Early goal by ManU and an equalizer by Foden. It was 1-1 for quite a time. Manchester City attacking and Manchester United defending. It looked like ManU would be able to make it a draw. But with consistent attacks and Foden was able to give Manchester City at the 80th minute and with the Haaland converting a good assist to a goal in the injury time.
The game now ended as expected Manchester City getting the full points on Manchester Derby and Remaining unbeaten against ManU this season. And more importantly keeping a close race with Liverpool for the title.
It's one thing to score an early goal when you're playing against a big team like Manchester and absolutely a different thing to protect the lead till the end of the game or even add more goals to the match. Manchester United were able to take the lead inside the opening ten minutes of their English Premier League game against English, European and World champions Manchester City and were even able to protect that lead till the end of the first half of the game but failed to put out a good performance that'll see them win the game in the second. The performance of Manchester United in the second half of their game against Manchester City was absolutely poor from a big club like United and that was why they were outclassed by Manchester City who emphatically defeated Manchester United by scoring three unreplied goals in the second half of the game to come from behind to claim all three points and reduce their points difference behind league leaders Liverpool to just one point.

Phil Foden was the man who inspired Manchester City to come back into the game. Before the game, I was of the opinion that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will make the difference but despite scoring after Manchester United defense made a huge error very late in the game, the Norwegian wasn't the player of the match as he skied the ball when he had only the goal post to beat from less than five yards. The possibility of Manchester United finishing the season in the top four this season I think is almost impossible considering their current position and recent performances.

Chelsea are said to be back in the transfer hunt for Victor Osimhen, but Napoli will only sell if a “very big” release clause is triggered.
Osimhen signed a one-year extension to his current contract in December, taking him through to 2026. Those terms are said to include a £113 million ($143m) release clause, with Chelsea being made aware that he will take an offer of that size in order to acquire another proven No.9.
Source: https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/revealed-how-much-victor-osimhen-transfer-cost-chelsea-napoli-confirm-very-big-release-clause

Looks like whoever wants to get Victor Osimhen will have to spend a lot of money to get him.
And the question is who is ready to spend that much money?

Chelsea should actually think about changing the coach before bringing in any more players, to be honest. And changing the coach to bring in a better coach lot someone average or someone like the one that they already have. If they do not change the management, it is not going to make sense if they bring in Victor Osimhen. And let's also remember PSG can throw as much money as Napoli wants. Does Chelsea actually have that luxury?

Chelsea could sign Osimhen next season. They have paid record transfer fees in the last 2 seasons. They can also pay 143 million dollars for Osimhen. However, Osimhen's performance this season has question marks. Of course, I still think Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world right now, but this season he hasn't fully proven himself. He might not perform very well at Chelsea. He might not be Chelsea's new Drogba.
Financially speaking, I think Chelsea possesses the financial strength to sign any top footballer of their choice in Europe and that's because of the financial power of their current owner Todd Boehly. Osimhen as we all know is one of the hottest strikers in Europe and just like other big European clubs, Chelsea is rumoured to be one of the few clubs that are trying to secure the services of the Nigeria international in the up coming summer transfer window but the big question if you ask me is will Victor Osimhen accept to join the English Premier League club this summer?

Fir a player that's been participating in the UEFA Champions League competition in the last two seasons and have seen how important the match days in the UEFA Champions League are, I don't think Victor Osimhen will want to leave Napoli and go to a club that'll not guarantee him European Cup football and considering the performance of Chelsea this season as well as their current position in the English Premier League table, it's almost impossible for them to finish in the top four of the league table at the end of the season which will automatically guarantee them UCL football next season.

Paris Saint Germaine and Arsenal are the other two clubs that's been rumoured to be interested in signing Victor Osimhen at the end of the season and because the two clubs are definitely going to play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season, I think they stand a better chance of winning the heart of the Nigeria striker ahead of Chelsea. That being said, Victor Osimhen have publicly said that he started supporting Chelsea when he was still a little child growing up in the streets of Nigeria and that I think gives Chelsea a chance to sign him

With how great Leverkusen is going these days, it would make sense to bet a bit on them to win it all. I am not saying that they will, but I am saying that it could be a possibility.

Liverpool definite has a high chance to win, I am saying Leverkusen has one too. If you really want to, you can do 50% both of them and then you will watch as they lose to some smaller club and regret lol. But jokes aside, I think it is clear that they are both 2.00+ so that means if you bet on both of them, unless they both lose, they should be doing fine. I am 99% sure that one of them will win, so it should be quite possible for them to do well. This bet definitely looks profitable enough to give it a test, I will definitely go do that now.
I think you will be lucky and win the bet, because the club you choose has been very consistent so far. Liverpool and Leverkusen are the ideal teams to meet in the final, where Milan is one of the teams that has the potential to disrupt the dominance of the top two teams. In my opinion, Roma also has a chance, but many people still have doubts about De Rossi performance. Apart from all that, we will first see how the round of 16 will go, where the matches will start in the middle of this week. The opening match will be played by Sporting against Atalanta, two teams that are not included in the favorites list. Even though Atalanta plays in a more competitive domestic league, I feel victory will go to Sporting.
I've been able to see the performance of many of the clubs that's still participating in the UEFA Europa League both in the competition and in their respective leagues and I can authoritatively say that Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool are the most impressive of all the teams. Those two clubs have been incredibly impressive with their performances and are currently leading the league standings in their respective leagues and if you ask me, I think one of them is definitely going to win the competition at the end of the season.

Roma who is currently managed Daniele De Rossi have also been impressive after significantly improving their performance under their current boss. Because of Roma's current performance since their current manager took over the managerial position at the club, many people are already backing them to win the UEFA Europa League competition but I don't think they're in the same category with either of Bayer Leverkusen or Liverpool and should Roma meet aby of them, i think they're going to be beaten.

Despite naming these three clubs as the supposed best teams in the UEFA Europa League competition, it still doesn't stop any of the other teams to pull a surprise to win the competition at the end of the season and I also think that AC Milan who's very experienced when it comes to European competition also possess all it takes to win the competition at the end of the season despite not being considered by many as favorites for the Europa League trophy

Funny how since Mbappe is known for leaving in the summer for Real , PSG are 2 draws in a row and the title fight is kinda back online with Brest being 9 points behind them but I doubt anyone can catch PSG.
When speculation continues to hit about the departure of their star then usually the club will be disrupted and eventually affect club performance, as is the case with Mbappe at this time who continues to be linked and confirmed to leave for Madrid next season, especially reportedly if now Mbappe has reached a personal agreement with Madrid to join Los Galaticos next season, but strangely somehow Luis Enrique still plays Mbappe as the spearhead of PSG and give capten position for him even though if we see if Mbappe no longer plays all out and tends to play casually to avoid injury in the match,  After Mbappe decision to leave, it does seem to affect PSG attacking power at the moment and even I think PSG will perform better if Mbappe is no longer played this season.

If you notice that in PSG last two matches that ended in draws, Mbappe average performance and statistics were below 7, and isn't that very rare to happen when Mbappe has not decided to leave?
Honestly, I suspect that this was deliberately done by Mbappe at the urging of Madrid so that at least Mbappe could join Madrid later in top condition without any injuries that plagued him.
I don't want to believe that it is because of the fact that Kylian Mbappe announced that he's going to leave Paris Saint Germaine at the end of the season that Paris Saint Germaine are currently struggling to win games rather I'll blame the club manager for his recent tactical approaches especially in the club's last two league games. The fact that Kylian Mbappe have announced that he's going to leave the club at the end of the season shouldn't be the reason why he should always be subbing him off when he's not complaining of fatigue just because he wants his team to start learning how to play without Mbappe. Paris Saint Germaine still have a long way to go if they really want to have a great season in not just the French league but also in the UEFA Champions League competition and the more he tries to make Mbappe look more like a player who's not treated with the same respect he was getting when he hasn't announced his departure from the club in the summer the more the player reduces how he performs for the club.

Kylian Mbappe as we all know is one player that's capable of deciding games and despite the fact that he's going to leave Paris Saint Germaine at the end of the season, I think he's still committed to helping the club achieve every possible achievement they can get this season including winning the UEFA Champions League and must be given the chance to deliver his best for the club before his departure in the summer. Luis Enrique must understand that he has all the time in the world to rebuild a Paris Saint Germaine team to without Kylian Mbappe but that will be when he finally leaves the club and not now that he's still very much playing for the club
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 03, 2024, 06:58:21 PM
An exciting and tense match is currently underway, two strong teams in Serie A are fighting for the 4th position in the Serie A standings, when I started watching, the match had entered the 42nd minute and the match between Atlanta and Bologna could be my alternative to watch because it did look quite exciting and balanced after previously enjoying the Premier League match between City and United,  At the moment I see both teams playing quite impressively and Bologna who are 1 goal behind try to keep applying pressure when to catch up with them when the first half match is about to end.

The first half has ended temporarily with the advantage of Atlanta, I don't see how the process of the goal happened but in my opinion at this time Atlanta actually has a better chance to seize the 4th place which was previously controlled by Bologna, although one goal is not certain to be the final result of the game but at least the Atlanta players can now be more motivated and put pressure on Bologna.
It's quite interesting to see the current competition between Bologna and Atlanta who are trying hard to qualify for the Champions League and honestly I am very curious about what will happen in the second half, will Atlanta be able to add to their lead or will Bologna be willing to give 4th place to Atlanta?
The battle for who finishes in the top four of the Italian Serie A at the end of the season have just gotten more fierce and considering the recent performances and results of the fourth, fifth and the sixth teams in the Italian Serie A standings, I think the battle is going to last till the last day of the league table. Yesterday, Roma convincingly defeated their hosts Monza in their league game to increase their chances of catching up with Bologna.

Roma new manager Daniele De Rossi have significantly improved the performance of Roma since he took over the managerial position at the club he is regarded as one of their legends. With yesterday's result, Roma who were initially written off to finish the season in the top four of the league table are now considered as a strong contender for the top four finish position at the end of the season.

The game between six the placed Atalanta and fourth placed Bologna just with the away team Bologna coming from a goal down to defeat their hosts Atalanta and and further extend their points difference ahead of fifth placed Roma to four points. It was Ademola Lookman who put the hosts ahead in the first half of the game but Bologna's Zirkzee converted from the penalty spot on the 57th minute before Lewis Ferguson struck four minutes later to hand Bologna the win that ensured they left Atalanta with all three points. For someone who have been following the Italian Serie A for a very long time, I think it'll be very difficult for Bologna to continue with their current impressive performances but that doesn't mean that they can't hang on and finish in the top four at the end of the season
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 03, 2024, 06:40:05 PM
Bayern Munich fell far behind in the race with Leverkusen and the main problem in this is Tuchel, who got what he wanted but could not get the desired results. Bayern even transferred Harry Kane for Thomas Tuchel. While they could have made this transfer for free at the end of the season, they now spent 100 million Euros on him. In return, they still could not gain the leadership. Bayern must decide who to continue with next year.
Yeb they are far behind Leverkusen and i have no problem with that to be honest.
To say that the main problem is Tuchel is not right and i guess that there is something in the team maybe between players that causes the problem.
Also i am happy to see that Leverkusen is leading already with 1 scored goal against Cologne and Cologne got a red card again , damn.

Although this season it is certain that Bayern Munich failed to get the Bundesliga trophy, but I personally will not blame all the failures on Tuchel. Because after all, basically Bayern Munich has experienced a decline in performance as well since Lewandowski departure and in fact, last season also Bayern Munich almost failed to get the Bundesliga trophy. So yes, basically Bayern Munich has lost its glory era, because other teams have also managed to develop ofcourse to be better in the title race. After all, the fact is that Bayern Munich have also stated that Tuchel contract will be terminated at the end of this season. Therefore, let's just look forward to who is the head coach of Bayern Munich next season, whether it will succeed in making Bayern Munich return to dominate the Bundesliga or will still fail.
Bayern Munich who I thought will easily clinch the German Bundesliga title this season after signed Harry Kane last summer have been surprisingly disappointing and that I think the club manager Thomas Tuchel is supposed to be held accountable for the club's poor performance this season. After Robert Lewandowski left the club two summers ago to join Spanish giants Barcelona, I thought that Bayern Munich will not be able to win a major trophy last season since they failed to sign a capable replacement for the Polish striker but Bayern Munich on the last day of last season, delivered an incredible performance to win the league after Borussia Dortmund failed to win their last league game of the season. So if Bayern Munich can do that last season, why do you think that their current poor results is caused by the departure of Robert Lewandowski after the club signed a world class striker like Harry Kane who have been able to score more league goals than any footballer in any of the top five leagues in Europe.

Today, Bayer Leverkusen who happens to be Bayern Munich's greatest rivals this season won their German league game against Koln to extend their lead at the top of the table to intimidating 10 points difference while also maintaining their unbeaten run in the league since the start of the season. Xabi Alonso is desperate to make sure he ends Bayern Munich 11 years dominance of the German league and considering how impressive his Bayer Leverkusen team have been all season, I think it's absolutely okay to say that they're going to win the German league title at the end of the season.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 03, 2024, 06:25:53 PM
It's clear from the games Girona have brought with their current form, and although Girona have regressed slightly and are no longer at the top of the table, when compared to Mallorca it's certainly a far cry overall, Mallorca are not a big money obstacle for Girona in my opinion, it will be an easy game for Girona, I don't mean to underestimate Mallorca but either way we need to think realistically with the circumstances of both teams, and yes the ball is round, I don't deny it, maybe luck can be had in the match against Girona, it can happen.

Well, I also agree that Girona should not underestimate Mallorca. Because we have seen a lot of weaker teams win against bigger teams just because the bigger team underestimated the smaller one. In their last meetup, Mallorca won 6 times and Girona managed to win 5 times. So I don't think they should underestimate their opponent. But at the same time, they should not get anything less than three points.

Actually, Girona will be motivated to win this match. Because they have to, so that they can stay ahead of Barcelona. But I have a feeling that Barcelona might actually catch up and overtake Girona.
So far the match is running, mallorca vs Girona is still running with a draw score, and the match is quite pressing Mallorca in terms of ball possession, but the shots are still controlled by Mallorca, it shows that mallorca can still penetrate the Girona defense even though only one shot towards the Barcelona goal.

Girona are still looking for gaps in the weaknesses built by Michel, maybe we will see Girona get a goal at the end of the first half, or maybe vice versa if there are mistakes made by the Girona team. I don't want this match to end with a draw and maybe even a defeat for Girona, and that will make it easier for Barcelona to compete again with Real Madrid at the top of the standings.
The Spanish La Liga game between Mallorca and Girona is in the final minutes of the first half and Mallorca are currently leading in by a goal to nil against the second most consistent team in the Spanish league this season. The home team took the lead in the 33rd minute of the game and are still trying to stop their visitors from equalizing while trying to device a means to double the lead. Girona must make sure they turn things around in this game and win it if they really want to remain in good position to continue their title chase this season. However, it's obvious that the home team would not allow Girona to claim all three points from the game but that doesn't mean that Girona aren't capable of coming back into the game.

The drama is still in the final seconds, I really don't understand the meaning of the referee in this match regarding the decision to end the match. This is the first time I have seen such a situation arise, we always know that the referee is on the field to bring fairness but the way he created it was unfair on Real's part, even though the match was fair. In this match, Real also did not seem to play well, but I believe this is an unfair and unconvincing result because they were actually deprived of victory by the referee. The controversy will continue over the referee's behavior.
The officiating in La Liga is surprising more and more. It is certainly not often seen, when the referee stops an attack with a whistle right before the goal, while before the goal was literally a second or two, as if the referee blew the whistle when he saw that the attack could end in a goal. In general, in the end I think it was necessary to give a penalty in Real's goal, when a Real player instead of the ball hit the legs of a Valencia player, but the referee did not give a penalty and maybe after this mistake he decided that it was necessary to help Valencia and in the last seconds deprived Real of a deserved victory.
The match was full of controversy due to the leadership of referee Gil Manzano who blew the long whistle waiting for Brahim's cross to fly in the air first. He should have blown the whistle to signal the end of the match when Brahim dribbled the ball to the side, not when the ball was flying. Of course, this referee's decision was very detrimental to Real Madrid, especially as Jude also received a red card for protesting. The referee's leadership in this match needs to be observed, why not cheat the whistle from the start when the ball went wide to Valencia's left side. He blew his whistle when the ball was crossed and the referee seemed to realize that Rael Madrid was going to score, so he blew it.

From this controversial match, it means that Real Madrid has experienced something similar twice this season and Jude Bellingham's goal was disallowed by the referee. The first was against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and the second was against Valencia at the Mestalla. So from these two matches Real Madrid should have got 6 points but Real Madrid had to be satisfied with two points because of the referee's decision.
Yesterday in the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid came from two goals down to draw their game against Valencia at the Mestalla stadium but the talking point of the game was what happened in the last minute of the game after the referee of the match Gil Manzano blew the final whistle just before Jude Bellingham scored what would've been the winner. Real Madrid players were furious with the referee's decision and was all over him protesting for what they thought was unfair to them but Bellingham took it more personal with his gestures towards the referee and had to receive a straight Red Card in that game. Despite the result, I'm still very optimistic that Real Madrid are going to win the Spanish La Liga at the end of the current season.

Exactly, I don't think that United will be able to withstand the pressure that City is mounting on them in the second half, because there will be substitions and that might put a difference in the game for City, so that they will be able to break the deadlock. United is very lucky in the first half.
The second half of the match has started and Manchester City just equalised in the second half of the match. The pressure is kind of high on Manchester United. I am still expecting more goals from Manchester City in the match. The only luck that Manchester United had was the goal that they scored in the first half of the match. I am still having confidence in Manchester City to win the match. We are just in 60+ minutes. Let’s see how the two clubs are going to perform, but I know Manchester City will want to do everything possible to win the match because they will want to maintain their second position.
It has been a spectacular game between Manchester United and Manchester United. Manchester United got an early goal which made them to sit back deep in their own half. But Manchester United has not really been that convincing since scoring that goal. Manchester City has been pressing them so high in this game. The way Manchester United is playing looks like they will be comfortable with a draw in this game, but I don't think Manchester City will allow that.
What a pity for United as they conceded 3 goals in the second half. It was clear from the first half that City will win the match due to the way they were mounting pressure in United box.

Foden scored two goals, and Haaland wrapped it up with a brilliant goal on the 90+1 minutes to make it 3-1.
As far as I'm concerned, Manchester United is no longer a top English Premier League club again and considering their second half performance in their league game against Manchester City this evening, I don't think there's anyone who'll disagree with my opinion about the red devils. After Marcus Rashford scored in the 8th minute of the game, I was of the opinion that Manchester United are going to get something out of the match but like did I know that they were going to be absolutely awful in the second of such a crucial game. I don't know what Erik ten Hag told his boys at halftime but I'm sure that it's either he failed to give them the best tactical advice going into the second half of the game or the club players simply failed to do what they were told at halftime.

Manchester City dominated the second half and played more like a team who really needed all three points from the game but how Manchester United allowed Pep Guardiola's City to press them like an average team was totally embarrassing for a big traditional club like United. Before today's game, I was of the opinion that Manchester United were finally on the right track to finish the season in the top four but after today's results, I  now think their best finish in the league this season will be finishing in the sixth position of the English Premier League table.

With the win today, Manchester City have reduced their points difference behind league leaders Liverpool to just one point and have increased their chances of overtaking the Reds in the English Premier League table later on this season. Arsenal who are also very much in contention to win the English Premier League table this season must win their game tomorrow to still remain in the race.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 02, 2024, 11:55:46 PM
This round only shows until now what all the people think before and this is, the only two serious contender are Real Madrid and Manchester city, like the past year, i dont see any other team in that level, maybe Inter again, but i dont think they can beat Manchester City or Real Madrid in a head to head.
Last year City were the only favorites for the title and unfortunately they were able to win it (although their victory in the final looked unconvincing), Real and Bayern did not have a serious attack, one could say that the clubs were understaffed. This year, everyone thought that the title would be played by the trio of Real, Bayern and City, but Bayern, judging by the results, still has not come out of the crisis. Besides Inter, it seems to me that Arsenal have a good chance (it’s not for nothing that bookmakers currently rate them higher than Bayern). And although they have a bad record in head-to-head games with City, I think they can knock them out this year.

Bayern Munich are no longer considered favorites for this season's Champions League title. The team has a lot of problems within the squad. And now their performance is erratic. With such erratic performances, it is difficult to survive in the Champions League.
Inter Milan, PSG and Arsenal cannot be considered weak teams. However, PSG team is not considered by many as favourites. PSG did not perform well in the group stage matches either. But now PSG's performance is good enough.
I would say the favorites for the title are Real Madrid and Manchester City. Both the teams have strong squads and have continued to dominate the Champions League platform consistently.

Exactly since the beginning of the round 16, that is when I believe Bayern Munich can't win the Champions League trophy, look how they are playing in the league, you will know that even the Bundesliga they can't carry the trophy, in my opinion they should just sack Tuchel like they do him in Chelsea, I think Tuchel will help the club to achieve their goal, but unfortunately he can't help the team, even the last trophy in carry for the club is just a lucky because is not Every season, Madrid or Manchester City will consider winning the trophy, because it is only them that have strong talented players in a club and he will be very hard if is not real madrid will win the Champions League this time. since Manchester City have win last season he can't be possible for them to win this time again.
Considering the current performance of Bayern Munich, I think it's understandable when someone says they're not strong enough to win the UEFA Champions League title this season but totally writing them off at this time of the season I think is absolutely disrespectful to Bayern Munich as a club and their manager as an individual. Bayern Munich I think has all it takes to improve their performance and form which might likely make them lift the UEFA Champions League title at the end of the season. Last season, they were humiliated by Manchester City in the UCL but I don't think such embarrassing result is gonna happen this season because as we all know, Bayern Munich signed a very deadly striker last summer and since he arrived Munich, the new striker have been scoring a lot of goals. The striker is Harry Kane who has been able to play in the UEFA Champions League final once in his entire career and would do anything possible to help his current team reach the final.

I don't want conclude that Bayern Munich will at least reach the semi final of the competition but I'm definitely gonna bank on them to reach the quarter finals by bettering Lazio's first leg win their round of 16 tie. Football as we know is always full of surprises but I don't think Lazio will be able to pull that huge surprise of eliminating Bayern Munich from the UEFA Champions League competition this season. If there's any time that Thomas Tuchel will stand up and prove himself while shaming his critics, I think this is that awaited moment.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 02, 2024, 11:39:21 PM
I think Darwin Núñez literally saved his team and when they were very close to losing two important points in this game he scored the goal in 90+9' and changed the result in the last minutes of the game.
However, I don't think if the fans of Liverpool are still happy with their player Darwin Núñez because when he joined Liverpool he was the top scorer and for one season he was really in the bad form and had many mistakes but this goal was life-saving for him and his team.

Jurgen Klopp have plans to meet up this season before finally leaving the club at the end of the season. There are hurdles on the way, he just have to figure ways to patch them because he's not going to bend over for them, instead he will craves for the best results for his club. I'm starting to like the pattern of Jurgen Klopp, he's using young players to substitute the key ones in the second half, because he's building them up for the top tasks ahead in the nearest future.

Darwin Núñez have been so unlucky when it comes to netting goals for Liverpool, if he's given 10 clear goal scoring chances, don't be surprised he will missed out on 7 chances and nets only 1 while the remaining 2 shots will hits the woodwork, we know his style of play. Darwin Núñez scored the winning goal to secure the three winning points against Nottingham Forest. It was an important winning for Liverpool because they're topping #1 on the EPL table and not the moment for the Reds to dropped points.

As a manager that's managed a top English Premier League club like Liverpool in the past nine years, it's no longer news that Jurgen Klopp will leave the Liverpool at the end of the season. The German manager wants to make sure he leaves the club on a high by winning as many trophies as possible this season for the club which the English Premier League title is at the top of his list. Last week Sunday, Liverpool defeated Chelsea to win the Carabao Cup but because the trophy isn't Liverpool's priority this season, they're still hunting for the English Premier League trophy. Liverpool against Nottingham Forest was actually a very difficult game for Jurgen Klopp's men as they struggled to find a win in that game. Darwin Nunez who scored the last minute goal of the game came from the bench to help his side win that particular game ahd grab all three points to extend their lead at the top of the table.

It's nothing new if in the end Chelsea couldn't win and they were quite overwhelmed against Brentford. The match ended in a draw without a winner and this further clarified the Blues' status as a mediocre EPL team. It won't take long for us to see Pochettino fired in the near future.
So I am not the only one thinking Pochettino will soon be fired. I don’t see any difference in Chelsea's performance last season, and this season, their performance has remained the same. I don’t know why Chelsea haven’t fired Pochettino yet, he has been given enough time, and there has been no improvement in Chelsea's performance. It’s high time Chelsea get a new manager, and I don’t think they will be able to achieve anything even if they leave Pochettino. I don’t just know why Chelsea are finding it difficult to climb above 10th position on the table, Chelsea have been maintaining 10th and 11th positions since, which is really bad, a club like Chelsea is not supposed to be in that position.
I think Chelsea already know this about Pochettino but why he still hasn't been fired maybe because he is still under a long contract if he is fired then Chelsea must pay compensation to Pochettino and finding a new coach is not easy it takes accuracy in order to change Chelsea's current situation.

Maybe Pochettino will be retained until the end of the season because even if by changing the new coach it will not change Chelsea's situation because their position is too far away to get tickets to European competition and after this season ends maybe Chelsea will do a lot of reshuffling then this is not a little money that Chelsea must provide.
I have a big question.
My big question is; when will Chelsea as a football club and her fans understand that the problem of Chelsea is not coaching? I do not want to believe that;
  • Thomas Tuchel is a bad coach
  • Graham Potter is also a bad coach
  • Lampard also a bad coach
  • Now Pochetino is a bad coach
How can all the coaches be bad. The situation of Chelsea is just a pointer that something is wrong somewhere and if that is not solved, Chelsea will keep struggling.

I am just surprised that Chelsea couldn't have a win over a poor form Brentford. This is so bad that it means that Chelsea is not confident of winning any team in English Premier League except Kompany's Burnley.

Personally I think Chelsea's main problem is their management. And if you notice, Chelsea's misery started after the change of management. The message should not only blame the coach. We will not see the good condition of Chelsea if the internal conflict of their management is not resolved.

I don't want to go into the argument that Thomas Tuchel is a bad coach or a good coach. But Thomas Tuchel was successful with Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel helped Chelsea win the Champions League despite being a mediocre team. I don't understand why Chelsea management sacked such a successful coach.

However, I would say Chelsea definitely need an experienced coach. Next season Chelsea management will probably decide to sack Pochettin as well. But rather than just sacking the coach, the Chelsea management should take the necessary steps to stabilize their squad.
A lot of people have said that Chelsea's main problem is the management because their poor form started after the club's former owner Roman Abramovic was forced to leave the ownership of the club by the UK government. The current Chelsea owner Todd Boehly if you ask me have done exceptionally well to help the team come back to their winning ways by signing high profile players to the club as well as hiring good managers but unfortunately for him, the club are still suffering. I think Chelsea's problem is the manager and not the club management

Hi Bundesligans!
What's happening with the league, especially as it concerns Xavi Alonso and his Bayern Leverkusen. Has he continued to sustain the success? I am aware that Xavi and his boys are doing great in the Europa league but that's not just my concern. I am so concerned about the Bundesliga. I wouldn't want Munich to snatch the title at the eleventh hour again this season. I will just check out the table to be updated.

Recently I have been hearing Alonso as a potential replacement of Jürgen Klopp. This is a very big fit for him. Who would have thought Xavi Alonso will make a better coach than Lampard?

Edit:
What?
7 points above the might Bayern Munich and still has 1 out standing match.

I would not want to see someone putting lots of hardwork Into his craft and whatever he does finally getting denied or robbed of whatever fortune his/ her got
Xabi Alonso and these players have worked hard and it's time to see them shine. Leapfrogging Bayern Leverkusen will be difficult, you'll have to see Bayern Munich stepping up them game and the same goes with Leverkusen.
They shouldn't keep on thinking they've won it already, rather they should be focused on the bigger picture at the end of the day you understand?

Making him the newest Liverpool Coach of Bayern Munich makes perfect sense and replacement. It'll be ten points tomorrow as they've Bayern Leverkusen to win against Kolhn
Of a truth, football is one of the most unpredictable sports in the world and that's why it's simply the most exciting sports in the world. We have been able to see very surprising turnarounds over the years and have also seen some teams who were initially written out from winning a league because of the number of points they were trailing the league leaders at some point in the campaign end up winning the league title at the end of the season but considering what we've seen so far from Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen this season, I think it'll be extremely difficult for Bayern Munich to catch up with Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga table. Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen is currently leading the league table with seven points ahead of the second placed Bayern Munich who has played one game more than Leverkusen.

On Friday night, Bayern Munich dropped two points in their game against Freiburg and should Bayer Leverkusen win in their game against Koln, Leverkusen will extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points which will further increase their chances of winning the German Bundesliga title at the end of the season and end Bayern Munich's 11 years consecutive winning of the league title. Xabi Alonso's men are still unbeaten in the league and I don't even expect them to lose to koln.

I didn't watch the Valencia vs Real Madrid match because I missed it and then saw the replay of the goal and it had to end 2-2.

What's getting a lot of attention now on Twitter is the controversy of the referee blowing the whistle when Real Madrid were attacking and it was during a cross from a corner in the middle that the whistle was blown with a goal for Real Madrid against Valencia.

Normally the referee always gives a few moments of time during an attack that I know of, but this time the referee decided the match during a crucial Real Madrid attack, and protests followed.
One thing about the big clubs with huge global support is that whenever results doesn't go their ways, you see the fans trying to make something out of nothing just to discredit the referee that officiated such matches and despite the fact that I'm a Real Madrid fan, I'm never gonna be among those who are strongly condemning how the referee blew the final whistle. Real Madrid had all the time in the world to win the game but failed to do so and even struggled to get the one point they got in the game. This is not the first time that Real Madrid have allowed themselves to first concede one or two goals before trying to come back in the game but what actually made today's results different from some of the games they trailed and later won is that the home team Valencia didn't give them that chance to win the game and now the fans of the club are trying to blame the referee for blowing the final whistle when it was obvious that the time additional time had already elapsed.

Carlo Ancelotti without doubt have been a great manager for Real Madrid and I don't think there's any Real Madrid fan who'll not attest to the fact that he's done exceptionally well for the club since he took over the managerial position at the club. However, since the start of the current season, his team in some matches they were expected to convincingly win had allowed their opponents to score one or two goals before they'll start fighting for a come back. As a top team, they most not continue to do things that way if they really want to win major trophies this season.

Victor Osimehn said he loves to be play for Chelsea if he wants to play in the EPL. However, Mikel Obo has supported the motion that he would propel him to go there so that he can be a start in Chelsea. Pairing with the likes of Cole Palmer and Sterling. Chelsea will be so great that they may win so many competitions together.

What are your opinions on this? Do you think this transfer news is something that is what paying attention and if Chelsea would want someone like Victor Osimehn. Let me know your thought on this.
This is the first I’m hearing Chelsea is the preferred destination of Victor Osimhen. PSG and Arsenal have shown interest in the player. He’s a prolific striker, Mark Obi is a reputable figure and has influence amongst Nigerian footballers. I hope he doesn’t convince Victor Osimhen to join Chelsea. I do not want Victor Osimhen to move to Chelsea. They are not in good form, they are not winning the league in the next two years in my opinion. There’s no glory to be had at Chelsea.
Victor Osimhen is from Nigeria and just like most of the young African players, he was supporting an European club in his childhood days and that club happens to be Chelsea football club. Now that he made it to limelight in professional football, he still didn't hide love for Chelsea and how he's been supporting the club in his childhood days but that doesn't mean that the Nigeria international have ever said he's loves to play for Chelsea. It's one thing to publicly show admiration to the club that he's been supporting for a very long time and absolutely another thing to say that he'll play for that same club.

That being said, I'm not trying rule out a possible transfer of Victor Osimhen to Chelsea in the summer but considering the performance of the London club in recent seasons and the fact that they won't be playing in the UEFA Champions League competition next season, I think it'll be extremely difficult to convince the Nigeria striker to commit his future to Chelsea. Victor Osimhen have already announced himself to the world as well as making it very obvious that he has all it takes to succeed in any big European club should he leave Napoli and that's why expect him to go to a club that's playing in the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea I think have some internal tactical crises at the moment which is why their performance in all competitions in the past two seasons have been awful so signing for them will likely affect the performance of Victor Osimhen

PSG was leading the game by owning more ball possessions but monaco was able creating more shot on target rather than PSG. it's surprising me how no goal happened from this match. There's something wrong with PSG and monaco. These clubs have been so wasteful in this game.
As you can see that monaco and PSG wasted so many chances. This is also making no change in the current standing. PSG is still leading the competition with very big gap to the second place. PSG has been performing so badly especially for the attacking lines.
These attackers were unable in maximizIng its chances to scored at least one goal against monaco. The thing that impressed me is barcola. This guy is relaly having a lot of potential to be the next great winger.

Enrique has been getting very good talent to replace mbappe and he was barcola. The bad result against monaco can be a good lesson for PSG to perform better in the upcoming games. It can still lead the game with very big gap. I see that several time PSG's players are always shooting straight to the ball instead of aiming the free space to put ball in the back of the net.
This is really awful performance from the expensive attackers owned by PSG. I salute to the defensive line of monaco caused by it was able blocking so many attacks from SPG. Totally unpredictable result.
It's hard to understand that the result is very different compared to the first leg.
The League match between these two teams were getting intensed especially as Monacco were in a bid to steal a point or more to maintain their stand on Ucl qualification next year. This match happens to be one match that was a stepper to actualizing that dream. Before this match, We had Monacco who got all 3 points in the last match and they played exceedingly well. In this match, though Monacco weren’t at their best but they put up a performance that’s considered to be that of warriors.

PSG who played away were very poor in this match and this has shown that this PSG side is one team that can’t be relied on. The attackers are doing little or nothin in making this club be a productive side and it’s quite worrisome that this is the case after the much spent on the club. Well they just got a new coach who’s trying to balance the team and it’s quite understandable. Yes they’re leading the league standings with a very good number of points and for that I think they don’t have much a worry rather they’ve got to try to improve especially for a competition like the UCL.

For Monacco, they were pretty good with the shots but weren’t able to convert them to goal and that shows the need for the team investing. Investment is what gets a team to attain a great level of productivity and that’s what Monacco needs at this point as they’re and could be heading to the UCL next season. In all the match was sure a great match and I think both teams had one or two correcetions to take home after this match as it’ll help the team in general to grow better for future matches.
Yesterday in the French Ligue 1, Monaco hosted French champions Paris Saint Germaine at the famous Stade Louis II stadium in Monaco and for a game that many predicted will produce a lot of goals, it ended goalless and that I think made a lot of people to lose their stakes. Paris Saint Germaine who has win the league in the last seven seasons are trying to make sure they retain it at the end of the season and make it eight in a row but their host Monaco made sure that Paris Saint Germaine didn't leave their home with all three points.

That being said, I don't think the result of the match was the talking point in that game rather the decision of Paris Saint Germaine manager Luis Enrique to substitute Kylian Mbappe off from the game at halftime which happens to be the second consecutive time the France national team captain wasn't allowed to play 90 minutes. After the final whistle of Paris Saint Germaine's previous before their visit to Monaco, Luis Enrique was asked why he decided to substitute Kylian Mbappe from the game and his answer was that Kylian Mbappe will be leaving the club very soon and that's why they must learn how to play without him and that I also think is the reason why he also subbed him off at halftime.

Kylian Mbappe will leave the club at the end of the season and from recent reports, he's definitely gonna join Real Madrid but that I don't think should be the reason why he should always be subbed off during games. The club manager must learn to respect him by allowing him play games for the club

Lukaku & Dybala co. again finished the job early with effective play in the first half. Roma will beat Monza with first half goals, Monza can't come back now. Dybala and Lukaku duo scored 10+ goals for Roma after a long time. They had an incredible start after Mourinho's departure, Roma are back in the top 5. This quality squad was wasted under Mourinho, fortunately with the arrival of De Rossi they are back in higher places as they deserve.
Since Roma were handled by De rossi we have seen quite good changes in their progress in Serie A. Roma managed to record 3 wins in a row which made their position even better in the standings. Believe it or not, Roma is now getting more confident because several players are starting to find their best performance. Lukaku and Dybala certainly have a big role in Roma recent progress because they are the spearheads of Roma victory.

In today match Roma were able to steal full points at home to Ac monza and Dybala also contributed 1 goals and Lukaku 1 goal. This victory is also a big capital for Roma because in the next match they will play in the European League against Brighton. De rossi work is quite impressive, he has good techniques to build a stronger team. I think Roma this season has a big chance of being able to close the season in the top 4 and be able to play in the Champions League next season.
Earlier today in the Italian Serie A, AS Roma convincingly defeated Monza by four goals to move to the fifth position of the Italian league table. Daniele De Rossi have been incredibly impressive since he took over the managerial position at the club after they're former manager Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club management. Before De Rossi was appointed manager of the club, Roma were destined to finish the season out of the top four positions but with the results that the club has been able to get in recent time, the possibility of finishing the season in the top four of the Italian league now seems like what can be actualized by the club thanks to the significant improvement in the team. When Daniele De Rossi was appointed the manager of Roma, a lot of people were of the opinion that he'll not be able to turn things around at the club because to them, they said that he's not got the enough managerial experience to improve a team that's struggling under a great manager like Jose Mourinho but with that he's achieved so far with the club, it's obvious that the young Italian manager is destined to become one of the best managers in Europe in the future.

With Roma's result at the Stadio Brianteo, Roma are now just two points behind fourth placed Bologna who'll play sixth placed Atalanta tomorrow. Since Atalanta will be hosting Bologna tomorrow, it simply means that either one of them drops points tomorrow or the two teams share points. The race for who finishes in the top four of the Italian Serie A at the end of the season just got more interesting and I can't wait to see how things unfold.

Valencia  2-0 Real Madrid 40 minutes

Are Real Madrid going to lose today against a smaller team like Valencia? It will be a disaster if Madrid lose today. And lots of gamblers will lose their money. And before long we will see a Madrid defeat.

Valencia won the last home match against Real Madrid 1-0. Valencia is very confident in today's match. Valencia took a 2-0 lead in just 30 minutes. Despite having Bellingham, Vini and Rodrygo in Madrid's attack, they are not playing well. Despite having 69% of the ball possession, Madrid managed just one shot in 40 minutes.

Hugo Duro scored from Fran Perez's assist in the 27th minute of the match and Roman Yaremchuk's goal just 3 minutes later gave Valencia a 2-0 lead. The first half is probably going to end 2-0.
It's halftime at the Mestalla stadium in the Spanish La Liga game between Valencia and Real Madrid and the scoreline is 2:1 in favor of the home team. Real Madrid in several occasions this season have come from behind to score snatch wins against some of their opponents in the Spanish La Liga but the big question tonight against is can they repeat that same feat tonight against Valencia? Valencia as we all know is one of the top traditional clubs in Spanish football but in recent years, they've not been able to put out good performances and that's made so many football fans across the globe to forget how strong and decisive they can be especially on games they're playing at their best. Real Madrid will have to produce one of their best form of football tonight to come back in to this game and I think they're capable of doing it because they've got all the needed quality of players to come back in this game however, I think it'll be very difficult for them to achieve a comeback because Valencia have been impressive tonight and if Valencia can replicate their performance in the first half of t this match in the second half,  they're definitely gonna make things extremely difficult for Real Madrid to have a chance of coming back into the game.

Real Madrid are currently leading the Spanish La Liga table with six points ahead of second placed Girona and eight points ahead of Barcelona who are in the third position of the league table but must make sure they win tonight to still maintain that gap at the top of the league table. Should Real Madrid lose tonight and Girona win their match week 27 game in the Spanish La Liga, Madrid will be ahead of Girona with just three points and that I think will give Girona a chance to still come back and reclaim their top spot in the league table.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 02, 2024, 08:58:05 PM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?
There are many people who take loans to participate in gambling, they go into a lot of debt to get loans, so lenders come to them for loans, they have to sell their houses and land to pay off their loans. I have seen many people around me who take loans from moneylenders to gamble. They take loans and participate in gambling and at some point they lose everything as lenders come to them for loans, they have to sell their houses and land to pay off their debts. Such gamblers are the most hated people in the society, especially in the rural society these people are very hated by all the people. A small budget should always be used for gambling and never more than a small budget. Those who have spent all of their life's income on gambling are the ones who suffer the most and end up in debt.
When a gambler becomes addicted to gambling, the possibility of controlling his gambling activities becomes almost impossible and at that time, he's very likely to make decisions that'll affect him deeply. I've been opportuned to see gamblers who sold off almost everything in their custody including the ones they that aren't legally their own just to fund their gambling addiction and I've also seen others who went as far as borrowing money from money lenders while using their landed properties as collateral just to also find their gambling addiction. But the good thing about the above mentioned actions some addicted gamblers take is that they'll end up suffering the consequences of their actions by themselves unlike what happens when the take loans without a collateral and probably promise the loanee that they're going to pay later and dies without paying those loans.

When a gambler takes a loan or borrows money and fails to repay before dying, the debts are in most times going to be inherited by his close relatives who will now have to go through the pain of paying for a debt they didn't know when it was incurred but that's not the most painful part of paying such debts. The most painful thing about paying for such debts is that the debts will be payed with the knowledge that the  diseased used the proceeds of the borrowed money to gamble. My opinion about this kind of scenerio is that the law should be more kind to the relatives of such person so they stop paying for a debt they didn't incure

Liverpool's victory cane at the last minute of the game and it wasn't looking like a convincing victory to me but then most importantly they were able to win and got three points at the end of the game which has further strengthen their spot at the top of the table and further increased their chances at the trophy this season but then they are still been followed closely by Manchester city who is just four points away from them which actually means if Liverpool loses a match and Manchester city wins, Liverpool may be likely displaced by the next game but then the current form of Liverpool is such that they may not get to loose two straight games before the end of the season which is very much close already. Manchester city will definitely try but I doubt If they will be able to repeat the results they had last season again this season.
Liverpool without doubt struggled in their English Premier League game away at Nottingham Forest today but were lucky to get that last minute goal by Darwin Nunez that ensured they left the game with at least a point in that game. Mohammed Salah's absence I think is having a big negative effect on the Liverpool team because since he picked up that injury, the club have been struggling to create goalscoring chances and that's made it very difficult for them to win games. Darwin Nunez who is just returned to action after few weeks out with a little knock was subbed in to the game in the second half to help the team find a win in other to maintain their place at the the top of the league table and he made sure he delivered the team and extend their lead at the top of the table to four points pending the result of Manchester City tomorrow against Manchester United.

Chelsea played a weak game, although they were been hosted by Brentford who hasn't been really bad performing this season but then Chelsea was seen as that favorite in this game and was hoping to get to win against the Brentford that was considered just average although Chelsea has been in the same grade this season but it was a balanced game as I didn't get to see anyone outplaying the other.
Chelsea's general performance this season I think have been one of their most inconsistent since 2003 that their former owner Roman Abramovic took over the ownership of the club. Despite spending hugely to sign high profile players in the last three transfer windows, Chelsea is still struggling to win matches even against struggling teams in the English Premier League. After they took the lead in this game, I was of the opinion that they're going to score more goals to win the game but little did I know that the home team will turn things around in the second half of the game. If not for Axel Disasi's late goal, Chelsea would've still conceded another league defeat today.

I'm curious how many people have such high expectations for Manchester City this season that everyone predicts they will win the league again.. My only motivation for supporting Manchester City is for them to work hard and defeat Liverpool in order to cut their lead and keep them from finishing first, and for Arsenal to have complete peace of mind in order to play so well.

I am one of those who doesn't want to see Manchester City win this season I'm tired of seeing their dominance and the league is not interesting if it is dominated by just one club I want to see new winners like Liverpool, it's just that currently Liverpool's position is not better because many players are injured. So far we cannot predict who will win the title because there are 3 teams that have the same potential Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.  Indeed, Manchester City seems to be the favourite but I'm sure Liverpool can recover quickly and keep fighting.
What makes many people to see the English Premier League as the strongest league in the world is because of how competitive it is but in the last three seasons one club have dominated the league and as a lover of competitive football, I wouldn't want the same club to win the league this season. Pep Guardiola's Manchester have

Roma's game is still quite good. there are good players like Dybala and Lukaku in the team. Mourinho's departure didn't have too big of an impact on Roma's game. but you can be sure that Brighton will make things difficult for Roma in the next match. but if Roma can get up now, maybe Roma will become a competitor to Liverpool and Leverkusen.
However, in the group stage, we saw a bad game from Roma. and now they are rising again to try to enter the European League trophy competition.
Not only Mourinhos departure didn't do any damage, but they actually became better after he left as well. Which really isn't great for Mourinhos legacy as well, dude has been around for a long time and he still ended up being wrong in most cases, I feel like it wasn't really all that easy to handle.

I personally believe that the best thing to do in this case would be Mourinho to go to Saudi Arabia, because they would hire him just based on his name alone. De Rossi on the other hand may have a much better career after this, because he took over a team that weren't doing that well, and ended up having some great wins, and even streaks, to keep the team alive and doing well. These all matter to him, and should be important.
Undoubtedly, AS Roma have been delivering more impressive performances since Jose Mourinho was relieved of his duty as the club manager but that I don't think makes Mourinho a bad manager. The Portuguese manager during his time at the club gave his best for the club to make sure they stay relevant in European football but unfortunately for him, his best wasn't just enough for the club. In his first full season at Roma, Mourinho helped the club to win the first edition of the UEFA Conference League trophy and just last season, he led the club to another European final which happens to be UEFA Europa League final against Sevilla but sadly for Jose Mourinho, his team lost that final. This season, we saw Roma underperforming especially in the Italian Serie A and that's why the club management had to sack him.

Talking about a Jose Mourinho's potential move to the Saudi Arabia league, though I'm not tryna totally write off, but I still think it'll be extremely difficult for a manager like Jose Mourinho to leave European football to become a manager in the Middle East. Currently at Roma, Daniele De Rossi is doing well at the club and should the club continue with their current performance, I think they'll go far in the UEFA Europa League competition. But I still do not consider them as one of the top three clubs that can win the competition this season
