Nope because it doesn't change the problem that the Dev just instantly created ALL the coins like a GOD and gave them to himself and his entire business team and then convinced all you gullible yaps to pay him for his digital bits.  Hopefully I will help 1 person not fall for this scam and every other POS scam coin that follows this one.   The dilution is infinite with all these coins.

I was going to invest in Nxt until I saw your insightful posts, all I have to say is thank you.  I will now go buy $30k of mining equiment and mine dark coin.  Thank you for changing my life.

You can love the tech and still hate the distribution.  The tech is easily copyable, it's not like Nxt has any sort of significant market share or user base yet.  Right now I see the tech as interesting but the whole IPO process is really dodgy especially since the guy who created it has run off.

So would you rather see an IPO that raises $3Mil in 24 hours like Maidsafe?  To me all large IPO's are very dodgy.  Most Cryptos are all about IPO profit, which they disguise as "Fair Distribution"  It's all a bunch of bullshit.  Nxt IPO lasted two months where anyone could have invested, the total amount was 21 BTC.  There was no founder distribution, all Nxt went to BTT users (like you and me) that had invested in Nxt.  These people weren't insiders or founders.  They were lucky to invest, and obviously it would have been nice to have more than 72 people invest, but that was all that were willing to invest at the time.  People were too cautious to invest and then complain that distribution wasn't good.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 09, 2014, 03:42:47 PM
At the top level you have the founders and then on the second level 5 months later you have the first few thousand adopters all receiving coins form the founders.

Other than BCNext, there are no founders of Nxt.  There are stakeholders that are BTT members like you and me, who invested early in Nxt.  But unlike most crypto's, there isn't a founder/developer group that holds >50% of the crypto.  Stakeholders have been distributing since day one, and they will continue to distribute, especially when there are means to beyond commercial exchanges.

there will be so many awesome things coming to reality in 1 month

I almost can't believe it!

Yes, there is going to be many really big feature released starting with AE and continuing through the end of the year.  Lots to be excited about.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 08, 2014, 03:01:24 PM
Q regarding aliases and AE: are registered aliases valid for the AE? In other words, if I registered an alias, say "google", on the alias system, and when AE is launched and someone tries to register an asset "google" will it be allowed? My best guess is that since "google" is already registered and validated on the blockchain, "google" will  not be allowed on the AE.

Anyone know?

You can even issue an asset "google" if the same asset name already exists. No motivation for name squatters anymore. Only Asset ID is unique.

Hmm, ok, that's clear. Makes sense and for the better. Otherwise, the AE would turn into a huge clusterf%*k.

So what about trading aliases then. I read in the wiki this may be a go. Is trading going to be possible in the near future?

Yes, it being worked on as we speak and should be available soon.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 07, 2014, 05:40:19 PM

I agree, if they release something working it will be easy to raise tens of million$ from VC instead of in BTC community.

No it wouldn't, it's not easy to raise any money from VC's, and if Maidsafe had something working they wouldn't need to raise any money.  I only invest in coins that have beta released.  You will learn about the competitors soon enough.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 07, 2014, 05:26:47 PM
In fact,  a lot more than $3 million has already been burned over the 8 years of software development for this coin.

If this is true, I would sell all my safecoin immediately.

It's been said, repeatedly, that the MaidSafe guys have previously received funds invested from "friends and family" for past development work on this project, which is what I am assuming this refers to.  And provision has been made for "rewarding" these early alpha-stage investors, seed-capital supporters, in the current coin structure, which seems appropriate to me.

Nothing to do with budget, if you are developing something for 8 years with nothing released, then you should be worried.  I guess with $6mil now, they can keep going for another 16 years!  I personally know of 3 legitimate Maidsafe competitors that will have working products in the next 6 months.  I hope Maidsafe can beat that time frame.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 07, 2014, 05:21:53 PM

Bravo!  Enough of the whining and the scamming and let's get down to business!

Bravo what?  These guys have raised $6mil, so I think it's only fair they are subjected to tough questions.  In the real world, if you want to raise $6mil, you are going to be vetted thoroughly.  Instead, this guy is censoring his "forum" so all you will see if cheerleader comments like this.  Lame.

So when the Asset Exchange will finaly be there, what then? NXT to da m00n?

Probably not right away, we need some important add-on features released before seeing a huge spike.  But it will definitely get some more people interested and will be really fun to see what people do with it.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [BuyMaid.com] New prices! Buy MaidSafecoins [MSAFE] on: May 04, 2014, 02:23:29 PM
Can you please clarify something for me.  There will be 4.3Bil total Safecoin?  At 17k MSAFE for 1BTC we are buying MSAFE at a $109Mil marketcap?  Just want to make sure I have the #'s right.

10% will be available for investors. 430M MaidSafeCoin.

Doesn't answer my question, you are currently selling Safecoin at a $109mil market cap if you consider total # of coins.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 02, 2014, 05:23:02 PM
As a BTC investor i effectively paid a premium for my MSAFE but i'm in this for the long term so agree with biggzi and others that people need to move on but if there's going to a long term the development team need to become a lot more commercially aware.
We have about 5 loud mouth idiots screaming and crying.  MaidSafe can't spend their day trying to explain things to them.  The funds are a bit short.  Time to work to move forward and get the MaidSafe network running on the money they have.  Looking back and trying to appease that idiot ChungDungHum is the only threat to a very successful MaidSafe network.

When the BTC investors have 10X on their money, they will be a little more satisfied.  The MSC investors better find a way to return their ill gotton profits back to the Mastercoin community / foundation.

Let's face it, the guys selling their MaidSafe today are the MSC whale trying to realize their profits and convert them to BTC.  This bullshit has to stop.  MaidSafe price, if the IPO went cleanly would probably be somewhere around .0006 by now and everyone would be very happy.

The MSC whale sell off is killing MaidSafe and Mastercoin.  Stop it now.  The MSC whales should suck it up and buy MaidSafe on the open market.

The MSC sell off is coming from China, and is a direct result of your insults.

Creating client diversity is important. Smiley

Yes, but 95% of users will continue to use the "official" client that is released by JL.  Perhaps we can have an sdk release for Wesleyh's client, so that developers can build additional features for his client, much easier than building a brand new client.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 01, 2014, 04:20:33 PM
Hey, Damelon, remove the clients from the OP that are not getting updated for NQT. I have not seen any evidence that NxtSolaris is getting updated. marcus has been inactive for 2 weeks

Done, I was wondering about it myself, but I like Solaris.
I hope marcus will return Sad

Edit: ffs, came back and say farl had already made a new one for me to post Smiley
Still edited Solaris out!

He may have given up since Wesleyh's client is now in the official launch queue.  I think if other clients add new features then they will be worth developing, otherwise most people won't adopt.  I'd still like to see an IRC tab in the client so we can discuss topics within client.
