be a vote soon about branding.
Orange bird with flames = phoenix

I guess so...just seems that a phoenix is more of a mascot.

A mascot is cliche as it is associated with Doge.

Myself I would rather see new things tried, even if it might be a rehash of real world application.  NEM | MEN is a satire; but in some ways, it reinforces the demographic reality here of the current user base and trying to overlap blockchain with other male hobbies isn't the worst idea (one of the better ones) as guys already spend a disproportionate income on their hobbies like weight lifting, sport vehicles, beer, camping, et cetera.

Even a website like Facebook started as a very male centric website (it was originally a place where classmates were rating who was the hottest girl on campus).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Facebook#Facemash

Makoto1337 has expressed interest in starting a NEMrewery (brewery).  Very NEMly

Guys, what is the first thing you would be willing to sell for XEM?

XEM | MEX branding.  Imagine the potential here of using blockchain technology to sell loofahs and frozen chimichangas...

Was more a fan of the NEM | MEN branding.  NEM gymbags, NEM creatine, NEM protein powder, NEM car parts and assaults rifles...   Every real NEM likes fast cars and hot babes!

          NEM | MEN  (mirror reflection)

666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 04:25:18 AM
Why not just adopt more positive tactics of promoting NEM going forward? Let it stand on it's own. I know you hate Nxt and especially Come from Beyond but BTT is much better when we don't go around making unfounded claims with, presumably, damaging aims. And maybe NEM will benefit from a more positive campaign.

Lmao pointing out a coin is a scam (reputable developer Jeff Garzik said NXT is a scam) is not promotion for another coin, try again.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 03:57:12 AM
The evidence stands on its own, get someone to repeat the analysis

That's called a burden of proof and it is a logical fallacy.

Your data doesn't mean a thing because you couldn't find all the obvious sockpuppets that are posting on this forum everyday and it puts the conclusion into doubt.

Nah Nah..
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 03:39:48 AM

Shit just got real!  Shocked

Jeff Garzik:  Hashes do match
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 03:30:50 AM
Any proof of your wild accusations? You haven't provided any the last dozen or so times you have tried to make them stick  Grin Cheesy

Here is my proof:

1 is a perfect match, 0 is no match. You, Taunsew/UtopianFuture, are head and shoulders above all others and the only clear match out of 225 other BTT users. I have said it before and I'll say it again, you are either a moron or you think everybody reading your posts are  Cheesy Not only are you one of the biggest scammers in crypto but also a compulsive liar, UtopianFuture has already secured his place in history.

Here is the analysis with methodology for anyone who wants to see it for themselves, the image above is taken from it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jqbuuxg8aluhng/report.pdf

Taunsew/Utopianfuture, instead of trying to get NEM to the top by attacking others, why not promote its virtues? I'm sure more people reading this are likely to avoid NEM knowing that you, with your history of exploiting ordinary users, are involved. You're tactics show NEM in a terrible light. So you undermine all the effort many other people are putting into NEM trying to get it off the ground, which is a shame.

Lmao!   Something you just whipped up in paint in 2 minutes?  0.83 =/= 1.0, moran.    I'm surprised that you went through all the posts on Bitcointalk ("brb no life") and never found any clusters or anyone else who scored that high.  What does that say when this forum is full of sock puppets? .  Every day you see sock puppets post on this forum and you couldn't find them despite looking at thousands of accounts? Lmfao.   That's like failing to notice an elephant in the living room.

Proof of Beluga Caviar.

Dat u brah?!

670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 03:01:16 AM
BUSTED TAUNSEW/UTOPIANFUTURE!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You're the only scammer here, you must have made a lot from scamming the NEm community: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=649852.0

Lol UtopianFuture also Satoshi and BCnext  Shocked  Scam!

BTW that CFA / CFB guy is the most annoying troll on Bitcointalk, can't believe he walked away with $5 - $20 million from NXT.  NXT code was so bad that Picard had to rewrite it and still there's all these backdoors (Jeff Garzik hashes do not match, Klee losing 8 million NXT, 50 million theft from BTER, so many scams and thefts - probably  CFA / CFB buying more Beluga Caviar.  How much beluga caviar does his wife eat?   Huh Huh  ).

671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 01, 2015, 02:37:34 AM
Did anyone already say NXT ?

It's spelt NxT

Besides it's an outted scam

1000NXT to anyone who can find these youtube videos as they are presented here, I.e outing Nxt as a scam. go!  Cheesy

My money is safe as

1) after more than a year of continuous development producing gtound breaking software, it's not a scam

2) those are photoshopped images of the original videos  Cheesy Cheesy the top one is Taizen, who goes by the name Prisoner Or Freedom and talks about how Nxt isn't a scam... not that anyone but the most ill informed thinks it would be. Check it out for yourself here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3rIO_McRPwQ

Ssme story for the second video.

You're getting desperate Taunsew/Utopianfuture!! Cheesy  what is wrong, NEM release around the corner and you think it's gonna flop?

What a long boring wall of text.   Reeks of desperation.  These $hitocoin artists are trying to keep their scam alive as long as possible.  Beluga Caviar does not buy itself.  Proof of Beluga Caviar

673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency with the best distribution? on: March 01, 2015, 12:56:47 AM
Bitshares is probably the best example of the "best distribution", two guys (until proven otherwise) have this very successful masquerade of 101 delegates which nobody has ever seen or talked with in person and these delegates were acquired through websites they control.

674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: February 25, 2015, 12:03:14 AM
Finding the next big thing is already near impossible in life and now that bitcoin already exists, the probability of becoming an overnight millionaire by being an early adopter of another coin is near zero. I know people will say keep trying but I know in my heart bitcoin was my one and only way of becoming a millionaire in life and it was right under my nose.

I listen to this everyday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FjbEj6rmNg. It encapsulates my very real possibility of becoming very wealthy and my regret extremely well.

There's a lot more to life than becoming very wealthy, most of the rich people I know are chronically depressed.

A lottery winner brought a Rolls Royce, parked it outside the supermarket, and found someone had keyed the paintwork when he came back out. He advised other winners never to par their car anywhere public and expect it to be safe. Other lottery winners have said they got a lot of jealousy from people. No wonder most of the rich people you know are chronically depressed.

What rich people do you know unless you live in an elite condominium in Manhattan full of them?

Besides who cares about a keyed paintwork.  That's why you have 2 cars (or 12+ cars like a lot of lottery winners and/or rich people do) and can put them in the shop if one of the cars gets vandalized.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: February 24, 2015, 11:58:46 PM
Problem with Bitcoin can be all these get quick rich kids.  Bitcoin, according to Jeffrey Robinson, is only 250,000 users (and many wallets barely contain any sizable amounts) and yet has a capitalization it is already worth more than many companies around the world which have millions and tens of millions of customers.

That 250,000 figure might not be correct. The truth is we don't know exactly how many Bitcoin users there are but there are indications that the number is higher than 250,000. Freebitco.in has over 1 million accounts. Coinbase alone has over 2 million wallets despite only being available in 19 countries (and even less a few months ago). Since they also implement AML/KYC laws, it would be rather unlikely for users to have multiple wallets there. Blockchain.info has 3 million wallets.

I've seen estimates ranging from 250,000 to as high as 10 million:

Quote
Shalek, the Ribbit Capital partner, told the audience during the closing panel:

"Bitcoin has this promise of enabling innovation. There are already 10 million people or more using bitcoin."

Link: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-stellar-sidechains-feature-future-money-summit/

The true number is probably somewhere in between the two extremes.

Jeffrey Robinson is an objective source and he came to that analysis based on market activity and other documents.  Your source comes from a company which had every intention to inflate (exaggerate and even lie) to command a premium for their IPO.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: February 24, 2015, 11:56:54 PM
I've read allegations that if Dread Pirates and Charlie Shrem were "hodl", instead of selling early and then getting into illegal activity, that they would had made way more money and they wouldn't be behind bars today.

Both Shrem and Ulbrict were doing ok with their money and were earning much more running their businesses whether legal or ilegitimate. Shrem was actually running a legit business but just got caught up in the bad side of it. I'd say there's far more money to be made from bitcoin yet so it would be a good idea to set up a business to aquire as many coins as you can for the future as bitcoin today could be worth peanuts compared to its potential future value.

No they weren't.  Both had many tens of thousands of Bitcoins and back when Bitcoin was $1000 that would had been way more money than they were collecting (themselves personally) running their businesses.  Sure a lot of money went through their two organization but that wasn't their money and it doesn't compared to the prospect if, they were hodl, having $30+ million in the bank.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT WILL PREVAIL! on: February 24, 2015, 05:03:30 PM
Hashes do not match.  It's probably a NXT whale engaging in Federal Reserve-styled bail in's and they'll cash out shortly.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin takeover? on: February 24, 2015, 05:02:19 PM
Sounds like OP is bagholding some worthless shit and needs to peddle it on newbs.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else have a feeling NXT is about to explode? on: February 24, 2015, 04:59:29 PM
The only reason why NXT doesn't move is because it's under promoted, community should be doing more to get members in. We don't even have a NXT thread on Bitcointalk. Someone should make one.

Jeff Garzik said NXT is a scam and there is a probable backdoor.  Proof of Beluga Caviar.
